Inchcock Today: Diary with Odes

General Ode To The Day

Today, when good luck and success ran away,
Making me want to cry, die, and even pray!
It’s this horrendously-heinous Wednesday!
Very little humour, fun or flimflammery!

Problems of intense magnitude and stupidity…
Errors, Whoopsiedangleplops, and I got all forgettery…
Accifauxpas, mind-blanks, bonkerness and pettifoggery,
So much so my mind requires mental surgery!

I ended up nervous yet showing frustrated badassery!
The brain crumbled, the body tumbled…
Nothing this day was of the slightest bit ordinary,
Then the innards painfully rumbled…
My last bit of willpower crumbled!

Self-hatred, for myself, and a vile loathing…
So many failures, one in my underclothing!
But that, I’m too ashamed to be describing,
It had some occasions that were nice, touching…
But they were scarce, and so many were scathing!

Computers I should know would mock and beat me…
I thought I’d get the problem sorted, very foolishly!
I’d never have mended it if I tried until next January…
As I should have known, I just made things worse,
I sobbed, got depressed, and voiced many a curse…

I thought at one time, I was growing insanity…
Why am plagued by this unknown, unlucky entity?
It started at birth… and has grown nasty, by plenty!
In my previous life, was I a murderer, a scoundrel? Maybe…

When I’m burnt to ashes by the Brothers Baguley…
I want my mourners to know, there’s no need for sorrow,
At the moment, I’d be content, no, glad to go…
Life’s always been a battle against the flow…
I may miss cheesy potatoes, and bread, buttered sourdough,
Carers like Julia and Jilly both leave me with an afterglow. ♥

Not enough to make me stay here, though!
Life to me has been like at the Alamo…
Surrounded, outnumbered and nowhere to go,
Failings, errors, fretting, my life’s been so!
I’d hoped things would improve, but no, oh, no!

Reincarnation? That would be hard to swallow,
I might return as a soaring eagle or a brave buffalo?
Or most likely a stickleback, mousse or minnow!
See, that’s depression; I’m feeling so low…

And what’s to come later… death, maybe, yes or no,
I’ll continue as a failed saddo and fatso…
I’ll snuff-it, not bothered how maybe tomorrow?
I’ll die never having had a cup of cappuccino!
It’s been forty-odd years since I’ve been on a beano!
My friends and family will gather to say cheerio…
But there’s only three of them, so I don’t know…

They’ll search for my money, and they’ll be very thorough,
Cupboards, drawers, clothes and behind the big photo…
I don’t blame ’em; that’s how it will go…
I can’t take it with me… I don’t mean to crow…

That’s summat else, why did I live life in a constant imbroglio?
Calling things electrical, mechanical, complicated, a gizmo?
Cause the Vascular Dementia Doreen said so?
I had problems; I became an alcoholic, not wino…
Which at the time for me, was no problemo!

I danced like a three-legged drunken rhino…
The gal who said that was named Clio,
Ailments, being shot, being made redundant did follow…
Didn’t matter too much; life was already shallow…
But I’ve always been that way, uneducated and callow…

With quips and replies, I’ve been sharp, never slow,
I once nearly bought a second-hand Volvo…
What that’s got to go with this Ode, I don’t know?
I’m trying to live an inoffensive life, but whereunto?
I’ve lost the plot now. Shall I make a cuppa? Righteo!

It took me that long to formulate this Ode, so many errors, mistakes, and Mind-Blanks! The time is running out for me to get the Diary bit done. So, it will be in condensed form, sorry!

WEDNESDAY 23rd FEBRUARY 2022

A great sleep once I managed to get off. Which was at about 02:00hrs. But, I was well pleased with only jump-waking up three times. On the third, it was already 06:10hrs! So, over four hours, not bad, that. I think the Hemp seems to be working.

As I fought my way out of the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, nauseously beige-coloured, not-working, rusty, rickety, difficile, crumb-covered tatty recliner, two things dawned on me. This morning is the Ocado food delivery twixt 6-7:00hrs, and Cartilage Cathy was still as bad as yesterday. So, I took a Codeine and checked that I had not missed any calls on the intercom – I feared I would not have heard it if he had come early while I was sleeping. No missed calls on the list, so that cheered me a little.

I got the medical checks sorted straight away. The body temperature was still too low. But what should I do? It might be the machine? They tell me to ring 999 if it is below 45°c? But it’s not far off this time.

There was no hassle about the Blood Pressure, though, all looking pretty good, with SIA 152. DIA 74. and Pulse at 80. This seemed fair to me. Glad the BP machine was working after my dropping it yesterday.

Into the kitchenette to put the kettle on, and I trod on something small and challenging – I guessed right, it was an escaped garden pea gone rock hard. Hehe! Made me jump a bit! I also found a tablet?

The intercom rang at 06:30hrs, and the Ocado driver brought the bags up to the flat. Nice chap.

Got the bags into the kitchen; there seemed a lot of them today?

Sorted out what’s what and where they are to go. The frozen Heinz Beanz Burgers went in the freezer, along with the battered cod bites and fishcakes with mushy peas in them. Natoora black tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, steak pie into the fridge, with some difficulty… Cartilage Cathy was in a right rotten mood with me when I bent to get the bottom tray filled. Cor, blimey, was she! But the bending to pick up the peas and pill might have contributed to Cartilage Cathy’s annoyance. Hehe!

Then I moved on to the third or fourth bag. The black box held 12 mini-pots of M&S fruit and jelly. Which I read when ordering to be strawberry flavoured. They had actual fruit in the jelly, but one of them was the forbidden for me pineapples. On a closer look, they also had seeds in them, which will most likely cause me a toothache. They’ll have to go! I know how to live! I made a bottle of spring water up with some of the lemon and lime cordial for later.

I got some fresh garden peas and lemon and lime yoghourts too. Two favourites there!

Just after getting them stored away and returning to the computer, Everything went wrong computer-wise. The icons had shrunk, the screen had gone darker, and Norton came up[ with things that needed attention. Crapwranglers! It was all too much for me, and I ended up changing things, uncertain if I was doing right or wrong. After changing things, it was far worse. I could have cried!

I stopped making changes too late and could not work out how to correct things. I went for a break and made a brew of Glengettie, taking this photograph of the morning view, in which I caught some crows on their way to a tree-top murder in the park. Then around 08:15hrs, the landline rang out. It was the gorgeous Nurse Hristina to tell me she was coming in the morning to do a Warfarin blood test, and I’ll be back on the Enoxaparin injections.

Then it rang again, it was Nicola from Meridian, Carer Richard who was sue to do me and stay with a poorly patient. They have arranged for Carer Julie to come and do me, she’ll be here as soon as possible. Bless her! Thanked her for letting me know.

