It’s genuinely difficult to write this little overview,
And wanted to write it in rhyme, too!
I’m not going to start moaning… I’ll try not to…
Naturally, I can’t promise you,
My brain used to act as an autocue…
Now, Wednesday, I’ve another brain scan due,
Dementia Doreen has me as a detenue & détenu,
It’s difficultest to maintain logic & virtue,
There is no point now in taking any long view…
It’s a battle to wash, dress, and take a poor!
Whatever can I do?
I try to stay witty and not feel blue…
Price rises in rent, electricity, & food accrue,
Bad enough, but now the mind does miscue,
The eyes give me misty, mottled view…
The catheter pain, pouch replacement is overdue…
Without help, I can’t get on a sock or shoe!
Taking too many tumbles. walk into doors too!
Deafness worsening will continue…
But I’ll not give in, I promise you!
When I see St Peter and his gate crew…
There’s going to be a right hullabaloo!

————————————
Sorry not have much on today; time beat me again…

This is the punch, one hour after emptying it. Not a lot?

Gloomy morning.

.
Potatoes were put in the slow cooker and forgotten about again.
I can use them on Monday?

Email from Manor Laboratories in the USA. The Time-Machine Professor Billum and HRH Lisa-Petal, are going to ring me again: Bless them!
Being a logical Scientist, Billum asked which time would be bestest to make the call. I checked on next week’s calendar and sent a copy to the Manor. It was early Morning when I found this, hope  I got it right.

Yikes! This ain’t good.

Not so good view photos tonight.
Still, I’ve done worserer ones. Tsk!

The ‘In’s & Out’s of it’ continued today.
I think I had many more than yesterday.
Which resulted in dozens of mini-mind-blanks.
As for  recalling what I was doing… well?

Gotten Himmel!
I think it looked worse than what it was. The light shining on the masculine, jealous-making to others, postmarked scarred, blotchy right leg makes the blood in the bag seem darker than it really is. No? .
The pouch seemed ready to explode as well.

The vegetarian casserole went down well. I’d seasoned t with some Henderson’s sauce, sea salt, 7-Mediterranean vegetables sauce, and tomato passata with basil, and a vegetable Oxo cube. Oh, yes, and a sprinkling of some imitation soya-bacon crumbles.
I gave this a Taste Rating of 7.4/10. Not bad at all.

Sweet Morpheus was not keen on helping me again, and I ended up putting the TV on, that usually guarantees me nodding off. Well, it did this time… But unfortunately, it took a couple of hours longer than usual

Evening, all!
Well, Morning all then. Hehe!

No night bags all week, so I have had to empty the day bag overnight a few times. Hey-Ho! Then off to the most popular room in the flat, the room. Another battle is to encourage the evacuation product to evacuate. Haha!

The carer arrived, got the medications sorted and had a little chinwag.
Then… back to typo the again.
on the way back to the , with still in command.

Got some Apache potatoes in the crock-pot after removing the growth shoots, of which there were dozens of.

AGAIN!
Getting fed up with this.
Surely thinks, being so solid as they are, you’d expect
the visits to be less often, not more?

Made a mug of Glengettie… and took these snaps below.

I enjoyed watching the man and his tail-wagging dog.

Got on the computer…
What was going right… well, nothing was real.
Memory blanks for words and happenings. Distractions via the agony of the  tube in poor little Inchies!!! I think this may be due tri the lack of night pouches. The nurse did say it was important to put the night bag on as it gives the day bag a chance to flow, getting rid of the infection as it did so. That makes seance to me, but no bags have arrived yet.  They certainly won’t arrive at the weekend, so the stinging pains look to be contended with a little longer. Then the pain from the evacuating product causes more bleeding from . Of course, agonising pains mean nothing to me whatsoever.

Back again to the Wet room.

Fancy that one of the Enoxaparin needles was bent. Still got in the mould of elephantine stomach both times safely.

Youngsters were spotted trying to make a snow slide for their multicoloured plastic, whatever they were called.

Got another reminder from Severn-Trent!

By gum, the snow’s cleared mighty fast?

