Taken about 23:20hrs.
With my constant waking up and struggling to get back to sleep, I decided to get up and try to take snaps of the Goose Fair lights coming from the rides.
Undoubtedly, one of the most terrible efforts of nocturnal photography that I have ever made a mess of!
Well, all but the last one.

But that one was not zoomed in, and I had the window to lean on to try and keep Shuddering Shoulder Shirley from shaking me about. Nothing is going right with my plans and designs. There is no progress, no light at the end of the tunnel.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I woke up and fell asleep. Then I did the same thing 20 minutes later. On about the fifth wakening, I forced myself out of the bed. I battled to get the Nocturnal Catheter Pouch released from the day bag and was disappointed to see how dark the urine was. It seemed about as Dark as my incoming depressions.
I left the pouch on top of the bed so the caregiver could see it and give me a colour rating figure for the NHS Blood Pressure record.
I changed the ancient calendar clock to today’s setting. They were manual when they were made, which I imagine was in the early 1970s.
It was actual Goose Fair weather out there, as I took a photo of the fog and drizzle falling. Later in the day, a rain warning was issued.

As I turned from the kitchen window, my limited anger brewed! The annoyance was aimed only at me. I’d left the hot water tap running yet again! So, it is more hassle as I’ll have to get the ablutions done much later when the water heater kicks in. Oh, lucky me! Idiot!

Carer Richard came in. The lad was on his crutch, and it was the end of his shift, so he was paid with his leg and ankle, which were all strapped up again. He sorted the medications for me and then checked the medical drawer stocks. I’d hoped to remember to ask him to check the us-by-date on the filled Enoxaparin hypodermics, but as usual, I forgot to. Frustrating!

I started the blog, but I encountered difficulty after the problem. The memory messages kept coming up. Inevitably, CorelDraw froze on me while opening! I had to unplug everything to close it down, which meant getting back on, which took three times as long as usual. I’m still unsure if I chose the proper actions when prompted because I couldn’t understand or recognise what many offered me or meant.
CorelDraw restarted without apparent faults, and I started uploading photographs from last night. The bitmap editor was working okay. Then, the computer would not send the graphics or photos to the WordPress gallery. More short-on-memory messages came up on the screen.
I went into the recycle bin and found only a few items in it after yesterday’s Ccleaning. But I still couldn’t get the graphics to the file. I turned everything off again and rebooted. No good!
So I tried Ccleaner again. I was confused when it offered to continue, and it told me that icons and plug-ins would be put in sleep mode if I continued. I bravely clicked the ‘Continue’ button, but I felt nervous. Had I done the wrong thing or not? Maybe, perhaps?

I’ve asked everybody if they can help me get a computer man to add memory to the machine. I’ve phoned and asked three engineers, and none have responded positively, but I am positive I can’t cope with things.

Carer Chloe did the midday call, and I told her about my need to contact the Doctor to see if the two injection appointments could be done together and, more urgently, if they could arrange a home visit instead. I know I’m just adding to the nurse’s and Caregivers’ duties, and I feel guilty. I’ll also need help arranging an Easy-Link there and back home if they can’t do home visits for Saturday’s injections. Chloe did her best, but I think she was on a queuing list and did not have the time to spend helping. She’d got other clients to visit. Chloe said she’d ring later and let me know. ♥ Bless her. I’ll see how things pan out. But without help, I’m lost. I’ll just not have the injections.

A call came from the DVT Warfarin Anticoagulation Department at the QMC. I love that title. Haha! It was from Nurse Hristina, who advised me that she would call in the morning to take my blood. Another treasure! ♥

The rain has lightened a smidgen, but it is still falling. I poddled onto the balcony to take a shot of the Citrus  Way end car park’s mudslide coming down from Woodthorpe Grange Park. I imagine that the constant flooding may damage the flats’ foundations. But I couldn’t give a toss, as I feel today. Utterly frustrated and depressed with the lack of action and help with any problems being actioned on. Yes, I’m sinking spiritually, and stupid thoughts maturing! A frustration like never before. Oh, the rains got a little livelier lately.
Now, If I could get a little livelier…Ha-Ha!
The rain is now back to a pitter-patter, but does it matter to me? No!

