Terrible dark night bag!
Only four visits today.
The main bother today was. The urine was still dark.
Took this shot of the 03:30hrs morning view. Back to the Throne.
Day pouch filled up quickly without me having anything to eat yet? Darker than ever now?
A wobbly shot of the moon taken.
Medical items are listed for the nurse.
Tray washed, waste bags amalgamated.
Then found some out-of-date food, so another bag to go.
No idea why I took this one.
Carer Shaquille arrived. Put on the fresh day bag. Medications issued. Treats and off he went, taking the bags with him. Thank you.
Carer Chris arrived doing domestic. Mopped the kitchen with the speedmop, and wet room for me.
Wash and mess made and cleaned up after using the Trotsky-controlled Porcelain Throne.
Mug of tea at long last.
Carer Sam arrived PM. I made an order for Asda for next week. played up doing it, summat rotten!
I missed this shot off, of the third try this morning.
Spent hours getting CorelDraw to perform for me. Managed it, but don’t know how?.

Going to sort some food out now. See ya later! I hope!
Morning, I’m backeth with you…
. Tried again… Ah, that was better. Taken to the right.
Too tired to cook owt, so I had a Pork Farms Pork pie, pickled beetroot, and Milk Roll bread… with slices of Flora not-butter, butter. The new recipe Pork Farms pork pies, were pale, fatty, and tasteless. But the beetroots was nice, and the Milk Roll bread with the gorgeous Flora no-butter butter… Great! Taste-Rating: 6.5/10. I still ate it all. Then a brainwave appeared! I’ll put the jelly in a dish and cover it with some of the cream spray. So, I did. Here is the photo taken… I hadn’t noticed it last night, but when I came to uploading it this morning, my Pareidoliaising could see something in the bowl. Can you see it, before reading further?

↓ Purely by accident, I’d created the face of a curly white-haired dog as I sprayed the cream on? Haha! I wonder if the Tate Gallery would be interested?
I tried a final photo after washing the dishes. again! A bit better, I suppose.
I find it so easy to falter, Often getting into a fluster, Get conned by a fraudster… I’ve already paid the undertaker, Hope he wasn’t another trickster! All my life, I’ve been a bystander, I should have been boulder… Been more of a grandstander? To avoid the many a cold shoulder, I could meet Putin, the genocider? Both dead, we couldn’t kill each other! My real wish is to again meet Grizelda!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – High & Lowlights… The Ablutioning sessions, of which there were many, were all unpleasant affairs, with being in full control throughout.
The telephone and Panic-Alarm were still not working. could not find my mobile phone anywhere. I did eventually find him, hidden within the depths of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand, bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner. Amazingly, I seemed to have wrapped it up in a blue plastic bag & tied it up in the way I would for the waste bin bags? Don’t ask; I cannot remember doing this at all, apparently, I did it in my nocturnal slumber?
ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, had finally been told that the phone and alarm were not working, and she responded by coming to see me, to explain. She had not been informed until told her this morning. Bless him, of my problem. It turns out, that many other tenants have the same problem and are telephone and Panic-Alarmless, just like what I am. She had rung Virgin about the situation, and got a reply, from .
Apparently, the letters sent out, told us that we had until December whatever to sort out the fibre change; in fact, it was November, not December, in error. Not bad for , those who pay their CO, $62m million-plus salary with guaranteed bonus in shares, and an open-ended expense account. Worryingly, they own or have money invested in every single internet supplier in the UK. Virgin, BT, Vodaphone, EE, Three, Talk-Talk, and dozens of others in Europe! They are all going ‘fibre’. I wonder if they all left people at risk without the safety of their landlines and emergency alarms?
I’ve written before about the failing of . Mainly due to my jealousy of how much Mr Fries gets for letting such things happen, and still gets his million in slaty and bonuses. I did read that during the Covid period, he got a $1m monthly bonus! $62m a year! Jealous? Me? Spit! Especially as he left me in the shit! Truly Oligarchal!
Anyway, thanks to Deana’s intervention and help, each abandoned and let down by , will receive an adaptor, which will be posted to us. I have got to ask the carer on the day to inform Deana, and she will arrange for it to be fitted for each client. Well, that’s saved s from sending people out to fit them, hasn’t it? Further proof of my suspicion of the smoke and mirrors, thaumaturgy, number-crunching, figure-shuffling, illusion, deception, and hocus-pocusing, that is a daily part of their activities. I’m glad I got that off of my chest… just waiting for the incoming Lawyers (Bet that they have shares in them, too) letter, summons for slander, or whatever it is called – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Onward…
Got up at 04:00hrs. I took a photo of the nocturnal catheter pouch and busied away cleaning and sorting
Great balls of fire! I nearly took a decent shot of the early morning view from the kitchen window… Wow!