Aha, it looks like we might see sundown shortly.

Back Again!

The sunset began earlier than usual.

The sun was going down so fast…
It seemed like just ten minutes later…
In the first of these shots, just caught the last glimpse of the sun as it disappeared from view.
The sunset was all over, just some reflection from the disappeared sun. Not sure if reflection is the right word… can anyone help, please?

Carer Josef arrived, we got the medications done and
had a little natter. Which I enjoyed

Carer Jo-Anne – no night bags. Ah, well!

Closed down the computer around midnight and got some nosh sorted

Apache potatoes (7.2/10)
Imitation Porkies (6/10)
Orange tomatoes (8.3/10)
Sourdough rolls… (7/10)
Lathered with delicious Flora Soya butter. (9.2/10). (For Billum in Ohio)
The average score is beyond my skills at the moment.

I enjoyed it, and emptied the 7th-level rated urine coloured.
pouch.

I took this wobbly, blurry shot of the pouch as I emptied it.
A bad photograph. Due to my bending and shaking and bad eyes.
The colour was, as I said, top,  worst graded 7.

Nightie-Night!
Well, Good Morning (04:00hrs).

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I think I spent more time today out of it – than in?
Problems with the bank (unsorted), WordPress (ongoing),
CorelDraw (a night & daymare), Catheter Kathleen’s
Accoutrements (Sorted by Carer Carole-Anne), the start
of Trotsky Terence and the lurgy; a combined, concerted
attack that was still in full flow this morning. (Wednesday).
Multitudinous Memory Blanks and many periods for which
I have not yet made a name to use for it. It’s hard to
explain as well. But I’ll try;

❶: Over perhaps a four-hour period, during which two carers called, and several times I forgot what they had just said and what I was saying and going to say in reply.
❷: My mood went from euphoria to depression within seconds and kept alternating for a few minutes? (This has happened a couple of times over this last week, and this is the second session of it this week?
❸: The mind blanks and freezes can last for seconds or hours?.
❹: Sometimes I am so positive about something – certain, sure…
Until five minutes, or hours, days later, and the doubts, dithering and then the oscillating begins.
❺: Questioning my own decisions. Loathing my actions sometimes…
Momentarily engulfing bigger problems I have…
❻: Then, any stage or condition of mind may take over (worryingly)
This can vary from a ‘Sod-Em-all’, ‘Why bother?’, ‘No one is bothered’, to a newish standard for me. ‘What can I say?’ ‘What can I do?…
❼: Which always turns into a self-loathing mode, frustration, or a hated, pathetic, dreaded Dracula-Depression.

If the end is really, nigh…
Why should I wonder why?
My depression I’d like to transmogrify…
My brain & logic, to reunify,
Or would it be best to just die?
My moustache, with indigo dye?
Either way, would there be an outcry?
Or, take some CBD or eat some nautili?
I asked for help, do I get a reply?
I’m losing it quicker as time goes by…
No good luck, fortune or stimuli!
Sleep: I’m not getting much shuteye,
Failures, bad luck; no shortage have I!
Should I eat Spinach, like Popeye?
But no, in vitamin K it’s too high!
Banned for me, like sprouts & broccoli…
Cabbage, grapefruit, at least I know why,
What can I do: Whatever I try…
But I’ll not let myself sink, mope or cry…
What to have to eat? (I give a sigh!)
Worrying, my weight’s getting so high!
Apache potatoes, & a lemon cream pie?
My gluttony, I cannot rectify,
The Catheter hangs down painfully from my thigh,
Although, what the heck does that signify?
We’ll never know… bye-bye.

Photos of the day with the odd bit of comment.

Crisp-coloured day pouch.

Not the foggiest idea now; why I took this one?

Nor this one, but there may have been a witty idea drifting about that I could use... but it escaped!

Aha! The Ocado order arrived.
Marmite!
Fullish cupboard?
Been after trying this for ages.
Spring Water stockpile?
Apache potatoes.
Good looking and tasting, too!

A smidge bloodier?

Afternoon clouds.
Very nice…
Absolutely gorgeous close-up!
Do you see a duck’s or snake’s head?