I’ve just been to check if the hot water had hotted up enough for a shower and shave with all the associated attached duties; teggies, medicationalisationings, catheter rearranging, and getting back on, along with the dreaded getting the fresh PPs on. The water is heating up, but I’ll give it another hour to ensure it will be hot enough to shave in. I’ll have a go on WP comments and Reader. Not many of either on WP yet; I’ll hoover the room and dive in for the ablutionings. Back in a bit… well, two hours, that’s how long it takes me on average.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I’m back! The hot water was not warm enough for a shower, so I did the shaving first. I may add that it was a cutless shave, too! My first of the day! I searched for what must have been my fifth one today and found the cream. number two was engaged! The closest thing to a miracle was getting the fresh PPs on afterwards and reading them for dressing. It must have taken me;  wait for it; it took just three minutes to get them on! Honestly! I barely felt pain when I lifted my left leg to aim the foot at the leg opening. Number three!
It was a bit nippy without the socks on, but the slippers had a lining. So I put on the heavy Pancho, or should that be a Poncho? Grammarly seems happy with both. Ah, it just told me that Pancho is not or is the wrong word. Now it’s changed, and Pancho is accepted with a capital P. Gawd! Grammarly is more of a ditherer than I am in making its mind up. It might be a town? (Pancho).
I’ll look it up on Google. The answer: Pancho is the nickname for Francisco. Poncho is Alfonso’s nickname, and neither has anything to do with the garment’s origin. I had to read that a few times to understand it. Hehe! Well, here’s a selfie of me in my Poncho at the computer.

After starting the computer, the brightness kept changing of its own accord. It did it about six times, but it seems to have stopped playing up now. Also, the CorelDraw screen suddenly disappeared! Luckily, I’d done no work on it, so I closed it down and opened it again!
My depression, which had been helped due to the excellent , dawned again.
Back to normal!

I’m waiting for the teatime medications, Carer. Then I can make summat to eat. I’ll do the evening BP and a quiz graphic for the blog tomorrow.

Carer Promise could not find any night Catheter Pouches. We did a long search for them. All I could recall… or thought I could, was Promise opening a new bag last week, and instead of taking one out, took the lot out. At the time, I was sure this happened. But our mutual search proved negative. Now, with the tiny day pouches that are far too small, I had a problem. Promise called the Carers office and departed, saying he would be back. He returned and attached a 2nd-day bag to the current-day bag. Although both were small, they still overreached the floor when I stood up. This meant I’d have to bend down to empty it during the night. He added that a Carer would call on me a few times overnight to ensure things were okay. This gave me more confidence, and I dubiously thanked him, and off he went.
Naturally, no night carer called to see if things were alright, but I didn’t think they would.

Lamburgers and potatoes with sauce, eating the lamb in wholemeal bread sandwiches. I dropped the pot of lemon yoghourt, it burst open. By then, I was so low with all the problems on my mind that I could get no help with them, and I saw no solutions to put right.
Computer, camera, Catheter night bags, getting to the Doctor’s visit and back again, seizures, glaucoma. Toothache Tiffany, and Ordering medical attachments.
The realisation was that my memory, clarification, cognisance skills and arithmaphobia, thus, these problems and arithmaphobia ensured that my confidence and depression were going to go away or be cured.

I am at my lowest ebb ever.
I can’t rely on my memory, and my body and mind go off on their own routes. Because I can still use the computer, albeit taking so much longer and being error-ridden and maddening. I sense that people are suspicious of my ailments. This may be why help is not forthcoming with my problems. I now think my precious moments of clarity and upbeatness are not good. But at least for however long these feelings appear, I stop worrying.

I’d love to take another assessment at the madhouse in Nuthall. Typing this bit reminded me of the current problems with getting to see the doctor.
The cycle of worries started again.
As I lay in bed, I had dark thoughts. But having to keep checking on the two small catheter pouches broke my thoughts of things!

Someone could show me how, where, and when to order the pouches, straps, pads, etc. from. Write it down so I can remember details and timings. Inform me when I can and cannot request a lift from Easy-Link. That would help. Losing Kara was my biggest disappointment. She would come and sort things, file them, and list them, and now I can’t remember the phone numbers for various sections. I can’t even get in touch with my bank. She knew all about my bank accounts and contacts; she was a brilliant blessing for me in more ways than one.
I can’t blame her for moving to the Carers Office job. She’ll be great at that, too. No doubt the pay will increase, so I can understand her decision. ♥

Despite the lurking and attacking throughout the busy day,  computer and camera problems, Seizure Sandra, Dizzy Dennis, and Electric Shocking Sherida, there was an element I’ve not experienced since… Oh, let me think… erm… 2007!

“The District Nurse gave me a kiss!”