Doing the updating of the blog for yesterday and got deeper into a mess of confusion with the computer for an hour or so, and the ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune rang out.

Julie got the medications sorted; she had been called in to cover. She was as sweet as ever and helped me with the computer. ♥

After Carer Julie had left, Norton flashed up again. I’d no idea what was what. Humph! Now I cannot access my dropbox or save anything to it!!! The pointer keeps changing size? Oh dearie me! I may have changed something when I had a Norton defrag? I just can’t remember what I changed…

I carried on with this blog. The top Ode taking me yonks to get done. I gave Cartilage Cathy another good rubbing with the Phorpain again. This is the second day of Cathy’s hassle. Never had two days’ worth before.

I stopped computing on the blog to take a look at the food situation and catch up on what, if anything else, is due. I think I’ve ordered a Sainsbury’s order for next Sunday, but Dementia Doreen is determined; I’ll not remember. I’ll check the calendar first. I must get the ablutions done soon.

Yes, JS on Sunday. I’ll do an Iceland one for midweek. All done!

Now back on with this blog.

17:15hrs Ode

The day stopped, as frustration grew, abysmally,
But memories remained of this morning’s jollity.
Although it was just for microscopical scintillae…
I felt my depression wanting to go away…
But would it? Well, maybe one day it may…

Yet I no longer felt the self-hatred, not acidulously,
The evening Carer should soon be coming to see me…
Will they be contented, happy? Or rather grumpy?
Or a chinwagger? Who entertains me wryly?
I hope no one considers a natter avoidably!

Hopefully, one that looks after me, assiduously,
Who doesn’t mind a laugh and is not over assertively…
Carers who really care, I greet applaudingly…
And consider them to be admiringly adorably,
Like Jillie and Julie, compassionate, addictively!

I’ve got the oven on to heat up, to do the chips later, fresh garden peas and a pastie methinks tonight. But I must try not to make too much this time. Ah, it’s 18:00 now; the approx. ETA is twixt 18:00>19:00hrs for the evening carers.

I made a brew and took some photographs of the evening sun setting. Computed a little, took the mug to be washed, and took three more pictures. The ones on the left earlier ones, the right the later ones, but only by about 15 minutes. Mother Nature – absolutely Bootiful!

1848hrs: Carer Kiya came into the room. Having failed again to use the door chime… three times now. I had to ask her again, explaining that I could have been using the grey bucket… It made little difference. But she’s a confident little thing and witty with it. She let us chat for a couple of minutes, chose her nibbles and drink, took the waste bags with her without me asking, of off she went, happily.

I managed to encourage the picture ap to recognise the photo of the end car park at last. I took it this morning around 08:00hrs or thereabouts. Only just got it on the computer. I’m having all sorts of problems with it now –  a case of last legs, methinks? (Me too, Haha!)

No red van, man. Well, he might be in court; you never know. Har-har! Plenty of vehicles compared to normal in there this morning.

Got the chips in the oven, then changed my mind and pulled them straight out again. (I know, I know!) I realised just how late it was now, and I still had to finish this blog. Otherwise, they’d have been cooked to a frazzled by the time I got the blog completed, posted, the Facebooking catch-up done, and photo albums updated. Then I’ve the WordPress Reader reading and commentating to do. The read and answer to the blog comments… Good heavens, I’d better get on with it!…

TTFN.

Inchcock Today: Monday 21st February 2020

Inchcock Today: Monday 21st February 2020

I’m fighting depression; not so much about the cataracts worries, deafness, Peripheral Neuropathy, or Dizzy Dennis visits this time. Can’t load photos, Liberty-Global Virgin Media, and it’s so slow! Mainly due to computer problems.

02:30hrs: I woke and rose this morning, with a terrible foreboding of what is to follow today. Nothing specific, but my EQ warned me that things would not go well. That was all I needed as if I wasn’t low enough to start with!

In between a few wee-wees, I made up some bottles of spring water with lime & lemon cordial. No interest in making a brew? What? And got on to the computer, with an unconfident hope that the photos would load this time…

No-go! I’ve got the meal from last night and some photos I took of the BBC Midland News on the card to use on a snippets blog. I didn’t take any other pictures in anticipation of my luck remaining at the usual level of atrocious.

I finished last nights blog and posted it off. Then went on the WP Reader, comments, and started doing a graphic.

04:10hrs, I heard some clattering from the flat above, not a lot, and not too bad.

Made a start on this blog, and the blustering winds got up so bad. Also, some noises sound like humming machinery, so loud, from above. What’s going on?

I decided to get the ablutionisationing done, stand-up, no showering cause the noise might disturb anyone sleeping. Put the computer into sleep mode. Back in a while… I hope!

Upon my way to the wet room with the day clothes, I discovered the reason behind one of the many noises this Monday morning. As I passed by the airing cupboard and tank room, without my hearing aids in, I heard a noise of water running into the tank occasionally; this is accompanied by a comical gurgling sound? I took the camera in with me out of habit, so I took some photos after the session. Hope they can be uploaded with time… He says without much confidence…

I started with nose and teeth cleaning. Then a need for the Porcelain Throne arose (it does that often, I’ve noticed that).

What a  near-perfect evacuation that ever was! A smooth flow that needed little effort from me. Not phooey! Not runny, not messy. There was a tiny few bits of blood, but the dark red indicated they were from Harold’s Haemorrhoids, so nowt to worry about there! I moved on to readying the shaving tackle things.

I made a tiny cut trying to shave the neck-hole. (“Why when all my hair went years ago; does hair still grow around the neck, and behind the ear-holes? Just a thought”). No Accifauxpas, toe-stubbings, or walking into anything!!! Fair enough, three or four razor drops, but they all fell in the sink, so even that was lucky!

All went well. No need for any attention to Little Inchies fungal lesion – Hurray! Then got dressed… The PP’s first, then the dangerous job… Arthur Itis and Cartilage Kathy, both being very stiff this morning, I ended up having to use Sock-Glide-Glenda! The blister-making and blood-lusting Green Goddess! And she kept up her record of injuring me but not so bad as usual. She’s getting older now? Hahaha!

Just had to take a photo, not being sure if I’d get it on but did later, of the masterstroke of using the precocious Sock-Glide-Glenda. During this procedure, I needed three wee-wees! Sod-it, off again! I hope things calm down soon!

I then took a photograph of the car park at the dead-end of Chestnut Way.

The red-van-man was back in his usual line and chevrons ignoring parking spot. The rain and wind were still so heavy I took this picture through the balcony’s glass.