Later…
Could be from another planet.
These three had another sun showing up on the photo?
Or did they?

Sunset starting…

Reflection… or whatever you call it…

Dang it, I had to visit the Porcelain Throne
Thus the flow started…
nine more visits before midnight!.
ARGH!

The last views of the Sundown…

Fare Thee Well!

I think Carers Choe, Anne=Mrie, Sam and erm... er… Charly did for me today. So many blanks in the memory.

State of the pouches colourisationings today…

A one on the scale – Perfect!

1.5 Grrreat!

Whoops! Bottom Grade is not good; 7

Well, fancy that!

So sad
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Most of the day, I was concerned about the banking mystery
I got three voice messages over the first hour or so of my escaping the questionable pleasure of the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickening beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, Harold-Haemorrhoids-testing, food residue-collecting, fall-outable off, rusty, catheter-tube squashing recliner.
But I could not hear what was being said, and I missed most of it, especially as they were reading out telephone numbers that I had to dial.
Then another one came, which cleared the phone of the earlier ones, and I had no idea how to get them back again!
At this point, I thought I’ll wait until a Carer came, and I asked for help – hoping it would be . It wasn’t; I think the lad has either left the job, fallen poorly or is fed up with my moaning? Hehehe!

Then, Carer (I think) it was, who arrived). Or was it Carer Charly. I can’t recall which came first now. With the fretting over the bank account being frozen… nothing else mattered for a while.
Then, a telephone call came in!.
After a while, trying to understand the man, who said he was from the bank and was concerned about some outgoing and needed to check them. It was from America; where the two big amounts came from?
They had cancelled my account and will send me a new card in a few days’.
They think that I’ve been frauded, scammed, got at, whatever.
At the back of my Doreen Dementia mind, I was thinking, is this chap a scammer or really from the bank? Either way, he somehow convinced me that he was… he did not ask for any numbers or figures anyway = well, not that I can remember. No one to help me now; Carer Kara is away, and she can’t reset the shopping details… I rang off, but it was afterwards that I realised I’d got an order arriving from Asda and Ocado – will I get them or not with the card being suspended, whatever you call it… withdrawn?
I tried to make an amendment to the Asda order. To see if the card was still active – it let me add a couple of things, but at the checkout, it wouldn’t let me! I checked on the numbers I’d put in earlier and tried again…
Nope, no good. So I’ll not be getting the food then.

I can’t recall seeing the fridge so barren of food. Not that it mattered; I’ve got tons of canned food and nibbles all over the flat. Hahaha!
I mentioned to Carer Charly on her next visit, and she said she’d bring some bread in for me late tomorrow. Bless her!
I’ll try not to mention this again. Thought I’d get it out of the way.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Not many photos were taken. Just not interested for hours and hours I was trying to get my head around and settled over the banking mess. No shave again, not showering. I must drink!

This is the 2nd check colour.

Took this immediately after getting off the phone for the second time… I was more than concerned. So many possible different outcomes that may mature. Talking of mature… I must check the dates on the food in the fridge… Silly me! There are only strawberry desserts in there.

I was weeing well. Although I can’t take any credit doe it. At least fifteen emptying sessions twixt 15:00 to 19:00hrs!

Only the safe sun-setting shots here…

I took these over about half an hour.

To the left…

To the right…

Higher up. ahead.

Higher still…

Even though dour, it looks beautiful to me.

Last effort.

Nosh: At last!

Canned thick vegetable soup. Canned potatoes cut up and added. Seasonings; BBQ, sea salt, liquid smoke, basil, soy-bacon bits and a good dollop of some excellent tomato passata.

An oven-cooked baton of bread. Two pots of dessert – well, one of them was on its last eat-by-date.
Carer Cheeky Charly called. We had no to use. Chemist & District nurse communication problems?

Zzzz!

The night bag this morning. 5-6 on colour patch.

Blimus! This is the day pouch an hour or so later.
Full and bloody – or bloody full. Hehehe!

Two more hours later, this!.

Carers table.