Thanks to Electric Shocking Sherida, I slept on and off, from the ankle up the leg. The nocturnal pouch was again only partly filled, and the tube held almost brown urine stuck in it—the blowback discomfort was not a good experience.
I got the pouch and went through the same routine as yesterday. Throwing the bag around and shaking the ultra-thick tube until the flow restarted and the blowback pains eased. The nocturnal pouch filled very quickly. Once I’d got the night bag off, the farting diddy day bag filled up straight away. I had to keep emptying it all day. The bending down so often upset Dizzy Dennis. But as of now, 17:05hrs, just the one tumble, but I didn’t go down on the floor; I fell in the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner.
I sensed the blood coming from Harold’s Haemorrhoids and made for the wet room to clean and medicate things. Pain and blood, but no evacuations of anything else. I gave up and started to do my other ablutionary duties. Teggies, nasal clearing, earhole olive-oiling, then got shaving. A few nicks here and there, but I’ve had far worse. A good body scrubbing, no areas missed off. Hehe!
Then, it was Harold’s Germoloiding time. The Catheter scars on the leg were Germolened, as were the under-tummy flab area and the man’s breasts with a barrier cream. I left the painful one till last. Dang, dang, dang, Dang! The Nerisone ointmentating of poor Little Inchies fungal lesion. Now how can I describe the pain when I rub it in? Dire, agonising, grinding, yes, they’ll do!
Agonising was left for Constipation Conrad’s visits to the. Well, the first two produced nothing but pain. The third attempt, while Carer Chloe was present, was classed as Super-Agonising as the brick-like content slowly crept out. Amazingly, there was very little bleeding, just a few specs in the evacuated product. Sorry, this tale of woe is out of sync. I can’t find my earlier reminder pages.
Perhaps I threw away the wrong sheet.
I know. It’s hard for anyone who knows my lucid, alert character to think I may have forgotten something.

The list was lingering this morning.
turned up and looked after me; it was grand. She rang the Doctors for me, making an appointment for Saturday, October 6th, for the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination. Chloe looked at the catheter mess and rang the District Nurses for me. Someone will come out today to check it over. Iceland delivery arrived while she was here. She helped bring the bags in and assisted me in putting some of them away. Bless her. She took the waste bags with her as she left. Thank you, Chloe.

I put the rest of the stuff away; there wasn’t much. Three annoying substitutes: They always substitute bread they have none of with the same loaf, which tastes like paper. It was flavourless and broke up if you dunked it or tried to spread No-Nutter Butter on it!
They did have a new fresh meal in a bag, 3 for £10, which I tried.
I opened one of the boxes, and it can be cooked; the meat and gravy in the bag, not the box, Hehehe! In five minutes. There was more fat than meat, but I’m a fair man, so I’ll hold any more judgement until I see how it tastes later. I must be unprejudiced, even against a company that takes off the delivery charge if you spend £40, then adds a Bags, Picking & Packing charge. But at least with them, you know something will be out of stock, and crap substitutes will be sent; as for the crushing of the fresh food…
We had a smattering of rain laterer a lot, mind you. I had a stroke of good luck as I closed the balcony window. The camera fell, and I caught the shoulder strap, so I saved any damage!

The District Nurse arrived and said she would order some short-leg-tubed catheters for me. I’ll have many limbs and parts shorter than they should be. Naturally, the almost brown urine that had been stuck in the tube and the fresh wee were much lighter now that she had arrived. Humph!

Two hours later, as I hope you can see in this photo, I’m glad Carer Sham saw it to prove I was not crying wolf. Sham told me the urine in the day bag was equal to a seven on the NHS chart. The tube was again blocked with brown urine, and the flow-back sensation in the bladder was uncomfortable; I put that mildly, mind you.

The drizzle drop stopped, and I got the Kodak to take this shot from the kitchenette window.
Then Carer Christopher came. His first shift back at work. Medications were given, and we had a quick chinwag-waffling session. Then, off Chris trotted.

Two sunset photos were taken as I went to check that I’d not left the oven on high and the hot water tap running, too. Tsk! Nitwit! I assembled the needs to cook the beef in gravy and make oven-cube roast potatoes. I’d accrued a bit of enthusiasm for this meal-making
Everything is in place; I got the oven warming up for the potatoes. Carer Chris arrived.
His last call of the day.
I told him of my losing the thousands of photos from the computer. And that I was struggling to get some more taken to replace them.
Chris took some snaps of me on the computer without me realising while he was making up the medications. I found them on the camera after he’d gone. Bless him. Here’s one of them. I must have been in mid-moan status as I appeared to be grumbling over something on the computer screen. Another cock-up?

The cook-in-the-bag beef and gravy that looked so fatty would be cooked in the microwave oven. It takes five minutes, but I found the nouse to use the necklace timer as I put the potatoes in the preheated oven. I knew that they would take around 40 minutes, so I set the timer on my neck for 30 minutes, and then I got the meat in the microwave.
The chunks of fat in the bag merged with the gravy, and it tasted okay to yours truly!