♫ Oh, Suzana ♫ chimed out – Carer Richard arrived, in a rush, no time for a chinwag. He soon got the medications and alarm battery check done for me. I think Rich was having problems. Richard was not his usual self at all this morning. Hope he’ll be alright. He asked for a bottle of water, I got him one from the stockpile in the kitchen, but he didn’t like the M&S brand, said it was ‘crap’, I’ll have a Highland one, so I gave him a Highland one. Ha! Said he might be coming on Tuesday, I think, he said. He kindly took the little blue waste bag with him, to the chute, for me.

Sphygmomanometerisationing, at last, showed a lower SIA reading on the Blood pressure. Nice! As was the DIA and Pulse results. Then I got the body temperature taken. That was a smidge higher for once, close to the red-line minimum of 35°c. But not quite there yet, but it’s good to have near enough not to ring anyone as I have been instructed to.

An hour or so struggling with the slow computer, in getting some photos on at last to use. The intercom lit up and buzzed; it was the Iceland delivery arriving. The chap looked soaking-sodden wet, poor thing when he got to the door. He put the bags through to the doorway into the hall for me, only four today, missing items, I bet. Or, mayhaps I curtailed the demands this time? (Only 1 item had to be substituted, and two not available) I did well in the fridge department. I got the diced beef chunks. BBQ Rustlers, BBQ flavoured chips, and frozen beefburgers. I thank you!

A nice filled-fridge again, that’ll do me nicely until the following Monday, methinks. So glad you get the Wall’s microwaveable sausages too!

I’d ordered the wrong potatoes, I noticed. All those cakes, I honestly can’t remember ordering… no, honestly! Ahem! I wanted the Baking ones to try some cheesy potato-making again… Tsk!

I got a packet of the beef chunks in the slow-cooker. They should be ready for tonight’s nosh. I added some BBQ beef gravy seasoning to the slow-cooker pan and a drop of the liquid smoke – a spur of the moment decision… Mmm…

I dropped a packet of beef chunks off for Jenny and Frank; they can do what they like with it. Eat it or give it to a worthy cause. Bless them. Back up to the twelfth floor, and as I was entering the outer flat lobby…

Hehehe! I didn’t half-clout my shoulder on the door frame! I felt such a fool! But there was nobody around to hear the slightly unavuncular language that I muttered. I’d done an excellent job on the shoulder; I got inside and took an extra Codeine and back on the computer blogging.

While I’d been out, the photo thingy had opened on its own, and I got the photo of last nights meal before the program all froze up again. Humph!.

Garden peas, a whole packet, cause they were short-dated from Sainsbury’s. Fish sticks, tomatoes (Lovely they were), buttered sourdough sliced bread (Gorgeous!), a mini lemon cheesecake, and a cheesy twist. I recall eating this with relish. Flavour Rating from memory; 8/10

Then I started prepping the Local News Snipping blog.

Dizzy Dennis cometh on an unwanted visit. I gave up on the computer, with Cataracts Katie and Dennis it was impossible.

Made some nosh. A decent effort methought, but the flavour did not match the viewing. Taste rating: 7/10. The late dated J Sainsbury’s podded peas let it all down, and I do love them usually, but not these out of date ones.

Cheeky Charlie Carer came. Told me off, gave me the medications. She chose a Gin mix and Easter egg for treats, and left without taking the waste bags… but I noticed, and shot out of the door to catch her, asking her to take them…

Serves me right. I clouted my shoulder on the door frame getting back inside. Tsk!

Sleep was hard to get into, and it took me a few hours for some reason. However, once off into the land of nod, I only shot-awake three times overnight. I wonder if the Hemp is working?

Inchcock Today: Liberty-Global Owned Virgin Media, only went down eight times today… Humph!

Ode To The Meal

Not a lot plated, but no danger of maceration,
Preparing this, I got myself another contusion,
Dropped the tray on my foot in confusion…
Fretting over the upcoming phacoemulsification?

A bean-‘n’-cheese and beef pastie, very nice!
Chestnuts to, time for me to gluttonise…
Orange jelly, cream spray… was that wise?
I enjoyed this snack of chestnuts and pies…
Then took my Hemp sleep pill, Gawd, it’s a big size!
Oh, did I just narcotise?

Saturday 19th February 2022

02:40hrs: I woke for only the fifth time of the sleep, but this time not with any jumping or jerking. The brain was more responsive than yesterday’s Whoopsiedangleplop of an awakening. I pondered on the chances of getting back to sleep, but the Thought Storms started… so I rose from the depths of welts and bruises-giving £300, a second-hand recliner, caught my balance easy enough, and limped into the kitchenette to get the kettle on for a brew.

A sudden need to photograph, at that moment, so I went hobblingly back to collect the Canon camera: I tried to get a photo or two,

I tried to get a photo or two,
Of the twinkling morning view,
Opened the window, carefully too,
The sky is now a lovely dark blue…
The results are still under review…
Here on the left for you…
To see and even phoo-phoo,
Sorry, this is the best I could do!

Taking the last one…
I got a wobble on…
It’ll be alright, I reckon…
Another cock-up; not uncommon!

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Yet another change in evacuation style, from messy, runny Trotsky Terence mode yesterday, back to the solid Constipation Konrad style. Ah-well! It came out well. Hahaha!

Made a brew of Thompsons Punjana. Then made a start on updating and finishing off the Friday blog. Hello…

Cor blimey, Herbert’s started banging and clanging away early again. It’s only 0435hrs? Still, I don’t mind, and I am the most vulnerable to his tap-tapping, drilling and clattering of falling metal objects, with living below the ignorant, antisocial, unapproachable, haughty, superior-acting haughty, Snotbag, with my dwelling directly below him. I’m amazed he doesn’t wake others up – not that he woke me, anyway. I assume he’ll be sniggering to himself, thinking that he has disturbed my sleep. Animal!

Doing blogging again, getting the Friday post finished and posted off. Herbert’s quietened down, bless him. I sent the link emails off. Went on the WP comments sections then Opened Facebook…

Would you believe it... again! It’s every single day and several times… Grrr!

And this number-crunching boss of Liberty-Global, who bought to Virgin Media, is deemed to be earning a rare salary of $23M a year! He must really hate his customers! And can’t run his Virgin without failing and annoying his poor sodding customers. But, still, advertises super-speed service? He’ll think, “The limey slobs shouldn’t have signed up with Virgin then… Haha!” And he’d be right!

Fries LIBERTY-GLOBAL STRIKE AGAIN!

The slow Virgin internet returned, and I got on with Facebooking. TFZers, then tried to go on the Winwood Heights Facebook page. Virgin down yet again… Annoyed? Frustrated? Me? YES!

Care Taina arrived. I mentioned the poor state of the laundry, keeping things as light-hearted as I could; the nice gal didn’t want her to think I was blaming her for the crumpled unfolded clothes.

