Sad, innit? Hehehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I stirred into ersatz life around 0315hrs, in need of a wee-wee. By the time I’d caught my balance and was up on my feet grabbing Metal-Mickey, another need arose, that of the , and I made my way to the wet room,
I managed to give my right big toe a stubbing of excellent quality, pain-wise. On the end of the open door from the front room. Dropping Metal-Micky, which knocked a photo off of the corner unit and broke the glass of the frame!
I just had to sort the mess out there and then. I had a terribly hard job picking up all the glass while hoping and praying my efforts would be successful in containing or retaining the torpedo that was getting anxious to be freed!
I got it cleaned up, the photo back loosely in the frame. With Back-Pain-Brenda giving me some gip, I dare not hobble in the usual fashion, so I shuffled as speedily as I could manage to the awaiting closet.
Got into the landing position for the seat, dropped the stick, and then whipped down the jammie bottoms and PP’s in one go; and plunk! I’d not even hit the plastic before the evacuation began.
After a few seconds, there was a worrying hold-up that needed some input on my behalf to get things moving again. Once I got through that snag, things went smoothly again and were not as painful as usual. A few specks of blood from Harolds Haemorrhoids, I reckon, the blood, what bit there was of it, did not have runniness that Little Incies Fungal Lesion shoots out.
The hot water was running better today. Still not like it used to be, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Made up two waste bags; most of the contents were from last night’s farcical series of & last night when I was making the worst ever mess of cooking an uneatable meal. I cringed when I wrote that, remembering all the mistakes I made doing it! I got Richard’s treats ready, not those in the fridge, too early.

Got the computer on, and the mind did it again… I had to sit there, totally incapable of gathering my thoughts or concentration. This happens now and again; I thought maybe it did last night when I was making the meal?

Notwithstanding, within a few minutes, the problems started with WordPress. It would not show the comments on the site page again. Which meant going through the comments tag, which offers no ‘Like’ button, and I always like to use that. Humph!

Scam Text!

Around 05:00hrs, I got sa message on the mobile. An odd hour to get one of these, I thought… I heard the new louder tone I’d selected the other day, but could I find the phone? No! Well, not for what seemed like an hour of searching for it, Hehehe! I eventually gave up, and when I got back to the computer after searching each of my three rooms and clothes in the hallway, and knocked the pen off of the desk, got the picker-upperer to retrieve it and – spotted the phone in my slipper? Why I didn’t look there first, I don’t know… Hehehe! I’d love to know how and why it ended up on the slipper. But it will remain a Dementia Doreen’s secret, as a part of the mysteries and enigmas of Woodthorpe Court! The ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodemons, apparitions and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for me to create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare, worry and baffle me!
I was so annoyed when I opened the message; It was one I’d been having for a year or two. ‘You have been in contact with a confirmed Covid case. Ring this number…’ Grrr! Scammers!

Arrived, looking a little weary the lad was. But we chatted away merrily… well, some of it wasn’t so merry. I told him of my frustration at WordPress not allowing me access to the comments and told him the problems it gave me.

He tried to help as best he could in between his yawnings. But between us, we got more lost with it. Hehehe! Gave him his treats; if anyone deserves them, Richard does. He always goes further in trying to help than any other Carers do. Bade Richard farewell, and I made a brew of Glengettie. There’s a story to this mug of tea: I put the kettle on and saw I was low on teabags in the caddy. So, went into the cupboard to get some more Glengettie out to fill the caddy. And found two tea bags that had fallen at the back. They were round ones, so not Thompsons. They had to be Glengettie, Co-op 99, or J Sainsbury extra-strong. Funny, how can one get distracted by little pointless things like this? I thought I’ll use one now, but it fell to pieces as I picked it up – Gawd, I thought, how long has that been there? I sniffed the other one, which smelt like a Glengettie to me, and made a brew with it; I’ll know by its taste. It was a Glengettie! Amazing how long they last, innit? Lost none of strength or bitterness that is usual with Glengettie. Just thought I tell yer…

Got the Tuesday blog finished and posted. Then made a start on today’s Ode. Got it finished and doctored, then got carried away, adding to the ode-word list… I can’t help it; I love words.

The ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune rang from the doorbell. I thought it might be Josie bringing the Sunday lunch tray and things back; thank heavens she’s not left it till later and woke me up again. But no, it wasn’t Josie! I opened the door, and there were some homegrown tomatoes on the floor… which had to be Jenny donating to me.
Always have a tangy taste bite to them, these that Jenny gives me. She knows I love them. Bless her.
I checked on the condition of the sourdough bread from yesterday.
I immediately, and that’s fast for me; I decided to have the bread, well buttered, and tomatoes for lunch… tea or dinner… maybe supper today.

I was late again in getting the done. This could have been that with doing them late yesterday and the graph going into the amber, I’d subconsciously left it late again? I got out the thermometer and started sphygmomanometerisationing.

Well, it was only a thought. Hehehe!
Back up to the danger reds level two, Hypertension stage.
SIA 169, DIA 75, Pulse 78 or 8, and the Body Temperature at 3.34°f.

This up and down is bothering me a smidgeon. I did mention it to the Doctor  I got no suggestions or instructions. In fact, I got no response at all.
It’s being so popular that’s keeping me going, you know! Haha!

I’ve started to keep a new record of the once-daily readings on Excel. It doesn’t look too good, just the two in the green
results over four days. Mmm! Hehehe! It’ll change soon; it always does; you watch, then a day or two later, it’ll shoot up again.

Time to get the bread and tomatoes prepared, methinks.
Bootiful clouds out there when I was slicing the tomatoes, slicing and buttering the bread and getting some chips in the oven. Luckily I have several plasters to pick from when I cut the finger.

I got the chips in the oven and spread some imitation butter on the slices of sourbread. Cut the tomatoes and went to do a J Sainsbury order for next week… but… Hard to believe, I know.

Obviously, Liberty-Global, Virgin Media supremo Mr Fries, has not managed to go four days without the signal going down. Still, as long as he gets his paltry salary of $23.6 million a year, plus bonuses and an expense account, why should he be interested in his customers? You must admire the man’s chicanery, thaumaturgy, figure-shuffling, slithery sidestepping and number-crunching. That somehow fools his bosses that he knows what he’s doing. I hate him, but I’m still jealous of the con-man supreme.

Got the fodder on the tray with a pot of lemon mousse, and I gobbled it all up without any bother. Mind you, it was a small meal for me. Purposely of cause, you see, as a part of my new diet regime. I am determined to lose weight by hook or by crook. I’m dedicated to it…

Two came tonight. Neither rang the door chime again. I mentioned this to both of them. I explained why, calmy, to them again why I wanted them to; “I could have been changing blood pants or taking a wee-wee; had I been doing either, the chime would have alerted me and given me time to stop you walking in and causing me embarrassment, you see?” I’m not sure it got through, and the new Carer seemed annoyed as if I’d told her off, saying We can’t get in your key safe. Well, the door wasn’t locked anyway? The regular gal was okay about it.

The hot water was still as hot as it used to be? Teggies did first, then the shaving – most cautiously. No more chunks of teeth fell off, one… I say…ONE tiny cut shaving, no dizzies, leg dances or banging into anything in the shower session! Brilliant!

Coming out from the ablutionalisationing, I went A-over-T on the towel airer! Clouting my head in the door on my way down. That’ll teach me to go into Smug-Modes! I’m going to try and stop going into them for a bit.

The view from the kitchen window was fantastic. Bootiful! That strip of light has been showing on clear nights for says now.

I put the computer on to see if Mr (Smoke & Mirrors) Fries crap Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet service was back online – it was, but it ran relatively slow.

Back on the computer, and I updated this blog. Doing rather well at it, actually, for once. However. a . I finished my bottle of spring water and went to fetch tonic water from the kitchen. The view outside was now to me. Magnificent!

After a couple of further hours, I’d nearly finished this blog and was ready to check for errors – Hahaha! Why do I bother? I always miss a load of mistakes in every blog, anyway!

Gave me a short concert of clumps. Followed by a couple whirling noises… ending with a solid thud. I’d love to know what he’s making at this time of night… a drinks cabinet, mayhap? Hahaha!

Humph! Got the checking of the blog finished. I checked three times and found something wrong each time – I will not try again.