During the ‘Couldn’t get a connection with for two hours”, my spirits sank to a new depth. Surely they had not cut off the internet as well! Argh! Turned off the computer, and I tried again, but no luck. Reset the router. But no luck! Took the router plug out of the socket. Waited half a minute, and back in and turned on the power. Surely this time, I thought. But no luck! While I was pondering on what else I could try… Norton came on, telling me I was connected to an unsafe connection? I did a Norton Virus Check. Then goon with the blogging at long last… Within a minute, the connection was lost again! I tried resetting the router again. Minutes later, it was back on. Had to go through another Norton Check. But this time, the stayed on. Well, for an hour or so. It went down several times again later, but I didn’t have to resort to all that bother these times. But of course, I am developing a hatred of Norton now; it comes up each time I reconnect… Ah, I wonder if they have investments in Norton too? Scumballs!.
A couple of photographs here that confused me. Why did I take this one? And what was this one of?
Got the waste bags sorted.
Then the Asda order arrived. The man put them in the provided Iceland bags. Bad news on the tomatoes. They were Spanish and bitter foul tasting. I wish they’d say where they were from on the internet listings! Wonder how many will have black spots on the this time? Bottom freezer draw. Middle freezer draw. I didn’t photo the top draw, cause I couldn’t open it. Too full! Hehe! Top food cupboard. Bottom food cupboard. I’ll not starve then! Mind you, I might bleed to death, die from another stroke to heart attack; thanks very much to cocking things up again and leaving me without a lifeline. Humph!
Teatime views. An odd bit of blue on the clouds? Pretty though!
Curried beans, tomato passata, with I got a mite carried away with the seasoning? However, Taste-Rating: 8.6/10.
Here is a quick rundown on things amiss… No one has appeared about the telephone and alarm not working. I’m not sure if anyone has been informed yet. . & are both unhappy and complaining the only way they know how. was in complete and total control of every one of the . (Three up to now) I burnt a finger on the oven getting the potatoes out… having left them on all night. Luckily, on the low oven heat setting.I dropped several off the tray, lost my balance, bent down to pick them up and trod on a few. They almost blew up into tiny bits like soot, and the floor had to be cleaned. But the bruise on my head, when I hit it on the cupboard corner is clearing up nicely now. Pathetically, I was too nervous to get a shower and shave. Due to fear of a tumble, trip or whatever, and having no way of summoning help now the telephone & the alarm systems are down. Most of the s I have, happen in the wet room. Showering or shaving. Tsk! Whimp! who put the on for me; I thought he had done an excellent job. But the left one came undone, and I all but took a tumble, treading onto the flapping bit with the Teflon. Bloody good job, I didn’t cause I’d be stuck on the floor waiting until the next carer’s call! Phew! Bit of luck there! made the second call. What a treasure. After mentioning the telephone and alarm problem to the gal, she took the machines to pieces and then rang a number she found for the supplier. Next, she looked at the batteries in each device and put new ones in the telephone, but it still didn’t work, as didn’t the alarm box. Lovely of her to care. I’d be lost without Kara & Joe-Anne. The people she rang said they would investigate the problem. So went the day up until 16:30hrs, and I’m just starting this blog. I fank You! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
04:00hrs: I reluctantly semi-woke-up up and forced myself out of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, Haemorrhoid Harold-testing, sleep-deterring, nauseatingly beige-coloured, not-working, recliner, bent down to take off the . I should have read the signs of foreboding, really, with all my experience of cock-ups and . As I raised my gargantuan bellied mass up onto my poorly damaged legs, the Nocturnal Nibbling signs, gave way, and the broken pieces of the cheese curls bounced from the recliner onto the carpet as my bum and overweighted body involuntarily dropped back onto the chair cushioning, along with the TV remote control – I have yet to discover where precisely that it landed. I’d not done yet… oh no! As I was taking off the pouch, guess what happened? Go on… Alright, I’ll tell yers. A short but painful began.Enough to cause a against the metal chair wheel. I merely laughed it all off, of course. Removed the pouch and had an unsuccessful search for the TV remote control.
