Dejected Inchy: Saturday 31st August 2024 I think my depression is getting depressed!

I’d like, just once again, to see the sea,
After the heart op, when things were dodgy…
I went with Brother-in-law, Petey,
Years later, with a resident’s party…
We got there, and they all abandoned me,

Well, they had their family with them, you see,
Walked for 6-hours, feeling a midge lonely,
I’d sooner have a mental & physical amnesty,
But that’s impossible, as you see,
Early this morning, l meandered amiably,
Shelled the peas, losing about twenty!
But I did recover two or three,
Then things sank, suddenly miserably,
Depression uncloaked, unavoidably,
Off went my limited mental agility,
Back came my situational acceptancy,
Started this ode hoping & believingly,
To fight off the depression, incredulously,
I coped with Peripheral Neuropathy…
Cartilage and Catheter pains, agony,

Earache Erasmus & Toothache Tiffany,
Sandra’s Seizures, Diabetic Polyneuropathy.
Dracula Depressions got the better of me!

Life is just a Whigmaleerie!

I stirred into an unwanted imitation existence around 05:00 hrs. It was not the usual bursting awake this time. It was more of a gradual, reluctant acceptance of whatever the day ahead held for me, but not with any hopes or expectancy for anything I would really like or want. That was a bad start, emotionally.

The nocturnal and the day bag pouch it attached to were almost empty. Jiggling the large night bag and spinning it around before throwing it away from me onto the carpet did the trick. A deluge of wee-wee came through from the bladder, through the day and into the night bag. But there was not a lot of it. With flowing so quickly, I thought it would be much fuller. I also thought I could sense some flow-back. But of course, what do I know.

I pottered about, unhurriedly getting out of bed and in a semi-upright position. Off to the kitchen to check that the taps and cooker had not been left on
Then, I took this snap of the morning view without my usual enthusiasm. I think my EQ was trying to tell me something. I was not in a depressed state, just a little low, perhaps.
Had lost his total control. Yet the pain was still there throughout the evacuational activity. Also, it was a mess to clean up on me
and the porcelain bowl. This took me some time. I was not bothered; my interest in anything was slowly evaporating. I just wasn’t concerned, and that’s not me. I thought I was moving onto a new level, degree or platform in life, the next stage.
Moments after this, I was doing the ablutions, having a stand-up wash and shave… and singing away to myself? Frank Ifields, ‘She Taught Me to Yodel’
I put my feet in a bowl of water with some Dettol and stood in it while I brushed my teeth and shaved. Only one was unseen; it was cut in the neck hole at the back. I dropped the shaving foam, which landed in the bowl and hit the ingrowing toenail on my right foot. I laughed it off, honestly!
I freshened up the wet room before leaving.

I removed the reserve camera, with which I took most of today’s shots, from the new extension thingamabob in the hallway. It worked a treat. Also, I could use the clothes airer at the same time now to dry my towels. I felt around the plastic to see if anything had heated up overnight, but they all seemed cool.

There was an almost cheery period, then for an hour or so, during which I reverted to worrying about things but ignored any signs of depression. I think it was lurking, ready for a comeback, but I would not let it do so then! I got a large waste bag made up from the other three bins and popped it near the front door.

Carer Precious arrived. I showed him the scars from Cathy Catheters’ Contraption, with the small bag and extra-large hose that meant the release valve now hangs down to my right foot! Humph! I asked him if he would take a photo of the affected area of the catheter. He took an unintended photo of his own foot first. Hehehe!
I’m growing two eyes, a nose and a mouth on my catheter-injured leg.
Pareidoliaing, again. Haha!

I took a terrible photo halfway through shelling the last of the gorgeous fresh garden peas. I managed to drop no end, but I got three escapees back.
Gulp-Swallow!

I put the peas into a basin ready to cook later. While I was doing these, there were no signs of Dark Dank Depression Duncan.

I forgot to ask Carer Precious to take the waste bag with him. I added a small one with some clothes no longer needed, I can’t get into them nowadays, to the other near the front door. Well, I’ve not got a back door in the flat. Har-har!

did the midday call. No meds were needed.

I did some work on this blog, and I feel better now. (Why do I say things like that? (It’s tempting fate!) After a laugh and someone to talk to.

Dizzy Dennis attacked as I got down to empty the tiny, so long, low-day pouch. Down I went. As tumbles go, it was not too bad a one. But foolish me, though, even after banging the knees and upsetting Arthur Itis and Cartilage Carole, that I could get up again easily enough. HUH!
Oh, no, not me. I saw the accumulated mess underneath the c1962 counter. I thought it would be a good idea while I was down there on the floor to clear some out. So, I grabbed the bigger picker-upperer. I started to try to remove some of the detritus hidden from normal view.  What a Mistaker to Maker!
As I stretched underneath, my already bruised right knee was scratched and bruised by an old tablet bottle that shattered with the weight of my leg. I’m not surprised by the size of the leg that was blown up in this photo. The patella has merged with the surrounding flash and can hardly be identified. Haha! So, after trying a few times, you can see why I could not get back up after all!
I pressed the wristlet alarm to ask for help getting on my feet. However, it took a while to get an answer, and by then, I was just in the last stage of getting over the pure agony of getting on my feet.
The legs and feet continued to be painful for ages, but nothing compared to testing the knees in getting up. The size of the right leg was astronomical! That would be either Peripheral Neuropathy or Diabetic Neuropathy. Either way, it still hurts.
Sympathy Seeking Again!

After getting a brew of Gleangettie, I wondered why old people often think a mug of tea is going to help. But it might have anyway. Twenty minutes later, the swelling of the leg stopped, and I could almost hear gurgling as it went down as quick as it went up. That reminds me of a Grizelda quote. It got better. Thirty minutes later, the leg had blown up again!

I went to put the meat in the oven, make another mug of tea, and take this snap of the front car park. called, and I grabbed the nearest thing to keep my balance. Unfortunately, it was the near-boiling kettle! So, in a flash, I used my right hand on the hot oven door. This week, a selection of finger, knuckle and hand burns has been collated and collected.
I’m unsure which kneecap hurts most; it’s a close call. Oh, yes! Advantage Left Knee. Putting up with the crippling mini-bagged Catheter, the thick extra-long tube, and the flesh-cutting straps.
A mention in despatches for Little Inchie.