I tempted my Carer, her to her choice of nibbles and drink in thanks. She took the waste bag with her on the way out.

Bless her cotton socks.

During Taina’s visitation, I spotted that suddenly the late moon was in view again in the sky. I hastily grabbed the Canon camera and went to the kitchenette to take some photographicalisations of the planet. Pet from the oddly different blues of the sky, which is likely caused by my dropping the camera the other day, they didn’t come out too bad?

Did some graphic creating for a while on CorelDraw and tried Facebooking again. Hard work concentrating with the contemptuous, hoity-toity, holier-than-thou, antisocial Herbert bashing away. Phew! Hello, he’s stopped…

Blimey, the days going so quickly again. Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, showed a slight increase in the SYS, the DIA, also the PULSE was fine.

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd™, the contactless thermometer was alarming at first glance? Well into the Hypothermia range level! I wasn’t sure if this reading was correct, so I tried talking about the temperature on the ear thermometer. But, as usual, technology got the better of me; all I could get was a ‘Lo’, without an actual temperature. Humph! There is a way to get the reading, but the writing is too small for me to see it.

UNBELIEVABLE!

.

I’m giving up, fed-up, tired, mildly depressed and frustrated!

Oh great! Herbert’s off again, a bit of drilling if I’m not mistaken… mind you, it might be music; listen? If that’s music, it had undertones of Horst-Wed del-Lied, to me.

Going to get summat to eat now. Hopefully, there will be something on the goggle-box to watch that should guarantee me getting some sleep.

Breakneck dash to the Porcelain Throne! Just in time, too. Despite the solid content, things came out at breakneck speed. Oooh!

Got then nosh made, took a snap of it, and now the computer import is not recognising the feeder drive or photo input again.

This could mean the end of any new photos getting on the blog… or anywhere. Humph!

Sat down and nodded off. Carer Chloe arrived and did the medicationalisationings, tablet and medicine-wise. I almost asked her to give me Anoxaparin injections in my stomach, but she didn’t; that would have been horrendous for her, having to bury her arms into the folds of my stomach mass to get a grip of the clump of wobbly-flesh to inject into on both sides… No, too scary for her. Hehehe!

She selected a can of orange and an Easter egg for her treats. Took the waste bags out with her for me to the chute. Bless her!

I hope I can get photos onto the computer in the morning, but EQ tells me I won’t be able to.

Ode To The Day

Deferably I’ve had many a better day…
Whoopsiedangleplops were on display,
Accifauxpas, havocking, as bad as they may…
Computer on its last legs, I must say…
Cataracts made seeing, even harder today,
The photo-reader, not working, Oh, dismay!
The laundry returned to me, in disarray
Noisy Herbert morning, before and after midday,
My strength to cope, usually in a fairish way,
Has collapsed, this mentally-challenging Saturday!
No bath to soak in, in hope problems will soakaway,
Little going right, will things get better? Nay!
Getting my head down, brought mental affray…
Depression creeping in, like maggots or larvae…
Thought-Storms torment, ballistically!
In a  dream… things went apocalyptically…
Sour dysthymias, will not go away…
I want them too… I can only pray!

A Slightly Depressing Day, for which I am Sorry

Inchies Sunday… Not a pretty sight!

Inchies Sunday… Not a pretty sight!

Endamagements, Endangerments & Endurethments
Few Endearments or Enduring qualities
Not to mention the mixed-up Mental-Mind-Menagerie

The day started with my waking up in a panic…

Ode To The Dream

The Good old days, some would say,
I’d say, somewhat bleak and acidulously,
Not so, cause, losing my hair, then-fiancee,
Getting shot and doing a drunken bungee…
I even got stung on Little Inchie by a bumblebee!
All the nurse said, taking out the sting? Was, Hehehe!

A lousy sleep again, and to a degree…
Woke up already depressed, did me!
In my protection pants, I found the pen & notepad,
With tons writing about a dream, I’d had…
I added it at the end of Saturday’s blog, begad!
————————————————————–

I kept waking up again all night. Stirred at 04:00hrs, in need of the porcelain Throne… which I visited and utilised for traditional reasons.

It took me an hour! This was due to faecal impaction, the likes of which put last week’s problems in the shade! I even got a few answers in the crossword book done! (Had to cheat on three, though, to get me going. Tsk!)

Made up the ode to the dream and put it at the end of yesterdays Inchcock Today posting. Took a snap of the dark, dank rainy morning and made a brew. It took a while, but I was happy-ish with it.

I decided today for a change. Made a start on Josie’s Sunday lunch treat. I’ll not put the potatoes in the chillies, and cut some spuds up into small chunks, so I can make them crispy in the oven. Then I can lay them atop her chilli-beef (canned), fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, water chestnuts and five different types of beans, with Worcester sauce, beef and BBQ seasoning.

No expense is spared when I treat someone; they get treated! Mind you, if she doesn’t like it, I’ll get a mouthful. Hahaha! If so, I’ll try to show you the scars.

As I checked on Josie’s cooking, it dawned on me that the so-called Meridian Health & Social Care Carer had not been… Again! For the seventh time! Grunglebogcraps!. So, it is a Saturday, there will… No! I’ll try that again… It being a Sunday, there is no one on-site at the flats, and I have to ring their number and get a Control Room, Birmingham, I think last time. And had to go through the rigmarole of explaining who and where I was, etc… Ah, well, here goes…

I found the Nottingham number required, and I gave them a ring. I got the being transferred message and waited for it to be answered; I made up an ode for later while I was waiting.

A lady answered, but only asked my name, no other details this time? Must they have put my number on the frequent caller list? Haha! The lady put on some music for me while she rang the Carer to see what was happening. She returned a few seconds later, telling me your Carer would be with me by 10:30hrs. I thanked her and got on with the blogging, wee-weeing and checking on Josie’s nosh.

I belatedly got the eye drops, ear drops and nasal spraying done and sorted. During which I got two calls from Meridian. The first at 10:40hrs told me the Carer would be there soon. Then at 10:50hrs, to say she was on her way.

I’d just put the chopped spuds in the oven after chopping them up. I wish now that I’d found some of the metal finger-end-chopping-up protections whatsits, whatever. Tsk!

Still, plenty of more finger plasters. And it didn’t bleed much.

Luckily, I was just returning from one of the umpteenth visits to the Porcelain Throne, and I was near enough to the intercom to hear it and see the light coming on. It was the Carer. A sweet-looking young person appeared worried and apologised straight away for being late (Elka, her name). The poor thing explained that no one at Meridian had told her I’d been put on her list! I believe her!