Hello, more sounds from Herbert above… I think I’ve worked out what he’s up to… I wonder who the man or woman is with him?

Morning all!

WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The normal nodding off and waking up in a semi-panic, what felt like every few minutes, went on for hours. Eventually, I woke up in a rather desperate and sudden need of a wee-wee!
I fumbled about to get to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) in time... Embarrassment and self-hatred all at the same time… I failed to make it! The main reason was the discomfiting . Which came on before I’d got the PPs down… so that was a good thing. Even better was the way with which the Comfort pants contained the leaking liquid. Had I got the PP’s down before it came, I would have been in an even bigger mess! I clasped the lower regions and somehow got to the wet room with the wooden walking stick, and I used the WC. Despite the bladder letting me down again, I found some appreciation in how the PPs coped with it. I was pleased that I changed to these Depend pants now, more than ever. While cleaning things after taking the tinkle and refreshing my body, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. As I sat, alternating between trying to do the crossword puzzle and counting the cracks on the ceiling, as I awaited the cement inside to move, I realised how late it was! 06:45hrs!
Bit of panic then. I’d got s Sainsbury order coming this morning, twixt 06:00 > 10:00hrs, so I may miss it if I’m stuck sat on the Throne when it comes!
I foolishly, mayhaps, tried to force things along with all my might. Once it did start to move, it was swiftly over but so painful. And poor old Harold’s Haemorrhoids were bleeding badly, externally and internally. However, now having some Germoloid to hand, I could clean things up again and ease the stinging. Which I hastily did.
I tried the water taps again on the sink to see if the promised repair would provide me with hot water. Nope, just the tepidness once again.

By the time I’d sorted, washed and got dressed, leaving the door open in case the intercom rang, Richard, came in. He was in a rush again, but that did not stop the lad when he heard my tale of the hot water from calling the maintenance to get someone out yet again to look at it. Bless him.
Just before he left, the intercom rang, and I asked him if he wanted to wait to get the treats that were on the order. No, he had to go, up to the neck in it. Fair enough. Tanked him as the delivery was arriving.
I got the goods checked and returned some podded peas that had a sell by today tag on them. The brown sourdough loaf looked tasty – not to make sure there are no sliced fingers. Hehe!

The flowers for the wardens were what I’d call rustic yellow and red. Got some strawberries for them and chocolates, only need to add some cans of plonk. I rang Deana, but no answer; it might be a little early yet? Burgers for Richard.

Which I did.
Glad they had the Germoloids in stock. They didn’t have any of the Parmentier potatoes, Huh! I got stuff stored away, and I intended to get the Health Checks sorted out. Tried calling Deana again to tell her the nibbles had arrived, no reply.
Made my first brew of the day, a mug of Thompson’s Punjana. I forgot about doing the blood pressure and called Warden Julie, and I told her of the goodies ready to collect. Then, I got on the computer to update and post the Monday blog. The tea had gone cold. So I went to the kitchen to make another mashing.
In came Julie, quickly followed by Deana. I missed out on a natter cause they were talking between themselves, and I could not hear what about. Spit! I think I told them about the hot water.

Was busy making something mechanical, noisily.

It seems the hot water problem the Nottingham City Homes Maintenance could not solve has been passed on to a company called T&S.
Not that this chap could solve it for sure.
When I asked him what the problem was, he was honest enough to tell me he had no idea. all the tests he carried out showed it should be working properly. The only thing he’d changed was the thermostat, and he turned it up a smidgeon.
Well, three hours later, the water was indeed hotter. Nothing like as hot as it used to be, though, but I should be able to have a shave and shower in the morning.

What happened to the day? Nowt was done much, evening carer due shortly. Meal To get done. I’m going to make a chilli stew for myself. And will do my best not to cut any parts of my anatomy, slicing the sourdough bread to dip into the food. Hehe! I’ll it the meal prepared then… Oh, I’ve not done the Blood Pressure yet. I imagine it will be the opposite of yesterday’s panicking high? It does that a lot, up and downing.

Ah, much betterer indeed.
In fact, overall, one of the best for ages, methinks? ‘
I bet when I do the BP Graph site, it will be down low in the amber zone.

There, what did I tell yer? Two extremes in two days.
Ah, well, food preparation time for me.
I can’t help but think I’ve missed or forgotten something? Mmm!

ANOTHER INCHCOCK GASTRONOMIC DISASTER! What was I thinking about? How can even I; make so many cock-ups making just one meal?
Easily seems to be the answer! The good bit first, I didn’t cut any fingers slicing the sourdough bread… fair enough, I did drop the loaf, and did Back-Pain-Brenda no good at all, bending down to clear up the crumbs; then knocked the knife off of the counter. But it missed me. just blunted the tip of the knife.
It took me that long to clear up the crumbs; I lost more time trying to straighten the tip of the knife than I had to reheat the stew in the microwave.

The first spoonful indicated one of the reasons for the almost uneatable flavour I’d conjured up. (I looked in the waste bin later and realised this was true). I’d added a can of baked beans to the chilli stew, but think I put curry-flavoured beans in the pot, not plain ones!
I ate some of it, all the sourdough brown bread that was nice. I was soon back in the kitchen, putting the ¾s of the meal I’d not eaten into food bags to go to the chute in the black bags.
Where more causes of the calamity were discovered. The pot of BBQ seasoning I added was actually basil: the pot was still out on the top. Alongside it should have been a bottle of BBQ sauce from which I added a sludge or two to the meal… no, but there was a bottle of balsamic vinegar?
I shudder to give the taste rating any score at all it would have had to be a minus score. However, the sourdough bread was delightfully tasty. 1.2/10.

I washed the pots in the nearly hot water from the tap, and I got a packet of seaweed crisps to nibble and settled into the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner, and went into a gloriously dream-filled sleep.

Jodie came in, not ringing the doorbell again. She hovered over my prostrate but crumpled adipocerous bellied body, giving out a loud but cheerful “How are you, okay?” I’m not sure if I answered or not! The visit was a blur, really.

I had planned to get up later and make a start on updating this blog… I meant later in the night. But I drifted off again, and I got another five hours of sleep in!
Waking at 03:35hrs, in need of a wee-wee.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

07:10hrs: Yet another night of jumping awake and waiting to nod off again. So much so that on waking up proper, around 05:00hrs, I drifted off unintentionally until 07:10hrs. Sweet Morpheus was not kind to me last night at all.
I feared that the Carer might have called earlier, but he/she could not get in. Especially if it was an annoying one who refused to press the doorbell. I always hear that, and it never fails to wake me up if asleep, and it had not done that. I caught my balance and hobbled to unlock the front door. But it was not locked! So was pretty sure that they would have walked in anyway.
Being up late, I started to prep Josies veg for her chilli-con-carne meal. Got them on the boil and added them to the saucepan.
Got the sorted out. A nice looking set of returns this time. SIA dropped to 138. DIA down to 61, Pulse up but not a lot, to 78.
Put the figures into the CP analyser and got this returned. Great, I’m back just in the amber! In the High-Normal Zone.

My noisy Neighbour above, Herbert, sounded off, with a different style of sound today. A chug-chugging for a few minutes, then a loud thud. Then silence… Dang sang dang, Dang! Oh, I do hope he’s not hurt himself; you know, dropped a steam engine on his foot and is laying there in absolute agony as the hot steam burns its way through his clothing and into his lower regions. I considered going up to ask if he was alright, just for a laugh.

Off to make my first brew of Glengettie Welsh tea. And I thought (I do that occasionally), Blimey, it’s dark out there!

I temporarily lifted the glasses from my nose to reveal the right view, although blurred from the window – it was foggy, to say the least. The first photo was taken straight ahead.
The second one of straight down n from the window of the Chestnut Drive car park. A good job I was using the grab strap on my wrist. Cause I dropped the Lumix, but it didn’t get away from me; the strap held it.
Then went out on the balcony and took this picture. Not that there is much to see other than fog. Hehe!

I went through to the kitchen and checked on Josie’s food progress. Looking good and tasting good too! I reckon the basil helped today.
Just hope Josie likes it.

I went on the blogging duties then and got involved with the Ode Words list again. An hour or two was lost there. Tsk! I  reluctantly had to force myself to stop.

