Wednesday: Accifauxpas & Whoopsiedangleplopitis were with me again this morning, but I wasn’t surprised after three or four days of this.
But I had some natters, very pleased with this!
Even had some brighter periods; these were bliss!
AMAZON COCK-UPS
Well, no, they haven’t been delivered. Semi-panic!
Another Amazon cock-up, like the Titanic!
I rang Warden Julie, her reaction was fantastic,
She checked Winchester Court, not there,
Rang me back, how altruistic!
AMAZON ACCIFAUXPA TWO & THREE
Most confusing. Is this a trick?
AMAZON ACCIFAUXPA AGAIN
Ungle-Clomp: thought about it… thud!

Peripheral Neuropathy Pete was calm with me, as I took this photo, Came out good for me, I celebrated with a Lemoncello, Seeing the result, I felt a bit less of a Bozzo, I gave myself a virtual pat on the back… Bravo!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Encouraged, I took the view of the end car park.
ACCIFAUXPAS!
Took the picture, closed the window, then things got blurrier…
I noticed two tellurians, fell backwards, Clunk! Landed with a whimper,
But no damage and I didn’t lose my temper…
Just the back pulled, so no need to get schmaltzier!
Managed to get back up on my own, now I felt smugger!
The victim being poor old Back-Pain-Brenda…
A Codeine 30g, a mug of tea, and I soon felt a little betterer!

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP
The blood pressure was not good to be blunt,
But I was not overwrought,
Things would have been worserer…
If it had read nought! Hehe!

INSTANT FATIGUE!
With the recent days’ hassle and bother, it’s been a game,
Wearying, tiring, frustrating, but I do not raim,
But no more could be done, I’m at end of my candleflame,
Rest, peaceful sleep… yes, sleep, that’s now my aim!
I’ll have a nod for an hour or so, then energy I can reclaim…
WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP!
With the recent day’s hassle and bother, it’s been a game,
Wearying, tiring, frustrating, but I do not raim,
But no more could be done, I’m on the end of my candle flame,
Rest, peaceful sleep… yes, sleep, that’s now my aim!
I’ll have a nod for an hour or so, will my aim be lame?
Got some nosh made, and me oh my,
Gorgeous tasting it was too… now for some shuteye!
NO PROBLEM SLEEPING THIS TIME!
I whoofed it down like Bruno from Popeye!
Cleaned the plate with bread, wiped it dry!
Put the TV on, though now I wonder why,
Within minutes it was wakefulness, good-bye!.
4 HOURS LATER, A CONCERNED CARER WOKE ME UP
ACCIFAUXPAS!
I realised it must be the night when the gal gave the medication, Warfarin included a night only application… I felt a touch of creeping self-derision… At the dementia-made confusion and elision, The Thought Storm started; is reality really an illusion? The gal gave me a little chinwag, that helped my self-derision, Making the Thoughts Storms absquatulation.
She didn’t take the waste bags on her way out, Not nowt to worry about… Cause I gave the toe a stubbing, that did make me shout! That, I could have done well without!

SURPRISE!
The Dettol arrived, that Amazon said I’d already had,
Which was something that didn’t make me sad,
What does, happened at Concentration camps & Stalingrad,
Many things make me mad, but they are too myriad!.

WAS I RIGHT?
I made this graphic and posted it, before the Brexit Fiasco,
Before the masses voted for us to leave the Euro,
Sure enough, that’s just what we did, so long ago…
Some were full of joy, expecting things to improve, full of gusto,
Just look at us now, though…,

WHOOPSIEDANGLEPLOP
A belated Accifauxpa!
Well, more selection of Whoopsies really,
Milk from the fridge, I knocked over the banoffee,
It fell onto the floor and broke, after hitting my knee!
Got down to clean it up, could I get back up?
I’m used to this, and did it all unemotionally,
Well, apart from the usual trepidity…
Getting back on my feet was painful, a pity,
Cause I stubbed my toe as well, that was shitty!
Then dropped the bloody milk bottle, what a whoopsie!
Cleaned up the mess again, expecting a satanophany!
Instead, I banged my elbow on the drawer, and writ this ditty!
The preparation for escape overall, schmeered,
Is something that is trepidatious and feared.
But have to be, they have to have persevered,
Painful, dangerous tasks have to be furthered,
Here’s s graphic of some jobs needing to be completed…,
This Mornings Palavas
A smidge high, the body temperature today,
Nowt to fret over, it’s often been this way,
The sphygmomanometer gave 168/71… Hey!
Pulse 97 – blimey! Hope they go down, I pray!
Mike Fries CEO Liberty-Global – Virgin Media
Got sorted out, and low and behold,
Onto the computer, and I’ve got all frampold…
Liberty-Global Virgin Internet – went down six-fold!
My view of this crap firm must remain untold!
Or I may pass my anger-management threshold!
So Much For Taking One Of These!
To the Porcelain Throne and on the seat…
Passing the evacuation was an uncomfortable feat!
The runny gooey mess was finally complete…
Had to clean everything; I hope there’s no repeat!
I took the above morning medications…
None of them caused me any addictions!
Stubbed my toe, causing many ululations,
Noticed on the legs, more even vesiculations,
Such is life, full of irritating tribulations!
The prescription toothpaste a bit sour?
Eight dropsies shaving, three in the shower,
New soap today, scented with elderflower?
Dropped the sponge, bent, hit my head, Wowser!
Against the wall box that giveth the power.
Didn’t half hurt; it made me swear and cower!
It was still hurting after over an hour!
Ah, blood runneth from my private region!
Yes, it was from Little Inchies fungal lesion,
I’d not caught or banged it – what’s the reason?
Ointmentating hurt had to have an intermission!
At least the boils on the bum are in remission!
Humph!
Now to apply the Germoloids ointment,
Harold’s Haemorrhoids, ah, now so evanescent,
And the escaping blasts of wind were now conticent,
Oh, that Germoloid, it really is heaven sent!.
Now to use the soothing, mild Germolene cream, On the stomach folds, eases the itching like a dream, Another cream, with results I hold in esteem. Nowt in this product to make me scream… Not like Dakacort, that gives me agony I can’t redeem!m,
Saccades eye drops; next, you know…
I miss target often; it runs down my nose…
Cheek, then though the moustache it goes,
Into my mouth, how it’s not poisoned me, I don’t know?
Ear drops, well, Olive Oil,
No, bother, sweat or toil,
Hello, I’ve just found another gum boil!
Just doing the ablutions nowadays is a droil!
Into the PP’s, and freshened and dressed,
Suddenly felt at my embarrassingly awfullest…
Took me so long to get ready again…
I’d missed the bus; it’s such a pain…
I’d lost my desire a zest…
The bus had gone, too late, what a bain!
I now accept it… I’m going insane!
Part of The Nottingham Lads True Tales of Woe In Rhyme
01:00hrs: Woke, no wee-wee wanted? I was in a somewhat vague haze to start with, just went with the flow… sort of.
Up caught my balance, and off to the kitchenette, and made a brew of Glengettie tea. Then back into the main junk room with the mug, and got the computer on… but not for long, an urgent message from the innards sent in haste to the wet room and Porcelain Throne.
And what an odd session it was! I got settled, and the movement began at the slightest effort from me. It slid out painlessly, undemandingly, smoothly and pretty quickly, too! No signs of a struggle, and absolutely mess-free!
Add to this, that there was no bleeding whatsoever; and for a while, I thought I must still be laying on the uncomfortable, c1968 recliner, and dreaming that this was happening? Amazing!
I got the updating all finished and posted the blog off. Sent the email link. Went on Facebooking catch-up. That cost me two hours, but I do love it so. But today, I have got to get a few templates done, I’ve none left to use!
I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana, and the second call to the Porcelain Throne arrived, and very urgent too! In fact, an embarrassing leakage arrived before I got settled down on the Throne. (Shame and self-loathing time!) The flow was stickier but still painless! Soon over, and left me with a filthy gooey mess to clean up on the floor, Throne and myself! This put me galvanically into Depression Defcon Two-level! Cleaning up again, took me yonks.
The Subconjunctival haemorrhage eye was stingy just a bit, no real pain as such.
I read and replied to some WP comments, got CorelDraw on to upload photos, and then made a strat on graphic creating, for the template making. This is going to be a mammoth job.