I made sure she didn’t fret and calmed her down by telling her that it was nothing new with Meridian. After she had done the medicationings, I offered her a choice of nibbles as she left, a lot less worried-looking and with a smile on her face! That made me feel good too!

I tackled Josie’s meal presentation on the tray. I was pleased with my effort for once. Of course, whether or not Josie likes the taste with the bit of curry I put in chilli will be found out tonight… no, tomorrow! But it certainly looked different with the roast potatoes cubed around the dish? I treated her to some mandarin sections in orange juice and some spray cream in a plastic pot if she fancied any with the fruit. A can of her favourite brand on G&T. I delivered it dead on time again, oh, I am good… Hehehe!

Josie opened the door, and immediately the roast potatoes seemed to confuse her. She wasn’t a fan, methinks. I thought they would tickle her pink… but no! My precious moments of satisfaction with my efforts crumbled. Ah, well, yer can’t win them all! At least the mandarins, G&T and Yorkie Bar got an ‘A’ from Josie. Hehe!

A smidge deflated; I said my farewells and returned to the apartment. Made the header for this edition of the blog, and for some unknown reason, the wee-weeing started back to its regular routine, which meant no time to get to the wet room, so the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) was utilised for the rest of the day and night. With a fair bit of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling).

The sun nearly made it out during a nice break in the showers. Quite colourful… until the rain returned. And the darkness with it.

Only a short period (An hour or two) of Herbert suffered up until now. I think he may have gone out.

I tried to defrag the computer and set up a regular defragging every month. But it seems the defragging took only seconds? Is that right? I’m lost again?

Working on the blog, and the sun had a second bash at coming out. I took this shot from the comfort of the computer chair.

BBC1, I got my nosh sorted out straight away. Seeing that Nottingham Forest was live on the free telly. I had a sense that Forest was going to win. Earlier I believed a 1-1 score and penalties – then while I was struggling painfully on the Porcelain Throne, it all came to me. Nottingham Forest really was going to win comfortably.

And boy, did they do it in style!

Premiership league Leicester City were not in the game. It is like Brian Clough’s glory days!

I celebrated by having two pasties, BBQ flavoured chips and tomatoes for my meal. A Cornish pastie, and a beef pastie, too boot! Not a lot!

Flavour-Rating: 7/10.

When I went to wash up the pots etc., the view outside looked amazing. Unfortunately, I have no idea why… I just couldn’t capture the scene as it looked to the eye… then again, with Cataracts, Glaucoma and Saccades in my eyes, it may not be so surprising. Humph!

After cleaning up and getting the kettle on, I spotted to my left, to the South, a cloudless patch of sky with the moon in it. So, I got the Canon and tried again for a decent shot… Best I could manage! You should have seen the other failed attempts. But I’ll not show them, too embarrassing! Haha!

Got off to sleep quickly again. But kept waking up so often… Humph!

The Nottingham Lads True Tales of Woe

Inchcock Today: Diary, including the Evening Dream – In Ode

Saturumday 5th February 2022

INCHCOCK TODAY

Back to the horrible nocturnalisationings, like sleeping poorly, again! Oh boy, am I pissed off with this or what! I spent more time awake than asleep last night!

Endlessly waking up with a jump, then working out what time and day it was, and where I was! It was soul-destroying. I should think I must have woken at least two dozen times, more often than not needing a wee-wee! Cursing at my situation every time! Then just when I decided to get up, I fell asleep for the most extended period all night! It lasted for about an hour.

Amazingly, I rose from the uncomfortable depths of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, with almost ease! There was a complete absence of any hassle from Reflux Roger, Anne Gyner, Toothache Thomas, Duodenal Donald, Shaking Shaun (although he had a few goes at me later in the morning).

Caught my balance and checked on the legs because Arthur Itis and CCP (Cartilage Cathy’s Patella) were both giving me pain the moment I got any weight (And I’ve plenty of that!) on the plates and pins. Vasculitis and venous thromboembolism, and veins were remarkable by their absence!

But it seemed that only CCP and Arthur were worth worrying about. Grrreat!

Indeed, both feet looked in such a fine state I had to take a photo of them. Were they really mine?

This doesn’t happen very often, so I was already preparing to go into Smug-Mode!), that the J Sainsbury order is due this morning, and I don’t have a lot of time to prepare for them, with my getting up so late. Partly dressed (that’s as far as I got all day, Tsk!), I wandered hobblingly into the kitchenette to make a brew of Glengettie. It came to mind…

While the kettle was boiling, I took this snap of the morning view, catching the edge of the window frame to give a perspective of the actual sizing. I’ve forgotten why I thought of doing this now.

As I turned to get the kettle, CCP gave way in the right knee; boy, did she pain me! The knee nearly gave way a few more times as well. I’m hoping nothing like last week with Cathy popping out of her patella socket happens again. The whole joint was aching for hours after this? Mmm?

I made a brew and had a mug of Thompsons Punjana. Took it with me to the computer and made a start on finalising yesterdays blog. And before I could get to drink it, “♫ Oh, Susana… ♫” music chimed up from the door buzzer. It was Carer Cassandra; she was in a much lighter mood this morning. (Meridian Health & Social Care do not have any bosses on duty at the weekend, and Nottingham City Homes have no ILCs (Independent Living Coordinators) working weekends either). I assume that this is why the Carers are a little more cheerful? Unless, of course, some Carer has not turned up or left the job (a lot of them do that!), and that they have been called in to cover, of course. Haha!

Cassie soon got the medications sorted, and we even ad a little natter… well, I did. Har-har! Cassie departed, taking my waste bag with her, and I went to make another mug of tea…

I knocked over the milk bottle, but it only fell on its side, which I appreciated muchly and took a photo of it to prove that I do sometimes have good luck… in a way.

The intercom flashed; I presume it sounded as well, but I couldn’t hear it. Pressed the release button, and within two minutes, the ♫Oh Susana♫ tune rang forth again”. Grand deliveryman took the boxes through to the kitchen for me. Only four items missing out of stock this week. Much better than last week’s 14! Got the fresh stuff sorted and stored away in the fridge. The fridge is now looking well-stocked again but not overloaded.

A few items of cleaning and bleaching were put in the cupboards in the wet room and kitchenette.

Putting the canned cupboard supplies away cost me a lot of time. Peripheral Neuropathy Pete’s nerve ends lost contact a few times while I reached up to put them on the shelves.

In fact, I ended up throwing a couple of items up to the top shelf, but I don’t think anything broke.

Having said that, I’m sure I have more than a few dented cans in there now. However, I’m well off for kinds of vinegar seasonings and have a few cans of various vegetables to fall back on… not literally mind. Although, if CCP (Cartilage Cathy’s Patella) has her way, shell have me over some time today. I can feel her efforts, little twinges, in readiness to floor me!