Got the meal delivered to Josie. Who did not mention Betty Bunter today? But did ask me for the umpteenth time if I drink the gin etc. I said no. She added: Whyever do you buy it then? I did mention this time; For the pleasure of sharing and caring, Josie. I got a furrowed brow and an odd sort of ‘He’s nuts!’ look. Hehe!

Then I set about cleaning up the kitchen… and the hot water tap was running cold! So, no shaving for me today… unless it comes back on. Then the fear that I may have left the tap running in the wet room came over me…
The old ticker was beating as I hurried into the wet room – but all was okay in there! Phew!
Back to cleaning the kitchen, which was a bit risky, Accifauxpas-wise. Boiling kettles and saucepans of water so I could clean up was done carefully. and slowly to avoid any spillages.

I’d filled another waste bag already, so took it to the chute room.
I used a photo from the last time I did this. (Cause I didn’t take the camera with me) It’s getting a regular habit. Dropped the posh-looking collapsible stick, bent down to retrieve it, and hit my head in the cast-iron chute lid. I merely laughed off the pained head, right knee and my feeling a pratt. And skipped back to the flat yodelling.

I got the Porcelain Throne activities done and checked the knee and head the ankle was suddenly stinging. Rubbed some Phorpain gel in the knee, and spot of Germolene on the back of the head, and some Arnica cream on the ankle. I think I got these the wrong way around? The ankles and feet looked pretty good.

Time to get my own nosh now.
Apart from undercooking the veggie burger, overcooking the chips (fries), and the Heinz bean-filled potato croquettes, well; I broke another tooth eating a chip. The undercooked burger gave me the wind and runs. As for the bean-filled potato croquettes, Never again! I still have four of them left in the freezer, so if anyone fancies them and has a liking for eating cardboard, please come and help yourself. But, be warned, a taste rating of 1⅛/10 was given. Mostly mayhap to my lack of culinary skills, though? Guilty!

Went to get the pots washed, but the hot water was barely warm again. Hell of a dangerous job having to heat water in the kettle and saucepan to use. And how do I go on in trying to shave? I’d assumed the water would get heated again by now, but no! I didn’t shave yesterday, so must do it tonight somehow.

Cassie woke me up. I was deep in sleep and dreaming. Of a cyber-friend, Billum. He was at a laptop using a slide rule and kept cutting his finger? Cassie got the medications done and was keen to get away, not that she rushed anything, oh no. She asked if anything else was needed as she approached the inner door. There wasn’t. and I offered her a choice of drinks and nibbles. She only took a Tango drink… I think. Took the waste gag out with her, bless her cotton socks.

I decided to get a stand-up wash and shave and just make the best of shaving carefully. I should not have risked it, really. The water was barely warm still, and each time I refilled the sink, it seemed to be getting colder. When the water was really hot, as it has been for months now, if, or rather when I cut myself shaving, the hot water kept the bleeding down to a minimum. But not today, oh no! I stopped shaving, deciding that the hot water must surely be hot by the morning, and I have the shave then.

I settled to watch a programme on remembering the Twin Towers. But drifted off at the first set of commercials.

Inchcock: Saturday 10th September 2022

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

02:05hrs: Sweet Morpheus shook me awake with more than the usual jump and jerk used. No need for that, even if I did need a wee-wee! I forced myself free of the clutches of the second-hand, £300, charity shop-bought, gungy beige coloured, rickety, c1968 recliner, stood up, caught my balance, and took the few steps to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket)

What a wee-wee that was, worryingly. The bladder did not want to free its contents. When it did come, it was not worth the pain and effort of forcing things along. Not an easy one this morning, but at least there was no blood in it; mind you, there was so little evacuated it might have had blood in it cause I could hardly see it in the vastness of the grey bucket. It looked more damp than liquid. Hehe! I checked to find the Inchies . Very little, though, nowt to fret over.
The pain from the bladder drifted into insignificance as I stubbed my toe on the waste bin turning around; lack of concentration as I was looking for the slippers to get on. It was proper-cold this morning.

I took a snap of the morning view from the kitchen window. I’m having to use the Fuli camera, as the Lumix is having its battery recharged. I wish someone could do that with mine; hehehe! Not pleased with this picture at all and the BP photo was taken, but later on, was about as bad. Humph!

Got the Computer booted; to get the odeing and Cartoon done. Then, of course, changed my plan as I realised I had not yet finished yesterday’s blog.
I’m pretty well known for my cunctation, vacillation, and tentativeness. I could starve to death when making up my mind about what to have to eat. Hehe! So, I changed to updating the Saturday blog… it took me four hours to get it completed. The same sad old trait; I couldn’t stop adding things as I recalled them that I couldn’t remember yesterday. Tsk! Got it posted and started on the first of today’s little odes.

But not for long. Sam arrived. I was hoping for a decent nattering session. we did have a gossip, but nothing like a worthy one. She was agitating (is that the right word?) to get away. I delayed her by getting the can of Rum & Strawberry plonk, and a packet of Jacobs Leicester Cheese flavoured mini-cheddars out for her. She took the waste bag with her, only because I asked to, Humph! And off she trotted. ♥

I decided to get the Health checks done. I got out the Boot’s
sphygmomanometer first.
The SYS was a dangerously high 162. However, the DIA was well down from yesterday at 74. The Pulse was a reasonable 76, and body temperature was a smidgeon low at 32.5°f.

The BP analyser showed that the figure was down a lot via yesterday’s top edge in Hypertension One… which was just as well; cause had it been up, I wouldn’t have been here to waffle on about it.

I went back to the computer but forgot I’d made a start on the Ode and started making the political graphic of Liz at the top of this page.

I’m not going to bother with any more photos until the Lumix has fully charged. The first two pictures were embarrassing enough.

I changed again and got the Friday blog finished when I realised I’d not posted it yet.
Kicked of with his Saturday Morning clanging and banging, but fair does, not for long. I hope he’s not injured himself terribly painfully and is lying up there bleeding to death.

A bad one this time! I’d gone into the kitchen to sort out a meal and just opted to have sliced potatoes and roast-vegetable risotto Ready-Made meal and got the required foods out of the fridge; as I turned to take them to the counter, Peripheral Pete gave me an energetic right leg dance – it was only a 30-second twirl, but with the food in my hands, I didn’t get the stick in time. Clunk thud, I landed right on the offending knee!
But there was still a silver lining. Oh, yes! The veg-risotto and potatoes were still in their wrapper, so the food was rescued. Hahaha! A smidge shook up now. Well, I haven’t had a tumble since Tuesday, and I was getting a smidge overconfident, methinks?

While resting for a while, I made some more odes, parts two and three:

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

After doing these, I still felt a little groggy, so got something to eat and settled in the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner.
I kept waking up, as per normal, but there was no inspiration nor desire to get up again. So I kipped woke – kipped and woke for another few hours, still no interest in getting up.

Eventually, the need for a wee-wee forced me into action. Hehe! And, in the wee-weeing – the action was the word! After getting to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), things started straight away this time! FPB (Forceful-Painful-Blasting) marathon of a wee-wee flowed out as if from a fireman’s hose pipe! Little Inchie has not hurt so much in months. To make things that little bit worse, I suffered a massive amount of   I think the bladder was making up for his lack of action recently. It was as if someone had pulled a plug and Whoosh!

I cleaned up, changed PP’d, and refreshed the NNWB, now being used in the daytime, and got my ponderously cumbrous, over-weight, massive-bellied body down on the recliner again. And I was soon kipping again.
When I woke up with a start, I checked the clock and read it as 22:25hrs. No Evening Carer has called! Or, have they been and fed me the tablets while I was half asleep and did not notice? Confusion Conrad took over.
Aha, thought I, I’ll check the Carers register. Nope, no one had been.

I’m not feeling too bad now,  can take them myself and avoid having to ring about them. I thought I’d give them some more time, so went to get a cold drink from the fridge and took this snap, with the battery charges Lumix, of the sun going down… Hang on, Inchie, I said to myself as the fog cleared in my brain for a moment… What’s the sun doing up there at this time of night?
I realised then that I’d misread the clock. (Thanks, Cataract Katie!) It must have been 17:35hrs!
A flipping good job I didn’t phone them, innit?
Back on the computer or the last Ode making.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Feeling betterer now. I’ve got over the tumble and clanger over what the time was when I woke up last.
On to CorelDraw to make some tabs up.
Then made a J Sainsbury order for next Tuesday.
A final of the day photograph of the evening sky.