First things first, though, a wee-wee, washed and made a mug of Glengettie.
The view from the kitchen window had acquired a beautiful red tinge. So I took this picture of it. Not very good, but of course it was the Canon Camera being used.
I made the tea and used the Evolve Hypromellose eye drops, I had leftover from the last time the blood vessels burst. I struggled just like before to get the stuff into the eye, and lost a lot of it down my face. I wish the hospital people would have told me how to put them in, cause I can’t get the hang of it. I’ll recheck the eye later on, but now, back to the CorelDrawing.
Stretching to use the picker upperer to retrieve a dropped letter, I had a tumble and clouted my head and right shoulder. Henceforth things are using photographs as reminders and details remain sketchy until I seemed to come back as I was making a brew. The intercom flashed, it was the Iceland delivery, that I’d forgot all about coming.
Took the bags through to the kitchen, I do recall being aghast at the green potatoes in the large bog of potatoes delivered, and struggling to get the things the freezer as it meant bending down, which was currently very painful.
Feeling unwell, tired and only really want to go back to sleep?
I think I did some CorelDrawing, but not much is there as I type this, in the morning.
I stopped everything, to go and get the ablutions tackled. But was just not up to it, the head was spinning, the shoulder and head aching, and I just sat down to rest.
Not sure how long for, must have been a few hours or so. I constantly got up, checked lights, windows, faucets etc., I couldn’t get top sleep, and the Thought Storms were rampant, getting no rest at all.
When the door chimes rang out.
I struggled with surprising difficulty to the door, it was the postman, who immediately showed concern over how I looked and inquired if I was alright, “Would you like me to call you an ambulance?”
He delivered a letter and a parcel.
I think Sister Jane rang. All confused.
Just what I needed in the envelope, a multi questionnaire from Nottingham City Homes to be filled in. I’ve already got the two NHS ones, the monthly passing and BP one, and Covid-19 to fill in, and can’t face doing them how I feel, Humph! The box was the Amazon Dettol that the tracker tells me will be here Monday.
I left everything and sat down again, and stayed there for hours, getting up only for wee-weeing occasionally. Eventually nodding off.
I woke about 23:00hrs, feeling horrifically unwell, but not poorly-sick, really. I got some nosh made. Didn’t eat much of it.
Then got the computer on to finish this post, and let the mind stew as it was going to anyway.
02:35hrs: Yet another night of broken sleep patterns. Shame that! Still, needing a wee-wee, and the Vampire Nurse being due to remove my blood early today, I had to rise from the £300, second-hand, c1968, excrescent, horrendously-grungy, beige coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner.
I caught my balance easily enough, and I made my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and painfully rid myself of about three eggcups full of wee-wee, with even more of the stubborn PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) to cope with.
Relieving myself, I got a message from the EQ. It was not a clear one, but sort of mixed signals that didn’t warn me, but rather advised me to absorb what was coming along soon and analyse the situation and make a positive decision. Very vapid and vague, but that what was revealed to me?
I emptied and cleaned the overnight bucket, and hobbled to the kitchen, with Cartilage Cathy’s knee giving way a couple of times en route. I tried to link this with the EQ message, but am sure not connected.
I took the hanging to dry green quilt down from the coat hanger on the rail above the sink. And laid it on the server-trolley, in such a position, that the damp parts, top and bottom, were nearest the wall heater. Cunning eh? I’m mastering this, you know!
I did the Health Checks, starting with the dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer.
The SYS had tumbled down to 145, the first time it’s been those low in many a month?
The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and jolly reliable contactless battery-powered thermometer, looked close to turning into amber from green, showing the body-temperature of 37.2° Centigrade. 98.96° Fahrenheit.
An urgent summoning from the innards to the Porcelain Throne followed. So, I went to the wet room as instructed, without delay. Haha! A good job I did, too!
Only a bit nifty work in dropping everything and getting down on the seat saved an embarrassing situation from occurring! The evacuation started before I’d actually got my rear end settled! The PTDDSB (Porcelain-Throne-Daily-Domination-Stakes-Battle) was won hands down by Trotsky Terence this morning. Constipation Konrad was well beaten out of sight. And messy, it certainly was, the cleaning up afterwards took me ages. Made worse, by the cisterns inability to cope with the mass of the downloaded product. The multiple refilling of the water tank, and my dropping the water jug, and more bending down to sort out the mess, surrounded by the pungent aroma, had me feeling rather drained, pained and mordacious! Tsk! Still, I didn’t mind. Ahem!
After being up for what felt like half a day, I finally got around to updating the Sunday (I do hate Sundays!) blog.
Blessedly, and amazingly, apart from Cartilage-Cathy (who did not affect the typing, only the concentration), and SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley frequently attacking; the other ailments were in a good mood with me. Which meant I got the blog updated in an efficient time scale. Smug-Mode-Adopted, and Smirking with swaying-head, and Satisfied-Smile, that gave way to blooming great laugh, breaking out, too!)
I posted off the IT diary, emailed the link, and went on Facebooking updating. Then went on the WordPress Reader, and answered some comments. I was getting a smidge, worried, with things going so well? I even got the jobs done in time, so no need to rush the ablutions before the nurse was due to,
I had over an hour, to get the shaving-shower etc. done! I put the computer in sleep mode (I wish I could that with me), and off to the wet room.
The teeth cleaning proved no bother! The shaving, only four dropsies, and only two tiny nocks that hardly bled at all!
The showering, well, was brilliant! Only two dropsies, no dizzies, no tumbles, no hitting into anything, Grrreat! Drying off, only the one dropsies; that was the towel – but it did so several times. Hehe!
The medicationalisationing went fair, too! The legs looked a little blotchy, but I think that was due to the lighting in the wet room.
I got some handwashing done and hung above the kitchen sink.
Then, a surprise, a wee-wee. It had been ages since I had one. Not that I wanted to have one, but the changes in the wee-weeing habits seem to change several times a day. Just thought I’d mention it.
I got the waste bags sorted out and stacked up on the trolley-walker in the hallway, with a box of recyclables on the top of the pile.
It’s going to be interesting getting that to the waste room chute. (For interesting, you may consider using ‘risky’. Haha! My plan was to take the small bags to deposit in the waste funnel, the not take the glass and recycling boxes on down to the caretaker Robert’s bins. Next, to call on Ballerina Warden Deana, and ask her to arrange the Covid-19 inoculation for me. A plan…me? Having a plan! Scary!
The intercom rang forth and flashed, and the angelic-looking mask of the Haematology Nurse appeared on the intercom screen. I admitted her and went to get a shirt on quickly because I didn’t want to scare her by making her look at my lardaceous, protruding wobbly-belly. Fairs, fair!
A cheery soul she was, efficient too. She soon had the blood taken, filled the missed-medications form in for me as well. As she was leaving, they are always in a rush. (That or want to get away as fast as possible from me for fear of catching something, Hahahaha!) I asked if she had children a hone, and she said yes, so I gave a boy and girls facemask from the ones I’d bought, mistakenly thinking they were adult ones (Waste not, want not). I’ll find someone today to give the others to.
I got the walker-trolley out into the lift lobby, and down to the far end to the waste-chute room. It was a close call, but UI got there without losing or dropping anything.
Put the nine small bags down the funnel, and I took the empty box back to the flat, then down with the nibble bags, full recycling box, Covid-19 letter and the other two facemasks. I sound almost organised today, don’t I? As I say, worrying innit? Worse with EQ’s cryptic message for the day.
Down in the lift, and met Doris, we fought our way through the lobby that was being done-up. Out and to the bin, left the bag of recyclables, no sign of Robert. Then I carried on to the Winwood Court and the warden’s, Obergruppenfürheress Deana, Reichs Inspekteuress Julie interrogation office.
I handed the bag to Deana and begged her for help with the vaccination paperwork, she told me to sit down in the lobby, while she sorts the dates and times our for me, bless her cotton socks.
Mary was in the lobby, we chatted, but neither of were sure what the other one was saying, made worse by the facemasks.
This reminded me, and I inquired if anyone had kiddywinks at home, but no. Deana came out and said she has got me an appointment for the Covid-Vaccine giving, at 11:10 hrs on Friday 12th February, and the follow-up one on Saturday 1st May at the same time. Both at the Djanology School on Gregory Road near the Forest ground. Which will mean four buses, two, each way, or a taxi both ways on those days, my heads in a daze… She had written the dates down for me to put in my calendar, bless her cotton socks.