The effects of yesterday’s tumble and loss of blood were felt today. After spending so long on the Ode, I got the blog up to here, which is more than it’s ever taken me before. A much-belated headache and I seem to have awoken the recently calm and unbothering me, Dizzy Dennis, who is unhappy with me. So from here on, things might get minimal, basic and mistake-ridden. I could be wrong, of course.
I’ll take another Codeine and press on.

Quickly done, it’s so late already, sorry.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

At first, I was worried about the urine being so dark, but I realised it must have been the kerfuffle when I fell in the wet room yesterday, so I’ll not fret yet.

The NCC electrician called. She was a friendly gal who quickly replaced the socket. In appreciation for her help, I was given a nibble and drink. I’ll have to get a new lampshade.

The plaster on a mammoth, massive 2mm wound on my head was showing a little blood, but not a lot, as Paul Daniels used to say. Hehe! The Carer took these photographs using Kodak Tim. The redeye looked to be well-receeded. Did I spell that right? Changed it.
Took a snap of the lovely streaky clouds on view.
Then, the headaches began. They’ve stayed with me a;; day so far. (20:60hrs)

I gave the new cheapo camera to Carer Chris. It is no good keeping it. The handle allows two fingers to go through it. The battery cover is loose and very delicate. I shall continue with Kodak Tim despite the occasional blotches that appear in the pictures. And the USB connector it very stiff to get in and out of the camera. And there is no lens cover on it, with fiddly tiny buttons. I think maybe I bought a child camera. Still, that suits Chris. His missus can have it. He likes it too! Good for him.

Got the bags sorted out.
I ordered some plasters from Asda. They are so much cheaper than the Amazon ones I looked at. But I did see they had some Brut splash all over and deodorants at a fair price. I ordered some. It should be coming tomorrow. In time I hope for when the Carer takes off the plaster from my head. Just in case it bleeds again, the Brut might sting a bit, but it’s usually a good shaving cut bleed stopper.

I pressed on with the Ode, not even started on the blog yet.
I thought this Kodak Tim shot of the houses opposite the flats came out nicely. Smug Mode!
Note that the smudge or blotch is back on the screen and photos again. A smidge disappointing cause I thought that these two photographs came out okay; otherwise.
Carer Joanne called. Glad she is feeling a bit better – unless she is fibbing. Hahaha!
Carer Chris took the Laundry down for me and returned it later. The socks came back wet again; all six sleeves in the dressing gowns were inside out. So, everything is normal there. Haha!

I’m not feeling up to much now; it gets worse as I get tired.
It’d help if this bloody headache eased off. I took my limit of painkillers. Yet I’m so glad to say that the lower regions are not tpo painful at all from the catheter tube. I can’t last, of course!
I don’t feel hungry enough to bother making a meal. I’ll have some seaweed crisps and tomato sarnies… well, I might.

I’ve had a go at the WP reader.
Amazing photos from New Mexico, Paul’s poetry that captures the mind, and Andy, the cat we all love, from Doug.

Wonderful Cloud Formations.

What do these bring to the mind of a Pareidolianist like Inchy. ?
Is it a whale?
Is it a bird?
Is it a lizard?

Is it a shark?
I can see every one of them at the same time.

This headache is still with me, with a sort of throbbing, if that’s the right word. Carer Victor called, and he got the socks off. The  Medications were given, and the nocturnal catheter pouch was attached to the day bag.
I hope this head pain-throe stops soon. It’s not like me to have headaches… well, it wasn’t until I had butted the sink or tap.
I didn’t appreciate how bothersome the belated headache could be until today. Now, where’s the Codeines?

06:15hrs: The old codger awoke. He found himself appreciating that he’d woken up overnight for only about six times. Much better than the previous two nights. Three by his , and the same by . He had a rumbling grumbling in his stomach.
He then emptied his nocturnal catheter pouch. Not pleased with the amount of blood that seemed to be in his passed urine. He… well, I (Slipped into the second person mode there, sorry), I grabbed hold of  and off to the wet room. WC duties first, and what a session this one was! The evacuated missile clunked into the WC bowl; it was wedged with about a quarter of it out of the water, and covered with the after-flow of a small dollop of high-quality stinky splashes from ‘s follow-up flow.

Ablutions and medicalisationing tasks were carried out. But, not without the odd . Here they are… Maybe not in order as they happened, but at least I can remember them: Cut my neck shaving, only a tiny one, no bother. Teeth and gums bleeding. All but went over getting the PPs on; I hate that balancing job.  The urine flowing into the pouch looked a bit bloodied. And needed cleaning up again and ointmentating.
But, I got it all done in under two hours. And then as a parting shot as I left the wet room, I shoulder charged against the door frame, and set off . Went back in and got some Phorpain gel on the shoulder where I could reach to rub it in. Oh, and I trapped my finger in the cupboard door. People won’t believe my good luck… or lack of it!