I hobbled into the kitchen, now intent on taking some good photographs through the kitchenette window of the early morning view on offer. As you can see, they were not particularly good. While putting the kettle on, I realised I had not taken my mobile phone or even. One of the sticks with me. So I returned to the front room to collect them both. It was a very sensible move to keep the mobile with me at all times while the Help Alarm was not working. I got my, but could I find the mobile phone? No! How can all this lousy luck happen to me? That was a mammoth, obviously silly question!. I placed the waste bags into two larger ones near the front door. Then I started a Sherlock Holmesian investigation into where the TV remote and Nokia phone were hiding from me. Starting with the front room, naturally. An hour or so later, I’d already found the Nokia. It was in plain sight on the ottoman tray, next to the soda and tonic bottles, of which I have to drink four litres minimum a day. Theoretically, so as to assist the flow of urine from the infected bladder out into the day or nocturnal pouches. It’s not working. And, nor was my super-modern Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, Fingerprint (under display optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Fast wireless charging 10W – Qi Battery mobile phone when I found it where I first looked for it, in the first place. The photo gives it away, dunnit? Hehehe!
As with all the visits today, no doubt about it, was ruling the proceedings 100%. The evacuation performance, I would estimate, took about a minute all in. The cleaning up afterwards cost me nearly a whole roll of toilet paper and at least fifteen minutes of grafting to clean up each time!
This early morning shot of the balcony windows shows how cold it was today to start with, anyway.
At 09:30hrs, Carer Chris arrived and got me the leg and ankle straps. Issued the medications, had a drinkie, which I insisted upon, and shot off on his rounds.
Odeing then blogging tackled, but it was the usual error-ridden affair for several hours. Think I spent an equal amount of time correcting things.
The sun made it through suddenly, and I hastened to get my and take this shot of the end car park for your perusal. No rain today, as is shown by the lack of the mudslide.
, although I now think it should be spelt Joe-Anne, arrived in good spirits. This is when she kindly did some investigative work on the telephone problem and rang the suppliers to ask for help, for me. ♥
PM Clouds are beautiful! . An hour later, darker. Half an hour later, with the sun having a last bash at getting through… Still lovely, though.
I bet you spotted this one? Easy-peazy! Haha!
Took these as I got the potatoes in the oven. I did spot something of interest. There seemed to be a cloud, either rising from the ground or going down to the ground. I took a zoomed shot Yep. it might be a chimney? I’d love to know. I’ll try to remember to have a look tomorrow.
Better get the nosh prepared now. Taste-~Rating: 7.3/10.
Washing the pots, I took this late-night shot from the kitchenette window… leaving the hot water tap running to go cold as I did so. I cursed myself a few times and almost spat in disgust at my regular occurring tap-leaving on!
I added this one in the morning. I think I used it before but didn’t get any responses then. I can recall them all. Not that I could afford them often, but the Cadbury’s Neopolitan Flat Twenty were my favourites. Followed by the Punch Bar.
Getting properly miffed at this!Green gunge cleaner & freshener
J Sainsbury’s order arrived. First two bags were emptied. Next bag. Another bag.
I realised that many items had been delivered, not charged for, that I didn’t order! Here they are… Posh biscuits, Amaretti and Biscotti. Orange juice and Mayo. Custard Creams. Garlic Paste. Coffee. Parsnips. Box of 12 cans of cat food.
I tried to phone them to let them know, but the phone is not working now! Grrr! So I Emailed them.
The Sourdough Soda Bread was irresistible. I heavily buttered two slices and had some tomatoes with them.
It’s a late afternoon shot.
Early evening shot.
During the day, mind blanks took place, and I’m not in good shape. Mentally.
I got a call from the Doctor’s surgery about the INR confusion over appointments. I’ll explain the situation at that moment: I’d just decided to phone JS about the items delivered that were not mine… The landline had stopped working! I was struggling not to lose things already. Pain and bleeding from Little Inchy and the catheter tube. Worried about the bed not being sorted. Both started giving me angst. burst into life, and I was struggling to keep it together; how, who do I ask for help with sorting the phone, the appointments, the letter from the bank, the stomach aches, the odd messy visits, not being able to walk without risk of tumbling, , the JS problem. Then, just as a dawned… my mobile rang. This was the receptionist at the surgery. This came at a time when etiquette was not at the top of my mind. Self-pity and frustrations were. My lowest point of the day. The brain was not coping well. I fear that I let out what can only be classed as a desperate rant about my current problems and state of mind. The Catheter being in for so long, the leaking legs, my walking problems and other stuff, no doubt. Full credit to the kind lady. She did not interrupt me while I was in full flow of pathetically releasing my frustrations and problems to her. She offered to make an appointment with the Doctor for me. I’d explained during my stuttering verbal rampage about my problems getting to the surgery or anywhere else for that matter. She said she could arrange and book me in for a phone-call-visit with the Doctor. But not until Wednesday next. I agreed without any hassle. By now, I had lost my panic mode status – replaced with tremendous guilt at my little sad outburst. Thanked her and returned to a harassed, frustrated mode again. Full of shame! But realised that nothing had improved, and my panic stations returned.