Bad photo of right foot.
But it is better than yesterday.

Evening shot of the sky.

Evening shot of the sky, slightly lower.

Down a bit more…

Down to the car park.

Now you may be wondering where all the details
and other photographs are?. So am I!
I remember having problems with the computer last night. Seriously disconcerting. It was so bad that I had to force close the computer and reboot it again. I think as this was done, It was Carer Jozef that arrived, and I moaned and groaned at my luck a little. Sorry, mate.
Worse was to come!
I’d lost six hours of CorelDraw work. The Ode, photographs, header cartoon graphics, and what was saved were virtually too hard to find, as they seemed to have been saved all over the hard and external storage… I was furious!
But defeated. I turned off the computer, hoping to sort it all out in the morning. Then took the evening shots above and got the stew made.

Well, not stew, more a can of soup, to which I added a mass of soy imitation bacon bits and a load of baked mini-cubes of potatoes.
Along with the traditional for me, tomato passata, liquid smoke, BBQ sauce and salt and vinegar.
Despite my so low mood, I enjoyed it.
Flavour Rating: 7.8/10.

Worran ‘orrible day!

Aha, right leg for less swollen this morning.

Amazing change in the urine colour on the first emptying

Social event notification.

Early evening.
No sunset as such, but…
I captured these two close-ups.

A man shouted at the panel…
DELIVERY!
I opened the foyer lock door…
Then as I made my way to the door, I
spotted the Amazon van pulling away…

Crap! He’s left the stuff down in the foyer, I bet!
No choice left other than to go down and find out. Here I go!
Which meant going down in my dressing gown with the catheter on display.
Although at the time, this did not occur to me at all. (thanks, Doreen Dementia!) When I got down, and saw a stack of parcels left on the table near the door, some for me, and number 5 and 42 flats. It was when two ladies returning home came in, and I saw their faces as they looked at me, that I realised I had only got on the dressing gown and slippers!
The kind ladies helped me with the parcels, one of them carrying one for me that would not fit on the three-wheeler walker. ♥ Bless Her! ♥

I’d ordered some giant cans of French Casserole. Citric Acid and vegan Bacon bitsOh, and BBQ flavouring.
I opened the boxes and got the waste I had made to the bin in the foyer.
Then opened a can of the above meals… Of which five of the six cans had dents of varying degrees in them. Tsk!
I got some potato chunks from the freezer and got them in the oven. Planning to add flavouring to the meal, then add the potatoes.
Got the oven on the top heat setting, opened the can, and deposited the ingredients into the thick saucepan.
It didn’t look particularly appetising to look at, but smelt rather delectable to me, anyway. 800grm of food, to which I added…

I settled into my crumbling rotting c1966. charity shop bought, the second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. With the intention of watching an episode of ‘Heartbeat’. Drifted off into sweet oblivion for about an hour. (Bliss!)
pressing the door chime to release the tune “Oh, Susana” blasting into my face from the box opposite my location, bringing me back to the scary reality of my tormenting, , and torturing, plaguing real-time, and the actual reality that life’s quality is sinking fast. (Shame).
Jozeph issued the medications, and . He enquired if I was cooking something cause he cols smell food burning… Potatoes; I’d left them in the oven – for over an hour!

Hobbling at warp-three to the kitchen, in a semi-panic, only to find that the potatoes were burnt… but to perfection, for me, just how I love them.
A bit of good luck there; after so long, surely they should have been just cinders? Is the stove on its way out?
Farewell to Jozeph or Jozef; I wish I could remember to ask him. Hehe!

On with the meal making such as it was. I’d added the tomato passata, basil, liquid smoke and liquid salt & vinegar earlier to let it marinate in the saucepan for a while to get the flavour. I served it on the tray and took a photo of the feast. But, into the ether, it went from the SD card. It must be something I’m doing wrong, surely for it to happen so often? I left half of the meal in the saucepan, intending to transfer it to a dish and put it in the fridge to have tomorrow – but changed plans when I went into the kitchen in the morning and found it had gelled together and did not smell too nice. So, I dished it. Huh, all that cost and effort as well! !