Carer Marie called. In a rush, but we managed a mini-natter. Then I spent hours making errors as I tried to get the blog started.
Carer Kara called next. She was in a rush, too. However, she did sort out the problem I had with the TV yesterday. Did it in two minutes. (I did feel a fool not being able to get it done myself) Bless her. She shot off, and I was lonely again, just like when Marie departed. Sad, innit? Hahaha!
I got a snack made up to satisfy my sudden hunger.  Some Microwave chips, Eurgh! Milk Roll bread, and soy franks. Nice!
Taste Rating: 5.2/10.
Washed the things, and spotted some unusual activity of Devon close. On, Cavendish Close. So,  I got from the kitchen and concentrated on getting clear photographs of whatever it was that was going on.
But it was only some resurfacing of the road.
I really must get to the opticians to get the eyes tested again… but then… if I do it will cost hundreds of quid, and the the Glaucoma operation is due shortly. Of course, I was talking in the NHS 1960’s mode there – what I meant was, (back to 2024); The Glaucoma operation may be due within three or four years, if I live long enough!

A kitchen window photo to the right was taken first.
No idea what it was, but I loved this one. Nothing special on shoe, but I found it appealling.
Then I took one of the lowering sun to the left of the window.
At this stage, the night Carer called. It was nibble-nibbling Carer Christopher. We had a chinwag, but he wasn’t listening. Nothing new there. He took the laundry bag with him, it wasn’t full though. Laughs, and lads insults were swapped. Hehehe!
.I almost got caught out when the catheter day pouch suddenly filled so quickly again – all okay though, nae bother. It was emptying slowly for some reason unknown to me.
When to get second and last brew of tea, .
And the beautiful sight of the sun setting caught my eye. I had no other choice than to go back to the computer to get the camera, and return to take these shots of the views offered me by Mother Nature. Gorgeous, even if not as good as they might have been.
Ten minutes later, I caught the sun just as it was about to disappear over the horizon, and out of view. Lovely!
Finally got the blog finished and posted off to WordPress.

I watched the TV at the same time as starting this blog going. But it ended up not being. I found so many mistakes on the blog I’d posted earlier, that it took me an hour to correct them all. Even then, I probably missed a few.

The baby baguettes at the side of the tray of potato hot-pot, shows up just how measily the mini-sized Parsley Box meal was.

03:00hrs: Burst into semi-imitation life.
Nocturnal urine is a better colour.

Eurgh!

Itchy ankles and legs. Multi-coloured?

Used the new razors… well, I say new; I bought them years ago and lost them. But the Social Lady and District Nurse found them when cramming the stuff in the spare room when making space for the bed. Haha!
Not a single cut! .

Well, had to go again…

Haemorrhoid swabs were medicated in the sink.

Kitchen first, first one not so good…
Ah, much betterer!

I decided to house up the spuds before the get more growth on them. Last of the Leicester Red Cheese, and later on, to make cheesy baked potatoes. Well, I do love them. They’ll be the last for a while.

The sun tried suddenly to get through the gaps in the clouds, beautiful!
Not sure why I took another shot?

A later snap.

Sunsetting.
Closer shot…

Ah, I missed the stand… Tsk!

Up to date, the failures of the Oligarchs are only…
Another improvement?

A lot of time was spent preparing the cheesy potatoes. But no Accifauxpas this time… well, KI did drop a jar of seasoning, but it missed my toes and didn’t break, so I thought it was worth mentioning… although I have mentioned it now… What day is it?

The Cheesy Potato Feast!
I’d just sat down to eat it, and Carer Atere arrived a little earlier than usual. This took the edge off of my enjoying the meal, but having a chin-wag made up for it.
My ankle, leg straps and diabetic socks were removed after giving me the medications. Nice, lad.

Sleep came easily enough, but the bugger didn’t last long. made sure of that!

Blog… during the first hour, Virgin went down 5 times… On the 6th now, and to date it’s been down for well over three hours!

Think I got the legs mixed up here?

Richard put on the new boots, but without the ankle straps, as I thought the nurse just said leg straps to go on again. Coming back through the door, the ankle gave way… luckily I hit the wall that was only 2 feet distant from my elephantine body.

Kara called to get me to sign that she’d ordered the TV for me. Said she’ll call Easy Link again for me regarding a lift to and from the Dementia appointment. ♥

Virgin went down. For over two more hours! Kara checked on her mobile with Virgin, to see if any problems were in the postcode area, same as yesterday ‘None’? Oligarch Liars!