Got the fodder away and applied some of the impotent, not fit for the job, but better than nothing, Phorpain gel rubbed well into the kneecap vicinity. I also took an extra Codeine 30g tablet. Because each time I put pressure in the joint, I can now feel a sort of grating from within the knee. Along with the seconds long periods of it feeling like it’s going to give, then it comes back? Ah well, fingers crossed!

I took a couple of pictures from inside the balcony. Of the end car park and Chestnut Walk below the front of the building. The red van man continues to park on the yellow hatched area and the White hatchback on the double yellow lines. And they say young men are bad drivers?

Whilst doing the blog, the lighting charged rather quickly outside.

Took a photograph of the changed sky colouring. I think this means rain on the way?

The weather made a liar of me within ten minutes, the sky turned blue, and a contrail showed up. Caught it with the Canon.

Back on the computer, I heard a clattering noise to accompany Herberts tap-tapping. I was sure it came from the kitchen, so I got up to investigate the clatterings source. But without any success, I’m afraid.

I had a go on Facebooking, Winwood Heights and the TFZer site. After about an hour or so, a loud (well, it would have to have been for me to hear it) similar metallic-sounding noise was heard again? I got a little confused as I could listen to Herbert above knocking away again. But, I felt the metallic sounds were coming from the kitchen. But, again, could find no cause of them?

All a part of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghost, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, and pretentious, uppity, snobby, pernickety, smug, stuck-up, neighbour above, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? I really believe that it did not come from the sanctified, consecrated, uncommunicative, ascetic, eremitic, aloof, arrogant slimeballs apartment above. Mmm?

I thought later, could it be the contents of the food cupboards that I could not get in the cupboard properly?

So, off into the kitchenette for yet another investigation.

As I searched each cupboard again, silence fell from Herbert’s flat. Oh, I hope he’s not dropped dead or is poorly… Ahem!

I couldn’t find owt not in order, or that could have caused the mystery racket?

The expected rain was coming down.

Decided to do the Medical Checks and just look at the BP figures that I got from the sphygmomanometer!

The lowest I’ve ever had! Brilliant! But baffling.

This follows a series of readings: SYS 168 Dia 62, SYS 148 Dia 76, SYS 149 Dia 62, now the excellent SYS 117 Dia 66! Yee-Haa! Fully in the Green for the first time ever!

The pulse was 74, and the body temperature 34.6°c. I think that is okay too!

Then I gave the knee another covering of the Phorpain gel.

The right knee still looked a smidge knobbly and was still a grating feeling when I applied any pressure as I walked. It doesn’t look or feel like it

is Arthur Itis playing up, rather more as if it is Cartilage Cathy.

However, the spider and veins were all looking well down today. The DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) clumps had disappeared!

Blimey, where’s the time gone to? The Carer will be here soon, and I’m not changed or had anything to eat yet! I treated myself to a lemon Viennese biscuit.

Got the oven on to use later to cook the beef pastie and some chips. Then plodded on with updating this blog.

A short bout of noise from Herbert. He just wants me to know that I have no chance of him stopping making noise, Bless Him!

I was preparing the late nosh, when the sound of ♫Oh, Susana♫, indicated the arrival of the evening Carer, Valerie tonight. I remembered I had an Easter Egg for her in the spare room, and I fetched it for her. She read some dates of the food in the kitchen for me, all were in date. Phew! She sorted the medications for me and was soon off, but tonight we did manage a mini natter, which was nice. Valerie took the waste bags to the chute with her. ♥

I got the meal finished and served onto the plate and tray. A sourdough baguette for one, which was delightfully tasty! BBQ seasoned sliced potatoes, yellow and red tomatoes.  I put a pot of dipping sauce on the tray, mainly for the sourdough-dipping. Hehe! The Cornish pastie was a different one this time. J Sainsbury’s pack of four. It shamed Iceland’s and Morrison’s ones, and had real flavour with not too much spicing in it… oh, and the sliced mini-bits of spuds were nice to the palette. A pleasant surprise for me. Overall, a Flavour-Rating of 8.2/10… got to be precise on these things. Hehehe!

The sleep was better than of late. Only about six shooting-awakes all night. On the last one, I woke remembering some bits of a dream I’d been having. There is an Ode to the Dream Ode, I wrote in the morning:

Ode to the Dream Ode

It’s a long time since I recalled summat I was dreaming,
In a room with many folks, like at a housewarming…
Female admirers around me were swarming!
Even in the dream, I didn’t become assuming…
Why me, all around were young men, convening,
Every one of them, the ladies were declining…
I could tell, to the lads, this was disheartening…
Even to me, this was a little disquietening!
It is me, that the girls wanted to be entwining…
What the heck is going on, happening?
One of the girls was particularly endearing…
Plump gal, about 35, and we hid, our bodies exploring…
She said she was pleased I chose her…Amazing!
How come all the girls suddenly find me appealing?
She said, Helen, I think, it was because of your blogging?
And we started cuddling and snogging…
“But, why, Helen?” I couldn’t resist inquiring…
“We’re all after your recipe for cheesy potatoes, darling!”
Which put an end to our session of pleasuring…
The dream seemed to morph into another rumination,
I was underground in a massive cave, fireflies flickering…
In the dark shadows in and out of view, flittering…
What, who they were, teased my imagination…
I searched, but I could not catch them, disheartening!
I could hear them babbling, mayhaps alien talking?
Aliens or ghosts, either way, I needed verification…
For the fireflies, they seemed to have an affection?
Then I heard a new sound, all around, tintinnabulation,
Damn it, the dream moved on to a railway station!
I was obviously waiting for a train,
Luggage around me, but no ticket to use, who to blame?
Searched my pockets, again and again…
My panic was becoming a pain…
The announcer said something about a train to Dunblane?
Walking on the platform, I saw Neville Chamberlain?
Waving an Amazon card at me, the dream started to wane…
I wanted to stay, learn 1940’s life, I tried to remain…
But, Herbert’s banging about woke me up again!

The Nottingham Lad’s Diary – With Odeing

Inchcock – Tuesday 18th August 2020: Worra Day!

Tuesday 18th August 2020

Afrikaans: Dinsdag 18 Augustus 2020

04:15hrs: The moment I woke up, the memories of the ‘dodgy’ phone call from last night flooded back. I laid and stewed thinking about it, wondering what to do about it. Thankfully, the need of a wee-wee arose, breaking my train of thoughts. I disentangled my grossly big and wobbly-bellied body from the c1968 recliner. Got Metal Mickey the four-pronged walking stick) and off to the EOGPB (Emergency-Overnight-Grey-Plastic-Bucket), and took an RSP (Reluctant-Sprinkly-Painful) type, wee-wee.