Time to check on the meal’s progress.
The meal was a fine one. Photographed conscientiously, twice, to get a better one than the first. Eaten with great relish. creating such a satisfying feast cannot be imagined,
When it came time to put the photo on the SD card, there wasn’t one in the camera; I’d left it on the computer.

It’s not been a particularly good day at all.

Carer Ahyu arrived, medications were given, and I showed him my injured legs and knee.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
It was back on the computer after making another brew of Gengettie to go cold. The first severe bout of occurred.
It lasted about half an hour.
Not much blogging got done.

I’m going to get to bed now. Well, when Carer Ayhu has been.
I may have another nibble… oh, have I had a meal? Blow it, I have a snack. I got the oven on to warm up and make some chips. The Carer arrived, and I went into a mini-seizure as he came. Ayou, I think it was. No idea what took place.

Then, within seconds of his leaving, I banged my already battered knee against the cooker door. There’s a sub-storyline to this. I’d visited the kitchen to check on the oven’s heat and realised I had not even turned the oven on! In my bout of self-disgust, the door dropped and hit the poor knee from the fall. But it did knock of the scab, so that was good.

If I ever find that scab is open to discussion. It’ll be somewhere, probably snuggling up to the by now, dried solid dropped peas over the last few days… Hehe! Oh, and maybe one may have bounced into the disappeared bottle cap?  I turned on the oven to the maximum to heat it up quickly. I returned to the computer, intending to save all the work on CorelDraw, MS Word, Excel and WordPress and turn it off.

It’s not been a particularly good day at all.

I heard a clattering noise from, I assumed, the kitchenette. Hobbled back hastily, in a Sherlock Holmesian mode, to investigate. Oh, dearie,
the stack of washing from the main meal had fallen from the draining board rack onto and all over the floor! All the bending to retrieve them was too painful, so I fetched the long picker-upperer to use.
At last, I came across the missing bottle cap and two more dried-like ball bearings peas.
Then I rewashed the fallen basin, plate, and cutlery.

It’s been a long, trying day.

The chips were undercooked, and the beetroot was harder than the ball-bearing peas on the kitchen floor. The eggs and yoghourt were okay.
Once again, I washed up. I’m fed up with this, Hehe! It’s a little harder now that the carer has attached the nocturnal catheter bag. One tends to carry the night bag on its elongated tube and put it down when two hands are needed, as when washing and drying the pots. Then you walk to do something else, forgetting the 5-foot tubing and bag of your urine that you are dragging along the floor behind you.
Inevitably:
The bag catches against something, and you carry on hobbling… until the pain from poor Little gets sent to your brain. You feel
.
You usually curse a little as you get some kitchen towelling to stem the flow of the red stuff. Then, make your way as hastily as possible to the wet room before the Protection Pants overflow. This is what I did! But things were worse this time.

The bleed was a smidge stronger than expected. So, after cleaning up my lower regions, I checked that the tube had not come out or worked loose of Little Inchy. It’s all okay!
Then you see that some blood had run all down your leg and partly covered the daddy urine bag, which by now was resting on top of your left foot! I used a whole kitchen roll and the picker-upperer to clean things. I was too tired to even think of using the shower, and it was far too early in the morning to disturb the other residents with the noise of the shower. I cleaned up as best I could under the circumstances.
Having to bend down so often scared me a bit after what happened with Dizzy Dennis earlier with the tumble.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I managed 4hrs kip on the trot. But by then, it was time to get up
Which I, Oh, so reluctantly did.

It’s not been a particularly good day at all.

Annovera bad day, mood-wise.

0:45hrs: Pretty yellow wee-wee. Not much, mind you.

Morning views.
From the kitchen.

I got some clothes that no longer fit me and made two more bags. I don’t know how I can get them to the charity shop. I’m not putting the old stuff in it; they went in the waste bags.
I got the computer booted and made a brew of Glengettie. The following two did as well.

This tiny catheter pouch is more than a nuisance. It has to be emptied to soften, and the cup-of-water-sized bag makes it painful. I get dizzy when I have to bend down to reach the release valve, which still rests on my left foot. The mega-thick tube they put on is far too long.
Hey-Ho!

I finished and sent off yesterday’s blog. Then, they started a new word list for the ode and got carried away. I don’t know why the pouch didn’t burst.

The Morrison order arrived.

I think my feeling as depressed as I am may be worse than the frustration of not being able to pull out of it?

I’d treated myself to luxury foodstuffs: a big pot of Lemon Curd and four tiny pots of Lemon and lime yoghourt.
Orange and yellow tomatoes and some giant red spring onions. Nice!
But the best bit of it all was being told they had no fresh garden peas available. Knowing the season was ending, but, they sent three 500gr  bags for me!
So, everything else was backlighted.

I was tempted to put my torque on. Hehe!
As I scattered so many peas all over the kitchen, there must have been… well, I’d guestimate about twenty peas over the whole session, which pinged off in different directions during the shelling session. I only managed to retrieve three of them.
It’s a little like socks that disappear when put into the washer or spin dryer, never to be seen again.
It took a long time to complete them, and I kept popping some in my mouth as I went along. Haha!
Then, I put them in a mini saucepan to marinate with the demerara sugar and sea salt I’d added
.
I thought I’d watch the TV while continuing the blogging.
But I didn’t. It seems that some Whoopsiedangleplop had affected Virgin TV. Again!

I decided to get the ablutions tackled. And although something had to go wrong, it was chicken feed compared to my usual disasters.
The teeth-cleaning saw no blood leaks! The nasal clearing saw none either. Then the shaving was tackled… Believe it or not, but once again, no cuts – Zero! Had I not been already depressed so much, this would have cheered me up more.
The first obstacle that hindered (hurt) me so much was getting my diabetic socks off! Then offing the straps from the pathetic new catheter contraption. Painfully, I
finally got them off, and it had left me feeling a smidge dizzy from all the bending down.
But a man of my calibre, courage, determination, and grit, this was no trouble.
I had a slow, long shower, which was spoilt a tiny bit by having to use the handrails all the time while coping with the showerhead due to my unsteadiness. However, no stubbles, falls, or banging into anything were suffered! .

