I’ve driven endless times along Snake Pass, and I was nervous and careful every time, especially when I was delivering in the Derbyshire area when it snowed. Someone comments on this Snippet, saying a cyclist ignored a red light? – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –What a lonely day, today. Well, it wasn’t really. But none of the regular Carers called. So our little jokes, insults and swipes at each other could not be activated. I missed them! Hehe! The computer was playing up, resulting in me not getting so many photographs due to the time I spent making corrections. Peripheral Neuropathy Pete was to blame. The right hand and arm had now joined in with the right leg suddenly dancing and Shirley’s Shaking Shoulder, which often made me so frustrated, angry, and annoyed. I would verbally curse, with such words as “Flip it!” “Bother!” and “Oh, Heck!
I emptied the nocturnal catheter pouch into the jug. To get a more accurate assessment of the colour to record on the log I gave it a four, I think. Off to the wet room in response to the rumbling innards. I thought Constipation Conrad would be in charge. But no. ruled again. Minutes after coming out into the hallway, I had to dive back in and on the Porcelain Throne. An even more giant dollop of liquid waste shot out this time. With such force, not many areas of the wet room or I didn’t need cleaning up this time. I returned to the medicine drawer and took two of Morrison’s Anti-Splatter capsules. I suppose it might have been caused by last night’s vegetable and beef dish, which I enjoyed so much. It contained a lot of vegetables, gravy thickener, and even a splash of liquid smoke. Took a break from the irritating error creating on the computer, to make a brew of Glengettie tea. Took this blotch-ridden photo of the late morning view. Back for my third and final… up to now, visit to the . Much less evacuated this time. And came out with a few discernable lumps in the almost liquid mass. Back to CorelDrawing. It hasn’t crashed, but I’ve hit the wrong colour or function tab so often that it’s taken me longer than ever to create three find-the-difference graphics. It’s galling bothersome! What a fantastic set of small clouds Kodak Tim could take from the kitchen window. Contrails, blotches, and tiny puffs of cloud seemed alive as they were being blown about so easily. Great! I got the mug from the very effective tea-stain removal I use. Baking soda, bleach, a drop of washing-up liquid, and hot water are poured into the mug. It comes clean within a minute of soaking. It’s just a rare moment to get something right, you know. Hehe! I thought I’d have one of the Carer & nurses nibbles. I found this Snickers bar cooling in the fridge for the next one to call. Guiltily, I tried to eat it with my mug of tea. The teeth bled, My lips bled, and I promised never to eat chocolates from the fridge again! Took these two cloud shots as the sun came down. Then, I sorted out the fodder. I put the vegetable pie in the oven and prepped the instant potatoes to be made after it was cooked. I’m in an Egon Ronay mood, or maybe it is a Gordon Ramsey one? This might turn out a good one again… Mmm! It is close to the time for the last Carer call. The last one said the belated prescriptions ought to be arriving soon. He told me that two medications were run out. I leave it to them nowadays. I got it served up, and it was delightful. It’s been a good meal for two nights on the trot now. It was a hell of a job to wash up afterwards. The bowl with the cheese and potato in it was a battle to get cleaned. Well, the cutlery was as well. But I enjoyed it so much. Also, the Carer was a little later than usual, so I ate it in undisturbed peace. I got down to watch the 21:00-hour Lethal Weapon 2. When the adverts came on, I nodded off, waking several times and missing a few minutes of the action. The last time I woke up was to see the screen credits rolling. Humph! No Care called. So, I’ll have to have a stand-up wash and shave in the morning. I cannot get the diabetic socks on or off without help.
I hope the catheter equipment arrives soon. The day pouch should have been removed and replaced on Thursday, I think it was. But we agreed not to bother, as the District Nurse was coming to change the whole she-bob on Friday. But they couldn’t find any of the Catheter set-ups to put on. Said she’d return the next day with a kit from the base. But she didn’t. Then I got an email from Vyne saying they had received my order and requested a prescription from my doctor, who would let me know when it was dispatched. So it may be well into the week before it does arrive. I hope the medications arrive soon. I’ve no idea which ones I’m currently missing. Not that any blame is attached. Some staff are on holiday, others are off poorly, and replacements are not offah with the system or needs. It reminds me of my time as Security Controller. Late arrivals, clients calling, alarms to be responded to, Patrol Officer instead of three, Police messages, Clients ringing in, and no staff left to call and beg to come in on their day off. I know the feeling!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Due to the calamity, I had no time to create Local News Snippets. Sorry. It’s Saturday morning, so I’m well behind with the blog overall. After the hospital, I waited patiently for the District Nurse, who said she would return with the catheter implements, check things, remove the old one, and put a new one into Little Inchie. Unfortunately, she did not arrive.