J Sainsbury Order arrived.
The red-label tea bags are nice and strong.
Tomatoes, thank heavens, were from the Netherlands, not Italy… PHEW!

Trying some different PPs this month. In hopes that they do not hinder poor little Inchy’s bladder tube. Some baking spuds. Kitchen Towels and jellies in place of cheesecakes to cut down on the calories. Treated myself to some parmentier potatoes.
Surprisingly there was still room in the fridge?

Waste bags sorted.

Brightened up a bit.
So took these shots of the housing.

Nurse Hristina arrived from the Anticoagulation DVT Warfarin Clinic to take a sample of blood. ♥

Looking a little bleak at teatime?

I think I may have missed some.

Belated evening meal.
I ate all of the mixed mushrooms left in the jar, a soya pie with gravy, and the last of the chips. Had these with two thawed out wholemeal cobs.

Washed the pots, and sneezed as I mounted the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, and I had a little nosebleed.
So, I rose back up on my feet and paddled into the wet room. To find that as well as the nose bleeding, , , which was also in need of cleaning and the dried blood sorted.
I’d better make sure I do not scratch at the leg papules if they start inching after the leg strapping is removed.

arrived to wake me up, and took the straps off. And yes, they itched like mad! Hehehe!

Sweet Morpheus was, for once, welcoming!

Inchy: Sunday 3rd December 2023

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
One fault, but twice!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The snow had fallen overnight. It was so cold in the kitchen, and my having developed a cough & cold was bad enough. But the heater in the kitchen was still not working! When I put the computer on later, it said it was -2°c (28°f) in Nottingham. So it must have been lower than that when I got up.
It’s these visits, as much as things that constantly go wrong, which are doing my head in. Shaking them off is getting harder than ever, and they stay for longer and have been more frequent over the last two days. I must force myself to ask for help with these things. It’s stifling my sense of humour, confidence and hope. Someone who might read this can help me. But then again…

Makes things seem worse. I’m sure that I’ve got arithmaphobia and am not getting help with the banking problems that I can’t cope with. Also, I know one shouldn’t, but I listed my significant mental and physical difficulties on the web, and now I think that I just may have Huntington’s disease. *The first symptoms of Huntington’s disease often include difficulty concentrating. Memory lapses. depression – including low mood, a lack of interest in things, and feelings of hopelessness. Stumbling and clumsiness. Well, that’s me to a tee! And relatives suffered with it in years gone by.
Still, what do I know? Now, I just want to free myself mentally, and then the physical side can be looked at. As if I’m going live long enough for that, Huh! The catheter has been in for about a year, the urine stinks to hell, and nothing is being done other than three tests where they removed the entire; let me try to wee manually overnight. They returned and did a scan to find the bladder was still over ⅓-full. Put the damned painful tube back in and carried on… what a Carry-On! Haha! Arthur Itis, the Cartilages, Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Hard of hearing Harold, Dizzy Dennis, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, Lymphorrhea Leslies Leaking legs, Shuddering Shoulder Shirley, the problem with my vision… I’m sick of these things going through my mind & brain whenever kicks-off, and the cursed ever-increasing spells fall on me.

I’m not sure if I feel any better for getting that off my chest or not, which, incidentally, along with my chest, face and legs, have Acne and Eczema. It’s ruining my handsome, spotless features, you know. Just noticed this, I’ve got rid of the red-eye, and now I’m getting a red chin? Haha!

Moving on…

I woke around 05:00hrs> I checked on the colour of the Catheter nocturnal pouch and was pleased to see it was much lighter this morning. Escaped from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, itch-inspiring, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, not working recliner, and hobbled to the Porcelain Throne, with a degree of anxiety that I may not get there in time! I barely made it. But did make a right mess to clean up after the evacuation finished.
Phwor! Worra mess!
I went into the kitchen, put the light on, and two remarkable things hit me! The most critical and confusing thing was that the kitchen heater was working! The other was the snow-covered views of Sherwood available to me for photographicalisationing. I fetched and made a start. Sadly, the first one and the few that followed were not too good due to the darkness and my inability to take a better picture, as much as I repeatedly tried.
But you can see the settled snow in amongst some of them.

Caught the lights on Mansfield Road in this one on the right and left.

I leant out the window, to take this one of the Winwood Court’s front car park.
There’ll be some car owners waking up with their cars in need of snow removal and maybe de-icing as well, and besides. Poor things.
I tried to capture a decent picture of Cavendish Drive with all the street lights on.
That’s the one I suspect has two drug-growing houses on it. The snow always melts first on their roofs. Hehe! I’ll check later, light, Peripheral Pete, weather permitting… and if I remember to.
Back to the wet room. Same procedure as the first visit. Smelly! Messy!
By the time I returned to the kitchen, the light had increased, and I had another go at getting just one reasonable photo taken. I gave up.