I realised I had not put the bath towel in the bag yesterday! I don’t like using one too often. But I lost one when someone nicked my laundry and bag a few weeks ago, and I keep forgetting (as is to be expected) to buy a new one. I recall thinking to myself, “I must order one today,” as I left the wet room to get dressed.
Even the medicating was almost pain-free! Amazing!
, who has not visited me for days now, took her opportunity at the optimum time to issue the maximum pain. As I was carrying the stick, towels, Alarm bracelet, and flannels to go in the laundry bag before I got dressed, she kicked off, and in the process, she shoulder-charged the bloody door frame!
Still, apart from this, I’d done well! As I emptied the pouch for the fifteenth time today, I saw how good the legs looked. Even the ankle ulcers seemed to be calmer. And incidentally, I’ve hardly had any of the expected lighting strikes from , either. Puzzling.

Took this snap of the clouds as I started getting the food prepared.
Closing WP and the computer now. Hunger has returned to torment me. Haha!

I was happy with the result of the food prepping. It was the battle in podding the peas. I do love them peas. It may have been a higher rating, but the potatoes weren’t cooked enough; everything else was a treat. Adding the slices of red spring onion to it did the trick and tanged it all up. After gorging myself, I fell asleep with the tray balancing on my super-floppy ginormous belly. Work later with it in the same position, and not spread all over me and the floor. The ablutions going so well, too. Is my luck changing for the better? What am I saying… Tsk!

Slept for a full 3 uninterrupted hours. 03:00hrs to 06:00.
The nocturnal catheter had not been put on. Silly I had forgotten to attach it! The day bag contents looked dark again. Later, Carer Ayu classed it as being a six on the NHS scale. Getting out of the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, was a lot easier than scrambling out of the hospital bed. But, more painful to fall back into when gave way as I stood up. The bed has a definite advantage to fall on; it’s so much higher!
Another long session was spent on the . The usual practices were carried out; a go at the crossword, but no answers were found this time. I counted 22 cracks in the ceiling.  started and kept up his long run of guilt accusing, and Ant-Inchy put-downs.
I gave up and had a wash, accompanied by escapades of smelly wind from the rear end! I put on a fresh gown, olive-oiled both of the earholes and took a Senna tablet in hopes of encouraging some movement from the rear end.
Next, I creamed and ointmentated various gargantuan-sized wobbly belly areas requiring the same treatments.
I hobbled off to the kitchen to decide whether to make a mug of Glengettie tea. Arriving at decisions has not been easy for me lately. The brain goes off at
a tandem. I consider the NHS two mugs-a-day ruling… is it too early? Will I want a third cup later tonight? Could I care less? I made one. And let it go cold after I’d started on the blog!
I wiped the mug and prepared it for the next brewing of tea later on. Then, I took this photo from the kitchen window. It doesn’t show well, but I saw some items on the bottom of the upward-trodden path. I zoomed in close to identify what they were
. I’m still not sure. Possibly, a bottle with red liquid in it. I have no idea what light-coloured things are. Should I have used the Macro when I zoomed in so far away or not? I didn’t. I’m confusing myself here! Snapped the sun coming up from behind in this shot (Right).
I was working on the ode of the day
when Carer Ayu arrived. He put the diabetic socks on my legs. Well, it’s better than putting them on my arms. Hehehe! Ayu administered the medications, and we shared a mini natter. I worked using CorelDraw and WordPress for a while. My concentration was a little better this morning, but it didn’t last!
I had a misleading idea that the rear-end wanted me to visit the .
As you can see, it was a hopeless effort
yet again. I wonder if there’s a chance of an explosion from within, with the ether being created in the building up of mass in the solid matter. Hahaha!
Darned uncomfortable feeling.
I did my best. When I started, I had one solution for the crossword, but I had a lot more when I gave up on the motion moving anytime now.
Will I implode instead?
I took even more of the anti medications. I’m unsure if it was safe to take any more, but I can’t read the minuscule printing of the inserted instructions leaflets.

I made another brew of my beloved Glengettie tea.
Nice and strong!
Pressed on with this blog. With staying up so late yesterday, I’d got some done ready.
I was on CorelDraw and was alternating with this WordPress blog, and got blowback pains from the catheter tube stuck in Little Inchie. Had a look and, to my utter amazement, found the pouch so full, hard and heavy; it had tugged at Little Inchie, causing some bleeding again.
When I emptied it into the measuring jug, it showed 840ml! In an hour. I wish the community nurses would allow me to try peeing manually again. I’d hate to think I could and had had the darned on all this time and didn’t need it. What am I thinking and saying? As if anything would go right for me!

Ah, genuine rumbling from my innards this time. I’m off to the Throne. And yet again, no evacuation!
Plenty of pain, though.

Five minutes after getting back to blogging, I was on my way back to the wet room. This time… Action Stations Alert! After a lot of effort, struggles, and phenomenal pain, at last, the blood-covered, almost cube-shaped lumps of concrete passed! Ahhh!

When Carer Precious arrived, I just had one Paracetamol because I’d just taken a few sprays of the toothache painkiller and didn’t want to mix the different types.

I made a start on tomorrow’s ode.

FOOD TIME!
MEAL OF THE WEEK TODAY
At the point of perfection!
Delicious Beef in black bean sauce. Onions, leeks, and peppers are yellow and green. Liquid smoke was added to the extra-strong gravy. Basil, sea salt, oregano, beetroot juice, black pepper and spirit vinegar!

Carer Richard arrived as I nodded off in the poorly-aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, after cleaning the pots up.
He looked a lot better than last week. But of course, we shared ailments that we both know will only worsen. He said he’d call again in the morning. Hope he has a calmer night shift.

What an evening view I took from the kitchen window.
The wind was getting up again out there. The gold and brown showed up wonderfully well.
I did a bit of pareidoliaing with this shot. I found a bird’s head and a whale and got pleasure from looking at nature’s beauty.

I returned to the computer to catch up a little with this blog.
But it didn’t last for long. Crumple-Grips! Mini Seizures took over. My concentration was destroyed. I’m not complaining, though, cause had been kind to me most of the day. Of course, now I’ve said that… Wait for it!