I asked if the foot-lady was still open, Deana said no, so that’s the end of my Friday appointment then, Humph!
I thanked her, and as I got outside, I thought I’d take a photo of the note with the times. Just in case I lost it. Ahem!
I walked along Chestnut Way back to the flats.
I met Robert on the way, and I put the glass jars that I’d forgot to do earlier, in the green glass bin. He had kids at home, so I gave him the camouflage and pink children’s facemasks, back up to the flat.
First thing, I put the date and times of the vaccine appointments into the Google Calendar.
Then I got the photos uploaded to CorelDraw to resize and sort them.
I made a brew of Glengettie, and I took this photo on the right, of Chestnut Walk below the flats.
Back to the computer, and updated this blog for a few hours.
Then got the Wax Clearer kit out that was delivered yesterday.
The instructions were far to small to read. I did a search for my magnifying glass, after half an hour or so, I gave up.
I took a photo of the English Translated instructions.
Then also gave up on understanding them, and I got the old soft-screw one out and used that.
A couple more hours updating, and I was feeling shattered, so gave up trying to do any more on the computer.
I made a tasty brew, Glengettie of course, and took the evening medications. (I fact, I found in the morning that I hadn’t imbibed them, when I found the pot of tablets stuck in the folds of my blubbery stomach, Tsk!)
Too tired for owt to eat. Washed and settle in the c1968 recliner, stayed awake to watch Tales of the unexpected, and part of a Kitchen Nightmare episode, and Sweet Morpheus took over at last. Thank heavens for that!
00:30hrs: I woke, and spotted spots of blood on my bulbous, heavily ladened stomach, jammie-bottoms and the recliner arm? I got a tissue to wipe the wound, but it didn’t seem to want to stop bleeding. So, I dismounted the recliner to catch my balance.
The need for a wee-wee caused me to stop en route to the wet room, and I utilised the overnight bucket—a strong effort this morning, of the FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style. I cleaned the knuckle and applied some Germolene. The flow continued, so I had to use some Daktacort on it. That woke me up fully! Argh! But it worked, and the bleeding was stopped completely within a minute or so. It was a good healthy looking deep-red, mind you)
Then I got the jammies, and my red-spotted belly cleaned up. Wide awake now for sure! I got the kettle on, took the medications, and did the Health Checks. The body temperature was just fine again.
I took the morning medications.
Utilising the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, the SYS was down a bit on yesterdays reading, at 163.
I observed that the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) provided monitor, had better readings this morning. Humidity and Room Temperature both nearly in the Green!
I got into updating the Thursday, no, I mean the Wednesday blog. A few hours later, I’d got it finished and posted off. (Somehow, the photo I took of the terrible tasting meal, was lost into the ether from the SD card… again?) I Pinterested a couple of pictures. Then went on Facebooking. Then, I went on the WordPress Reader section – so few new posts came up. Is there a problem? I don’t like the idea of missing some of the blogs. Mmm!
Opened the WP comments, and lots had come in, I like that. I read and replied where I could.
A summoning of me to the Porcelain Throne came from the innards. I didn’t mess about, and made my way to the wet room – musing en route to myself; “What will this visit be like, a Trotsky Terence or Constipation Konrad victory? I got in and sat on the raised seat, and I felt that ‘things’ wanted to activate, but only ‘Phut-phuts’ of wind were managing to escape.
I grabbed the crossword book, in expectation of a struggle ahead. This crossword I was looking at was a lot harder than the others in this book. I’d been stuck on it for days. I got one answer, and I felt hopeful about this, leading to more success, but no!
The motion moved, and a massive ‘never passed one as big in my life’, proceeded to escape. Very little pain, or even discomfort, only at the beginning, not messy, Harold’s Haemorrhoids were not too bothered by the monstrosity and no bleeding from anywhere! 👍 👎 But the sheer volume of the single super-sized, torpedo-shaped evacuated product, convince me that I would have to flush the tank a few times to get in down the tube. I wasn’t wrong! After a couple of refills of the tank and five or six flushes, it was cleared. Phew! I felt all worn out by the time I’d got it sorted, antisepticated the contact surfaces and washed my hands.
04:00hrs: This calls for a good fresh brew of Glengettie. Off to the kitchenette.
I noticed it was not raining, and decided to take a couple of photographs to the left of the window.
The nest one, a view straight down onto the Chestnut Walk car park.
As I was taking the second picture, weirdly it was as if someone had just turned up the volume up on the dreaded ‘Hum’. Grrr! Wikipedia suggest the possible causes as; Mechanical Devices, Tinnitus, Spontaneous otoacoustic emissions, Jet stream, and Animals? One conspiracist blames the Russians, see the Hum Locations below. Hehe!
I got carried away and side-tracked there, sorry.
I got some mushrooms in the crock-pot, and added some Squid vinegar, chilli powder and sea salt, left them to marinate. I’ll turn them on later, providing I remember, of course!
Made a brew of Glengettie, and returned to the computer.
I opened the latest YourArea magazine to see if anything worthwhile mentioning was on it, and the Coronova figures.
Testing stations report said that: 496 People tested positive got Coronavirus in Nottinghamshire in the last 24 hours. It’s all very confusing, and not over yet!
I sorted a little brekkers for myself to nibble. Last of the pork & mushroom pâté, small tomatoes (salted), and the Milk Roll bread last.
Ablutions, next. Off to the wet room. The teeth cleaning was a bit painful, only three dropsies, though. But I’ve had worse.
👎 The shaving was annoying, I had a combined attack from the ailments. Those being, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) and NN (Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters), well three actually, who made sure the dropsies while shaving added up to at least ten! I got fed-up of bending down to retrieve the razor, BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) stinging at me, and then literally involuntarily throwing the razor away again! The picker upperer was utilised after the third dropsies!
👍 A much easier showering session. No banging into anything, no dizzy spells, only a couple pf dropsies, and free of toe-stubbing – Yee-Haa!
The burn on the knuckle was weeping as I dried off, leaking a tiny bit of blood, but nowt serious. The Germoloiding of the piles stung a bit. The embrocating and rubbing in of the Phorpain on Arthur Itis’s knees and Cartilage Cathy went okayish.
The Daktacort application to the fungal lesion was as is usual, damned painful! But it had to be done with the bleeding yesterday. If I missed doing it and it started again overnight, I might be in a medical pickle again in the morning. I’m going to give it another go tonight before I settle down. I shudder at the thought of doing this ailment treatment.
As I was doing the deodorantisationing and looked in the mirror (Some I try to avoid, nowadays!) I spotted what assumed was a bit of fluff from the towel on the top of my head. I tried to pick it, nope, flicked at it, nope, no movement… ran the scrubbing brush over my dome to shift it… then realised it was not a bit of fluff. Hahaha! What is it is a mystery to me? Why and how would a spot appear within a few hours that was not there five hours ago? Mmm?
I just hope that it doesn’t spoil my young, masculine, attractive features that the ladies love so much… Oh, alright, sorry!
I went and sat on the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, uncomfortable, rusty, whiffy, not-working, uncomfortable, rickety recliner, to enable me to use the long shoe-horn get the slippers on.
It was a bit of an awkward manoeuvre, but after some wriggling and fidgeting I got them on. Then felt the of lump underneath the thick quilt that I was sat upon… Oh, dearie me!
It was the wholemeal sliced loaf of bread I couldn’t find last night, Tsk! Nicely crunched up and reshaped now. Hehehe! It could happen to anyone… but maybe not?
I remembered the mushroom marinating (not than I’m sure mushrooms do marinate?), and I got the crock-pot turned on auto.
That is supposed to get it to boiling, then go a keep warm, I think.
I also noticed how my yarmulke was looking a little well worn. So I hand-washed it and hung it for a few weeks to dry, hanging over the sink’s side, on a strainer.
I did another hour or so on the updating of this blog. It was a grind, hard work and frustrating. SSS was the main culprit. Her attacks were all of short-duration but, persistent. I reckon I made more mistakes, and probably missed many them, more than I’ve done for ages.
At one time, as my arm jerked, I got a full screen come up, with warnings galore that I didn’t understand were about, but no option to do anything, Cancel – Close or the likes.