It was while eating and enjoying it that I could smell some burning? I returned to the kitchenette to check things. All seemed okay to me?

Back into the front room to have another session with the fodder… then I got a Peripheral Neuropathy delayed reaction; and felt the pain around my knuckles… Yes, I supposed must have burnt myself taking the potatoes out of the oven? This often happens to me. With the nerve ends, neurotransmitters are dying off (Peripheral Neuropathy). Sometimes, the supposedly instant transmissions from the nerve end to the brain get delayed. So literally, the brain did not get the message until much later.

Keepeth Safe!

Horrific Day
I would have topped myself…
But I didn’t have time. Hehe!

I really cannot remember much about yesterday.
But I’ll try to decipher the notes and use the pictures in hopes of working out the chronological bits I can be prompted on.

Throne, unblocked WC. Something about the cancelled Asda order, no idea what, the writing and eyes are so bad.
Carer Richard called. Did the first BP reading.

And urine colouring. Not good at all

Getting the paperwork together for Friday’s brain scan…found a letter, but it gave the date as Thursday, not Friday? The Warfarin nurse arrived – and did not have time to help me sort out the problem.
The pain, no, agony from Little Inchie was getting worse and worse, as time moved on.
Carer Carolynne arrived, and could see the agony I was going through, and rang the District Nurse for me, they told her someone would call to tend to me. Bless her!! I am confused so am going to have to guess at the timing and names over the next four hours.
The nurse said there was a blockage in the bladder. Squirted something down the tube, and reconnected the pouch. When I mentioned the appointment for the scan having two dates on them, and needing to know which is the one to go to, she kindly rang all the five or six numbers on the letterheads from the QMC, and could not get through to any of them. I’m sure she then rang the QMC switchboard, and they could not get through to them either. The operator said she’d ring me back later. They did; the Carer told me it was for Friday. Of course finding the letter with the Thursday one on, I’d rung Easy-Link to see if they could cancel the Friday one, and move it to Thursday. No! But they will try Thursday to let me know if they have any cancellations.
My head was spinning now.
Got the yesterday’s blog, and didn’t get around to starting this one until about 21:30hrs! The eyes, as usual, were failing and blurred now, by balance was all over the place. And the new pouch was got being pee’d into. What tiny bit was there was bloodied!
Don’t know when or why I took this one above.

Found this one, Richard.

This shows how well-coloured and heavy-flowing the wee had been the first thing.

Then this one is what it is like now…

Another earlier shot.

The yopo two notepads are mine, so you can see why I am making a mess of this blog? The bottom one was what Carer Carolynne wrote to remind me after. Carer Jozeph. Calls from unknown people as well, a con here, methinks was being tried.
Took what I’d hoped would be sunset photos, but the clouds were not playing.

A little later… I did the last wee check…

Then the nearest thing to a sunset…

Carer Richard told him about the horrid day of disasters and asked him not to put the night pouch on tonight.
I been up all night, no sleep.
Fretting, worrying and fed up.

Now suddenly, the wee-wee is flowing again, and the pain has begun to ease after about eight hours of just the odd bloodied trickle.
Oh, dear, it’s a bit bloodied again now.

06:00hrs, I’m going to make a meal.
Well, a pot noodle!

Worked all through the night on this blog.
Fell asleep around 04:00hrs.

ALL THE MISTAKES IN THE ODE ABOVE WERE NATURALLY INTENTIONAL. Ahem!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I woke and had to force myself not to nod off again. The ablutionisationing just had to be done early today. So as to try and get the Sunday blog finished and get through the marathon shower[shaving and shi…, erm Porcelain Throne Sessioning done. get dressed and all the paperwork etc., ready for the trip to the hospital done in time. A challenge? Yes!
But for a man of my calibre, brave, sophisticated, on the point of being heroic. Such a challenge is welcome. Yes, a two-hour-plus struggle, yet I relish such things. Indeed, I crave them!
Please bear in mind I have not yet taken my medications.

On fumbling my way free of the clutches and crumb-containing aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner…

Signs of much nocturnal nibbling having taken place were found on and around the waste bin at the side of the chair. Ahem!