BONUS ODE
All the best to you and all in your abode,
I’ve just watched a ‘Heartbeat’ episode,

I may be selling my second-hand commode…
Then to the Porcelain Throne, I bestrode,

My teeth still ache; well, they’re getting owd,
Many broken, coming out, and yellowed!
New ailments weekly by the vanload,
Worries, fears, jealousies I can’t unload,
Always something to discommode,
I don’t see any of the twittering sparrows,
They used to fill the local hedgerows?
I hear voices, see faces in the shadows…
I can’t swim, but I paddle in the shallows,

Take photos of the sky through my windows.
Also, of the grass, trees and weeping willows…
This reminds me that I must get some new pillows!
I forget my telephone number & postcode,
Left taps running, the sink overflowed,
Can someone adopt me? Put me in ‘Happy-Mode’?
Doreen Dementia wants me to explode!
Stuck in this flat, alone, cocooned!
That’s enough, too-much, I have moaned.
Sorry about the aforementioned.
Pots to wash, I’ll get myself aproned!

Farewell – Hope you can find some fun!

Minutes after writing the above, my kicked-off is still with me now! Terrible, I don’t know what the Carers thought about me. I was so far out of it.
Not good.

It took me ages to encourage it.
It didn’t half hurt!

First view of the morning.

I enjoyed eating… no, podding the garden peas,

Oh, the moon is right high up in the sky. It must be earlier than I thought? I could see its surface, but the camera did not pick it up at all. Shame!

Computer on, first mug of tea.

I got tangled up in doing the ode and carried away making a new rhyming file. Four hours, Carer Shaquille, Domestic Marie and Financial Kimberly later, I’d still not got the blog started!
At the time, I was in reasonable shape. But soon, the seizures started—frequent but short blasts. I had no idea what I was doing. Can’t recall taking this sky-shot at all.

Carer Precious arrived. I’m not sure he understands my condition, but he was okay when he left.

At least it wasn’t a giant torpedo this time.

I spent a couple more hours on the blog. Slow progress with coming on form. The rick in the neck… Blooming Heck!

This is the second and last mug of tea of the day. Not much has been added to my reminder notepad. Tsk!

Oh, it’s getting dark already.
Good God, look at the time!

Better get summat to eat then. Back in the morning or maybe even later tonight… No, perhaps not.

Good Morning!
I ate all the gorgeous fresh peas that had not been nibbled raw earlier in the day, as well as tomatoes, instant mash, and a vegetable pastie. All went down well!

I took these above with Kodak Two and planned to see if some night shots could be taken later on while pot cleaning.
I sank down… well, plopped down into the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner, to watch a documentary on TV.
No chance! Zzz!

INCHY’S PARTING ODE Part One

Farewell to you from Inchy,
Although he can’t manually pee…
Glaucoma makes it hard for him to see,
He’s rarely seizure-free,
His demented mind goes astray,
Many times, it did today…
He exists absentmindedly,
Lonely, agitatedly, acquiescingly,
Hopes for the return of the almighty,

His fungal lesion bleeds nightly,
Constipation, the Trots, alternatingly,
He survives haphazardly,
Unmethodically, circumlocutory,
Mostly deaf, with amblyopy,
He had great ambidexterity…
But that’s just history…
He plods on  antiquatedly, an antiquary,
He’s losing his curiosity,
One day high, the next an abhorrently,
He needs to accept things acquiescingly,
But what do I know? I’m only me!

INCHY’S PARTING ODE Part Two

Please have a mug of coffee or tea,
Or gin, sherry, even a whisky,

If this makes you feel sleepy…
Slip into a sleep quickly…

Get rest, respite, recovery…
From the day’s longevity,
Start the next day refreshedly.
I hope you face that next day…
Joyfully and satisfactorily! ♥

CHEERS!

The teeth and earholes seemed to be competing to see who could hurt me most! Not all the time, there were breaks and the pain only lasted for 19hrs I was up and about. Then got worse when I settled into the bed! Arrgh! & Cragnangles!

Later, Carer Richard gave the urine colour a 7+ grade. I didn’t think it was that back. But, me having Protanopia, I’m can’t really tell.

I poddled into the kitchen and saw the dying-off rainbow.
In a rush to get a camera, I found the spare one first and used it. I didn’t want to risk the rainbow dissipating before I got back to take some pictures of it using the camera’s auto mode.

Not very distinct, but I thought it was beautiful. and it gave me the idea for today’s ode theme.
I soon felt grumblings from the innards and made my way to the wet room. I made a new tag for this one. The surprise of Constipation Conrad returning again after one day of Trotsky Terence regaining charge of matters was bad enough. But I tried five times over the day up to now (16:00hrs).
And I  still haven’t passed nowt from the rear end!
I took more photos of the view as the sun was coming around the blocks of flats. Still using the spare camera… until I can find where I left the new Kodak2. It’s a new camera, but obviously not a current model. It takes four AA batteries, and is short of many options that were on the one that Tim Price donated to me. No through-glass or in-rain options on it. But the bonus is, I had a similar camera twelve years ago, and can work things out easier on the new-old one. It has a macro option, which I hope to try today.
On with updating yesterday’s blog. Which was constantly concentration-affected periods every time that either,

or  kicked off. Believe me, they all constantly did. Later on, when I went to get a wash, I coughed and both the ear and the teeth stung painfully. The inside of my mouth seemed to have swollen. A bit of one of the front teeth broke off. When I used the facecloth anywhere near the face, the nose, cheeks, and throat hurt like hell each time I touched the area. I gave up, thinking the pain would ease off later. They didn’t!
I asked each Caregiver if they could call the Dentist for me, but I got a negative response. I think I must be moaning about things so much that they don’t hear or listen to me. Hahaha!

I hobbled my way into the kitchen, and the tiniest spots of rain I’d ever seen were falling. For some reason, a pt insects landed on the windows. I took the opportunity to try a Macro on the camera. (I found it hidden in full view near the Carers nibble pots.) I could not hold the camera steady enough to take a closer shot

Carer Joanne came in to return the nightshirts she had hand-washed for me. Bless her cotton socks. ♥ Gave her some treats in appreciation.

The very fine rain was falling again. I checked for signs of a mudslide in the end car park on Citrus Way. The rain had stopped again. Then, I heard the rumble of thunder. I went back out on the balcony and saw that many other tenants were out on their balconies to take a look. I think we all expected a downpour this time. But no, it was all dry again. We could do with a good downpour or more!