So, now I don’t know whether to ask the Carer to change the day pouch, which should have been done on Thursday or not.
I suppose there is a chance that the nurse will call on a Saturday. But I could do without it, with so much blogging to catch up with. Here goes… – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Dark.
Waste bags.
Morning view.
Zoomed horizon.
Whoopsie!
Templates had to be made. Took me hours and hours! Hoping the nurse would call.
Ready-made smoked haddock meal tonight. Looking forward to this; back to the template work while it is cooked.
Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this. Humph!
Back to the templating. Carer Chris arrives. He said he had known District Nurses to attend at night sometimes; he’d seen them. I’d been watching ‘Heartbeat’ while doing the templates, and I am concerned that I may not have heard the door chime if they had called. Then, I remembered they did not press the chime; they just came straight in if the door was not locked, which wasn’t the case. The catheter is beginning to sting a bit now… at the tube’s entry point. Say no more!
I was tired, so tired. But I tried to stay awake longer just in case the nurse came after all. She didn’t! I can’t imagine them coming on the weekend for a routine job?
So, just a chance of a nurse calling, I’m not thinking of any cavorting! Just the Catheterisationing, Although the pain can be crucifying,
Less chance of any coagulating,
It will have me celebrating,
I’m not moaning but clowning…
Back to grinding computerisationing,
Then do some self-cognoscing! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT’S ONLY 2 SECONDS? – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Confusionabalitis was in constant attention today. The headache I’ve had since my last is finally getting easier, annoyingly slowly, though. The times that I lost the plot, even of what I was thinking at the time, let alone doing. But not early in the day. I coped easily with creating the ode? I enjoyed doing it despite the regular errors, which I hope I found and corrected. I am aware that I’m struggling more and more, and I expect to. Yet even with the seizures and mind blanks, there were periods of such clarity – fair enough, they didn’t last long. I felt almost another person, or at least a younger me at times… again. I think they lasted between a moment or two up to half an hour or so. each time I had to communicate with a Carer, and a few times when I was doing the talking (usually moaning about some ailment or other, Hehe!), I completely lost what I was saying or going to say. Yet, in the Comment Section on WordPress, I seem to get inspired. Is that the word to use? My concentration and interest peaks. No sooner than leaving the page, the bafflement returns. If, by some miracle, a medically mentally trained person should read this moaning tripe and can explain why this is happening to me, PLEASE let me know. I fank You! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
05:15hrs: I stumbled out of the bed, which I couldn’t recall getting into, and was on the bottom of the fall bar. I laughed it off.
I wobbled off to the Porcelain Throne. It was an odd evacuation. As were the following five other visits throughout the day. I’ll not mention them again. I released and emptied the , and the Memory-Blanks started. They didn’t stop. I think came first. This is when I began to lose what I was talking about.
I made the three waste bin bags into one large one and placed it near the front door. (Well, I don’t have a back door, Hehehe!) The Porcelain Throne visit #2 was made. It was in the same mode as the earlier one. I had a wash and got the medicationalisational needs tended to. The ankles and legs looked even better this morning. I wish I could say the same for Chloe and Carole Cartilages. The swelling behind was a little delicate when I lifted the leg or genuflected that knee. Which, of course, had to be done when getting the mature, expensive nappies on. I mean, Protection Pants on. Haha! The food order arrived. I got the nosh stored away in various places. No shortage of feed now. Cornish Pastie, Lamb & Beef patties. Turkish beef, potato rostis, potato hash browns, Vegetarian sausages, Surimi chunks, whole milk, spring water, medical plasters (I shan’t be eating these!), cans for treats, and a few pots of baking powder. Oh, and pork pies. Carer Shaquille returned as I got on the computer. It was better late than never.
Looking a little bleak out there. The blotches were back again today on Kodak Tim. Tsk! As the afternoon went on, the Mind-Blanks increased. I struggled with blogging all afternoon. Lost words, misspellings and grammar errors. (Picked up by Grammarly). I took a few breaks and shots of the view from the kitchenette window through the afternoon. We had none of the forecasted storms. There were just a few spots of rain when it threatened to storm, though. But it didn’t last very long, just for a couple of minutes. After the teatime Carer Christopher call, I concentrated on preparing and presenting the meal. Hask browns are mini pork pies halved and blotched with tomato ketchup. There are some very lovely small vines of UK tomatoes. A large pot of orange jelly will follow!