Nosh – Lost photo?
Medications removed all of the . Then she attached the for me.
Carried out the balance routine, rose gingerly, and into the kitchen with in tow. Got the waste bags collated and taken to the front door, ready for collection by the kind Carers.
The stomach rumbled and squelched inside. Off to the wet room I hastened. I was very nervous, thinking that I would not make it in time. However, things did not go to plan. Nothing unusual there, then! Getting the motion started was a long and painful exercise. To mask the pain of forcing things along, I had a go at the crossword book. Then, I counted the cracks in the ceiling and spots of dirt on the floor and mat. Eventually, a grindingly hurtfully slow evacuation began. It took ages and stopped part-way for a moment. I thought something would give inside my rear end, to maybe even split open! The exiting torpedo eventually freed itself with a clunk and splash! Immediately followed by perhaps a gallon or two of stinking, almost liquid follow-up! It was such a pleasure when it finally cleared! I’ll not waffle on too much about these events, just to tell you that three more evacuations during the day and night were all similar. (And the innards are still rumbling) Oh, dearie me!
I thought a mug of Glengettie might settle the tummy, and I made a strong brew and drank it… That did me no good! Back to the for visit number two. I’m getting all behind with things already, having to spend so much time cleaning up the Porcelain and myself regularly. Getting miffed off with these strange evacuations.
The tea went cold again. I went into the kitchen to wash the mug and took pictures of the morning view. Not too bad an effort for me. In the second photo, at last, I captured a shot of Venus in which you can actually almost see the planet! .
I’d apparently done the updating of the Monday blog. It took a good four hours to achieve this. I say apparently because I cannot recall anything for that period, even who the Carer was called. I had to look at the singing-in register to find out.
Arrived later. I was not entirely with it, and I will have to ask her if anything was decided that I need to do next time she calls. I’m sure she rang someone for me… I think.
I vaguely remember taking these two photographs of the view from the kitchenette. And thinking about how unique nature is, producing such views of beauty. While tellurians continue eating, bullying, murdering, killing and hating each other. Just a thought.
I used to take the picture on the right. My being I got the idea to make this photo with the sun out, a little more interesting, and CorelDrawed in an additional graphic on an arm and finger. At the time, I think I had an amusing quip in mind to add to it… but with the attention of , the idea escaped the clutches of my inattentive memory. Most annoying. So, if anyone can think of a funny or suitable quote, please let me know… it might be the one I had and lost? Hahaha!
Challenge No. 2 I took this snap of the TV screen in the evening. A sad, blurry effort. But I thought it might be an idea to see if anyone in the know of British TV shows can identify the character… with the following clues, please. 1) A show recorded in Yorkshire. 2) Character names include Oscar, Greengrass, and Nick (the one in the photo). 3). The photoed character usually wears a uniform 4) A Buddy Holly song, the name of which is the series name, played at the start and finish of the programme. WHAT WAS IT CALLED?
The Nosh! Shortcrust pie, tomatoes, a bread roll, Followed by a pot of children’s jelly. Hehe! The innards burst into like within half an hour! Back with great haste to the again. It was the same performance, be it took even longer to escape this time!
After trying to get to sleep for an hour or two last night, I realised the futility and got up to have a walk around the flat. (I may have spat and cursed a little.) As went to pick up my to carry with me, I found that nothing had gone from the bladder to the bag! The moment I’d heaved my rhinoceros-like, but flabby body from the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner Within seconds the evacuation from my bladder to the night-pouch started. Phew!
Got back to sleep, and four hours or so later, I rose again from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. Off to get the kettle on for brew of Glengettie. On seeing Venus up in the sky, I wobbled back into the living room and got , and took this shot. A much better effort. You can actually see the planet!
I was planning… Yes, I do sometimes! To get the date tabs done on CorelDraw for the blogs, then get the ablutions done… Best laid plans of mice, men and Inchy? I thought then, “I’m doing well here, really getting a crack on with these tabs”. I’d done five days worth of them… Then… I realised I’d put the wrong year on them all! However, I did have a stroke of good luck as well, though. Oh, Yes! I’d not converted them to Bitmap yet, only grouped each graphic. So, had to go to each page again, ungroup them individually, and correct the dates. This meant I would not have time to spare for the two-hour minimum session, as the carer would arrive as I was abluting. No carer should see me in my naked state! It just wouldn’t be fair, and may even prove fatal to them. Imagine the shock for they would suffer. Hehehe! I pressed on with the blogging and got deeply into it. I then noticed at 10:00hrs, that no Carer had called yet. Hope they are alright.