I spotted signs of nocturnal nibbling, Guilt-Mode-Engaged!

No demand for the Porcelain Throne, that was a rarity.

Took the bucket and cleaned and sanitised it, washed the hands and off to the kitchen for the important stuff, a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea.

Took a photo of the morning view, and set about getting the Health Checks sorted.

The sphygmomanometer readings were a little better today, the SYS was down a fair bit, I’m glad to report.

I nearly injected a hypo of Enoxaparin. I stopped myself in time, and wondered how I could have thought to do this in the first place? Still, if one didn’t recognise that you make mistakes, you’d never know the difference between confidence and ability! Too many people in my life have shown over-confidence and conceitedness to con their way up the ladder – but with a minimum of ability. Just thought I’d mention it, like! But when I was last made redundant, the chap they kept on, was caught stealing from them a month or two later. Hehehe!

I got on with updating the Monday blog and despite the occasional attacks from Shaking Shaun, did it in a reasonable time. Pinterested some photos, went on the WordPress Reader.

Jenny called me on the landline and put me into a more stable frame of mind.  When she told me that she had had similar phonecalls, and they would all be cons! Bless her!

I had an updating session on Facebook, then time approached for me to get the ablutions done. And what a mixed bag of a session this one was!

ABLUTIONALISATIONALISTICISATIONING REPORT:

  •  I got through the doorway, without any walking into, banging into, knocking over anything, or losing my balance! Smug-Mode-Partially-Adopted!
  •  Then stubbed my toes against the enamel on the sink riser!
  • Cleaning the teeth went almost painlessly, and with only two dropsies!
  • Bit of a disappointment in the shaving department, five dropsies, and four cuts, but not serious ones. The cartilage in the fingers, mostly to blame.
  • The showering went well, only three-dropsies! The showerhead (which did not land on my toes this time!), and the shower gel bottler (2)
  • The towelling drying off had a couple of close calls, I almost had the things off of the floor cabinet twice, but somehow they rattled together, some fell, but nothing fell on the floor! Great!
  • The medicationalisationing was a lengthy grind today. I’ a smidge worried about using so much of the Phorpain Gel, considering the new warning notes in the boxes, about folks having their body parts burst into flame when they were too close to a heat source. (Not joking!)
  • I had no option but to use the gel on the usual areas, knees, right ankle, wrists and shoulders. But today, the cartilage in the fingers was worse than they’ve ever been, so I gave the fingers on the right hand a good dubbing. I just hope that any visitors today, are not smoking. Hahaha!
  • The furuncles had to be ointmentated, very carefully, to avoid any of the Chlorhexidine cream getting on to Harold’s Haemorrhoids, and conversely, with the Germoloid Cream! Fiddly work! I should have been a Doctor you know. Hahaha!
  • Oiled the ear canals, sprayed eyes for Saccades, and  Chlorhexidine creamed the bruises, with no bother.
  • A bit of a challenge in getting down to the ankle ulcer and Oedema creams. But the long picker-upper and some ingenuity on my part, although I made a right mess of doing it, meant it was easy enough, if complicated. Haha!
  • However, I was in two minds whether it needed doing (the ulcer), cause it looked like it was virtually cleared up now, compared to yesterday? Almost just freckles showing? Although it was still stinging a bit. All confusing!
  • Then, the most painful I’d left until last. (Coward! Tsk!) Little Inchies fungal lesion, applying the Fluconazole hydrocortisone cream was done. It didn’t bother me at all!

Abltionalisationing Advice available, to other multi-ailment sufferers. At cheap rates!

Got the PPs and trousers on, and off to the kitchen to make a brew of Morrison’s Extra Strong Assam Tea!

Stroke of bad luck as I was putting the milk back into the fridge. The damn right leg suddenly went into an involuntary Neuropathic Schuhplattler dance routine! I didn’t go over mind, I grabbed at the fridge door for balance; which caused all of the things, aluminium cooking tray, foils dishes etc. to tumble from the refrigerator top!  Grigglebogsblowit! I spent a long time, trying to reshape some of the trays, and get them back up again. The lost amazing thing about the incident is not the bruise I got on my left leg, how I avoided going over, or my not dropping the milk, but the flaming noise they made! Hehehe! I bet Herbert heard it!

I made another brew of Glengettie Gold this time, to replace the Assam brew that had gone cold as I cleared up the mess. And gingerly got the milk out of the cooler, and even more carefully, put it back!

Herbert started to bang and knock from above! Whether it was due to my noisy calamity, I have no idea.

I took a shot through the balcony window.

At long last, I started to create this blog. And the landline burst forth and flashed again. It was my Brother-in-law, flat breaker, Cancer suffering, going bald after his Chemo, Xyrophobia suffering, over amour propred, Pete.

We had a jolly good natter. Poor lad, his hair is coming out faster after his third session in the nuclear chemotherapy-pump. But he says he enjoyed talking to others in the same boat at the hospital. Last night the bloke woke up feeling sick, and he was. I think this is not a bad thing, as the bodies natural defences are telling him they want to rid the innards of some sort of danger. Easy for me to say, I know, but I believe this.

Pete’s always been a bit of Charles Atlas type, fit, rarely been ill with it (Makes me sick! Hehe, only joking, Pete!) So it’s only natural he’s going to struggle to cope with this cancer. Mind you, he did once fall asleep on the arm of the setee, fell off and broke his neck! Not a lot of people can say that! Hahaha!

Pete mentioned my blog message about the phoney phone call I got, from someone claiming to be from Visa. He also thinks it was a con-job.

We managed to have a laugh between ourselves, said our farewells, and I went to make yet another brew, this time of Glengettie. The tea had gone cold again. Tsk!

Got some Comments answered. Well, the comment, answered. Then did some more updating of this post.

Still no signs of any Porcelain Throne requirements?

I went to make another mug of tea, Glengettie Gold. (I’ve a thirst on today?)

Went out in the balcony and took these three pictures of the parked cars along Chestnut Walk. Not many spaces available, I can’t see any, in fact?

Hello, Herbert’s giving me some more tip-tap knocking again. I wonder what he’s making this time?

The weather is looking a bit threatening. Might be storm clouds, but they are fast-moving in an Easterly direction.

By the time they turn to rain, the clouds might have moved to Skegness. Haha!

Christ! Herbert’s banging and thudding away again now!

I’ll get some garden peas shelled methinks. Perhaps have a fishcake sarnie, peas and tomatoes later? Or not. A rough estimate of peas loss: 20 – Found or retrieved: 8. Humph!

Hell, Herbert! Give us a (swear word removed) rest from the banging and tap-tapping will yer!