I was still looking. Haha!
I Kodak Tim’d a final horizon shot of the ribbon of unique colours on view from the kitchen. Can you see the bird, fish or lake in this picture?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – The effects of yesterday’s tumble and loss of blood were felt today. After spending so long on the Ode, I got the blog up to here, which is more than it’s ever taken me before. A much-belated headache and I seem to have awoken the recently calm and unbothering me, Dizzy Dennis, who is unhappy with me. So from here on, things might get minimal, basic and mistake-ridden. I could be wrong, of course.
I’ll take another Codeine and press on.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Quickly done, it’s so late already, sorry.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – At first, I was worried about the urine being so dark, but I realised it must have been the kerfuffle when I fell in the wet room yesterday, so I’ll not fret yet.
The NCC electrician called. She was a friendly gal who quickly replaced the socket. In appreciation for her help, I was given a nibble and drink. I’ll have to get a new lampshade.
The plaster on a mammoth, massive 2mm wound on my head was showing a little blood, but not a lot, as Paul Daniels used to say. Hehe! The Carer took these photographs using Kodak Tim. The redeye looked to be well-receeded. Did I spell that right? Changed it. Took a snap of the lovely streaky clouds on view. Then, the headaches began. They’ve stayed with me a;; day so far. (20:60hrs)
I gave the new cheapo camera to Carer Chris. It is no good keeping it. The handle allows two fingers to go through it. The battery cover is loose and very delicate. I shall continue with Kodak Tim despite the occasional blotches that appear in the pictures. And the USB connector it very stiff to get in and out of the camera. And there is no lens cover on it, with fiddly tiny buttons. I think maybe I bought a child camera. Still, that suits Chris. His missus can have it. He likes it too! Good for him.
Got the bags sorted out. I ordered some plasters from Asda. They are so much cheaper than the Amazon ones I looked at. But I did see they had some Brut splash all over and deodorants at a fair price. I ordered some. It should be coming tomorrow. In time I hope for when the Carer takes off the plaster from my head. Just in case it bleeds again, the Brut might sting a bit, but it’s usually a good shaving cut bleed stopper.
I pressed on with the Ode, not even started on the blog yet. I thought this Kodak Tim shot of the houses opposite the flats came out nicely. Smug Mode! Note that the smudge or blotch is back on the screen and photos again. A smidge disappointing cause I thought that these two photographs came out okay; otherwise. Carer Joanne called. Glad she is feeling a bit better – unless she is fibbing. Hahaha! Carer Chris took the Laundry down for me and returned it later. The socks came back wet again; all six sleeves in the dressing gowns were inside out. So, everything is normal there. Haha!
I’m not feeling up to much now; it gets worse as I get tired. It’d help if this bloody headache eased off. I took my limit of painkillers. Yet I’m so glad to say that the lower regions are not tpo painful at all from the catheter tube. I can’t last, of course! I don’t feel hungry enough to bother making a meal. I’ll have some seaweed crisps and tomato sarnies… well, I might.
I’ve had a go at the WP reader. Amazing photos from New Mexico, Paul’s poetry that captures the mind, and Andy, the cat we all love, from Doug.
Wonderful Cloud Formations.
What do these bring to the mind of a Pareidolianist like Inchy. ? Is it a whale?
Is it a bird?
Is it a lizard? Is it a shark? I can see every one of them at the same time.
This headache is still with me, with a sort of throbbing, if that’s the right word. Carer Victor called, and he got the socks off. The Medications were given, and the nocturnal catheter pouch was attached to the day bag. I hope this head pain-throe stops soon. It’s not like me to have headaches… well, it wasn’t until I had butted the sink or tap. I didn’t appreciate how bothersome the belated headache could be until today. Now, where’s the Codeines?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – All is revealed at the bottom of this magnificent blog. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – 04:10hrs: I stirred back into this beautiful, energetic, passionate, loveable, happiness-enriched, appreciated, happy wakefulness of life. However, there was a minor miracle, I have to say. Although the usual pains from both cartilages were soon rampant, now here this… there was no titter-od-a-pain from Little Inchy’s Fungal Lesion or even Little Inchy! Fantastic! Oh, also, up to now, 17:15hrs, not a single shock from the !