I closed down the internet, and opened it again… things seem to be working? Tsk! Then on CorelDraw, the programme closed of its own accord in the middle of me working on PNG graphic?
I left it a minute or two, and then I reopened CorelDraw, I’d lost all the work done and had to retitle the name to save it… more memory lost! Oh, dearie me!
I felt frustrated, fed-up, flustered, peed-off, het-up, ennuied, woebegone, demoralised, annoyed, stressed out and scunnered! Plumph!
Closed things down, silently cursed under my breath and forced my tired body and wearied mind to get the nosh sorted out and served up.
I’d hoped to share the grapes with Jenny, Doris and Frank, but now so glad I didn’t, needed the bad ones picking out before going on the plate. Eurgh! Still, I enjoyed the cold meal. Taste Rating was 7/10, but each grape had to be inspected before eating it – tow found with fur on them. I’m a lucky so-and-so!
I washed the pots, checked everything was off, lights, stove, faucets etc. and as I was about to go to the recliner to settle down (albeit early, even for me) to search for Sweet Morpheus. I heard a clunk coming from the hallway. It was the NCH Newsletter, and the ‘Lounge Pants’ from Amazon, via the Royal Mail.
I put the magazine on the ottoman, got into the pants and down into the recliner, and turned on the TV. The Thought-Storms invaded within seconds.
Once I dropped off into the land of kip, again I kept springing awake repeatedly, horrible night.
01:30hrs: The flipping ‘Hum’ was giving it some when I stirred back into imitation life. I’d managed about three hours, so it could have been worse – I stayed up late (for me) to watch a football match on the telly. I wasn’t stood on the TV, you understand! Hahaha!
I dismounted from the c1968 recliner, caught my balance, and utilised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), taking a UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety wee-wee, that the same as yesterdays first effort, had a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) I had to wait for ages to finish. The main event, and the after-dribble together, would probably not have filled two eggcups! Taking a wee-wee, without wonderous expectations and puzzling results, are the norm now. Normal bodily functions are quondam. One visit this happens, the next it’s a painful torrent then, a trickling marathon... talk about variety!
I tackled the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boots Sphygmomanometer. That is manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. SYS and dia are a bit high again, Tsk!
The made-in Hong Kong, Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed another in the green reading, of 36.5°c.
Then as I put the kettle on, I espied the moon was out, high in the sky.
I did my best to get a decent photo of it. But had little success at it. I tried taking it in various limited mode available on the little Canon camera, but Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters stopped me every time!
I hung out of the light & view-blocking, thick-framed kitchen window, and took several blind shots because if I’d leant out any further to see what I was photographing, I might have ended up out on the Chestnut Walk myself. Hehehe! I wasn’t too displeased with the second picture.
I took the medications, and I got the computer going to update yesterday’s blog. Apart from some Nicodemus failures making things difficult typing wise, the other ailments were all so good!
Posted it off, went on the WordPress Reader section, comments and Pinterested a few shots. Then went on Facebooking, unsure if anyone was getting the posts or not.
As I readied myself to sort the Calendars, must, don’t want, have-to and belated checks, I noticed how well the bruise near the knuckle was healing. A couple of new scratches had appeared on the wrist and back of the hand? Nowt even approaching serious, though.
The Google Calendar was working again, why it stopped beats me. A busy week ahead already.
I got sidetracked and went on the BBC Sports site to see all of the football results. I had a funny thought, as I read about this result on the right. Manager of Genoa to news reporter: “An easy win, it was Genoa bother at all!” I’m losing it again.
Off to get the Ablutions done early, with the Iceland and Amazon-Morrison being due to arrive first thing.
Oh, and the Snyder’s Ham Mustard and Onion broken Pretzel pieces. At least I think they are pretzels? Huh! I’ve just seen Pretzel Pieces on this photo. Quick, I am not – Keen, not a lot, – Saccades is the blot – I think my brain is shot!
As I got inside the wet room, and it couldn’t have been better timed, even if unplanned, there I was less than two feet away from the Porcelain Throne… when the evacuation began of its own accord! I whipped down the jammie-bottoms and PPs, and plonked my overly-stomached body down on the seat without a second to spare! Harold’s Haemorrhoids paid the price with pain! Then, I wondered if the torpedo would ever end… ‘Blimus I thought’, this whale will block up the whole system!
To my utter amazement, there was only the tiniest bit of bleeding, no mess, and the dumped dollop disappeared from view with one flush! I’m using up all my good luck for the day, I think! Possible the week!
I got the teeth done, again without any undue pain from the molars!
The shaving resulted in only two tiny-little hardly-worth mentioning nicks!
The medicationalisationing, even Cartilage Cathy and Harolds Haemorrhoids were nowhere near as painful as they usually would be!
The drying and freshening up went fine!
I think I must have unknowingly adopted a self-satisfied Smug-Mode because…
As I swanked out of the room to get dressed, I had my worst ever collision with the door frame! I nearly knocked myself backwards! But I stayed on my feet.
I think that Doctor Flewitt could be spot on when he suggested that DCE Developmental Coordination Disorder, or dyspraxia, could be affecting me. Course since then, the Peripheral Neuropathy and Stroke have not helped any, I can’t blame the Diabetes as well. Hehe! (Can I?)
Anyroad-up; by the time,e I regained my balance and finished swearing and spitting, BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and Reflux Roger were both going full-tilt at the Inchcock pain-offering department.
The bottom lip protruded and wriggled a smidge. Well, it’s always worse when something like this happens after a run of good luck, as the ablutions going so well!
I got the blue Made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket on, to fend off the cold, and did the handwashing of the made in China, Cedar Wood Hollow-out Round Neck Acrylic Sweater. I got it done rung and hung!
The moon was tormenting me to try again to get a decent photographicalisation of it. I had three or four tries, but BPB had been joined by SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley in assaulting me on and off, more on than off! Another fine mess of things made, this was the best one I could manage. Sorry about that!
Back to the computer and started, well I opened it, this blog, and the Intercom burst forth and flashed.
It was the Iceland man who cometh (Hehe!) with six bags of nosh for me. He gently threw them down into the hallway for me.
He seemed in a rush, but I insisted on his having a can of Vodka mixer as a thank you. Bade him good luck and to take care in the snow and ice, off he popped.
I heaved the bags into the kitchen, and as I was doing so, I got a message on mobile. I investigated it, and in doing so get another message come in. The first one from Iceland informed me of just two items unavailable on this order. Only two? That was an improvement, thanks, Iceland.
The second was from either Morrisons or Amazon, ah! Amazon indicating the tracker code or address, or whatever you call it.
I got the things stored away, and came across a packet of what should have been fresh Chilli Chicken breast slices, but was Tikka Chicken Breast slices.
Possibly (or more likely) an error on my behalf, I expect. But the packet was frozen solid? Had only three days Eat-before date on the front.
Can I safely eat it when it’s been defrosted? All the writing on the packet indicated it was a fresh (Not Frozen) product? Anyone know, please tell me, thanks.
I got the mushrooms in the slow-cooker with some leeks, potatoes. Added some sea-salt and vegetable Oxo cubes, on a low setting. As I was putting them in, I wasn’t really concentrating, I do a lot that, not concentrating lately, and realised that the ‘fresh’ button mushrooms were also frozen! What’s going on?
Time for a rest, at last, made a brew of Glengettie.
The morning hue was blue, and with the snow covering photographing it I just had to do.
I went out into the balcony to try and get some better shots to view.
The windows would not open at all, they were frozen through! So, back to the kitchenette to see what I could view.
Opened the icicled frosty window, and knocked down yesterdays hand-washing, hanging from the broken, no longer working curtain rails. Picking them up, just annoyed BPB and CC Cathy’s Cartilage.
The sky had now got a tinge of pink on the horizon, compared to ten minutes ago. Beautiful! So worthy of photographing. Glad I did, it didn’t last for long.
I gathered the waste bins in the box on top of the trolley-guide, then collected the glass and jars for recycling. And pondered over what to do if Morrisons do have the loaves of bread and cobs that I have ordered? There was not enough room in the freezer to put them into it? After musing over this predicament for a while, I decided to get rid of some foods from the freezer, as the bread is important (If they arrive) of course.