I’d forgotten about making the brew of tea. So I did! As I got to drinking it, the need for the utilisationing of the arose. I hobbled to the wet room, and the evacuation soon started… but didn’t seem to want to stop! Several times I thought it was over, but no! More spat out again, spraying liquid poo-poo everywhere it was possible to do so! Took me ages to clean up.
Back to the computer, and the now very-cold mug of Glengettie tea! I gave up trying to get a drink and opened another bottle of tonic water. Tsk! Washed the mug, hung it up, and in walked Carer Selena. I asked her if she was okay. Had she had any bother that had delayed her, with it being well gone 10 o’clock now? A little smile appeared on her face. You know, one of those “Oh, dear, what a clot” looks. Yes, yet again, I had missed the changing the clocks! Looking & feeling a fool, comes naturally to me! Selena took the three large but not heavy bags of waste with her from the doorway for me. And,
I made yet another mug of tea. Seeing the beautiful cloud formations, I got from my pocket I took a photographicalisation of the mornings… well, near lunchtime now, view! I’m not sure why, the the odd chubby cloud on the top left of this photo, seemed out of place to me, but it did? An alien spacecraft incognito? Haha!
Carer Joe-Anne arrived. We had a netter… or even a natter, while she sorted the meds out for me. A good gal!
WARNING: X-RATED BUT HILARIOUSStarting with a visit to the WC. Cleaning the teeth, yes, the gums bled!Shaving produced… ready for this? Not a Single Cut! – . Showering… Ah, well, that didn’t go too well. Got the shower chair in position… Went to close the shower curtain and…
The end loop shot off of the ceiling rail. Then the fun started; I had to fetch the little step ladders from the front room, to reach to replace the ring. against the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. I used the flattened step ladder as I would a walking frame to get back to the wet room. Got inside, and tried to make sure the stepladder was as firm as possible before proceeding up to get to the curtain rail… ! I caught the top plaster on the right leg, against a sharp bit of bent metal on the step, and off came the plaster pad, followed by a fair amount of flowing fluid & blood! Argh! I got some kitchen towelling on the hole in the leg ASAP, and it wasn’t long before I realised that this was not going to work. Being a Sunday, there were no district nurses on duty, so, being a man of the calibre wot I am, I did not panic, and coped calmly, and practically with the situation at hand. I went in the front room to get a pad from the nurse’s dollop of medical stuff… I found one about the right size and returned with it to the wet room… As I entered, I managed to bang my right shoulder against the door frame. This was already still painful from the Covid jab, and now, it had set off . I wasn’t sure whether to cry, scream or what!I had to stop for a moment or two to collect balance and mind… not that collecting my mind would be of much use. HaHa! Then, I found I’d left a trail of blood from the front room, and hallway, to the shower! I opted to cry! Not really! Dried up the bit of blood still flowing, and decided to get on with the curtain hook, then get the shower and let the leg get plenty of water on it, then dry it, and put the pre-medicated plaster onto the wound. I shut the door, gingerly got up the ladder, and on the fourth try, got the hook back in the curtain ring. Got into the shower, settled into the chair as instructed, and pressed the start button… I’d not turned on the power box!!!That being outside in the hallway, I went out to the hallway and pressed it. Nearly tripping over the slippers I left outside the wet room door to get into in the event that I would ever be able to get through this painful marathon ablution session alive, of course! But it wasn’t over yet… Back into the shower, settled again in the chair, and pressed the button, and the water flowed. The nurse told me on Friday that I can shower again, but need to make sure the plasters are kept dry. The actual showering went reasonably well once I started… apart from the customary cracking of my elbow on the grab rail. At least I didn’t head but the power box this time. Spent a good while having a good scrub-up. I got out, and dried myself off without too much hassle… which now left me with the two most dangerous tasks; personal medicationalisationing areas to be treated, and getting dressed! Fear didn’t come into it… I tackled the jobs as any heroic, brave, disabled nerk would.
The earholes were olive-oiled
Drank milk for Blepharitis gel was applied to the eyes. Germolene & Germoloided. Gelled. Phorpain Gelled , and Gengigelled Both eyes. Pain Relief Taken. Peptac for & Saline Nasal Spray was used. Medicated plaster was put on the leg wound.
Getting the PPs on… No injuries! Just painful!
I applied a 20/1 solution of Dettol to the legs. Which looked better than yesterday.
Stung a bit, but nothing to hero like me.
I’d just got out of the wet room, as was arriving. He’s bought the laundry back up for me. I’m afraid it was more than damp – as I squeezed the dressing gown taking it out of the bag, water escaped and dripped on the already blood-wet carpet! Medications given. No painkillers cause I’d already had the Codeine. No Peptac was needed cause I hadn’t eaten anything yet, and we had a little natter.