I hobbled to the wet room to empty the nocturnal catheter pouch in the WC. It was not a good colour again this morning, and my blood pressure was too high. I decided as it was early, to get the ablutions and medicationalisationings done after tackling the evacuation. Trotsky Terence was yet again on form. More watery evacuations, like I don’t think I’ve ever suffered before. I guess those sausages don’t fit well with my innards? By the time I’d stripped, a matter of maybe five minutes later. I was back seated on the Throne again. Did the teggies, cleared the nose, and got the shaving tackle ready for service. I started shaving, and things seemed to be going pretty well. Then, I had a sudden And at almost the same time, who gave way but, . I suppose it might have been called lucky, as I fell onto the sink. It was all over in a few seconds; although I was wobbling and hit my head on the tap, I didn’t hit the deck for once. I sat on the for a few minutes to recover. This was when the blood flowed onto my face, cheeks and chin from my head. I’d got Kodak Tim in the dressing gown pocket from taking the pouch snap earlier to try some selfies of the wound. As fast as I cleared the blood, it was coming again. Only one thing for it, I thought. The after-shave stops the blood and stings, but it is so effective. Not this morning! I must have spent an hour or more trying to stop it. I went a little fuzzy-minded at this stage. I refound myself in the kitchen. I returned to the wet room to check if I’d left the taps running. I could see the pile of kitchen towels and toilet paper with bits of blood on them. There were some in the waste bin, and for some unknown reason, I’d spread others around the toilet seat? Still, it let me take a snap of them, Hehe! Then, I found the blood-soaked plaster on the top of my head. The box of plasters was in the kitchen, so I cleaned it up; it was still bleeding, so I put two thick plasters on it after trying to see if the Brute would work this time. What had happened was a bit foggy in my mind. I’m unsure if what I’ve written is exact, anyway. I’ve just had a thought!Maybe the persistent flowing blood was shooting out with the help of Dementia Doreen, thinking she was under attack? Har-Har!
I cleaned what must have been the most minor cut ever and put another plaster on. Then I meandered out onto the balcony for a nosey around, taking care that the dressing gown was well closed, as I had no socks on nor Protection Pants, and I was aware that if I had not, the tackle would be on view from below. The few minutes on the balcony, like yesterday with the police incidents, were just as interesting. First, I saw about six magpies in the car park mudslide having a bath together… Seconds late, about ten crows appeared and saw off the magpies in no time. Then, a poor fox appeared from the trees, and just one of the crows made for him, diving at him or her until he disappeared into the tree copse. The poor fox seemed to know what would happen when he saw the crow. He kept stopping momentarily to assess where it was, then shot off again. They say things happen in threes. I wonder what tomorrow morning holds for me. Hahaha! I thought of my cyber-buddy Tim in New Mexico. He’d have some good photos, but mine disappointed me. Other than the blurry bottom photo, I could not manipulate things quickly enough to catch the fox. I felt so sorry for him. I imagine he would have been trying to collect food for his/her little ones.
I went back inside and changed the bloodied plaster again. As I was putting things in the kitchen waste bag, I was so glad to see Carer Maryham arrive. She immediately mentioned how white I looked and asked if I was alright. Then she saw the blood coming from the plaster. She replaced it, and again, I tried the shaving lotion to try and stop it. No joy. Maryham wanted to ring for an ambulance, which I was against. It had to stop eventually. I suggested she rang 111 for me to get advice. I couldn’t hear the conversation, but Maryham said they were sending an ambulance. While waiting two hours later, Sister Jane called to see if I was alright. She’d had a call from someone about me having an ambulance for a head wound.
The 111 lady rang Maryham back. They talked, and Maryham said we’ve got to get a clean cloth and press and hold it firmly on the wound (which apparently was the size of a small pimple) for at least ten minutes. If it stops or continues to bleed, ring them back to inform them. So, I had ten minutes holding and pressing a cloth on the pimple, and Maryham said the blood was barely leaking now. She rang 111 back, and they cancelled the ambulance, thank heavens. And thank heavens for Maryham. When she arrived, she was just finishing her shift and had to phone someone to take her young daughter to the nursery school. Bless her! I insisted she had some nibbles and a drinkie, at least. Saved the day she did! 🤎
The next few hours, well, almost as soon as Maryham left, I got Dizzy Dennis, Fog-Minded-Francis and went into so many flipping seizures and or mind blanks that I got to the stage of wishing the ambulance had come now.
When Carer Joanne came, things got better. Listening to her tell me about the horrible fall she had last night was like bonding—a double bonding, actually. She also has a catheter. There have been no more seizures after this—up to now. The Social Prescribing team lady rang. I explained that Carer Carer was on holiday and could not assist me with the questionnaire. She was understanding. I rang Jane back to tell her about the incidents, and I was alright.