I rang Caretaker Robert to see if he had a freezer on sight, he said no. Told me to ring Deana, she has one and might have room to take the food. So, I did! They can take some, but she was uncertain if the load I was freeing might be too much. If so, they can be given away to someone in the flats to make use of. She said she would come and collect them later.
I got back on updating this post at long last, but did none of it, as the Amazon shopper sent a message telling me he would be here in minutes! I got myself into a bit of a flap now! Would the driver know where I was? If I went down to take the rubbish to the bins, would I miss the driver’s arrival? I risked getting down to meet him straight away.
Down in the lift ASAP, and met Robert again. The foyer is still being worked in, and of course no heating. I took the bottles out to the glass bin. And the ice nearly had me over, the walking stick was a hindrance in the snow and ice more than an aid.
The shopper man arrived when I was going back inside (Great timing!)
Up we went to the flat, and the chap popped the bags inside the door for me, then need proof of my age. A bit humorous at my age, being asked if I was eighteen, I was 58 years ago! Hehehe!
I took the things through to the kitchen, and I found all the loaves of bread etc. had been delivered! I now needed to make room in the freezer properly. I decided to take the waste bags to the chute, then I loaded the two big carriers onto the box, and decided to take it to Winwood court.
I didn’t take the camera with me, I so wish I had, though. I got out, and into the snow and ice, the trolley got stuck, the trolley and box toppled over as I tried to get it back on course… A reet mess I was in! I
I was rescued by Dean! Humph! I did feel a fool! She took the carriers and walked me back to the flats. Not happy at my trying to walk out in this weather! ♥ Oh, dearie me!
I got back indoors, and I made sure the bread all fitted properly in the freezer. Just! Despite the cock-ups and wrong decisions that I’d made, I now felt calmer and more at ease with things. Having some bread in helped! I plan to make some ham sarnies later, best butter, tomatoes the mushroom and potatoes with them, and a dessert of my choice, I now have a choice of four, different ones in stock. Smug-Mode-Adopted!
Oh, I forgot, Jane rang while I was sorting the freezer out, but she gave up[ trying to get my attention. I thought I’d ring her back, so I did! We had a great natter and chinwag, Pete was doing well. Things were getting brighter… she mentioned something, that reminded me, I had to ring the Doctors about the possibility of a subcutaneous Coronavirus injection. Rudely I said I’d email them now, while it was fresh in my lapsidasicle mind. She understood what I was saying, bless her. ♥
I made up an email, which took me a long time to get how I wanted it to sound. I was moderately happy with it, and I sent it off.
The weariness began to fall on me now. I will have to wait until the Amazon delivered Pretzels arrive before getting anything to eat, else I may fall asleep while waiting. Best laid plans, eh?
My mind is vagarious, to say the least, but an iota of contentment is lingering in there somewhere.
I must stay awake. He says with a smile.
The Amazon ETA for the Pretzels is getting later & later. This is not doing my temper, faith, prospects of staying awake, or suicidal tendencies any good at all! The Amazon tracker, the lorry, hasn’t moved fro over two hours? Still, with the weather, it can’t be helped!
I had a look at the local YourArea Emagazine. Coronavirus figures are not good, but better than of late, fingers crossed in hopes.
The Amazon lorry is close now! Five drops away, the Amazon tracker now says. Belated hope for nosh and sleep yet. Hehehe!
I went down to the front door as the Amazon tracker turned to a local road view and saw the van was outside the flats! On the way out of the door to go down, the chap arrived with the box of Pretzel pieces. I slipped him a can of Vodka and lemonade by way of thanking him, and he shot off, with my masked voice thanking him again.
I opened the box and took a packet out, and put them in a plastic lidded pot, ready to try out after eating. They were apparently a right mix of bit, from dust to some chunks from different products that had broken off during the cooking process, I resisted nibbling any yet.
I opened a 2-litre bottle of spring water, had a good guzzle, and added some orange cordial to the bottle, just a drop, and tool it into the main junk/computer room, for my nocturnal guzzling.
I got the nosh served up, snd it turned out a cracking decent one. A good mix, fancy cheese blocks, Gorgeous pork and mushroom pate, potatoes, mushrooms (not so good), chicken Tikka, mini caramelised onion pork pies, tomatoes (Morrocan, pretty tasteless), some thin-sliced Milk Roll buttered bread, and a lemon dessert, the pot of Pretzels on the ottoman. The mushrooms and tomatoes let it down, but still a taste rating of 7/10.
It was now five hours beyond my usual head-down time. I got the pots washed, and settled to watch a documentary about, erm… what was it? Not that it matters much. Ah, it was Nightmare Kitchens!
I started nibbling the Snyders of Hanover honey mustard & onion pretzel pieces – delicious! In fact, Grrreat!
I lasted a few minutes watching the programme and nodded of in sweet bliss. Unfortunately, I kept making up so often I wondered what the heck was happening? Each time I shot awake, I pondered, and got back to sleep easily enough? Only for it happen again repeatedly. So aggravating!

Sunday 24th January 2021
Welsh: Dydd Sul 24ain Ionawr 2021
00:15hrs: I woke to the smell of burnt food yesterday when the pastie exploded in the oven! Tsk!
As I was fumbling my way out of the second-hand, c1968, recliner, the noise from the damned ‘Hum’ began to get on my wick already! When up and caught my balance, the almost regulatory visit to the bucket was needed. It turned out to be another unwilling, reluctant wee-wee, but gallons of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling) to cope with. Hey-Ho!
I took the medications (Last nights that I’d forgotten), made a mug of Glengettie, and I remembered the Sainsbury order was due today, twixt 06:30 > 07:30hrs. My EQ gave me a laugh! No words, hints or indications. Hmm!
Then got on with the updating of yesterdays diary. It took me over four hours! Due to the ailments, I found it hard to keep on kilter, concentrate and many errors, and much time pondering why I cannot remember things. This was not good, it felt a smidge like my brain was full and needed a good defragging.
Still, I got there in the end, and I posted the blog off to WordPress. Emailed the link, Pinterested a couple of photos. Visited the WordPress Reader section, and then on with Facebooking. It appears I have been banned for 30 days. Something I posted did not meet their terms and conditions. Well, it had to happen!
I had a good read of the WP comments and answered them all, well, both. Josie’s meal to do later, not sure I’ll be up to it, but I anticipate feeling better later on.
I had a stand-up bath of sorts. All went well. Toothache Thomas was kind to me. Only one little nick shaving, no more than six dropsies, no Balance-Loss-Leslie or Dizzy Dennis. BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) were the only ailments really active. Even Harold’s Haemorrhoids were calmish.
As I was filling the sink ready to get the handwashing sorted out, I think I must have had a visit from the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghost, succubuses, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? And they were arriving up the sink waste-pipe! No idea what caused the cloudiness and plug jumping out?
I cleared the blockage with Free-It liquid and got the clothes in the sink to soak.
Got the Health Checks done. Pleased again with the temperature, it was in the green. Then got the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer. It might be sneaking back up, but still. It’s been low for a few days now.
I had a bit of job with the handwashing. Turkish made Socks, Korean jammie-bottoms and the manufactured in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket. I think I spent longer cleaning up[ the spilt water than dong the handwashing! Still, all is done, wrung and hung up drying now.
Back to the computer, and fond an email come from Jenny. She said she had the small crock-pot and would swap it for my too big a one. She also has a kettle I can have. Bless her!
An email came in from Sainsbury’s, no bread being delivered, no substitutes as I opted for not having any. I suppose with it being a Sunday, and so early in the day, I can accept this without moaning. Grumph! Last time when they substituted for my breast, the sent pikelets?!? Then they sent the wrong size PPs! So, I stopped the substitutes. You, (Well, me), can’t win, can yer? That doesn’t make sense?
So, now I have no bread at all! Not allowed out to go to the shops! So I went on Amazon to see if I was allowed a Morrison delivered by Amazon order again yet. Luckily I was, and I got an order in for tomorrow! Of course, if there is any bread on it is the question. The choice is limited on these Amazon food deliveries, but by gum they are quick! With a hopper collecting and delivering, he might pick betterer substitutes? Or not!
I cleared the rubbish bags out of the box on the walker, to use it for the food coming without carrier bags from Sainsbury’s. (Without any bread too!)
I left them in the hallway corner because it’s far too early to take them yet, to the waste chute.