I tackled the night bag detached.

A smidge dark, traces of some blood in there?

The bag was filling up quickly, but it looked a slightly better colour.
I was planning to shower, so I thought I’d get rid of some urine in case it came on again while I was in the shower.

The teggies were done, and I got my feet in the bowl on the floor soaking in Dettol and was about to start shaving… the was suddenly needed. So it was to be – But what a messy affair!
Of course, by the time I’d cleaned things up, the water in the bowl had gone cold. No problem, I’ll empty it down the WC and refill it… Did I say No Problem? I dropped the bowl. Had to clean things up again, but I was undaunted. Little did I know what dropsies lay in wait for me later in the day, as well! I got the shaving done with only three little cuts,
I reached up to close the shower curtain…

I felt a little discomfort in the armpit… I got the camera to try and get a photo of it…
A right red mark in there, and all the hairs had disappeared???

Was dried off with paper towels.

All looked well with the contraption.

I got things medicated, dropping the ear-holes olive oil and spilling much of it on the floor. Got dressed and off to the kitchen to get the kettle on. I knocked the saucepan off of the stove top when I dropped the milk bottle… I have to report that; There’s more to come later… Tsk!

I took a reasonably decent photo of the blue morning view.

arrived. Got the medications done, but he did not look very well. I felt guilty asking him to help in putting my socks on. Poor lad looked proper poor;y to me. Fingers crossed for him. He a grand chap.

I got the paperwork checked, including the times of the lift. Got myself downstairs to wait for the Easy-Lift minibus. Jenny was down there sorting some of her charity work to be collected, bless her cotton socks. Lovely to see her. The van arrived, and the lady got me to the hospital with no bother. Thank you.
I’d not taken the camera with me, cause it’s bigger than the new ones and would be awkward to use and keep safe. I got these two photos from the web when I got home.

..

I got inside and joined the queue for the receptionist. A nice lady greeted me, and I gave her the paperwork, which she checked, and told me someone e would be down to see me shortly. I thanked her and moved into a seat as instructed. Remembered that I’d not got my mask on (Covid), so got it on post-haste. After a minute or two, Mr Mann came to me, checked m name and commanded (I’m not joking), to follow him, which was not easy as he’d got a good rate of speed on him. Into his office, sat down, and I was out and going back to the reception in… I’d estimate five minutes max.
He got annoyed when I could not hear what he was saying. But he only asked me three questions anyway. I think they were; how long have you had the catheter on? 8-9 weeks! Have you had a bladder scan? Yes! He asked a third question that I had to guess.
Then he said; That’s it then; we’ll see how you go when they take it off. You’ll not see me again! Very nice!
Back to the reception area to await the lift home. It was due in about an hour or so. I got the pen and crossword book out and gave it a go for gouty minutes or so. It was hard work reading the clues, but I enjoyed it. Even if I didn’t get many answers, it kept my brain going.

I got the pains in Little Inchie, and I knew that the catheter bag must be full and filling the tube with nowhere to go. I couldn’t check it, because it would mean taking off my trousers.
I thought I’d join the queue again to ask if it was possible for me to use the WC to empty the bag. But the kind lady who greeted me came over to me and asked if I was waiting for a lift or do I want her to call anyone. Kind! I explained my unfortunate condition, and she got two… I say two nurses who took me to the closet and emptied the pouch ♥!
Not only that, but as I was about to go with them, the Easy Link minibus arrived. The kind lady said you get your bag seen to; I’ll tell the diver what’s happening. She made me feel important. Unlike the Doctor, who knew I was an NHS imposter and had no qualms about looking and talking down to me.
The two nurses, by the way, I think, were in the photo from the web. Fourth and sixth from the left. ♥♥♥

The driver, chappie, was patient with me and soon had me back at the flats. I gave him drinkies from the three-wheeled-walker trolley basket.

I met Carer Carol-Anne in the lift.
She sorted the meds for me..

Dropped a mug of tea!

All clean up.

SOD ME!
AGAIN!

Peed off now!