The sky brightened, and no signs of rain showed us any interest.

kicked off painfully, and I used up the last of the toothache spray.
Now I have to search around to see where I put the other bottle!
I found it in a kitchen drawer, and I walloped a Dollop into my mouth and olive-oiled the right earhole to ease who was joining in the
other ailments attacks. Humph!
I fear I may be using too much of the medications. But how can I get in touch with the dentist? Oh, I’d better get their telephone number ready. Got it!
The bank keeps sending me codes to pay LV insurance with? Kara paid them last week, along with an increase in the price of 50%! Grrr!

I’ll get summat to eat – that’s soft enough for the teeth.

Carer Precious arrived. I hoovered the carpet and went to make a meal. I’ll be back later, or maybe much later.

I made the softest meal I could manage. It was not too bad pain-wise either, although long after eating the mini-feast, kicked-off again. Making me suffer yet another ever-awakening night of misery.

I took this shot as I washed  the things from the meal. Carer Precious arrived. No socks to take off; no one had put them on for me.

Did you notice the deliberate grammar mistake?

was by far the worst ailment I had today. I have to find a dentist soon. Otherwise, I may find myself going stark-raving-mad.  come think of it, I think I’m at that stage now. What would be the next one up? Away with the fairies, barking mad, non-compos mentis, or nutty as a fruitcake, Hehe!
The meddlesome medley of like yesterday relented. However, I did have one hell of a mind-blank this evening that lasted for at least three hours. During this, Carer Joanne discovered that I’d cut up and seasoned some mushrooms earlier in the day and left the heat on under the pan when she did the taps and cooker checks for me. I genuinely thought she was joking at first. I went into the kitchen to her, and sure enough, I had. Why the hell I couldn’t remember doing it – and equally worrying, is how I did it without knowing and had no accidents, Accifauxpas or Whoopsiedangleplops doing it?
I also took some sky photographs as well.
But the mini-blanks, unless I didn’t realise, which must be possible, did not affect me much at all. On this long one, no blogging was done at all. What was I doing then? That’s a silly question. I was doing the mushrooms, but that wouldn’t have taken me three hours, surely. I found the sharp knife hours later, underneath the microwave cooker. I assume I’d used it to slice the mushroom with.
I used far too much of the pain-killer spray on the teeth today. was hardly any bother at all, up to now anyway. I’m going to ask a Carer to call the doctor on Monday. I’ll get to the surgery somehow or other. I rankling me now.
Getting yesterday’s blog done took me ages. This is surprising, really, because the toothache hadn’t been bothering me too much until today. Thanks to the pain-killer spray.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Cor, blimey. Must tell the doctor.

My first shot of the morning.

No mud, no rain.

Ablutions & Porcelain Throne time.
Urgh!

On and off of blogging.

These were found on the computer later.
Not only did I not recall doing the mushrooms that Joanne found, but I can’t remember taking these photos. But once I saw them, I remembered. Hehe!
To this one, after I’d sliced and seasoned the mushrooms.
Boy, did I season them!
Strong soya sauce, oregano, liquid smoke flavour, Polish Worcester sauce, sea salt, black pepper and some onion granules. I’m not sure, but I have a strange feeling, just might have added some mint? Just a feeling, like.

Afternoon view.

I wonder where the liquid in the car park came from?
No car washing, water shortage?

Beautiful clouds later on.

The big Blank arrived.

Two lovely sunset shots.
Smug-Mode Adopted.
But I was still bothered about the blanks.

Better put this result on while I remember.
I got eight of them in four hours. Haha!
Smug-Mode disengaged.

Waiting for Carer Precious to come.
I’ll go on WP reader and comments.

Caught the sunset for once.
I took these on the new Kodak.

Thanks to , the rating for the meal of the day was lower than it really deserved.

EPILOGUE
Carer Precious took off my socks. Checked the taps and stove, and was happier because he was on his way home.
Good for him. A nice lad.
I kept nodding off and waking up for hours.
It was a bad night, broken by , the odd strike, but most often it was who woke me up.
Terrible night!

04:00hrs: I woke reluctantly, stirred back into imitation, pretended life, passed wind, and got an electric shock up my leg from the ankle ulcer via, checked on the time, and swiftly fell back to sleep again. Nice move!
I removed the nocturnal pouch from the catheter contraption. In doing so, I tugged at the tube. I’d like to say I did not shout out in pain, causing the bleeding to pour out all over the PPs, down my leg and all over the new nightshirt.
But if I did, I’d be fibbing.
I went off to the wet room, convinced I was going to have an evacuation this time. Fair enough, there were no rumbling and grumblings, but I did feel movement from the innards. I was wrong, of course.
I did some hoovering—I need to do it every day. Bits of foil from the tablets and mystery bits of what look like giant tea leaves magically appear. Haha!
As I went to the kitchen, I took a shot of the morning view. Then, I spotted a red light on one of the streets. So I zoomed Kodak 2 into it and took this effort on the left. I cleaned and nearly almost tidied up the kitchenette, and the car with its lights on was still there. See the streets in Nottingham, my American friends? Talk about narrow. Pavement parking is the only option for anyone with two cars.

Thanks to Jenny’s tip in getting a baby monitor and Deana and Julie putting it together for me, I heard the intercom chime! Great! Thanks to all three of them again! It was the Asda delivery. Possibly the worst one ever. It’s not the driver’s fault, I think. He packed most of the goods from his trays into boxes and bags for me. Then I got the bags in the hallway and carried them one at a time into the kitchen and junk room.
There didn’t seem many items as I slowly got them put away into the various places as needed.
The fridge didn’t look anywhere near full?
I donned my Sherlock Holmes Cap and went on the internet to find out what was wrong with this order. I soon found out.
Look at the items that were not available on this list from their Email. Five items were unattainable last week, but they went a step further this week.
There were some things missing: 3 Asda thick bleach citrus 750ml, Ben Shaws shandy 1×6, and 4 Asda Bi-carb! I was pretty pissed off at being charged for these.
Then, a genuine rumble from the innards, I limped to the wet room. 30 minutes of crosswording, whistling and counting the cracks on the ceiling (24) again, and no signs of any movement. Plenty of wind, though. Talk about trapped wind, but it kept coming out almost two-tone musically at times. I gave up,
I eventually made a start on yesterday’s blog.