I’m blogging away, but for an unknown reason, my sight was far more blurred than it had been. It was hard work—and still is. It could be due to the banged head, but I hope it clears soon. This is not good.
Carer Chris arrived. He gave me my medications and put the bulb back in the socket, but I was too nervous to put the light on anyway because it was so loose.
The NCC electrician arrived. A cheerful young lady. She replaced the lighting connections, and now I have light! Someone famous once said that… didn’t they?
Late now. Gonna get some grub! I got many electric shocks from the left ankle over the next three hours. (I spoke to soon?)
The chips in the oven were nowhere near cooked, so I took what was meant to be one snap of the interesting getting dark night view of the sky. My habit of pareidoliaising was put into practice with these. Can you see the eyes of the creature? The dog’s head? I must get my eyes done again. I got the meal served up. It was not one of my better ones, to say the least. The chips were not good. They were so bad I later threw away the rest of the bag from the freezer. Tsk!
Pareidoliaising, on the last Kodak of the day. Can you see the creature coming from the left with its mouth open? Hehe!
Even I found them, although it did take me a bit longer than the estimated 10 seconds. Tsk!

They distracted me so much. It’s the mystery of why that bothers me so much. I know I had Cancer lasered back around 1980, but the pains now seem to be changing. They are sharper than ever and so much more persistent that I’m not sure it’s the tube pulling on Inchy or something else that is the cause of my dilemma. Carer Chris helped me today with setting up the new SD reader, but I was too tired and worn out from the pain to try to use it. (This morning, the pains were less frequent until I got the ablutions done, and they are back again!) Less details on this blog. Cheers!
Well-blooded urine this morning. End car park in the rain.
No Carer Kara to help me while she’s on holiday for a fortnight for the 2nd day, I forgot to ask Carer Richard to put the diabetic socks on for me and then forgot when the midday Carer arrived. No wonder the legs are thickening up again. Vascular Vanessa’s eruption bases are showing already.
Iceland order. Plenty of sausages? A mixed bag of treats, bread & cleaners. Joy! Lemon Tartlets!.
This shot clearly shows the mess made in the wall breather. They told me they were coming back to sort it out, but that was in September 1989. I think I let them done by living so long. Hehehe! Another visit!
I’d not been taking many photos. Sorting out WordPress photo gallery updating the wrong pictures, and even the right ones are often inserted as a different one? Arrgh! When I got around to making the nosh, and taking a photo of it, I realised that I’d left the SD card in the computer. So, although I’d only taken a handful in the afternoon, none of them were gettable. Arrgh!
Carer Christopher made his last call. He looked at the mini-disc and got a handhold on the camera, but I’m still waiting for him to get me a carrier so I can use it on the current USB board. He questioned the pain I was getting from the catheter, as the new to the flats chap above, as he put it: ‘Has no trouble or pain with his at all!’ That cheered me up! I pointed out to him about my having Cancer lasered, the small size of Little Inchy, and the medications I was on may affect things, such as the Finasteride tablets that the so-called specialist recommended that the Doctor puts me on for a month, that may reduce the size of my prostate and allow me to manually pee again. She’s still got me taking them now, a year later? Not that I will ever find out, cause since starting, the Community Nurses were to take out the whole contraption and give it overnight to see if I can pass on my own so’s to put it. They’ve only done this twice in over a year. Looks like I’ll never know?