Off to make a brew, Co-op 99 this time. Not as good as Glengettie, but then again, no other tea I’ve ever tasted is as tasty as the Welsh brew.Took this shot of the morning’s view from the kitchen.
The Sainsbury bloke came at 07:20hrs. He put the things in a box and a carrier for me, nice of him. At least there was no bread to get crushed, although he did manage to squash the cream cake, and break some pretzels for me. I’ve ordered some more from Morrisons for tomorrow – and of course, I’m praying that the bread will come. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here! Hahaha!
I got the none foods sorted out. Not a lot of them this time!
Just look at the state of this tine of Chilli-Con-Carne they delivered! Swine! Crapheads! Scumballs! Animals! Gits!...
Sorry, I nearly got carried away there! I can’t see any reason for me being sarcastic… Oh, yes, I can!
Sourdough Bread subbed my pikelets? A 90p tin of Chilli subbed with a £2.29 tin! Leaking bottles delivered, and now a crushed health hazard can! Not to mention an order being three hours late, my phoning them and get a recorded message, part-of which said; ‘You can rest assured that it the delivery is delayed for any reason, we will contact you to inform you!’ Eventually, nearly five hours late the order arrived – the van had broken down – but rest assured as I assuredly did, no one contacted me! Still, it can’t be helped! Huh!
I got the waste bags back in and on the trolley-guide.
Do you see those odd-looking things on the left of the top picture? In case you’ve forgotten what they are: They are jackets and coats… You remember, we used to put them on in winter when we went out, before Coronavirus and the lockdown! Hehehe! I think they could do with some moth-balls and freshener on them, it’s that long since I’ve actually worn any! Grumph!
I got the trolley-guide and bags to the waste-Chute room. I was wobbling a bit en route and back to the flat.
Both ankles were hurting, the toes stinging and, for some unknown reason, I was feeling a bit giddy without any cause for feeling a bit giddy! Haha! I’m pleased, nae, proud to report a total lack of injuries, whoopsiedangleplops or Accifauxpas on this little expedition to the rubbish chute. Smug-Mode-Engaged! I think it was because yesterdays head-clouting us still fresh in my mind – there’s not much else in there today!
As if to prove my point about being all confused today, when I got back to the flat, Jenny had been up and left the kettle and crock-pot outside my door for me. I investigated, but I found the slow-cooker was even bigger than the one I was already getting rid of for being too large for me. I rang Jenny to explain. I thanked her, saying I would return it in a while.
I gathered the crock-pot and added some treats in another bag, and got myself a little lost again as to what I was doing. I can’t multitask nowadays since the stroke. I popped the things down and left them outside Jenny’s door. Came back up to the apartment and got the kettle on.
I made a start prepping the cheesy potatoes feast for Josie. Added some leaks as chives, butter and sea salt with the masses of red Leicester cheese.
I noticed that the carrier with the bar of Frank’s favourite chocolate, and some other bits inside it, meant for Nora and Jenny, was still there on the server tray? What had I done now! I could not find the kettle Jenny had left me. Had I took it back to Jen’s? Had I put it down the waste chute? Oh, dearie me! I popped down with the treats bag, and I returned all confused with myself. I rang Jenny again, but am not sure what we agreed on or said.
To help clear my head, I opened the window to take some photos of the snow.
By gum, it was cold out there!
The light snow was being blown about, and of course, lots came in as the wind changed! (I’m such a lucky so-and-so!)
I had to clean the floor afterwards. Which did not please BPB at all.
Time to get Josie’s meal served up. Some Baby Belles, a can of Pimms, two well in date pots of dessert added to the tray. I tried a spoon or two of the cheesy spuds and even impressed myself, they tasted very morish. Of to Josies, dead on time, as usual, she was going out to the bin.
She just seems to forget every Sunday. Hehehe! Bless Here!
Still, she seemed happy enough with the meal.
I had an extended period on this blog.
Weariness-William arrived. The brain was getting a little muddled, but that is par for the daily routine nowadays.
Got the nosh started; Chillie Con Carne, added leeks, red peppers and garden peas.
Doing an Iceland order, I rang Jenny about the Iceland brand minced beef she said was tasty and not fatty. On the site were five different ones, she soon had me sorted on which one to get. With them being on offer, 4 for £10, she agreed to share them, they are coming on Wednesday.
The snow started flaking again as I prepped the meal. The local lads were out with their sledges, folks walking their dogs in this view I took, took me back reminiscing. Was it really all those years ago when it was me out there, totally unbothered by the weather or health problems?
I found the lost yesterday, bread thins – I’d put them in the medical draw! Aha! I thought, bread to have with the Chillie, Hurrah! I opened the half-pack and found I might have been wrong about the Thins being the ones lost yesterday, after all. They had a ‘Use-By’ date of December the something. So, no bread for the Chillie, then. Humph!
I served up the nosh! One of my best, and tastiest CCC’s ever! I’d added some potatoes with having no bread. It was a smidge too hot pepper-wise, but I really did enjoy this one, a reet-treat! Flavour Rating given was 9/10!
Put the pots to soak in the sink bowl. I got the Heartbeat DVD on again, then as I put the TV on, I realised the BBC showed the Man Utd v Liverpool Cup match, so I watched that instead. Not a good choice; The wrong team won, it made me so late in getting to sleep and ruined my nocturnal rejuvenating rest! As for getting into the land of Nod, Huh!
The mind showed signs of ecdemomania, refusing to stop, rattling on worrying about things at random. Thus getting to sleep proved difficult, by the time I nodded off, it was almost my usual getting up time! Gragglespitgurgle!
23:20hrs: It’s getting back to normal now; I woke up, involuntarily passed wind, and needed a wee-wee. Accompanied by the almost ever-present SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley), and near-agony from BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda).
Getting my humungously large bellied-body from the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, not-working, uncomfortable, rusty, rickety, recliner, had its moments. I did the catching the balance motions a little differently, to try and avoid the pain from BPB, and ended up slumping back down in the seat, which annoyed Harold’s Haemorrhoids at a bit. On the bright side, I missed hitting the arms of the chair, or it could have been a lot worse. Tsk! Cartilage Cathy’s patella wasn’t happy with me, either!
I utilised the ONWWB (Overnight-Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket) Cripes, what a difference, it was of the LPPPS (Long-Powerful-Persistent-Peeing) mode. I’ve not moved so much in many a month. No way could I have drunk that much since the last wee-wee, last night? It took me ages, but there was no PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling).
I adopted my investigative-mode to try to work out why I was running short on the Codeines. I decided that I must have identified the wee small tablets wrong, and I’d taken two Furesomide, which means I’ve missed either a beta-block or Codeine. (The medications last month arrived without any inner lids, and they all fell out all over the place, and retrieving them was a nightmare, even worse the three tablets mentioned all looked the same to me), Glibblebonks!
I must remember to thank the super-efficient Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, next to the pub, near the launderette and Lidl store, for their care, professionalism and compassion that they have shown to me.
I tackled the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometerisationing. The Sys was down from 168 to 168 this time. Not a lot, but better than being up? The Pulse was down from 97, to 92.
The new Chinese made, Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed a reading of 36.8°c. Which shows as being in the green, as acceptable! Compared to yesterdays reading of 37.5 in the red, it is a good one.
Took the medications, dubious as to what I was taking. I’ve had six wee-wees and two small mugs of tea up to now between all these activities. The wees seem to be getting weaker, and less volume, on each one.
I made another brew and took pictures of the view, through the disliked, hard to clean, light & view-blocking kitchen window. Look a tad eerie, don’t they?
These could possibly be used as a thriller, mystery or scary book cover. Hehe! I made a graphic for the diary top, then made another brew, had another wee-wee, and got on with updating yesterdays blog, which took an inordinately long time – but the result of a silver-lining search about this fact was that apart from SSS having a ball trying to dislocate the shoulder, the reason for my delay, was just a lack of concentration… again!
I stopped to make another brew of Glengettie, and had, wait for it, two wee-wees, one after the other?
Got the tea back to the computer, and pressed on and finally got the updating finished. (Phew, worra job that was!)
Made yet another mug of tea, Co-op 99 this time, and hard to believe, but I had another weaker wee-wee!
I posted the blog and email link off. Went on the WordPress reader. Then on Facebooking catch-up. Which I caught up with. Hehehe!