Evening all!

Oh, it’s morning!

Or is it night in America?

Trotsky Terence was losing his domination this morning. Constipation Konrad taking over. (They tend to do this regularly) The torpedo exited mega slowly, after several minutes of trying to force things along, and so painfully, too! Only a smidgeon of bleeding, though.
I got myself involved in updating the word list on XL. Hadn’t got the time, but that didn’t bother Doreen, letting me wander off the plot.

Carer Jodie arrived, see that I remembered her name!   ‘Okay, I had to ask her twice!’ Tsk! Soon got the medications sorted out. We managed a little nattering session, which suited me down to the ground. Jodie took note of the tap problem, it was leaking, and I begged her to let Deana know. Said she would, and then she departed, and I remembered to ask her to take the waste bag. Honestly! She returned later with the new month’s Medications parcel. Bless her!

I took this photo through the balcony window – using the Lumix setting for the ‘photo-through-glass’ option. Not bad, eh?

Got back and did actually start the blogging. Then Deana appeared with the emergency plumber to mend the leaking tap! ♥ Great! I tried to explain about getting no help with dementia, but Deana was busy and had to get back down at the office. I’ll try to catch her later on when I get back from Riverside.

I’ve had nine calls from an Asian-sounding person now. Six yesterday and Three this morning! Can’t hear a word they are saying. 4 -today now!

Then, got entangled in the word listing again – CLOT!
Got a final wash and readied to go down for the lift. Prepared the trolley and got the paperwork in the basket for the trip. I still don’t know if this is the right date or not? Still, all being well, I’ll find out soon.

Down to the foyer and waited on the arrival of the minibus. Plenty of rubbish around the end of the flats; this area is below the window photo. Plastic hypodermics? That’s what they looked like. A pair of heavy-duty socks. Nub-ends, what appeared to be spilt milk, and a mystery lump of clogged hair, that looked like a fur ball.

The van arrived ten minutes later.

The driver got me into a seat and the three-wheeler Walker in as well. I paid the fare… and then realised I had not got my hearing aids in. That did not go down well with the driver at all! The driver said, ‘Oh, you’ll manage!” [Sounding like I can’t muck about waiting for you!]). But, just in case the meeting was on, I had to fetch the hearing aids. I hastened with all alacrity back up to the flat; as I was getting the hearing aids, the phone rang yet again. I was going to leave it in case it was another of the mystery Asian-sounding person calling. But it stopped ringing anyway. What with door-to-door salesmen going around the flats, making one nervous to open the door, Con-artist phoning and my fear of answering the phone, druggies gear outside the front door… Ah, well…

The reluctant driver strapped me in again. And off to Bulwell, we travelled. Dropping me of in the car park at the Riverside complex, I thanked him, and he reminded me not to pay again. To tell the driver who picks me up that it has been paid for both ways.
Into the centre and to the receptionist in the library part. I asked if the P-Diabetes course was on today. She said to go down a corridor, she pointed to it, and the medical receptionist is in there. So, I limped down the corridor and into the reception room there. Asked the same question of the lone soul lady in there, and this caused a bit of a Sherlock Holmesian activity to be needed. Who is running the course? ‘Nathanial’ – What is the name of the course? ‘Erm…’. At no time did I think of doing the logical thing and getting out the folder to check for the name of the course! Which room were you in? ‘I don’t know; it’s been a different room each time?’ Eventually, after consulting some paperwork, the lady asked me; Did you say, Nathanial? ‘Yes’- Well, it’s not him!
Well, we that got sorted. Hehe! I decided I’d have time to get to Bulwell Market and get some window shopping in.

I meandered out of the hall, and I took a left turn. As soon as I got to the dead end of that corridor, with the fire alarm door, quick as a flash, I realised something had gone wrong! I had to leg it all the way back to the main receptionist…
And then turned left to leave by the door I entered… Huh! I should have carried on to the other end of the building and used that exit, which comes out a lot closer to Bulwell, but no, not me and Never the correct or logical options for us! This meant that it took me three times as long to get to Market Place, and I had to try and hurry things.

I went into the B&M Store purely to look for bargains in their food department. I got some bargain-priced cans of plonk for the carers; I must try again to get some more later if they’ve not gone up. Some cobs and a can of chilli-con-carne. Went into the Market stalls, not that there were many there, and got a bag of bird seed. I was thinking of going into Iceland to see if that branch has any of the NoBull burgers… But checked the time, and I had to hasten back to the Riverside for the lift back!

I threw half of the birdseed hastily as I passed the Leen river bank and almost went head-over-tit as I tripped on the broken tarmac on the pavement (again!). Got to the car park just in time, and the bus pulled in within a minute of my getting there. Phew!

A different driver who took a longer route back, not that it mattered it was all paid for. He offered to come up to the flat with me. I told him thanks, I’ll be okay. Gave him a choice of drinks in thanks from the trolley. Got into the foyer and round to the lift.

I went to have a look at the noticeboard. Which was a waste of time without the magnifying glass, of course.
Up in the lift, and finally home to the flat – with its leaking taps, con-men-calling, scammers phoning and a tenant in the grips of Dementia Doreen, Anne Gyna, and other unwanted ailments.
Got the purchases away. I made a brew, and started to update this blog. After an hour or two, I realised I’d not done the so, I did them.

Well, I think this looks better than yesterday’s results on the Chinese-made sphygmomanometerisationing figures. I’ll pop them into the Blood Pressure analysing site.

Just look at the graph!
The next stage up is dead. Hahaha!

Ah, I see now; I sometimes get there in the end, like, you know. Not always…
The SYS is at 141, a little high, perhaps. But the killjoy (Shouldn’t use that phrase here, should I?) It’s that blooming DIA again that’s shot up that caused this disaster of a result! The body temperature was fine, at 34.4°f. I think The Pulse was okay at 80bpm! Did I drop a Malapropism in this sentence?

Hello, the sky just quickly darkened. Owt to do with the BP reading, do yer think? A hidden message from the grim-reaper, mayhap? Har-har! Why am I laughing?

Better get something to eat the veggie burgers on wholemeal cobs, and some tomatoes sound appealing. It was not bad, either. Yet again, and I’m getting wee’d-off with myself for doing this… I took a photo of the meal, and didn’t realise I’d left the SD caned in the computer reader! Schpugglebogs! Gramshackle-Globberisations! Unglefrogwogglings! and Grrr! Although it looked decent enough, I’d well undercooked the imitation lamb steaks, forgot to put the tomatoes on the plate, and my putting a drop of BBQ sauce on it; turned out to be a dirty great dollop of it! Taste Rating: 3.5/10.

After doing the washing up, O took these two photos from the kitchenette window. I was absolutely overjoyed with them. For they gave me a few minutes of pleasant pareidoliaing.
Even (or maybe because of) the cataract I spotted in the top shot, two eyes and a nose, and a ghost.

In the second one, I found a mouse. But this one is pure beauty to me, Mother Nature with the sun and clouds combining to make a Picasso of their own.

Sweet Morpheus denied me any sleep at first. Then the Thought Storms kicked off, although not all bad ones. Usually, these storms have guilt, self-disgust, shame, frustration, fears etc. in them. But tonight, there were a lot of questions arising, ideas to be mused over.
How I know this, I don’t know. Cause in the morning, the facts contained n the Thought Storms had all been etherised!

Wednesday 7th September 2022: Diary

WEDNESDAY’s ODE
I apologise for the crap above – I ran out of CBD, you see!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Very late this morning, I stirred into life, around 0715hrs. Tsk!

The tumble-caused marks and bruise in the right knee, I expected to start stinging as soon as I moved – but no! Hardly any stiffness, and the pain when I did move, was pleasantly greatly reduced. I expected it would be far worse, but I’m not complaining.
As I was catching my balance as I raised up my magnificent, muscular 5′ 3″ body onto my feet; a tiny emission from the rear end all but had me gasping for breath! I thought it advisable to make my way to the , with some haste. Well, it appears that Trotsky Terence is reclaiming the top spot in the evacuation-stakes daily battle with Constipation Conrad this morning. Splurt-splash and all over with!
Bending to clean up the well-sprayed porcelain bowl, I hit the right knee against the bowl… but hardly any pain, and that evaporated within minutes. Are things going well today? Worrying, innit? So unnatural!