Started A pan of vegetable stew.
Knocked the knife box off of the ledge when taking photos.

AGAIN!
Knocked the box off!!!

Great space-related shots? Hehe!

Later…

Carer Charly.

Time for Food!

Oh, no, it isn’t!

Arrived. Very tired and not looking well at all, poor lad. He got the night pouch attached to the , and he gave me some Peptac. I got him a cold drink of spring water to help cool him down. Richard was sweating and had a croaking voice. I fear he may have to rest and see his doctor soon. Fingers crossed!
Hope he can get through the day; bless him.

Time for Food!

It started with a can of cheapo Asda vegetable soup and a can of tomatoes. I seasoned it with some BBQ marinade, sea salt & Oxo cubes. I added some peas and potatoes from the slow cooker. Then cooked some potato cubes in the oven until nice and crispy (the ones that Richard rescued as he arrived), crispy hard on the outside, and added them to the saucepan of vegetable delights. It was a struggle getting it prepared, what with the four-pronged walking stick and carrying the night pouch about with me. I did manage one more , spilt some soup on the kitchen floor while dishing it up.

Not that it bothered me or got me grinding my teeth, cursing venomously, encouraged self-loathing, nearly making me cry, or spitting blood…

Then, the feasting started!
Somehow or other, I ate the entire bowlful, and it was a large bowlful.
I enjoyed it and even went into the kitchen afterwards to wash the dishes and check if anything had been missed in my previous cleaning up.
All went well… apart from I’d left the cold tap running, the hob heat on and dropped and broke the sauce pot washing up.
ARGH! An irritated, self-annoyed Inchie could then not get off to sleep… well, not for ages, anyway. Grrr!

Lots of hassle today – what about I cannot say yet.
combined with Doreen Dementia’s and Sweet Morpheus’s ploy to ensure my getting very little sleep, a dark depression brought on by the day’s events that I will reveal later on in the week; I am at the lowest point in the contentment stakes that I’m been since, well many a year.
Another cut-short thought circumstances beyond my control (I’m getting a lot of these days lately) in detail diary I fear.

According to my notepad, I got up at 04:00hrs, failing to sleep again. After getting the kitchen mopped and making a brew and Carer Richard arrived. Still looking a little under the weather; bless him. I hope he’ll be alright later on. I tried to cheer him up a smidgeon.

Took this shot of the foggy morning…

Stayed misty all day long.

Went to refill the one-litre water bottles from the cheaper 2-litre ones… Whoopsiedangleplop! The cat shot off of the bottles, hit me in the middle of my forehead, and generally soaked me and the floor as ~I dropped it, and it spun around on the floor, liberally distributing two litres of water.

Mopped the floor and put the togs in the laundry bag.

Had a visitor and got all agitated afterwards.
On the Computer.
Carer Sam arrived to do the checks and medications.

Then four lines of scribbled notes happened, and it said it was 13:30hrs. No idea what I wrote, but @I must have been stressed to write that bad, even for me. Hump!

Seems I took a picture of the Chestnut Way car parking.
And somehow missed it?

I went back to the computer to get Sunday’s blog completed.
Took the above shot through the sliding windows and balcony ones.

Says here that ~I was feeling drained again. Not sure if that meant tired or I emptied Cathy Catheter’s Pouch.

Remembered that the Blood ~pressure has to be taken four times a day now. I created the graph near the top and put it on here later in the evening when I felt so tired.

.

Had a nosey about what to eat, and I ended up with a Sweet & Sour Noodles pot. I’ll not try them again.

Carer Kara came to serve me. Medicines and safety checks. Nice to see her, she doesn’t come very often… well, as I’d like. Hehehe!

I was fighting off falling asleep – Marvellous, innit? Get yer head down, and you can’t sleep, give up, get up, and you try working on the blog, and you’ll fall asleep in the computer chair! Not only that, you knock a bottle of spring water off the shelf, and Back-Pain Brenda kicks off when you bend to retrieve it. Fed-up? Me?

Fed-up, I may have said that already, I went to put the kettle on, and what a moon was showing up in the early night sky – Grrreat

Just look at the two-tone colour of it!