Then I got the cleaning up done from the ablution disasters – this is all a common happening for Inchy.
While events were still in the affected memory, I got writing this piece above.
I was still writing this, many hours later, when Benjamin returned on his last visit. He helped me get the diabetic socks back on. Emptied the urine jug for me as well.
I was so tired out and still in a little discomfort after the farcical ablutions session. So turned off the computer.
Took this photograph as I checked on the spuds cooking. A kitchen view, straight ahead.
Then got the nosh prepared. A none-meat, meat Soy pie. Boiled & sliced potatoes, And rock-hard baby beetroots. Flavour Rating 6.2/10.
Washed the pots, and got down in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner. In search of some sleep about 03:00hrs. It took a while.
03:30: Woke and spent a few minutes worrying over anything and everything. I could feel the ticker beating heavily, so I stayed there in the c1966, £300 pound, second-hand charity-shop bought, crumb-containing, odour-retaining, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, nauseatingly beige coloured, non-working, virus-breeding recliner, and spent time on concentrating what needs doing today, then had to work out what day it was. Plainly, I must have been having a dream that affected me, but I cannot recall having one?
Then I detached the night bag from the gripper on the . The pouch was lighter in colour and much fuller than of late.
Feeling much better now, I got the waste bags into one bag… and taken to the front door.
A different than of late colouring to the morning view from the kitchenette window.
I made up some Spring Water bottles, adding a little orange juice and lime to the other.
Remembering I’d not even started yesterday’s blog yet, I got the computer on to add the photos from the Kodak… but…
Then I got carried away again, making up the personal diary I’ve been doing for years, on Excel. I tried the internet a few times, and eventually, it came back on… for five minutes! Back to the dictionary of words. back on.
Back to the dictionary of words.
It was struggling to get back on, so I lost aeons saving everything, all off – and again had to reset the box. Wait the regulation for 10 minutes and turn it back on. Twice, before it activated!
Got carried away again, and the Carer arrived. Blimey! I’d been up for about five hours already and I’d got nowt done! It was Carer Rhamat, a nice gal. I took her Blood pressure as I took mine. Hers came out as ‘IDEAL’ on the NHS thingamabob. SYS 120, DIA 70, Pulse 91, Temperature 36.8 Great! Mine? Well… SYS 148 DIA 78 Pulse, 74 Temp 36.9.
At last, I made a start on yesterday’s blog. Time is running out already!I persisted, despite the failure now at
Got the blog posted to WordPress, and off to the wet room to activate the functionalisationing. The new Sudocrem ointment is not effective at all, I’m afraid. Germolene and Germoloids supply are so low now! Having to ration the use of them, but paying for this in terms of discomfort and pain. Does the Prime (No idea) Minister know?
Brightening up a little out there. lovely puffers!
The summoned me back to the wet room. This time it was back in control.

Then I got the eyes done. and then when that had dried the As I was about to check to see if I had some more Olive Oil in stock to use… the pouch began to slip down. THE bladder was pumping it out better, as it does now and then, to catch me out! Then… and it’ll be hard to explain this, but I’ll try to… I bent to empty the , as I was flipping the rubber end to encourage the final few drops of urine to come out… I think something shot out of the tube… Here is the best photo I could manage of it with the Kodak… I could swear it was an insect of some sort. Where it came from puzzled me. The urine was almost a clear colour and I poured some to investigate what the thing was. It appeared to have tentacles at the thick end, and a head, at the other. It shows up as red for some reason on the picture and is not clear. Bit in the urine, and after getting it out, it looked dark blue to me? Another Mystery of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasm, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? I wondered what the third one would be… they say puzzles come in threes?
For a change, when the current bottle of spring water ran out, I had a can of Bud (alcohol-free) never tried it before. And, I’ll never try it again, terrible! Ah, well… So, I made a reliable mug of Glengettie tea, unfortunately, this means none will be allowed for me tonight. Two a day is the limit… mind you, I can have as many mugs of decaffeinated as I fancy. Have you ever tried decaf tea? Don’t! Urgh!
The toes and extremities were even whiter today!
Last photo of the day. Well, I did take three more, but I’d left the flipping SD card in the reader and didn’t realise. Grumph!
I woke after what I believed was a six-hour dream, and the memory of the ‘Gone-Missing-Laundry’ came to mind; as I was getting depressed and morbid at the prospects of having no dressing gowns, spending a fortune to replace them and the throws that may turn up, or likely will never will, and the email from the bank asking for confirmation and why I have bought the same things that I~~ did three months ago…
Then the real worry came to me. Wearing trousers for the Brain Scan at the hospital which is going to produce at least agony to poor Little Inchy as the catheter tube pulls and tugs again his fungal lesion. Next, the thought of having no dressing gown to change into and get out of the pain-giving trews when I get home to relieve the pain hit me… Argh!