Had a wash, no shave yet, cause I wanted to be ready for when Carer Richard arrived. He didn’t have time for a proper chinwag Monday or Tuesday. I was looking forward to a mutual moaning, groaning, verbal-repartee, and laughing session with the lad.
By the time I’d made up the waste bags, ♫ Oh Susana ♫ had chimed out, and in came Richard. He greeted me in the kitchen, but my EQ told me I would not get a blathering session. As he started to yawn as he spoke, I knew my chances of a good confabulation were nil! Hehehe! That’s three days without a good Richard gossip… Humph! Still, can’t blame the lad; he might be disappointed too. Anyway, I tried not to show my disappointment to Richard and genuinely wished him a better day’s kip for today. He gave me one last yawn, after telling me to take care as he left, with the waste bags in his hand for the rubbish chute. Bless him!

Morrison’s email regarding today’s order: CRAP!

I popped into the balcony to have a look around outside, and I managed a rarity – a moving vehicle using the wide bit as a turnaround point.
Red van-man, in his usual position on the no-parking chevrons. I wonder if he’s a bully or a wealthy tenant… maybe related to one of the Nottingham City Homes bosses? Could be all three?

I got the Boot’s branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, and the were done. SYS 157, DIA 75, Pulse 76 and the body temperature was 33.4°f.
Oh! The returns from the NHS Diagnosis site showed that I was still in the Red Zone much a lot higher than yesterday.
I’d have thought yesterday’s sudden raise would be due to the tumble I took, yet today. Feeling a lot better, and it increases? There’s no telling, is there?

I started to get yesterday’s blog finished off but got carried away by adding things I forgot to put on. A slow job again, bearing in mind all the mistakes I was making in typing. I wonder how long it will be before the cataract is done?

The intercom went, and I heard it! ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth as the Morrison delivery man arrived. I remembered to tell him before he started unloading the baskets, as I was directed to in Morrison’s Email! The chap seemed unphased about it! What the hell am I ordering stuff from them for?

I thanked the man and got the much-reduced food into the kitchen. No message from crap-overpriced Morrisons to tell me they are going to reduce the order cost yet, and it is now gone 20:00hrs? Are they going to rob me? I wouldn’t be surprised. SWINE! Realised that I had not sent back the overpriced unwanted food bags – I am a clot! Morrison was charging more than Amazon were for the Germoloids? Gits!
They must hate their customers? And their pistachio nuts were as dry as wood! The cheddars biscuits deserve to be called Cheddars-crumbs! The cans of mandarins in water were both dented. I hope they have not put arsenic or bleach in the vegetable risotto!
The fridge was full again, but not as full as it would have been; were Morrison’s skilful enough not to run out of stock of many things.
I’ll just check the emails to see if any notification about the returned items has been sent… back in a bit. Nope, no email from Morrison’s.

I got another call on the intercom. I think that van is an Amazon one, but no one was in view. The man who delivered to me left nearly an hour ago? Of course, it might not be an Amazon vehicle at all.
I’m waffling again, sorry.

I spent a good many hours (five more at least) getting the Tuesday blog finished: I just kept adding to it? Is this being caused by Doreen’s Dementia? I genuinely found it impossible to stop writing.
I was aware that time was running out. I was worried about getting no sleep again… Yet I still pressed on. The only thing that stopped me was self-hatred at my stupid actions… really sad innit!

I eventually got the Tuesday blog sent off well into the afternoon and started doing the template for this one…

Warden Julie appeared in the room, another shock for the ticker. He asked if anyone had been knocking on my door. I’ve heard no one, I replied. But as she was hastily going out again, she said something as she hastened down the hallway, but I could make it out.

Ten minutes later, there was a knocking on the door. A tall, well-built young man, holding out a wrinkled ID of some sort. Told me he wanted to earn an honest living, he was just out of prison, and would I buy something from his bag? Really pressing for me to view them and purchase something. He was most annoyed when I said no.
Then I realised this might be why Julie had come to see me earlier. I tried ringing her and Warden Deana to inform them he was still about, but no answer. So I left it alone but kept the door locked after that.

Carol called to say is it alright if she does the laundry on Sunday, cause I can see you have plenty of clothes. (Unaware, I’m sure, that I can no longer fit into ¾ of them – Hehehe! No problem, I said. It’s with Esther staying on her holiday in South Africa for another two weeks, and Carol obviously did not know and had made other plans, bless her. Not her fault at all. I asked her if she saw a Warden tell them he was still on site. I assume it was this con man they were looking for?
I was entertained on and off by Herbert in the flat above, with a good mixture of mechanical concerts. The tap tapping was superb; he threw in a few metal-sounding thuds.

The intercom went, and I heard it again! I looked through the spy-hole and saw an Amazon man who’d been last week and opened the door. Cautious that it might be the con man again, I waited unto the door chime rendered the ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune.
It was the Depend Protection Pants. These may look rough compared to the others, but they are practical and reassuring.

I opened the carton and put the pants bags in the spare junk room.

Then, I put the last of all the rest of them, with a bag, open of the Depend ones, into the wet room.
I can rest easy now. Should I be caught out, heavens forbid, but it can and does happen. The front wee-wee spurts or the , or the most noticeable, when Inchies . The Tena and Morrison ones have let me down in the past.
The ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune burst forth again. It was Josie, bless her heart, she’d bought me some bananas for making her Sunday meals. ♥

I got back to blogging for several more hours… Until I was just too tired to do any more for now. And I’ve still not had a meal yet!
I took this photograph of the moody evening view from the kitchenette window while cooking the Oh, so late meal.
The meal: A veggie cottage pie, red and yellow mini-tomatoes halved, and the last of the just out-of-date raw garden peas.  Weak and unwilling.
Backed up with a bag of Seaweed Crisps. Seaweed coated with tapioca with tried these; I think Sister Jane would like these. I’ll put some with her wine to take to her. Or to be collected. Whichever. Melted in the mouth, expensive, but jolly tasty flavour!
I woke up and took the dish, cutlery, and empty pot on the food tray to be washed… ! I’d left the tap I (faucet) running again! , ! No hot water now until the early morning, so no shaving either. Too risky to use hot water from the kettle to shave with. I remember leaving the taps on in January and using the kettle for shaving water… Still, the scalding scars have gone now.

I Lumixed a couple of shots of the rather magnificent view. Came out alright, and both were single efforts.

Evenin’ All! Well, it’s tomorrow morning now!

Tuesday 6th September 2022

What a mess! Got up late, ablutions Throne, Doctors things and list, Carer Richard, Shave changed checked emails. No time for blogging – I had to rush to get to the Doctor’s surgery on time. Three-wheeler trolley; hope I’ve got and done all that is needed, jacket, bus pass to get to the surgery, Carer Richards list of things to mention, etc. Fool! Going to walk back.
I’ll only flit through the happenings before the catastrophic events go to, in and coming back from the surgery.

Bless her busy heart ♥

Carer Richard was in a rush again, so a bit of rabbiting and nattering was lost there. I think he had extra calls on again.
After much messing about and feeling so unsure of what I was doing, I departed my little flat, and I went down to drop some treats off at the ILC’s (Independent Living Coordinators) office. I met Carol there, and she advised us that Esther is staying in South Africa for another fortnight, so Carol will do my laundry for me tomorrow. I was pleased to hear this; I like Carol.

Also, having missed out on a chinwag with Richard, it was heaven to see and speak to people at the bus stop. Christine, Carol, Deana, Frank, Mark… I was in my eyeholes, although concerned that I get to the surgery on time. The bus arrived, I dropped off on Mansfield Road, and I caught a bus a few stops into Carrington. Hobbled to the surgery, and it had changed so much from my last visit… naturally, that was years ago, I think.

Got into the reception, a new young girl there now. She was behind windows and plastic a bank would have been proud of. She was not too keen on me when I had to keep asking her what she said, ending up with a Hitler-like arm outstretched with a finger, pointing at the waiting area chairs. So I obediently sat down and got the crossword book and magnifying glass out… but I’d forgotten to take a pen with me. Humph!
I waited and waited. Folks were coming half an hour later and being called into the surgery. It was apparent that I’d made another cock-up with the timing?
Another fifteen or twenty minutes, and I summoned in.