I made a brew of Thomson’s Punjana tea and got on the computer. Initially, it worked and connected the first time. I foolishly thought that maybe, perhaps  had improved their utterly abysmal record of failure to get a signal situation.
Within the hour, Oligarchs from Sad had struck six times. Everyone ruined what I’d done! Gits!
A blue hue, to the view now for you. Drops of rain were falling now and then.

The carer arrived at 0945hrs.
I found a Sister Jane email had been sent this morning. She had received a call from Meridian, telling her to let me know that the carer would be late or not come this morning. It’s unsurprising, with the weather out there and us living up a steep hill.
I assume that the Iceland delivery will not get here as well. The roads are atrocious. Carers must have been unable to get to work. No problem with my Iceland order not arriving; I’ve plenty of canned food and frozen.
I’ll not starve… or freeze now that the kitchen heater has miraculously unexpectedly started working again.

I took two photos of the weather view through the balcony doors from the computer chair.
I felt sure I’d caught a seagull in the second effort.
But I’ll be blown if I can see it now? Humph!

Off I went to the small room again.
Not a lot was passed, but by Jimminee,  it was so foul smelling that I used the fresh air spray in the wet room before leaving in a hurry. Hahaha!

I am still coughing regularly today, and a sore throat seems to be developing.

Back into the kitchenette, the warmed kitchen, thanks to the heater now working, took two pictures. The blue hue had gone, and a fog was beginning to come down now. The cars on Chestnut Way were now losing some of the snow from the side of the vehicles, so it may be warming up a smidgeon?

The mist and possible fog seem to be getting thicker, and the temperature is lowering, according to the MS computer, for Nottingham, than it was at 06:00hrs this morning.

Good Heavens!
is filling up more quickly again.
The day pouch slipped right down the leg with the weight.
Considering how tight I had the leg straps attached, this surprised me.
Then again, maybe not. I’m definitely in a lighter mood than I was earlier. Naturally, this can change at any time… at the first cock-up I make, signs of bad news bring back memories of my ailments and/or the list of jobs undone yet. Oh, and if should take a tumble. But I’m enjoying it while I can.

Well, the food is not coming. As anticipated. I just got a message from Iceland. I’ve got to book another delivery. But the weather is not good, so it may happen again. It’s not their fault; I’ll try to cancel it.

Getting on now, better get the can of beans opened and the leftover, just out-of-date bacon in the oven.
I seasoned the beans with my favourite Stubb brand Hickory liquid smoke, & it was Grrreat!
Tate-Rating: 805/10. Really enjoyed it, too. Washed the pots and got settled in the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop, put the TV on, and swiftly fell asleep for half-an-hour. Care Richard woke me up on his last call. Fitted the nocturnal night pouch to the catheter and issued the painkillers to me… that’s all I can recall.
Apart from not being able to get back to sleep again, thanks to persistent  raving away at my past demeanours and mocking my being in my current pathetic mental state. Making everything sound my fault, I believed him, and guilt crept into things.

TTFN, each!

Short again. Depressed, and not feeling well.

A little dark, but less than of late.

Fantastically detailed shot of the morning fog.

Tried again later.

So cold when I opened the window to take the photos. The heater is still not working… weekend again! Made a brew of Glengettie to warm up.

Ah, black turning to blue?

Later on, grey fog.

Only three trips today. All the same in nature.

Daily total for internet failures Much better…

The fog was still thick four hours later.

Second and last allowed mug of tea. Sob!

Aha, I can see shapes!

The day bag often filled up quick today.

Late afternoon, I see houses. Hehe!

Medicationings done.

, the sunshine got through the clouds and fog for the first time today…
Then sank out of view within minutes.

.

.
Did you get them all? I did…

Still feeling a smidgen dizzy and out of balance for some reason or other. And the periods of Dark, and dank  s, were horrible.

Inchy: Friday 1st December 2023 EENT Hospital

Well behind after the hospital visit. This’ll have to be cut short. I took a few piccies. memory & confusion difficulties.

The urine is still too dark.

The moving moon. Or was it me moving?

Mug of Glengettie. My having to go out with trousers on, I did not drink anything else, in case the bladder did the dirty on me like on the last visit, and suddenly filled up, and the pouch dropped down my leg and I had a messy job of getting to the WC while holding onto the pouch, and walker, struggled to get into a cubicle, to empty the little monkey of a bladder bag!

Through the balcony window. It was -3c.

Carer, then a second visit to the

In an hour! Gave-Up!