The last two above were taken much laterer.
Not so good, are they?

arrived as I was making a pan of stew… of sorts and dishing it out into a bowl. Richard kindly waited for me to finish this before , and gave the medications when the meal was readied. He left me with the tray balanced on my bulbous belly – checked the taps etc., and took the waste bag on his way out.
I ate the rather sad as-it-turned-out meal. Got the pots washed, and with the four-pronged walking stick, Metal Mickey in my hands, I went to lock the front door… well, it’s the only external door. Hehe! ,

Back into the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner.

And Zzzz!

Be interesting seeing how they change the catheter. Take my Warfarin Blood Sample, Drain the nest sticky DVT vein, and inject me with Enoxaparin. I’m looking forward to having the next stroke. Hehe!

As I bounded back into imitation life, I remembered I have no  Lumix Camera to use. I tried to last night on the meal and sunset. So, today it gets ignored.  Boy, I’m glad Carer Richard gave me his old Fuji camera. I’ll get some batteries in it. I’ll give it a go later.
I removed and . During which, I observed, felt and swore about that agony the sole (Just under the toes) of my right foot was in! Another new ailment had arrived! No name was given to it, cause I pray it is only going to be a temporary one.
The toes were pale and white, and the boot and ankle looked almost light brown.
When I wriggled the toes, only three of them moved? When I stood up, my balance was all over the place, and the pain, just from the one foot, I classed as a 3-rating. Later in the day, it did ease off – until the evening, around 19:00hrs, then it returned? I was hobbling somewhat.

Came to sort the medications. He told me today was the replacement day for the . I hadn’t any idea… the damned is not easing off. I’ve got the second assessment tomorrow afternoon at the .
Oh, that reminds me, I looked up the FND thought.

Functional neurological disorder – Findings

Functional neurological disorder (FND) describes a problem with how the brain receives and sends information to the rest of the body. It’s often helpful to think of your brain as a computer. In someone who has FND, there’s no damage to the hardware or structure of the brain. It’s the software or programme running on the computer that isn’t working properly.
The problems in FND are going on in a level of the brain that you cannot control. It includes symptoms like arm and leg weakness (Yes) and seizures (No). Other symptoms like fatigue or pain (Yes) – are not directly caused by FND but are often found alongside it. It can cause a range of symptoms, including Problems walking (Yes) – heaviness down one side (Yes) – dropping things (Yes) – feeling like a limb isn’t part of you (Yes). I’ve got all of them. If you have FND, any scans you have will show no damage to the brain to explain the weakness.

Well, I can’t read these above on here, but the spy-glass helped me to. Caused a spell of depression as well afterwards.
I’ll not learn anything about it tomorrow, it’s just another assessment, but in a week or fortnight, I have the first Brain Scan.

Doing the , I had an . I managed to fit in an . No real harm was done.

and I think it was called. The notes on the pad when I got around to doing this bit were of no help at all. A Scrawl!

I must have had for ages; cause hours of the day had been lost. I put this on the list to tell the nurse tomorrow.

I got the batteries in the Fuji camera, and it worked a treat.

I did an order for Ocado for next Wednesday. Then the Asda order that I’d forgotten all about arrived.

The kind driver took them into the kitchen and got them where he could manage to; there was not a lot of room in there.
Damned decent of him.

Anywhere was alright with me.

The guilt… the Guilt! Haha!

Aha, got some washing-up liquid this week.

And to aid my following the nurse’s repeated commands and instructions. I’d got many bottles of spring water in.

Did the evening medicationings.
I waffled on a bit, sorry mate.

Rang to confirm their lift for the afternoon tomorrow. Nice!

Got some sausages and made sarnies with sauce.
Too tired out and stressed to bother making a meal.
Wanted to get it done and eaten before the last
Carer calls to put the on and medicate me. Hehe!
The meal was okayish. Say, a 6/10.

arrived. Did the tasks needed. Had a mini-natter… well, moan from me. Haha! Richard checked the taps and stove, then took the waste bag with him as he departed.

Zzzz!