WOT A MESSY, GET NOTHING DONE DAY! A quick rundown. You know me and quick, so it might not turn out that way. It was horrible today! But it didn’t start that way 05:00hrs: I woke reluctantly and waited for the to stop stinging me. A few minutes later, I edged my blubber-bellied body from the bed, cautiously started to do the balance exercises, and forgot I’d got hanging from Little Inchy, the tube and Catheter pouch on. Forgetting that took some skill on my behalf cause a moment earlier, I’d thrown it on the floor as I eased myself onto my feet. It has a very long tube. Then I trod on the bag, wobbled and. I got the nocturnal pouch removed and emptied, then made up the waste bags into one and left it near the door in the hallway. I took this early morning view on the left from the kitchenette window and decided I’d get a stand-up wash and shave. Which seemed to be going well, apart from when getting my feet in the bowl of water (it was too early to use the shower, as it can easily wake up the neighbours below), And stubbed the same toe for a second time on the raised seat leg on the throne. Got the shaving done in a fashion, teeth then I felt the need to utilise the . Yet another messy, misshapen, long, streaky bacon-shaped, session. I decided not to get the fresh PPs on yet and got back on the computer to start blogging again. He mentioned I was limping more than usual, so I told him of my morning so far, including the toe stubbings. He did larf! As I was boring him with my tales of woe, he was texting on his mobile, and I felt a little dampness in my groin. I got some kitchen towels and wiped the suspect area. When Carer Christopher left laughingly, I went back to the wet room and cleaned up and remedied things in need of it. Took another snap of the view from the same place earlier. Brightening up a bit now. The new mouse started playing up. I tried various things to find out what the trouble was, but no matter what I tried, I couldn’t. I wiggled the sender plug, put in a new battery, and then tried another mouse, all to no avail. Fed up, I took these shots of the oh-so-blue sky, with beautiful light clouds forming. When I got back to the computer, the mouse was working??? I’d got many items being delivered this morning, from Amazon. Then I checked the emails, and Amazon told me the Cat Mouse Mat had been delivered. I found it in the letterbox after farting about searching for ages. I took this shot on the right through the balcony windows, and then I checked the tracker for the other mats ordered. Sod me, it said they had been delivered. Another search around was fruitless. (Well, it would be; they are made of rubber, Hehehe!). My big fear was that Amazon had either left it down in the ground-floor foyer or maybe delivered it to the wrong block of flats, both of which they have done in the past. I had to put on some pants and hobbled to the lift to go down to the foyer to see if it was there. En route, I met Carer Chris, who came down with me to have a look. There was nothing there! I returned to the flat, and another email had come in, telling me the DPD company had delivered the Amazon parcel! What next could I do? Then, I spotted an update button on the email and pressed it. Up came proof of delivery from the company. A photo of the parcel being shoved through ‘Your letterbox!’ I espied the cock-up that had been made. It was not my flat number on the door. It was someone on the floor, above the number 76! So, I went back out again and went up to number 76. There was a sign on the door asking people to be patient after knocking, as the resident was disabled. So I knocked and waited for a few minutes, then gave up and returned to the flat. I pondered what to do or try next, and the door chime chimed! A gentleman from flat 76 found the packages and brought them down for me. That was so kind of him. Then the final delivery arrived from Amazon: a big box of Depend Protection Pants and a contraption I hope will let me use the new cheap camera’s mini-SD card. The highlight of this farrago was getting the first item delivered, the Cat-Mouse-Mat, out of the envelope and trying it out. I think that my cyber-mates Tim and Doug, both cat lovers, would have liked one of these mini mouse mats. Nowt special, it’s just the picture of the kitten that appealed to me. Can I get your addresses and I can order them for Amazon to deliver one to each of your homes? Go on, let me! The mouse seemed much better to use when on the Cat-Mat. Hehe! I got the Nurses & Carers treat shelved filled up. There’s a great choice for them now. I might try one of the grapefruit & pineapple. And pure grapefruit ones myself tonight. I’ve got some cordials to add flavour to my Bladder-Needing spring and soda waters: cherry, orange, lemon, and pineapple. Tons of choice in the cupboards, fridge and freezer to go at and pick from. Mind you, I’m broke now after getting the fodder and needs from Amazon, Tsk! Carer Victor arrived to perform his teatime medicationings. Had a little laugh. Gawd, my stubbed twice ingrowing toenail hurts! The blotches on the snap of the sun lowering really annoy me, but these things can’t be helped. It’s a bit like Putin, really. Hehehe! I finally finished and sent off yesterday’s blog and started on this one. It’s late now; I’m so tired after the complicated, problem-ridden day! Carer Victor did the last call. A Food Craving bout dawns!
But first, the evening’s earlier photos. I thought these were almost perfect specimens for me to do some of my beloved pareidoliaing. I found a few worms, a dragon, and faces and more than a few noses in them. Well, it gave me something to do while nipping in to check the cooking of the food every few minutes and test for readiness to feast. I took a lot of care in getting the Vegan sausages cooked. This time, I felt I needed to give them a little longer in the oven, and it paid off nicely. I tried putting a splash of mushroom ketchup in the tomatoes instead of salt, but I’ll not bother next time. The sunset picture taken from the kitchen window while I washed the dishes sadly had even more blotches on it than usual. I’ll try to see if Amazon has anything that may clean them off, although possibly they are inside the camera. I could not help but try to doctor the Kitten-Mouse-Mad to make it look as it appeared to my eyes. I love it!