I remember using the new Kodak camera to take these shots of the clouds below.

But so many, a flood of Dizzy Spells and Seizures ravaged me. I’ve no idea who came or didn’t. Yet I found these pictures which at the time amazed me… I’d ordered another food order earlier via Amazon from Morrisons. I need help with these mind blanks. I shall see if Kara can get me a lift to the Doctor’s sorted out ASAP, then see if the Dr can see me on that day and time. Or the other way around.

As Carer Cris arrived, I came back to as near to normality as I’d ever get. I think I was responsive; no, I was! And I can recall much of this visit.
But the seizures continued, but it seemed for only a minute or two at a time. Again, during one of them, I took more shots of the amazing clouds, this time with the new Kodak.

Then I had a bit of luck!

More sky shots with the spare old camera.

Last call from Carer Chris. He wanted to get home, bless him.
I gave him some treats. He’s a good lad.
Another fairly long seizure or mind-blank.
I found two more photos taken on the SD card.
I’m afraid I missed getting full pleasure from these shots.

Better get this on before I risk making a midnight feast.

Hope to be back in the morning… Hehe, it is morning now.
Back later, he says confidently.
I’m back…
I consumed a hell of a lot of bothers and bleeding to make a meal… Tsk!

Talk about a busy, messy, confusing, frustrating day.
Yes, it was a normal one for me. Different? Oh, yes! But coping with such a lot to do and sort at the same time and extra situations arriving, which is more than the eBay order did, I have to admit it got to me. and I even found time to have a few short that didn’t help me to cope. I had several Unexpected visitors, welcome as they were, who took up hours and hours of the day. It is now 22:20hrs… and I’ve just started this blog. It doesn’t help with having to recreate the icons and graphics I stupidly lost yesterday. I’ll try not to waffle too much, but the unexpected events, occurrences, and problems while being visited by to have the yearly fact & figure updating interview. One while Carer Kara and then Carer Christopher were here. Very embarrassing. I tried to write things down to remember, but much of today’s history is now in the ether, most of which I didn’t make notes of to prompt me later.
I was stuttering, mumbling and struggling to find words to answer the questions that came from the three occasions. I’ll do my best to fill in the blanks… no I won’t; I’d probably get that wrong. I’m becoming something of an authority and maestro at making an exhibition of myself, but usually, I’m not aware of it, but I was today, pure self-embarrassment.

But Warden Deana, dealing with so many other tenants affected in a similar way, took it all in her stride. Bless her. Thanks, Deana, my preciousness. 💘
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I woke up rather earlier, 04:14hrs.  (I don’t think I’ll even get to bed tonight! (00:24hrs now). I’d passed much urine overnight.
Wee-wee too dark again, though.
I took this sadly poor shot of the view from the kitchen windows.
I took a lot of photos today, I just couldn’t stop?
I shelled the last of the pod peas. Initially, I wanted to have a meal, but with all the hassle and need to get this blog done, I didn’t have a meal. But of course,  was on and off all day, even worse now, and missing a meal will do me little harm with the lard I’m carrying around my waist.
After washing, I took these three shots of the morning view from the kitchenette window again. I think I must have got a wobble on with the second shot.
I may have had a mini-seizure here. My next recollection is that I was at the computer, and I’d put it on, but nothing was done on it. I automatically, when coming out of the mind-blank, went and checked the taps in the wet room and cooker in the kitchen. The wet room was okay, but the hot water tap in the kitchen sink had been left on. I turned it off, but the water was stone cold. No shower today, then. I found I  had made a brew of tea. It was near the kettle; no milk in it, and that was cold too
. I didn’t get too annoyed with myself, lets face it, I get these blanks every day of varying degrees.
I opened CorelDraw and got some graphics created for the blog.
Downloaded some graphics onto Wednesday’s update and pressed on with getting it finalised.
Suddenly I had to abandon the blogging to go to the wet room and Porcelain Throne.
Trotsky Terence was back. But the evacuation was still painful. Bits of blood scattered in, Still Kharki coloured and excessively smelly. I even noted a whole garden pea in the mixture! The Ocado delivery arrived. I’d forgotten all about it coming.
I got the carriers to the kitchen and started sorting out their contents. Some of the bags were torn, so it took me some time.
There is plenty of food now. The red spring onions arrived; I do like them. I put them in the fridge and somehow made room for the bread in the full freezer.
Again my stomach and innards sent me to the Porcelain Throne. This time the battle between and was closer. Not only that, the blood was a deeper red. Which indicated that the poor had been torn open. The freshly put-on PPs an hour or so ago were well red, as were my bottom and legs! Washing up yet again, having to boil water in the kitchen and carry it to the wet room, a high-risk task, but all okay.
I went onto the balcony for a break from making mistakes on the Wednesday blog. It appeared that it had been raining during the night. The mudslide near the end car park had returned. The petricor was smellable as soon as I opened the window. Not many people about this morning. Back into the flat, Carer Chris arrived. Chris pointed out that I was stuttering a lot this morning. I’d not noticed until then. After he’d gone, I made an order for next week, for Tuesday, I think, from Asda. I got a phone call from the District Nurse to say they would not be calling, but they will next week.
Carer Kara arrived to do the finances. This is when the second Howling-Haze and Memory-Blank attack came. I’m sure I had to remember something she told me, but from here on, I had no notes to access. I know she went to the computer. I may or may not have mentioned my search for a child monitor, or maybe I mentioned it to her on Wednesday. We may have looked on the Amazon site, but we could not find a straight plug-in one. I’m not certain. Yet I do recall Deana arriving later on, and we did look on Amazon but could not find one suitable. She kindly said she’s check and email me back if she found any. Which she did. She emailed exactly what to put on the Amazon search box. She said the same thing is cheaper from Argos, suggesting I get one from there. So I ordered one. Of course, with the delivery charge, it proved costlier than the Amazon one. I can’t win! Nothing new there, then.
Deana carried out the personal detail listing. I was not fully with it and struggled to find words; that is not me usually. I could not find Sister Jane’s new telephone number or address. I had to call her and ask. I got a telling-off from her, of course, for not knowing where it was. Hehehe!
Then came a threat of a £1000 fine via a letter from the Government about me not paying the full price for a TV licence. The letter added that they had permission and that someone would be calling to check that if I had a television, a prosecution would follow. Deana wrote down her telephone number, and when they come, I’m to tell them to ring her. Apparently, several tenants have had one of these red letters.
Then, the big seizure came. Yet I had done a lot of work on CorelDraw, without too many errors as well,
The doctor’s receptionist called with the new Warfarin Doses.
The District nurse called… I’ve mentioned this already. Tsk!