“And what do you want this morning?” I handed her the list, and she typed things off of it into her computer. No signs of interest or concerns; until I told her about the last item, where I had a mind blank and memory blank, in Bulwell and came round hundreds of yards away, in the Pound Land shop.  She had another bash at the computer and told me to arrange an appointment with the receptionist for an advanced memory test. Then asked me if I’d booked my Flu jab yet; I swear I heard her ‘tut’ when I said no. Hehe!
She changed her mind about me arranging the visits and came out with me and told the receptionist, who gave me a card with the dates on it. I forced a thank you out and meandered out onto Mansfield Road for the walk back to Sherwood. For some reason, it was a memory prompting hobble, an Accifauxpa and injury-acquiring one, as I discovered later. Here are the photographs that were taken, to which I recorded my thought on taking each one: I do my bestest, despite Dementia, Doreen! Hehe!

Well, Tsk!

I caught a number 40 bus back up Winchester Street to the flats.
I called in at the Warden’s holding cell office. And showed her the appointment card, asking if she could arrange for a lift there each time, but I could make my own way back. She’s up to the neck in it but said she would – then she noticed something of a mystery; Dang dang dang Dang!

The new surgery receptionist had made a bloomer or two here! (And this, from the second-best surgery in Nottingham certificated, Sherrington Park!)

Deana told me she’d look into it for me and let me know. I thanked her and made my way up to the flat, intent on getting some Phorpain gel on the right knee; it was definitely worse than earlier.

Hobbling slowly now, through the Winwood Court passage to Woodthorpe Court, up in the lift and into the flat. I got the trousers off and checked over the knee from the front…

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Made a start on this blog, another late night? This could be serious?

Warden & Skiing Champion Deana called. To tell me the changed confirmed dates and times of the Doctor’s appointments.
19th September 11:00hrs – Mem Test.
24th September 10:30hrs – Flu – Pneumonia jabs.
I thanked her muchly. Then got the new times added to the Google Calendar

Sam, or erm… yes, I’m sure it was; arrived, not pressing the door tune button again! She’ll be the death of me. Talk about making me jump!
So late now, I’ve spent about six hours on this blogging. I’m going to get something to eat and catch up in the morning… Catch up in the morning? Did I really think that was a possibility?

, I’ve not done the yet, Humph! Better get on with them then – no rest for the wicked!

Well, I put in the analyser… Oh, dearie me!

Got some chips and veggie burgers into the oven. Going to have tomatoes, and the fresh raw garden was with it.

That was the plan, as it turned out, I forgot to put the tomatoes on the dish – it could happen to anyone – with Dementia Doreen in their head. Tsk!
I took these two pictures with the Lumix on the ‘Auto’ option. It looked peaceful and calming to me, and I stood a while thinking things over… Until the sound of emergency vehicles, sirens and klaxons could be heard nearby. Twigged me back to reality!
I made up the somewhat larger than planned meal, got it on the tray, but could not resist eating some of the fresh raw pod peas before taking it through to the front room.
When I settled down with my feet up, the right knee went well down, but the rest of the leg bloated up with water retention. The banging and twisting it in the tumble, the reason I imagine?
I took the things through to the kitchenette and got them washed, and to my eyes, the sun was still in the sky as I saw it. So I took this picture, is it the sun, or a hole come gap in the clouds?

I washed things up and returned to the second-hand, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly-recliner. Then walloped and rubbed in a lot of my Phorpain gel. The knee pain was still bad, although it was getting less blotchy and coloured all the time. To help me sleep; if Sweet Morpheus allows me to… less pain should mean fewer waking-ups.

– What an idiot! I remembered that I’d already taken an extra Codeine earlier, then another when Sam gave me the evening medications! I’ll have to look up the risks of taking too many Codeines. I’ll do it now…

Codeine should only be taken as a ‘top up’ or ‘rescue’ painkiller. Codeine may make you feel light-headed, dizzy or drowsy. Make sure you are at home when you take the tablets – Codeine can also cause constipation,
Allergic reactions (itch, hives, skin rash, redness, increased sweating, flushed face, difficulty breathing), death,  increased pressure in the skull (painful eyes, changes in vision or headache behind the eyes), fits (convulsions)
Other side effects: Confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, changes in mood, nightmares, mental depression, restlessness/excitement, headache, hallucinations (seeing, feeling or hearing things that are not there), feeling sick (nausea), constipation
, vomiting, dry mouth, abdominal pain (may be caused by spasm of the bile ducts), low body temperature, blurred or double vision, tiny pupils, (Sorry, not this; I thought it said extremely small penis) palpitations, low blood pressure, low blood pressure on standing, slow or fast heartbeat, malaise (general discomfort), pain and difficulty in passing water, uncontrolled muscle movements and rigidity, decrease in sex drive.

Hehehe! I’m sorry I bothered you now. All the red-coloured risks I’ve already got. So taking extra Codeine should make little difference to me.

I’ve just two pairs of the not-so-effective Morrisons PPs left.
But fear not, for tomorrow, all being well, I’ve got some fresh ones arriving from Amazon.
These  Depend Comfort type Protection Pants are not as thick as the chunky show-through your trousers Morrison ones.
They are cheaper than Morrison’s, but then again, Morrison’s prices have increased more than other places, so it’s not a surprise.
I find the Depend ones will protect in the event of any suddenly unstoppable wee-wee or blood from the rear end leaks, better than all the other PPs I’ve tried. Not a topic that should be on here, perhaps. But I know the benefit of using these pants. I’d like to pass this on to any other sufferers. Economical and trustworthy. Never let me down yet.

I got down in the recliner and dropped off in no time! Great! Besides that, apart from one waking for a wee-wee that had what felt like gallons of , Hehehe, I was in the land of nod for about six hours.

INCHIES DAIRY, IMITATION ODE, & CARTOON

06:30: Up later than planned, hoping the J Sainsbury order, which was due twixt 06:00 > 20:00hrs, had not been, and I’d not heard them. I meandered wobbly into the kitchenette and took these photos of the view.
I took the one on the right through the bottom window. It had been raining but was just stopping now.
The houses looked reasonably wet, I could not see the roadways clearly enough. So I used the camera to zoom in to have a look at Cavendish Road, or Close, or Street, or whatever. Hehe!
I was not exactly soaking wet, more severely damp.
I stripped off to get the ablutions tended to, and the left wrist looked terribly swollen and blotchy. No idea why; it itched but did not hurt at all. I got in the bathroom and realised that I had only got two pairs of my smaller American-made Nappies… I mean Protection Pants, left! I had the best of them all, the Tena, but they are not suitable for going out in, they are so bulky, they show through the trousers, but ace at coping with any leakages! So, I ordered some of the American Depend ones from Amazon. Sod the cost, I got a multipack to last me for a month at least. Likely even longer cause, as I say, the Depend ones are not used other than when someone is visiting, or I go to the hospital or as it happens tomorrow to the Doctors. Not a lot of people can say that! Hehehe! Got the ablutions sorted out.

J Sainbury sent me an email about the order due today.
As you can see, they continue to be short of various foods, like bread, nuts, and veggie products.
They also sent a tray of ‘Fresh’ Parmentier potatoes that showed on the pack it arrived today as the last use-by date!
What’s the Sainsbury slogan? Sainsbury’s, making life taste better!
Yes…
I’m sure!

Arrived while I was bending down to pick up some bits I’d dropped, putting them in the wast bag. He fetched the picker-upper, handed it to me, and told me off for not using it. Hehe!
Pillock! I lost it again and thought for some reason that I was going to the Doctor’s today, not tomorrow. And although Richard wanted to get away, I asked him if he could go through the things I need to remember to tell the doctor about. Obligingly he did. But rushed off afterwards – Whoosh! He still took the bags to the chute for me. Bless him. Moments afterwards, I realised my cock-up; I did feel like a right proper fool!

♫ Oh, Susan chimed out ♫ It was my precious Nurse Hristina, come to take the Warfarin INR test blood. She is an Angel. I managed to have a natter with her this time. So, that made up for Richard having to shoot off early. A sweetheart, remind me of HRH. ♥ Of course, she fancies me so much!