A Mild Depression Dawned!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – When I forced my tormented body and mind to rise from the depths of the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, I found that the Catheter punch contents were…
. At the highest level of colouration on the chart. .
I think there may be a slight chance, remote possibility, hundred-to-one shot, that today may not be a good one. Then again, when was my last good day? was not too hopeful of finding my ‘taken-away-to-be-laundered clothing’. The chances, must be slim, but she did say she’d have another look around for me.
Found my laundry. But no throws in there.
Morning: CorelDraw not letting me add any photos. Trouble getting into WP. Mousee taking me left & right, not up and down? Fearing the worse here…
The laundry, containing three nightgowns, I have another that I’m wearing at the moment that is getting a smidgeon whiffy, appears to have been lost or returned to the wrong client. I’m scared to send any more stuff to the laundry. The value of these dressing gowns is infinitesimal… no, sorry, I meant inestimable; Purely for the pain relief they give me from wearing trousers with the tube inserted into Little Inchie, thus causing agony, and . So, when indoors, I do not wear trousers at all, just one of the now sadly gone missing at the laundry dressing gowns. Tomorrow, I must get the trews on again to go to the QMC for the first brain scan. Lift arriving at 12:30hrs – lift home at 15:30hrs. Easy-Link confirmed this on a telephone call today. Bless them. The thought of having no dressing gown to wear when I return is galling. I dare not go around with just a gown on when someone other than Carers is due. I can almost feel the pain from trouser-wearing already. Argh!
There may not be a blog tomorrow – I’ll see how things go, time-wise.

With no larger night bags available – I came close to having an explosion of urine showering this morning. Talk about overfull!
The ankles were a smidge swollen, and the ankle ulcers were more prominent than they usually are. No pains, though.
After a pot of porridge, onto the computer.
Two photos of rare morning glimpses of the sun. Not good ones, mind.
An absolute pleasure doing some pareidoliaing Especially with these cloud-creatures in view.
In the afternoon, the sky became almost of an oh, so pretty Sepia colouring.
Bootiful!
At last, the urine had cleared on the third emptying. But, on the seventh one… Oh, dearie me!
Silly me got these out of order. These ones are from the waking half-hour when. I wandered around the rooms in the dark taking pictures. Why? No idea! But here they are…
Tatters in the slow cooker.
Suddenly not feeling very well. I’ll pack up now, don’t want to be unprepared for the Brain scan tomorrow.
AMAZING (To me) SUNSET SHOTS Early in the evening, ghost-clouds, Awesome. Back to the brown beauties!. Gone from view sun, the sky goes back to blue? Nightie-night! What a series of changes in colour. Never seen this before.
came again. No signs of the laundry being found. This could be costly; three dressing gowns, a bath towel, woolly hats, the Carers’ chair throw, and likely more stuff that went into the bag and will have to be replaced. That is if I don’t mysteriously find the bag hidden somewhere… and if they cannot be located, of course. There is always a chance they may come across them. I kept thinking maybe there were not taken and searching the room… repeatedly; but I never found the bag. I’ve had to order some more dressing gowns, but can’t get them delivered before next week, cost me well over £100 quid. Not much goes right for me… You might have noticed? Huh!
No meal tonight as such. Had a pot noodle, made and added some gravy, and dunked a bread roll in it. Nice!
Got my head down. Nodded off pretty quickly, and it felt as if I had a dream that went on all night. I didn’t wake up once! But the dream, that was of my journeying on a bus somewhere, and it kept getting lost… things seem to be in the 1950s, a conductress in the Bristol Lodekka bus.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Heck of a shock here today! The NHS input site advised me to ring NHS 111 starlight away, So I did!
But they were too busy and told me to visit the NHS 111 site. So, I did.
An hour later, I filled in the questions asked & guessed at the choices made.
Sent it off and was told someone would contact me later. They are very busy, and this may take some time, be patient. So, I did!
I went to make a brew, and the telephone rang – I was surprised I heard it in the kitchen, but, there you are, I did.
Answered many questions and had to guess at a few. The nurse had an accent, and the kine was not good, so it took a time to review all the needed details. Ultimately, she decided that the SYSs 128, and 119, with respective DIAs 57 and 59, were okay? This despite the NHS monitoring site telling me it was Too Low and to ring 111?
Don’t feel too confident about this. But then again, it’s unsurprising; they are the lowest readings I’ve ever had?