The above sunset photos were taken, and then an hour or so later, the ones on the left.

Carer Chris arrived. He was in a good mood, bless him, and I took this shot of him while he was in a manly but jolly mood.
Hehe, there was no catheter bag to put on. I had not eaten, and cooking while carrying the bag and tube is dangerous. There were no diabetic socks to take off, which I had not put on. He liked his treats and merrily went off home. Thanks, Chris. Have a good kip. I left the TV on, thinking I’d have time to watch it while eating the meal. It didn’t work out, lol. It’s 01:20 hrs
now. No TV watching. Nothing to eat.
I’ve just put some spuds in the oven.
I’ll try to wake up in the morningOh, it is morning! And then I’ll get back on here. No, I won’t! I’ll carry on with this!

I’ve missed some photos off, better late than never. Humph!
Just before it went over the horison, I, at long last, got a decent shot of the retiring Sun.
I was pleased with this one.
.

An horison shot after the sun had gone to sleep. The lower shot is of the end car park, it was a bit dark. The drizzle had started again, but by the time I’d taken the photographs and closed the window – without trapping my finger (I knew something had to go right!).

Tired, deflated, and in a mind-haze, I got the much-belated meal  prepared and served on a  tray. I gave it a rating of 6.9/10 For flavour & taste, it would have been far higher had not made eating it so painful.
No sooner had I finished eating it than I delved into the warmth of Sweet Morpheus for at least ten minutes. Then, my right ankle took over the Keep-Inchy-Awake Duties. She did an excellent job of it, too. Humph!

The sleep was lousy, maybe the worst ever for getting disturbed. This time, by . He’d given me a break for two nights, but he was back with a vengeance last night.  I wish that & would ease off a little bit… if not go away altogether.

Sorted the night pouch. The next task was the utilising of the Porcelain Throne. After a long slog, the first of the three tungsten steel-type sausages was released. The second one was not too keen to escape. Several Oohs and Arghs later, it was released. A moment later, I was getting on my feet to sort the after-the-release cleaning out. I had to hastily get myself down again, just in time, too. The final flurry produced a tough, tiny torpedo that hurt more than the first two put together! Hehe!

My ankle ulcer looked much better, although the legs were a little bloated and misshaped, to say the least. Hehehe!
Shaving and showering – yes, a lovely shower, were bloodless, which can’t be said for Little Incies Fungal Lesion.

I then got the late morning (I got up later today) morning views taken and realised something about each of the shots taken.
Zoomed in shot of HMP Nottingham. Opened in 1890 as a city gaol but was reconstructed in 1912, and until 1997, served as a closed training establishment for adult males. In 1997, D wing and E wing were opened, and the prison became a category B local establishment serving local courts in Nottingham and Derby. Currently holding 1,200+ interned villains. 2 local and 7 illegal immigrant killers & Murderers, 5 attempted murderers, muggers, con artists, causing death by dangerous driving, con artist, child molesters, drug dealers, pick-pocket, rapists, and an ex-politician. Having just released a convicted murderer of three old age pensioners from his 20-year sentence after 6 years. No doubt he’ll kill more innocents again, thanks to the murderous Parole Boarder’s decision to free him.
Within this shot towards the City Centre, there have been, in the last year, eight murders.
The biggest drug raid done by the police in Nottingham was at these flats. They found drugs worth £1.2m in one flat. In which four immigrants were living free of all charges, awaiting a decision to be made. Only one was charged and is still waiting in the same flat for him to be deported back to Lithuania. Perhaps they will drop him by parachute?

Pod pea preparing – a nibble pot?

Afternoon view.

Early meal – Nice!

Afternoon shots of the sky.

Dizzy, double vision, I had to give up on the blog.
TV,,, and nodded off for a few minutes – sprang awake… repeatedly until the Care arrived, who caught me nodding and woke me up. Hehe!

I fell asleep. The springing awake continued, so I got up to check the taps, cooker, etc., and apparently took this photo.
What was supposed to be, I know not.

Ahem, I found it within 3 seconds!
No, I’m not joking.

It’s darned slow work having to recreate all signs, as the Smug-Mode one each time I want to use one. Grumph!

Thursday is likely to be a heavy day with other things too.
The snotty, superior, humourless SpecSavers chap is coming to find the new spectacles. Sister Jane & Pete might be calling. The nurse is due to take out and fit a new catheter set-up. The Ocado food delivery is due. The delivery of the present for someone is due. There’s something else as well, but I can’t remember what it was. Might it be a call coming in from the Diabetes Program chap? Or… well, summat else.

Good Morning Each!