A wee-wee, and yet another mug of Glengettie. Took this photo, of the view, and decided to get the Ablutions done. After yet another wee-wee, that had now died down to a UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) variety. Which did surprise me a bit, cause I was still taking in too much tea!
The full-Monte today. And things went swimmingly on all fronts. (Which is surprising with me being a bad-luck lad, and an aquaphobic) No stubbed toes, no… I say, No shaving cuts! Fair does, Dizzy Dennis called on me a few times in the shower. But overall, a great session. Smug Mode Grade2 adopted! Anyway more good news, the plates and pions were looking fine!
As soon as I left the wet room, a (what proved to be a series of) involuntary right leg Peripheral Neuropathic Schuhplattler dances started. I was close to going over on two occasions as I recall. I clouted my hip on the edge of the doorframe. The shaking of the leg was on and off for about three hours after that. I’ve never had it last that long before. Still, it calmed down in the end, back to the odd little flutters and kicks, which look far worse than they are. Hey-Ho!
Then, back to the wet room, to medicate the areas in need, that for some reason I’d not done earlier. I took the clothes with me to change into after the medicationalisationing was done. And the landline rang and flashed!
Jane and Pete, Jig-Saw Puzzlers supreme
It was Sister Jane, she said she’d ring back and give me time to get dried and dressed. Bless her. We had a great natter when she rang back. I learnt a lot from it; I’m eating too much and the wrong food, should not have Squid sauce with anything but fish, and other gems. Hehehe!
Pete was at the City hospital to get his test results from his second bone marrow testing. He deserves a bit of luck, just for how he’s handled things since the Big C was diagnosed.
The left arm was getting attention from Colin Cramps, we were on the phone that long. I foolishly changed to the right hand, but SSS’s cunningly sudden attack made me drop the phone despite taking care! I banged the right knee trying to catch the handset, and then I had Cartilage Cathy to contend with, Tsk! We still nattered on, though, I was enjoying it. Until the pain of holding the phone with the bent arm, got too much. She was expecting Pete to return soon, and we agreed to give up our repartee.
I made up some waste bags and took them to the rubbish chute. Returned and getting the three-wheeler in the flat, backwards cause it’s usually easier, I caught my ankle bone against the door edge. I recall saying something like, “Well, blow me!”, as I laughed off the incident, as the right leg went into a mini-dance routine, and I hit my toe against the bottom panel. Luckily, me being a heroic man of phenomenal bravery, I was not bothered in the least bit, of course! Ahem!
I stopped crying, as the door chimes rang forth with Dusty Springfields tune to “♫I only want to be with you!♫
It was ILC, Desktop dancer and Warden, Obergruppenfürheress Deana. I asked her if she could ring the Chemist or Doctor’s for me, to get the prescriptions back into packets and not the pill-pods, I know it will mean more struggling for me to make up my own dosage pots, but at least I won’t be running short of medication missed off by the super-efficient Carrington Pharmacy, 343-345 Mansfield Rd, Carrington, Nottingham NG5 2DA, next to the pub, near the launderette and Lidl store, and have no lids to allow the tablets to spill all over the place and get lost! Deana told me it was time to take down the Christmas cards, so I did. I took this photo earlier to remind me to ask her, cunning, eh?
I forced her to take some New Year pressies, and she told me to remind her to ring the chemist – Hahaha! Me? Remember?
I rang Jenny and forgot why I was calling her! She had ordered me some minced beef, tp be delivered Sunday afternoon, bless her. I’m sure she will not wake me if they come after 15:00hrs, I can fetch them on Monday morning, I hope. I bothered her to help because the Iceland ones are not very nice, and despite claiming less than 10% fat, looked greasy to me when cooked, a lot of colouring went into the grinder with the meat and fat.
Well shattered now, I’ll try again to make a meal that I can eat all of.
I burnt the peas, made a right mess of the saucepan, and spent ages soaking and cleaning it. Tsk!
I was originally, going to have a steak slice, but I had to make do with the Morrison substituted chicken and bacon pie. Didn’t find or taste any bacon in it, mind. The Leicester cheesy potatoes came out alright. The Spanish tomatoes were not too bad for once. The specially-burnt garden peas tasted fine! And, the lemon dessert went down a treat.
All in all, a flavour rating of 7/10, I think the taste buds are reactivating, perhaps, maybe, possibly.
I got the pots washed, and finally got the saucepan cleared of the black bits. Good and early, I got down in the c1968 second-hand recliner and got the TV on, Law & Order programmes to watch.
The first one, I must have nodded-off eight or nine times at least, but only for a few seconds or minutes each time. I decided to give up on the telly, and get my head down properly…
Not only did I not have any Thought-Storms, but I drifted off quickly, and the best bit… I stayed in the land of slumber for five-uninterrupted hours! Grrreat!
22:50hrs: On the reactivation of my brain cells, I found myself in a semi-confused state of mind. I soon started to identify the ailments that were in an active, destructive mode and mood!
The guilty ones were; BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda), Duodenal Donald and KCC (Kneecap-Carilage Cathy). I got the feeling that Anne Gyna may soon be joining them, the slight tingling sensation around the chest gave this away. It proved so as well, by the time I’d nudged the horrendously large and flabby over-bellied body from the recliner, and got myself stood and balanced – she was in full flow, giving me some stick!)
There was not much spark in my thoughts (or body) this morning. But I was feeling less down than I was yesterday. The regulatory wee-wee was taken. But not of the weak unwilling variety as yesterday, this one was of the PSSP (Persistent, Short, Sharp, painful) mode, as were the next five of them over the next hour!
I robotically got the medications taken and did the Health Checks. When I found it was time to start using the medications from the sorted-out pill-boxes that had no lids one them and I’d put in the old pots. My mind became more concentrated. I took the morning medications and made up the night one in advance; crossing my fingers that I’d identified the differences twixt the Codeine, Furesmomide and Beta-blockers, that all look the same to me.
Although the Boot’s Chinese made Sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading way too high, it way much lower than these last three days. Which was a relief)
The Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer was also down a smidge, and back into the Safe-Green’ zone at 36.7°c. So, two bits if good news in a row there?
The tea didn’t taste right to me, and at first, I thought maybe the milk was going off. I dished the cold mug and made another, but the milk seemed fine, and it had another three days of shelf life on it? I’d made a brew of 99 tea this time, it has a sort of dryness in the flavour to it, but this also tasted different from me?
Then it dawned on me, worryingly… My recent loss of taste, the shivering, the high BP, and yesterday’s coughing could indicate having the Covid thingy? And, I’ve been napping a lot more, and getting tired earlier in the day? No, better not fret, it’ll be a cold that’s all.
Taking the tea to the computer to get the updating done, proved to be a bot farcical. I’d done the right thing and used the more reliable left arm to carry the mug. I walked carefully through the doors, slowly as is usual, to avoid hitting into anything on my dodgy distance judgement right-hand side; really taking my time.
And Shaking-Shaun attacked! I stood a moment as the tea ran down my pyjama legs, and the bruise on my toe where the mug landed, began to sting a bit, I exhaled some air, stuck out my bottom lip, and felt a little like crying, at first!
But no! Within seconds a Siver-Lining came to me! I was flabbergasted to find that the delicate China mug was not broken, not even cracked! This cheered me up for some reason, cheered me up, revitalised my spirits, and galvanised me into realising that I am a lot better off than so many others. Things seemed to get lighter in my mind! And a touch of guilt at getting down in the first place. Even when I hit my head against the bookcase when cleaning up the mess, struggled up with BPB stinging away, there was no suppressing my (no doubt temporary), uplift in my attitude. It brought me back to being me! (I just reread this paragraph, it seems a bit heavy? It was how I felt, though!
I got the sorting-out done and took one extra codeine tablet (BPB and the head clouting) As I got on the computer, the Hum was growing louder, and that noise, like a machine or motor starting up from somewhere higher in the building, sounded. But this did not bother me, I realised that I am lucky to be here, to hear it! (Some deep stuff flowing on the keyboard, here?)
Onto CorelDraw, I did a graphic or two for the future templates, of some Thoughts.
Then on to updating the Saturday post. Which, thanks to Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun and Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters being kind to me, did not take too long at all today. SSS was doing her best to cock things up, and she had moderate success. Can’t win em all!