A lot of cleaning up is needed after the evacuation!
My right ankle ulcer seemed to be getting worse again. There is not a lot of pain with it yet, but there was plenty of pain from the .
I brewed a brew of Glengettie tea and started on the blog. I expect more hassle with changes to MS stuff and CorelDraw problems with it crashing again.
Later, I took this silly snap in the reflection of the computer screen, which inspired today’s ode.
. The infamous mark or bodge is back on the camera lens, or whatever it is, again. Humph! Cleaned the lens again.
I hobbled out onto the balcony to take this photo of the end car park. I can’t see the blotch, but it may be hidden in their dark areas. Carer Richard arrived. He looked unwell still, which is to be expected with his bone disease. I can’t remember what it is called now, but he’s struggling. A cold drink and some nibbles were supplied at my insistence. As with Carer Kara, who got me my socks on because I didn’t want Richard to do them with the bending required. Kara mopped the kitchen floor and something in the junk room for me. I checked the catheter pouch, and medications were issued.
I spotted the beautiful clouds out there and took these ones above from the balcony. As you can see, the blotch has returned again. I gave the lens another cleaning. Grrr!
The flipping burn scar on the hand does not want to heal. 20 days now, I think, and still it shows?
So much for giving the lens another cleaning!
I didn’t eat all of the meal cause I made too much. But I did enjoy it! It could and would have been better if they had put some gelatine in the so-called Melton Mowbray pork pie. They used to years ago. I must ask Sister Jane where she gets her gelatinised pork pies.
I’m sorry there are no News Snippets today. I ran out of time, thanks to CorelDraw and MS making things so complicated.

I’m so far behind with everything after the £290 CorelDraw 2004 programme I just installed a few days ago crashed four times. As usual, a message came up after reloading each time, wanting my email and an explanation of what I was doing when it crashed, and I lost everything I’d done! Then I had more bother when the Control+I, and E did not work. The trouble is, if I do find a way around it, I forget how I did it the next time it happens.
And, when I was making some comment replying, WordPress blinked, and the comment disappeared! I turned everything off and rebooted. It was still off in the ether. But then I could not access the comments at all! This morning, it seems to be working… hang on, I’ll check again… They came up, but I’m not going to risk answering yet, until I get this blog done. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Pouch.
Urgh! Yet it took ages to get started?
Hoovered the hallway.
Balcony sky view.
The first mug of Glengettie. I let it go cold as I fought for hours to get CorelDraw working again. It was not easy; unbelievable it took me three hours! I’m still not confident.
A food order arrived. I think I’d bought comfort food. Balson shortbread biscuits, lemon mousse, pork pie, marmite nibbles, with some tomatoes (which were nice!), and sliced potatoes.
Drinkies, some for the treat shelf, vinegar and seasoning.
As the evening approached, the sky looked good.
I was fed up with all the time I wasted on computing, so I made an early meal for myself. Well, why not? Pigged the meal down. Thoroughly enjoyed it. But the sense of doom over the WordPress and CorelDraw problems would not leave.
Many blank spots throughout the day. Sorry.
Took this shot from the kitchen window. Thought it was good and showed hope that the Borealis may return later… Not that was awake, so I don’t know if it did show up in the skies or not… sky or not. I did wake up around 03:00 hrs, thanks to the , and hazily made my way to the window to take this picture. Not sure if that was the moon or not?

Morning Carer Selina arrived. She medicated me and put on the socks, and after the gal had gone, I’d lost the plot with what I was going to type. Sad, innit?
The day continued in this mould. There were a few Out-of-it moments. Either I fell asleep, had mind blanks, or had a few Non-Epilectic Seizures. Take your pick; it could be any one of them. Or perhaps a mixture. Occasionally, when I returned to imitation life, I found I’d been working on something on the computer while mentally AWOL, with no memory of doing so! On other occasions, I’d done nothing whatsoever as far as I could ascertain. Also, before Selina departed, she took photos of the wee-wee I released into the jug…
The fluffy bits of whatever were back again! But the nurse last month wasn’t worried. I’m sure it will be alright. Likely, it was bits of my prostate coming out. Cause when the Specialist Doctor put me on the Finasteride tablets for a month.
Hoping they will reduce the size of my prostate to let me manually wee again. So the month’s course is now a year-long one, and still, they ply me with more Prostate (RIP)-killing capsules?
A touch of overkill here, methinks. This is what makes me believe it’s the residue of my prostate floating in the jug of released urine? I don’t know, really. You never know; the Finasteride may have already done for the prostate and has now moved on to another organ to murder? Hehe!Haha!