As Hristina went, the Sainsbury man arrived. This chap usually does not squash the soft stuff at the bottom of the boxes… but not today. I cheered up a smidgeon when I got the boxes into the kitchen, and I spotted something in the left carton… Germoloid Cream!
What a sight, I could feel pain from easing just looking at it. Har-Har!
Not cheap, as the Protection Pants I’ve ordered, but both are sort of vital to me.
I placed it in the usual place in the wet room, safely in view, where I knew I can find it when needed… which was now! But the food needed storing away first. You can just see the crushed cakes, almost out-of-date Parmentier potatoes? Along with orange desserts, disinfectant, orange cordial, cheesy Idaho potatoes and Richards beef slices, I always get him a pack or two each week. He’s a good lad.
Here are the baked bean pasties, freshly podded garden peas I bet the bank manager can’t afford these, well, I can’t, but they are delicious) Yellow and red tomatoes, ordered before Jenny gave me some, strawberries for Warden and Table-Top Dancer, Deana if I ever get to see her again, and sliced potatoes.
The fridge has never been fuller, and I think I’ve got another order coming later in the week, I think… maybe. Perhaps?

A bit of bad luck here; hard to believe, I know! I was taking the waste bags and boxes back to the front door and had a spot bother with a , only of a few seconds, but enough to have me over this time. The bags and boxes I was carrying prevented me from using the walls as support. Shook me for a minute or two. But all okay when I got back up, apart from a leg on the airer that I fell on, Gorilla tape to the rescue. A minuscule scratch and an even smaller bruise on the right knee. All goodski!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ chimed up again. It was the Amazon long Diabetic socks arriving, with the Organic Hemp Capsules, Hemp and Lemon Balm. A bigger bag this time, not in a tub, but three times as many

They seem bigger to me as well. And, they work out cheaper. Plus, of course, they will last longer. On a rare winner here, I think! But I’m not going into a
Well, knowing my luck, Hehehe!

I gave the socks a good check-over. I have to admit they seem strong enough and long enough to me. All ready for the winter months!

I very belatedly got the Sunday blog finished and sent off. Busy day up to now; I don’t think I’ve ever been so late in posting one off to WordPress. Obviously, this means another stay-up-late job to get this one started. Just when I needed to get the sleep in to be prepared for the Doctor’s tut-tutting and ignoring me in the morning’s appointment.

I’ve not done the darned yet! I’d better get them sorted, then.
Just look at the results! They tell me to take these Blood Pressure readings in the morning, but taking them tonight – and I got the best ever results!
I AM IN THE GREEN!!!

♫ Happiness, Happiness… ♫
Great, a definite upgrade to a Class One – Grade A, Super Class One upgrade! There’s a chance I may regret saying that!

♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth from the door chime. Jodie called. Nice to see her again; we had a little chinwag and laugh after she’d tended to my needs. (Ahem!) A special thank you treat & choice of cold drink.

Then, I went to put the kettle on. A habit of mine; the same as finding the mug of tea I made hours ago on the counter and stone cold! Getting late now. This photo of the dying sun was taken. I got this decentish shot on the first try. It had to happen sometime! Hehe!

At last, I got around to doing some work on this blog. I was doing well… until the two little fingers started dancing about of their own accord! I nearly dropped the camera taking this photograph of little monkeys!
It was impossible to type safely while they were wallowing all over the place, so I gave up until they stopped dancing.

Then, ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth yet again! A little late for a caller? I opened the door, and there was Jenny’s hubby Frank. A nicer bloke does not exist! He was returning the tablets that I gave to Jenny yesterday. Just one used. A note with them from Jenny: Said they did not agree with her at all. Poor gal was sick and unsteady, then fell asleep for four hours.
I wanted to call her on the landline but thought better of it in case it disturbed her. Poor Jenny. So I sent an email of condolences at her predicament. Not that would help her. Typing that was fun.

Off to put the oven on, ready for the now past-the-sell-by-date Parmentier potatoes that J Sainsbury delivered yesterday. (It is Friday morning now!) Not that the folks around here would know, lights still showing in all the houses. Have I lost it again, timewise? I took another photo of the multitude of household lights. The flippy photo disappeared from the SD card again! So much for bragging about the last photo I took. Humph! Big-Gob strikes again.

I’ll put the photo of the meal on tomorrow. He’s say’s full of confidence!

Hope I don’t get up late, must get things done for the Doctors visit. So the blog may be even later… Fed-up!

Cheers, all!

CARTOON OF THE DAY
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Off to the wet room, where it was almost a pleasure to evacuate myself. Well, apart. I made a largely unwanted order with J Sainsbury’s later when I got back from the Diabetes session – mainly to order two tubes of Germoloid Cream. They didn’t have any of the ointment in stock; for next Monday. Shame! I got on with having a wash and getting changed into new PPs, socks, trews and the jacket with loads of pockets. I cunningly put the money, coins on the left, and notes in the right-hand side pockets. Thinking, they would be easier to get to when paying for the transport. Hearing-aid batteries, camera, keys and tissues into the lower side pockets. Got the shoes on with some difficulty – although not a patch of the problems I had getting the socks on. Then the glasses into the trolley-walker basket, with pen and notepad, oh, and the Course booklet.

It took me a while getting out of the flat due to the I got to the door, trolley ready to be removed, and went back inside for endless checks. ① Are the taps all turned off? ② Did I leave the oven on? ③ Have I closed the fridge and freezer doors properly? ④ Did I close the balcony door? No doubt there were other things I checked on. Tsk!

Eventually, I got out, locked the door and down into the main ground floor lobby. I’d spent longer than I meant to with the double-checking, and it was 10:15 already. So I got myself outside so that the minibus driver could see me easily enough waiting. He couldn’t miss my bulk. Hehe!
I took these two photos from outside the foyer. Then had a chinwag with the caretaker while outside. I’d not seen or spoken with them for over a year. I thought they might have come to see me and asked if things were okay, with me not getting out much… but no. While we were nattering, the CT4N bus arrived.

Two drivers in it today. That meant I could talk to the one in the back with me. I enjoyed that a lot. A good laugh. They took the route that I would have taken, not the long roundabout route of last time. And this meant I was charged the proper rate, not overcharged as before. Hope these lads come next time. Hehehe!
They dropped me off in the Riverside Carpark, and I remembered the way to get into the reception area.
I sat next to a chap who was a Carer. We swapped tales, and I really enjoyed that gossiping session, too!
I followed his lead; up in the lift, and he found which room we were using. It was almost full of people, and only one spare chair available. I apologised to everyone as I had to squash the three-wheeler in beside me. Causing a few tuts and shuffling of people’s chairs to let me in. I felt a smidge guilty! Tsk!

It was far easier than last week but still far from perfect for hearing what was being said and seeing the thingamajig, hoojamaflip, on the wall with course details. Oh, what-d’you-call-it? Ah, projector screen! But did take part this time, I asked four questions over the session, and I got one of two answers each time. “We’ll be discussing that at a later session”, or “Yes, but it is too early yet to bring this into the discussion.
As we were about to wrap things up, and the room emptied in a hurry, the chap next to me told me my phone was ringing. I could not see who had phoned me and was using the magnifying glass to find out but was moved out to make room for the next whatever who had hired the room could move in.
As I left the room, the Community Transport driver was getting out of the lift and was not happy at being kept waiting. She had other people waiting to be picked up, she said. What could I do? No clock in the meeting room, and I could not see the time on the mobile. And didn’t realise the time. So, I cringed and apologised. A good job this lady didn’t pick up cause she took the elongated route back to the flat. Which would have cost me double what I was charged. Phew!

Dropped me off outside the main doors, and I thanked her muchly and got inside the foyer. A got the Lumix camera out of my pocket and started taking a few photographs on the way.

Not a soul in sight. It had had a facelift recently, I reckon. There was a large beetle-like, brown & yellow creature on the pot plant leaves, and I thought I’d try to get a close-up shot of it. As I neared it with the camera, I realised it couldn’t have been a beetle, the flipping thing flew away, it didn’t half make me jump. Hehehe! I very nearly dropped the camera!
Still hadn’t seen anyone to pester and gossip with. But I’m not complaining; I’ve got a good few chatterings in today, a worthwhile trip!