I lost my District Nurse for the leg ulcer and Lymphorrhoea Leslie. Last call today. The wound has healed. Damn it! Another bright highlight is lost to the misery of my existence. The pain was worth it to get some company in the flat. Still, they will call to tend to the Catheter contraption every few weeks. So all is not lost company-wise.
I got an unexpected Iceland order today.  I cannot recall making one at all. To make things worse, I’d just made one for Friday!
The ablutions again took me an age. Nearly three hours. Of course, after that, I forgot what I was doing and got terribly confused. When I returned to the computer, I proceeded to open the wrong blog and lost hours again before I realised I was working on an old one. Then, I made a mess of transferring it back to the original blog, and even more hours evaporated while trying to get it right again. I fear it may contain some errors, mistakes and cock-ups. I even made a mess of the Ode and had to touch it up… but now I find I’ve reposted the graphic with the mistakes still on it.
Condemnatory self-loathing combined with a frustration of mega-proportions followed. There is no doubt about it: & They are winning the battle to control my mind. They are increasing cock-ups daily and creating a feeling of pointlessness in life. Along with my financial bewilderment, my frustration grows deeper. The pointlessness I feel now is prompted by my inability to counter these at-the-moment problems and knowing they will only worsen. It’s the same with  , & dying-off. It ain’t gonna get any better.
All this created a counter-opinion, and I feel shame complaining to myself. Obviously, (to me), I must deserve this misery. My past actions, maybe? I am just hoping that someone in the medical world reads this blog and can conjure up some compassion and help me to cope. Hahaha!
Enough of this self-pitying! At least, although a struggle time-wise, I can somehow produce the odd decent ode
. Even if this blog is reduced to just an ode a day. Inevitable eventually, what with taking me three hours to get the ablutions done, and all the time spent correcting errors, the tumbles and stumbles, my camera using problems, my memory being unreliable, the catheter pains, Leg dances, my eyes fading, lack of hearing so bad I can’t hear the intercom, fire-alarm, door chime or water leak alarm. I’m guessing what people are saying. And the unwanted Dark-Dank-Depressions after each related incident, yet I still love doing this blog & ode. So, as long as I can, I will, even in cut-down form. I love reading other folks’ blogs and receiving and answering comments on mine. It’s my social life. And I do appreciate it. I can’t help it; I’m addicted! Now, where are my Codeines? Hehehe! Another minimalistic set of unreadable notes to refer to. It’s a good job that I took some Kodak Tim photographs to help me recall things. But it is now tomorrow, and my recollections needed some help. I’m getting things so mixed up lately. My concentration and eyesight are getting worse earlier each day.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The nocturnal catheter pouch was removed, and the day pouch connected. At the same time, a little naughty, disapproving language was spoken to the painful . Which seemed to get them more irritated. Tsk!

I got the three waste bags made into one and placed it near the front door. I then had an
.
I didn’t need to struggle to remember this incident! I hit my poor left foot’s toe as I turned around to return to the mini-hallway.   Arrgh!
Even considering what was about the Cartilage girls and what was about to happen in the wetroom, this remains the single most painful experience of the day!

I hobbled to the kitchenette and took some non-prescription painkillers. Taking this photo of the view from the window. Still cursing for stubbing my toe!

I got on the computer to start the graphic for the ode of the day. To my Utter Dismay, the alignment options in the WordPress Gallery had a blank icon for the No Alignment choice box! Has anyone else gotten this new error from their WordPress? All is not lost. Pressing the blank rectangle still makes the graphic or photo non-alignment. Good innit? WordPress!

Five cube-shaped articles plonked into the WC. Followed by a short hailing of following up. I got the feeling that I had better not stand up yet. A good job, too! For a second wave from , heavier than his first, flowed… well splattered, freely. I think I was lucky here.

I cleaned and cleared up after the double-entendered evacuation. And did the teggies.
Then, the potentially dangerous job of shaving was tackled. Five bloody cuts, and a later by around ten minutes, I gave up trying to stop the flow of the red stuff on my cheek and nose
. The Brut was not working this morning. This called for the strong stuff! I got the tube of cream that I used for Little Inchies Fungal lesions and dabbed some on the stubborn face cut. I’m so glad I didn’t jump any higher than I did, or else my head may have gone through the concrete ceiling into the above flats’ wet room! Well, it felt like it! I put a plaster with some Dettol on the ultra-tiny cut. Then I had another jump! Hehehe! But it did the trick for a while and stopped the flow.
Then, yet another farce: getting the fresh PPs on. It was all the same hassle and pain as yesterday’s attempt, but it took longer to get them on today. I’m not sure why, really. Silly me! Obviously (now I think of it), were hurting me far more today. It was another record length of time to get the job done.

I got back to my blogging duties, and the intercom sounded. It was a food order from Iceland. And did I make one only yesterday for next Friday? Indeed, there was an error somewhere. As I accepted the bags kindly dropped in the doorway for me by the driver, it was clear from the contents that this was indeed my order. The 2 extra large Lamb Shanks confirmed this. I got the things stored away, and what a job this was! After loading it up, I thought I heard the fridge creaking. Hehehe! I was pleased to see that I had some more pod peas in there, and they will be eaten up with a lamb shank & gravy, with some roast potato cubes!
Iceland had substituted some items again! Don’t think that this angered me, made me spit, or got me feeling all pissed off. Well… yeah, I did!
A few drops of rain when I eventually opened the curtains and took these belated morning shots of the view from the balcony.
The mudslide was somewhat intrusive this morning; well, it’s lunchtime now.

The Cartilage Girls continue to give me some pain. In fact, not that I’ve done a lot of hobbling about. Cartilage Chloe once and Cartilage Carole twice gave way on me. But thankfully, there have been no tumbles. I’ve been Tumble-Free all day up to now!

Carer Sam called belatedly. They are doing their best. Obviously, they have problems just as we do. No bother.

I launched myself most belatedly at the blog updating.

District Nurse Sarah (I think it was) came in to check over the burst ulcer from the burn and Diabetic Edema. She called for advice, and they agreed that this is as much as is needed with the diabetic bandaging. The ulcers on both of my ankles are leak-free now, but I’ll miss them calling on me.
I didn’t cry too much! Haha!

I started shelling the pod peas in preparation for the meal preparations. Quite a few of them got into the bowl, but many amazingly just jumped into my mouth. I can’t understand it.
These lamb shanks are easy to cook in the bag. I later dropped the peas in the water to cook.
On a low boil, they take only 30 minutes to cook this way.
I then sorted the potato cubes from the Asda bag from the freezer. Remove the ones with any black spots on them. Which was about 25% in total. And got them cooking on a tray in the oven.
After a while, Carer Sam arrived. Medicated me, and then I went to check on the now-burnt potatoes. I picked through them to remove the too-hard ones and those with the black spots I missed and got them in a dish to add later.
What a feast!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, apart from some of the burnt spuds being too hard for my shortage of teeth and the few remaining being in the sad, broken, painful state. It was almost, but not fully worth the pain afterwards from .

I had planned to get back on the blog, but fading eyesight and increasing tiredness forced me to stop everything and just sit down in itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner.
I turned on the TV and just fell asleep. It was heaven!
Carer Chris came, and I cannot recall much of this visit. I think he… well, no, I don’t know.
Later, Christopher called for a late visit, and I still slept. I can recall him taking off the one sock I had on. In the morning, I found it crumpled up on the ottoman. He must have put the catheter night bag on for me.

I continued to sleep without any problems. Having the longest-ever kip for months! I suppose I needed it?