Got it done in time, then sorted out the needs for the visit to the QMC. Got down to the foyer in plenty of time, and utilised the crossword book, while waiting for the Easy Link lift to arrive. Which came a little late. But with the state of the icy roads, I expected it.
Set off, with the nice driverless avoiding the speed bump route, after I mentioned the bleeding haemorrhoids from last week’s lift. Bless her!
Winchester Street icy- Hill.

Don’t remember taking this one at all? I was also confused as to how I’d got a different shape of photos from ?

EENT arriving, area freed of ice, Security Guards.

The driver dropped me off; she had to dash off for her next customer, so as I was walking in through the front doors of the EENT…
“There was movement in my trousers!”
Yes, the filled and fell down my leg. Once again, I had a messy job of getting to the WC, while holding onto the pouch, and walker, struggling to get into a cubicle, to empty the little monkey of a bladder bag! A chap helped me to get into the cubicle. Thanking him!
Got lost finding the treatment room, but someone was at hand to tell me it was at the end of the pointed out corridor, left through the double doors, and that’s it. I thanked them. They sent me to another corridor, but I found that one easily enough.
Took a seat after showing the lady the paper work.
A young lady collected me and we went into the sized for eye-testing room. A bath on several different machines, and although I did have trouble holding my head steady enough, and she had to do some of the procedures from scratch again when I apologised and mentioned Peripheral Neuropathy Pete being to blame, she was very understanding. Her Sister-in-Law suffers the same, so she was in the know of my problems. ♥
I’ve to arrange another eye test ASAP, as after the chart test, she said my vision urgently needs correcting.
Thanked her and departed…
Funny innit, how easy it is to get lost in a maze of corridors going in the opposite direction, that you went through two hours earlier? Hehehe!

I stayed in the snug NHS lift area, as the gal would not be back for a while, and I anticipate she will be late again with the weather she’s coping with. It was a lot warmer in that place to wait.

Took this snap as I fought off falling asleep.
I had to move to the front of the building to await the bus as the time was approaching. I sat in the outer lobby, where some chairs were available… But could not stand it for long. So cold, and the two sets of automatic doors forever opening and closing made it worse.
So I went inside and I leaned against a corner, leaning near a wall panel heater on the wall.

Half an hour later, the mini-bus arrived. The gal rushed toward me and said; “Sorry, got to go the loo!”
She disappeared from view…
Returning ten minutes later, saying Phew!

I took this snap as I settled in the minibus.
We were soon back at the flats. I insisted she have a choice of nibbles and drinks form the trolley, as she’d done a grand appreciated job for me today. ♥

Going into the foyer, I met three tenants that I’d not seen for ages. Gaynor keeps looking younger each time I see her. Lovely lady. Enjoyed a chin-wag with them.
Up to the flat.
Despite my not having drunk anything for several hours, the day pouch was already half-full after the emergency emptying at the hospital?
Not a good colour either, not for the daytime.

Made a start on this blog layout. I spent about three hours on this, CorelDraw was playing up again, and during the struggle…
went down six times

Gave up. I’ll have to get it done in the morrow.

The day pouch was soon filling up after I’d started to drink the water again. But still, a reddish colour that flowed into the pouch!

The Carer arrived, a helpful lad, Didn’t catch his name. Victor, I think. He tightened up the pouch strappings for me. Medications were given.
I think it was Victor, but could have been anyone with my lack of short-term memory, who sent me this photo of Sherwood. Yesterday or today’s scene?

I was well weary after the day’s gadabouts. Again, I didn’t feel up to bother with making a proper meal.
So, a burger cob and chips it was.
BBQ sauce and bread, and a pot of jelly.
Taste-Rating: 7.2/10. (I was hungry!)

The Lace holes.
Did you get it?
Well, done!

Fare thee all Well!

Oh, dearie, me, night bag?

affected.
.

The first-day pouch emptying.
What the heck is that in the bowl?

It’s still icy out there…

The bottom field is, too!

Far end protected by the poor trees?

The pigeons were only on one rooftop?
It must be a feeder living there.

Took a tumble. Nae bother.

Nightfall.

I only got one of them. Tsk!

Bad day for the internet…

To Date!

Late Carer, from another sight. Fear, or Fuhrer, I think his name was. Lovely lad, Sorted me, no strapping needed. I tried some new hearing aid batteries. Not much of an improvement, though.

I got some chips in the oven and garden peas in the saucepan. I will do a burger of sorts to go with them a little later on.

Back later, I hope.

I’m Back!

Super-Meal! Taste: 9.3/10!

Not looking forward to the struggle to get to the hospital this Friday morning. Cheers!