After a quick look at the emails, I found the latest Covid figures, I sent the blog to WordPress, emailed the link, and Pinterested a couple of photos. Then, onto Facebooking. This took a long time, but the TFZer site is a pleasure.
The wee-wees were slowing down (frequency-wise) and had changed mode into a PSS (Persistent, Short, Sharp) mode, with each one showing CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble). Variety be the spice of life?
Went on the WordPress Reader, some fantastic nature photographs posted today. Then read the comments, and replied. Lots in today, so that cheered me up, too!
I collated the last few days of the Boot’s made in China Sphygmomanometer SYS results, photographs. 178, 184, 189, and this morning down to 169, which is of some comfort, although still too high. I have a nurse coming tomorrow to do the blood tests, I’ll see what Monday’s results are like, and show them to her and ask her advice on whether to fret or not. Hehehe!
Back onto CorelDraw to get some day-of graphics done.
Five hours later, Humph! It was time to get the ablutions done, so I will have time to get Josie’s meal done in time. Not that she’ll be ready, she’ll be on the phone to her sister. Hahaha!
Back in a while. TTFN…
I went to the kitchenette to clean the tea mug. A few bits of snow had fallen, but it seemed to be clearing already.
Ablutions Report: Well, when I got in the wet room, I saw the stains on the shower floor, and set about having another go at lessening them. I sprayed them with the cleaner and left them to soak while I did the teeth and shaving.
The teeth cleaning went well. The Nasal-cleaning, there was a speck or two of blood, but I suspect that this is from the burst blood-vessel in my left eye. The shaving created only two tiny nocks on the chin. All good really!
Then I got on my knees with the scouring pad, and I gave it some elbow trying to clean the marks on the floor. Not successful, but I think I made a slight impression, then again when I looked it was all steamy, Hahaha!
Getting back up again, I did manage to clout my right knee on the sock-glide, and poor Cartilage Cathy let me know she was not happy about this!
The showering has not gone so well for ages. No Balance-Loss-Brian, Dizzy Dennis, SSS, or Accifauxpas attacks! A definite Smug-Mode engaged!
I was well-pleased with how good the plates and pins were looking.
As I got preparing Josie’s nosh, I seemed to turn into an industrious-mode? I planned everything to be ready at the same time, used the little timer, too! (dropped it twice, it’s a miracle it’s still working!) Made-up some waste-bags in between tweaking and checking the cooking.
Everything was done and served up. And delivered at the agreed time of 12-Noon! Spot-on the dot.
Josie answered the door and seemed pleased with what she saw on the tray. That’s good enough for me!
Back in the rubbish tip… I mean, flat, and got the washing up done. Those cheesy-mashed-potatoes don’t-half stick to everything. All washed and dried, well not one of the saucepans that I’d missed or forgot about. I found that later on with some peas I’d left in it. Tsk!
I took the bags to the rubbish chute, no signs of life to talk to. (Which is probably an advantage for any poor sod, when I start rattling away!)
Then nipped down in the lift to drop some bits off for Jenny, Doris and Frank. Back up to the 12th-floor and home to the flea-pit. Again, not a soul was seen, let alone one willing to let me natter with them. Hahaha!
When I got on the computer, the coughing started again, a bit of a sore throat now, as well. Booted up the computer, and as I did, the rumblings and agitational gurgling started from within. I anticipate rushing off to the Porcelain Throne shortly.
I was happy with the Graphic progress that I’d made—still, a lot more to get done yet, though. I’ll give it another bash before the ‘After-Twelve’ weariness arrives.
Managed to get two done before the eyes started drooping.
I must get some nosh sorted out… Oh dear, The innards are getting overly active with the grumblings? (But nothing happened) Again, hunger was not there. I recently opted to have some tasty Marmite sarnies, and Frazzles, the thought of the tasteless, or rather odd-tasting fodder. I dug out some sweet-tasting stuff sides, but it was a disaster. The Marmite Sarnies and Frazzles I could taste reasonably well. But the sweet stuff, after one bite of each, ended up in the bin.
The innards still seemed to be brewing-up inside, as I washed up and got my head down in the c1968 recliner, put the TV on, not that I saw any of it, for Sweet Morpheous blessed me, and I was off into a deep sleep, with the headphones and glasses still on, within minutes!
A couple of hours later, would you believe it? The unwanted door chimes rang out, repeatedly! It seemed whoever was there was in a rush and keen to get my attention, which they did!
Getting up half-asleep, the glasses and headphones pulled off of my head and fell down somewhere. I fumbled for the spectacles, and the chimes persistently continued.
Now I thought there might be a fire on the floor or something else dangerous, and balance all awry I got to the door ASAP. Guess who it was? Josie returning the cutlery plate and tray from her meal!
I was so, well, angry that she would do this again to me! This emotion dissipated almost immediately after thinking it. I felt guilty, she always does this! No matter that I beg her not to, and tell her the hassle it causes. I’ve said to her repeatedly; ‘Please do not call me after three o’clock, unless it’s an emergency’. But realised she does not mean to, her memory is worse than mine, bless her.
Frustrated, but no longer irritated, I bade her farewell, dropped the things in the kitchen, and mounted the recliner, in search of Sweet Morpheus. Who of course was pissed-off with me now, and refused to play ball for hours before I eventually drifted off. At least I got several hours of kip in, but it was fragmented. (Is that the right word?)
23:45hrs: I woke wanting a wee-wee. Fought my way out of the recliner, caught my balance and to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket). For what turned out to be a worryingly wearying, and debouching, in a trickling long-winded style. At least there was no PMPD (Post-Micturition Pre-Dribble) or PMAD (Post-Micturition After-Dribble).
I had a rare headache, but only behind the left eye?
Remembering it was the first of January, I got the camera, but the Nikon would not display the view in the screen? So I fetched the little Canon one. Got the kettle on and awaited the fireworks to celebrate the new year to start.
The eager beavers started firing them a minute early, not that it matters. The second shot I took, came out as one those artistic ‘Let’s pretend we did it in purpose’ ones, Hehe! I might be able to use that one for a background graphic later? I’ve still got the Vespa Bazooka ones to use, no rest for the wicked.
I was a smidge disappointed at the resulting pictures. But I was, even more, let down, when the entertainment finished so soon. Last year, I think I was at the window for over half an hour, this time, ten-minutes if that long.
I got the medications taken, and Health Checks completed. And with two unwanted surprises. The sphygmomanometer’s SYS reading was at 184. What? I hope I last until Monday when the nurse arrives to take the blood for the Warfarin test.
Then the Chinese made Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading came out as 37.5°c. I thought it was a good one, but the background turned to red, as a warning that it was too high? A bit worrying this is. I checked on the NHS site for Coronavirus symptoms and got this snipped from the site.
Another NHS Coronavirus page said if your temperature if above 38.7°c. Some confusion to start with; the page above says you do not need to measure your temperature? I’ve no new coughing. I think I should be alright though, although I’ve anosmia, it’s been this way for weeks now. Hey-Ho!
Onto the computer, and got the pictures uploaded. Another trickling wee-wee, a mug of tea, and started to update the Thursday blog. I pressed on regardless (I’m getting better at editing and correcting mistakes now, I just wish I wouldn’t make them in the first place, Haha!) Three more wee-wees, and another two hours and I got the blog finished.
WordPress Reader visited. Emailed the link. Pinterest some snaps. Went on Facebook updating, then on WP Commenting. Another unwilling trickle of a wee-wee, then I made a start on this blog.
Got a message on my Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W – Qi Battery… Well, similar anyway. Hahaha! A nurse will be calling next Monday to take my blood. Bless ’em!
Got some late brekkers/snack sorted out. Too tired to bother with much, so bunged a brown part-baked baguette in the oven for ten minutes, and I lathered it in Marmite! Added a bag of Marmite flavoured crisps. Enjoyed it, too! Flavour 7.6/10. The sound like machinery booting up then dying as heard more than once while eating.
Jenny phoned, wish Happy New Year, bless her!
I became so weary again, and early on, too. But had no option other than to get my head down. Sleep took many hours being attained. The Thought-Storms seemed determined, slow, and illogical.
I woke a few minutes after nodding off, realising as I did that I had not taken the evening medications, but was too reluctant to get out of the c1968 recliner, for fear of not getting back to sleep… Zzzz!