Well, the lowest B~P readings ever, advised to ring 111 – told to go online, spent ages sorting required details. Told it was okay. And earlier, this above when I woketh up. Similar farces these two. If the blood in the wee is level 6 or 7, I’m supposed to ring 111 – Ha!
I was woken up (Didn’t get settled until around 04:00hrs) and was woken by the arrival of Carer Sam. I was half out of it, having just been stirred reluctantly back to life. Think we had a chinwag, and Sam took the washing nada waste bag on her way out. Thank you.
Porcelain Throne visited, cleaned up the kitchen, dropped the milk bottle, and stubbed my toes again. The brain was not too interested in being creative and went on strike a few times when I got nothing done whatsoever; just seemed to sit here thinking but not knowing why or what of?
The yes were still bad, and concentration as well.
Dizzy Dennis, The Kathleen Catheter tube, and Anne Gyna all gave me bother of some sort. I really was only half here for many hours. Scary! Sort of light-headed, I suppose… mind you, I still am now seven hours later.
Lost the camera but found it a few hours later, hidden in front of me to the right of the computer – How the hell did I miss that?
Liberty-Global Virgin Media went down.
I made a brew and fell asleep for a while…
A while? Four bloody hours!
Carer Jo-Anne arrived; I was still a bit vague about things.
After the gal left… Ah, it was Jo-Anne I think that tool the washing? I could be wrong; of course, it has been known.
No sunset tonight. Boo!
Found the camera.
Lost the eye drops.
Sadly no chance of any sunset tonight… Sob!
Took early evening shots.
A couple of hours late, these…
Very little snow left now
Then got the soup and put the potatoes and soya bits in with it, then the seasoning. But could not find the mint sauce? Are a lot of things disappearing today?
Looking okay to me.
Blogging for another hour or two. Got about ten minutes’ worth of work done, Huh!
Carer Ayowoke arrived. The first time I’d seen him. Nice lad. He gave me a roster for next week, no Carer Richard in it! I asked if he knew anything about Richard, but he did not know him.
Did some more effort on this blog, but I still can’t get my head around the NHS telling me to ring NHS 111, and then eventually, telling me to log onto the web with NHS 111. After having to log in all my details, telling me that the Blood Pressure figures were okay?
I got the nosh on and served up. Another part-canned meal. A can of Asda Chunky Lamb & Vegetable soup. Couldn’t find the mint sauce to add to it, I think maybe it may have gone out of date? (Spit!) Added vegetable stock and some Pertranic, Cooked & sliced potatoes, just one finger knick!. Soy bacon thingies added; the final bit… Wholemeal rolls for me to dunk and dip! And soon, I’d demolished it! Eating every morsel and bit! Flavour Rating: 705/10.
The late Carer was Carole-Anne. Still no . We had a mini natter & laugh. Refreshing!
I woke up as my ginormously flabby body hit the floor! Landing conveniently on my bottom, but rather, unfortunately, the burst open . It was the mess of sorting things out that got to me rather than the bleeding itself. Handily, it was almost easy to get me back up on my bloated feet and legs… The first job was to check . I placed some paper towels inside the Protection Pants first, then looked over the pouch, grippers and tubing. All seems to be still attached.
Off to the wet room, giving the door frame a mini shoulder-charge as I went in. That hurt more than anything else did. Hehehe! I didn’t fret about this being half asleep; I expected that , and would cause me some problems. Even joined in with an . Only a little one, but enough for me to knock the Germoloid, Daktacort and Savlon creams off of the floor cabinet. Then after the haemorrhoids were treated… the always ‘Painful-Job’ of Cleaning up and ointmentationing !
After a multitude of Argh! – Ouches, curse words and loathings, and a moment of ‘Why Me Mate’ emotions, it was done.
REFLECTIONS
I was amazingly calm and physiological about things… at least, I think I was? That’s probably not the word I should have used? It could have been a sign of my acceptance of the circumstances or my rotten luck? I may have been sick to the back teeth (mind you, there’s only one of them left in the mouth now) of hearing myself moan and whining on about my inabilities, ailments, frustrations, Accifauxpas, Whoopsiedangleplops, eyesight, hearing, Cathy Catheter pains, shortage of pouches, and the seemingly never-ending Bladder-Infection. Being bald, overweight, Duodenal Donald, Little Inches Phimosis and fungal lesion, Peripheral Neuropathy, having two strokes, being shot twice, scared shit of going in water. Now, there’s the , and the . The palpitating of the mechanical ticker. The almost persistent No help attainable for things like the computer and letters that are either too small or complicated for me to hear, see or understand? This will, I assume, be due to the attention gleaned of… .