Not looking forward to the Doctor’s visit on Tuesday at all. I’ve just got a feeling about it in the gut.
Stay tuned in to find out what went wrong. For something will, EQ has never been wrong yet. Although I’d welcome it if he was this time.
The notice board that I have not read in years was about to be perused… Suddenly the rear end spurted wind, and I was certain an involuntary evacuation was on its way!
I hastened to the lift, and it seem to take 15 minutes to arrive… it was probably one minute, if that… but felt so much longer as I gripped my cheeks and prayed I could make it up to the flats Porcelain Throne room in time… I was in such a panic; I can’t recall going up in the lift. My next memory was sitting on the Throne and sighing so loud with relief that I did make it in time, not a lot in it, mind. Is my luck changing? Mmm?

This shot of the Chestnut Way front car park outside Woodthorpe Court showed black, white and grey vehicles, and only one red one today.

The Nottingham City Homes letter about the Winwood Courts flats security breaches was given the magnifying glass treatment.

The evening carer is due anytime now. The day’s gone quickly; so glad I stayed up to start this blog template last night, or it wouldn’t have gotten done at all. Another bit of luck, mayhap? Now, this can’t be right…

I’d better get something to eat sorted out, then. Last, of the thin fries, bean pastie, and tomatoes, that’ll do. Heartbeat just starting, so I can have 15 minutes watching it before adding the pastie to the chips in the oven. It’s all planned here, you know, Hehehe!
Of course, it didn’t work out like that.

Jozeph arrived. I’ve not seen him for a while. We managed a few words of natter, but the lad had to rush off; he’d got some extra calls to do.

Back to the cooking. Took this photo of the odd-looking weather with the light on the ground but dark in the sky view.

Finally, I got the nosh sorted out and served on the tray.

It didn’t look very appetizing, it didn’t taste very good either, and left me with tummy aches. Thankfully that was the last of the terrible thin fries.
Flavour-Rating: 5.5/10.

Kept waking up repeatedly. around 01:00hrs, I gave up and got up and on with updating this blog.

‘PRE-TITIVATED’
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

This diary is light in content; sorry about this.
Another busy day of hit and miss,

Busy, busy, and I kept falling asleep,
Jilly calling on me cheered me up a heap!
I need to take the advice of Little Bo-peep!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Up at 06:00hrs, after good doc & mind demanded sleep. (4Hrs)
Blood Pressure checked, sphygmomanometerisationing.
The SYS 147, DIA 76, Pulse 81, the pulse was up a bit at last. The body temperature was just fine at 34.0°c. Then I put the figures into the monitoring site, not the NHS this time, to see how they came out.

It was in pink and out of red, which was pleasing to see.

Needed a belated wee-wee; they started late today. No idea what that means or why I mentioned it, really. No urgency about it, though. I took the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) to be emptied, cleaned and sanitised. En route, the need for the became apparent. I think Trotsky Terence is losing his grip on control of the evacuations a little. Much bleeding from , which have not bled for a week or more. Cleaned the bucket and WC and decided to get the task of the done.
A few cuts shaving and the gums bled a bit doing the teeth. I’ve lost more blood today ablutionalisationing than for many a month. I wonder if the Warfarin level has gone up? Anyway, no pains with it.
In the shower, I got a bigger shock! Harold’s Haemorrhoids were pouring out the blood, down my legs, frit me to death nearly, at first! Not being able to see it properly with the and the shower running, it looked worse than it was. I was amazed that the Germoloid cream had not stopped its flow. After showering, I got the spyglass and checked on the Germoloid tube… Boing! I’d been putting on Germolene by mistake. Not only that, after a good ferret around, I found I had no Germoloid cream at all left! Must order some more ASAP. (Of course, I forgot all about doing it!)
Dried off and fully (nearly) medicated, and with fresh clothes and PP’s on, I found myself back in the recliner and fast asleep, with the computer left on sleep mode, and when I was woken up an hour or so later, when arrived, I was out of it. Can’t remember much about his visit at all, just odd bits, but they are blurry.
I’m not surprised. I think I was up for 22 hours on the trot, no wonder I was heavy-eye-lidded. After Richard had gone, I sank back into a deep sleep again!

The landline burst forth and flashed! I could have cried! Hehehe! Half-asleep still, I rose from the c1698 recliner, , but got to ut before they rang off. It was the kind-sounding lady from the Easylink transport to confirm she will be here in the morning at 10:20hrs and the return time and destination. I thanked her very much for taking the bother to let me know and how I appreciated it.
The Toe-Stubbing turned out to be a serious one, I’d hit the tow that the chiropodist had cut on my last visit, and now that was bleeding – made a bleeding mess of my slippers as well. Tsk!
It took me yonks to get it cleaned up; toes are not easy to reach nowadays. Haha!
Of course, I’d still not started on the blog yet, and it is nearing midday already!
Despite all the ailments and bleeding, it felt good that and had eased off after two or three days of agony giving between them.
So it’s not all bad,
and He did it again!

I tried to work out how many times this overpaid, money-making, incapable,  supercilious did I say overpaid? number-crunching, customer-hating, prestidigitation, legerdemain,  and clever illusion-giver that he knows anything at all about running an internet company; Fries, boss of Liberty-Global (Worth around US$ 14.86 billion)  and Virgin Media, has gone down in the last two days. Eight, at the least. Just thought I’d mention, like.

The sun was coming around to face the flats. I took this picture in sunset mode with the new to me but old Panasonic-Lumix camera. Not very good, was it?
After this, the mind-blanks came as I started to feel tired, and much of the afternoon was lost to me. The few photos I’d taken helped trigger the memory a tad.
The evening carer arrived; Sam, I think her name was. We had a little chinwag after taking the medications. She chose a can of Tango for the thank you treat and took the waste bag with her as she departed.
I was doing the blogging after she’d gone, and I went to get a cold drink from the fridge.

I‘m so glad I did. As you can see in the top picture, the sun was barely visible on the horizon; I hastily got the Lumix camera, took this one, and then I zoomed in to get a close-up of the tiny bit of sun still showing.
Not a bad effort for me, I thought.
I’ll not mention that I had to take seven shots to get one that was usable. Haha!
I got back into computing; it was a hard slog. It always is, just lately. when the eyelids start dropping, concentration fails me, and the usual tiredness-prompted ailments start kicking off. Making the job no pleasure at all. and I’m sad to say, began to stab away at me.
Nowhere near completed the blog yet, so I’ll abandon it and hope and pray I get time to finish it in the morning. It’ll test my concentration then, having to sort out times and needs for the Diabetes session. Got to be done; I just hope I do better at it than the last time.
Back in a few hours… I hope.

Tempted to sing, ♫ Food Glorious Food! ♫. But it wasn’t so good after all. The veggie pasty was not nice at all. I shan’t be getting those ones again.

Overall Taste Rating: 3.5/10.

06:25hrs: ♫Morning has broken…♫ It needn’t have bothered me. I’m not up to it today. Woke up with an automated-instant-depression hanging over me – EQ telling me things were not going to go well: unfortunately, he is usually right in his warnings of doom, failure and frustrations forecasting!
Got the done, again in auto mode: for worries from nowhere were developing of the days prospects. Hope I’m wrong!
Still, the SYS 128. DIA 66 and Pulse were at 70 bpm, and a body temperature of 33.3°f was not to be sniffed at. The best set of results for six weeks or so! Grrreat!

Tackled next, as I was finishing, the door chime burst into life; I heard it because I’d left the wet room door open.

I realised at the ♫ Oh Susana ♫ played that I had not unlocked the door. Luckily I’d just got the trews on, so was semi-decent to go and admit the Carer.
A new to me gal pointed out my head, chin, and neck were bleeding. I thought the shaving had gone well, but. The gal got some paper towels and dried up the nicks for me. She’d tried to get in the key box but could not. The gal is not on her own. About eight other carers have had similar problems.
Being Friday, they are still charging me for doing the laundry (Wonder if Fries owns Meridian? Haha! So being as I’m paying for it, I chatted away with the gal.
Unfortunately, after asking her what her name was – twice, I did not write it down straight away. Thanks to you, Doreen Dementia! However, I am pretty sure that maybe her name was Joanne or Josie. Jeanie? Perhaps. A nice gal who took the waste bags with her.

I got on the computer to update this as soon as possible and get it sent off to WordPress. Then get ready the things needed for the Diabetes Session.

TTFNski!