I hope it doesn’t have a go at a larger organ; that would be pure agony to try and get whatever it was through Little Inchy and the Catheter’s narrow tube. (Inchy laughs weakly) With Confusion reigning again within my poor brain.
Concentration was as bad as it’s been for months today.
I’ll have to rush now; it’s Monday (10:15hrs), and as usual, I’m miles behind with the blog. I’ll have to comment quickly on the photos if I can recall the moment I took them. I’m so frustrated! And this morning (Mon), when I did the ablutions, I turned on the fan heater, and the room was filled with Acne and Eczema bits blown from all over my chubby, belly-dominated body. I don’t know why I told you that?

A better colour this morning.
The sun was creeping up from the rear left of the blocks of prison cells—no, no, flats! It gave this shot a specific flavour, but I forgot what word I was going to use.
It’s safe to say that the oven burn scar will soon start to crumble off of the hand. It’s not easy taking photos with one hand.
Out came the new cordless hoover with its headlights on when in use. I think I’ll name it Vacuum Victor.
Had a good long session on the crossword before I could encourage Conrad to free it.
I caught my hand on the rack as I grabbed the toilet roll, and bits of a green-looking scar dropped off. It has taken eleven days to heal. I’d better not pick at it, though.
Afternoon and evening sky snaps. Pareidolia’s Delight. Faces, bird heads, a human head… A taser, a beast with an open jaw, and a bird with an open beak—it’s incredible how many things I spotted today. This is the last of the sky shots I took. I took some later ones without the SD card being inserted into Kodak Tim. Tsk! It could happen to anyone, (he says).
16:20hrs: Carer Ali arrived as I sat down to have the meal. The feasting was resumed after he’d gone. Baked beans with BBQ seasoning were added to some tomatoes and veggie sauce, mini vegan sausages, and chips, and I had such a hard time getting grime off the oven tray. I tried cleaning it, but I gave up and threw it away! Hence, the chips were mangled, but I still enjoyed them, even if they had cooled too much. The pot of jelly was of a sour-type one. Nice & Tangy! I put the TV on until Carer Richard arrived. He suffered from leg problems and was in pain, so there was no laughter tonight; bless his cotton socks. Gave him a cold drinkie, and he soon had me sorted. Diabetic socks removed.
Even I had to laugh at the mess I got myself into getting into the hospital bed tonight. Farcical? Yes? But at the time, it was also humorous. I’d done the safety checks on the taps cooker, etc., and pulled the curtains back to get as much light in the room as possible; this was to try to avoid needing to use the torch. Turned off the lights and edged my way in the semi-darkness, along the bed, towards the operating thingy… I trod on a power socket extension that slightly made me jump. I knocked the overbed mini-table over, followed it onto the floor, and tripped again over the walking stick that had been knocked over as well. I wish this was being recorded in something other than my memory! It was worthy of being a Brian Rix-type Farce! As I struggled with my painful knees, which took me ages and started to foolishly, unthinkingly pull myself up using the bed as a grip… What a Plonker! Of course, the loose quilt on the bed assured my falling back down onto the floor and my bum again! I did feel like a silly old fool! and started bleeding, I was back to square one, on the floor in agony! I somehow walked on my knees to the recliner to get myself upright again. The grief from Cartilages Chloe and Carole was so bad that when I did manage to haul up my elephantine-stomached body onto my feet again, I took a Codeine, creamed the Fungal Lesion and Harold’s Haemorrhoids, and Phorpain-Gelled both knees and Back-Pain-Brenda! I rose upright to make my way to the bed again… No, there’s more to come yet!
I fought my way carefully and cautiously into the hospital bed, using the torch this time. Within seconds of finding a comfortable position, the need for me to use the Porcelain Throne arose! I was extra heedful and got to the wet room without further hindrances. The flow started as my bottom hit the plastic lid. It came and came… and came! It was a Kharki, almost liquid type of evacuation. You know, the kind that leaves an uncomfortable sensation in your innards… well, my innards!
The cleaning up afterwards took a long time. I had to clean and medicate again.
Then, a high alert mode was adopted for the trip back to the long overdue, belated sleeping on the bed. Amazingly, all went well with the return trip! I had a few hiccups getting into the bed, but they are not worth mentioning. I think I drifted off into the land of Sweet Morpheus Post-Haste. I woke up after a decent amount of time with a vivid memory of the farce in my mind. So, So, I scribbled down some notes to use here.