I’ll get the meal prepped. Wholemeal bread thins, buttered and filled with tomatoes with a bit of onion salt. Surimi sticks, red potato-fritters, and fresh garden peas. A mini apple pie and lemon yoghourt.

Taste Rating: 6/10.

I  did the washing up, then for once, I eagerly got down in the recliner to watch some TV. The cause of this avidity was I could get the headphones on, thus not have to listen to Herbert’s tap-tap, clunking! I realised that getting to sleep was not going to be an option.

Within a few minutes, the landline flashed. It was the delightful Vampire Nurse Hristina, telling me she would be arriving to take my blood in the morning, twixt 10:00>11:00hrs in the morning. I thanked her and got settled down again.

An episode of Law & Order was starting. Then a summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. No rest for Inchy tonight! Krickus!

What a bloody affair it was! Much cleaning and medicationalisationing required. Cribblebogangonies!

I got settled down again. Praying for some rest, anything so precious as sleep would be a sweet bonus.

Ten minutes or so later, I could hardly believe it, the landline lit up and flashed again! It was the QMC’s Warfarin Anticoagulation and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic. The kind lady told me to take 2½ Warfarin tonight, and a blood test will be arranged for tomorrow. (I was getting a little confused and muddleheaded!) I thanked her and then pondered a while.

I’d taken 2 Warfarin already, so went to get a half a tablet to take. But, foolishly ended up taking the whole 2½ that she’s mentioned. Thus, I’ve have taken 4½ Warfarin now (I think?). Gragnankles!

Back to the £300, second-hand, c1968, not-working, sickeningly beige-coloured, recliner again. (The exercise will do me some good perhaps? Haha!)

Wrote some notes on the pad to remind me of evenings farce for this diary. Then turned off the TV, and with hopes of sleep, I covered my head and eyes with the thin quilt and then waited for Sweet Morpheus to arrive…

An hour later, having not being able to stop the Thought-Storming, I thought that turning the TV back on might help me get asleep. Ha!

I needed a wee-wee. Struggled out of the rickety recliner again, and to the wet room. Getting back, I gave myself as good a toe-stubbing as possible on the corner of the Ottoman. Granglespithowlations!

A sort of evening (and day really!) that I could have done without!

And to think, a nearby neighbour, in Brookfield Place, two-up two-down terrace housing, right next to the railway viaduct in the Meadows area of Nottingham, nearly seventy years ago, a grand chap called Mr Wright, always used to address me as, ‘Lucky!’

If I’d known then, wot I know now… Hehehe!

Inchcock Today: Sunday 10th June 2018

Sunday 10th June 2018

Sudanese: Minggu 10 Juni 2018

0340hrs: My expergefaction, suffered from confusion between the somniativeness and actuality. Causing me some confused reality, for a short while, a state of paramnesia I think it is called.

A welter of vague yet complex memories of the dreams I’d been having mingled about in my brain. Yet I could recall no details of any of the many thoughts I think I’d had overnight? Just emotions, mainly frustrations, jealousies, and fears. I reckon that possibly Noisy Herbert from the flat above might have crept into one of the nightmares. Because I was positively thinking of him, well, the noise he makes in my muddled-mind-melee of machinations.

It took a while for things to become real, the vagueness to leave me.

It helped me to regain reality when I trapped my burnt finger-end from the Whoopsiedangleplop last night, in the £300 second-hand recliner as I attempted to escape the seat’s oh so comfortable clutches. In fact, it was only the hassle from burnt fingers, and Reflux Roger (Although Anne Gyna joined in, later on), that was giving me any bother this morning.

The Health Checks were completed.

The reading were all similar to the last few days.

Although they have been a little up and down in comparison to the day before’s readings in the Sys, Dia, and pulse.

A much better session, I think that Trotsky Terence is easing off now and giving me a break. Which I found most welcome and appreciated.

The view outside caught my eye, and I went to get the camera and took this shot through the window, facing North.

I had to pop to the Porcelain Throne in between doing the sphygmomanometer tests. I had clean up after the evacuation, and am pleased to report that the fungal lesion was bleeding for less than at the same time yesterday. Good!

I returned to the kitchen and got the next week’s medication pots made up.

Only dropping one tablet and one capsule as I did so. Smug Mode Adopted. Haha!

Then, I did a bit of a silly, daft Whoopsiedangleplop!

I did the hemadynamometer Health Checks again. Why you ask? So do I! What a nitwit I am, unquestionably!

Got the kettle on to make a tasty brew of English Breakfast tea.

The temperature on the thermostat on the kitchen window ledge showed 71°f, and the widow had been ajar overnight, too.

. I dropped the small mug as I was taking it towards the kettle. I couldn’t believe it, but it did not break when it bounced off the kitchen floor – and I caught it on its first rebound back up! Yet another Smug Mode adopted!

Started to update the Noise from above ridden, Saturday diary. This took some time, but eventually, I got it completed and sent off to WordPress.

Then, I decided to get the vegetables prepared and into the Crock-Pot. Chopped up some turnip and mushrooms. Ahem! The blood was nowhere as bad as it looks in this photo, I squashed the finger to make it look worse in my quest for sympathy. Only joking, Hehehe!

Then I podded some fresh garden peas. I say fresh, many of them had gone mouldy, so they had to be sorted carefully. Huh!

Got them in the pot with some brown sugar, vinegar and onion salt.

Began updating this diary next, got as far as here, and went to the WordPress Reader section.

0940hrs, now. No noise from Herbert yet. He may have gone out shopping?

I went on to Facebook, hoping it will not mess me about this time. I was alright, now it is sticking again. Grrr!, no, I’m not to a Grrr, maybe a flipping heck? Haha!

1125hrs: Herberts back at it, crunch, bang.

Moved on to creating some Blog Page Header graphics.

1445hrs: Got a few made-up.

Sat down cause I wasn’t feeling too bright.

Tried reading, but concentration was a struggle with the tap-tap-grinding noises from above.

Got the meal sorted and served-up.

Ate the nosh to the odd accompaniment of a bang, tap-tap or whining noise from the flat above.

I ate it all up, not a crumb left on the empty plate.

Took the medications.

Tired as I felt, sleep resisted me.

I got the TV on and managed the odd nodding-off for a few minutes. Being woken by the tap, crunch grinding noises. Even with the headphones on I could hear them.

Got up to get a drink of orange juice.

And realised I had forgotten to use the slow-cooker contents, the mushroom and peas in the meal. At least I had turned-off the crock-pot.

Horrible time with no getting off to sleep and the odd clang, bang or scuffling coming from somewhere.

I lay there in the semi-darkness, feeling temperamental and uneasy for ages before getting off into the land of nod?

Inchcock Today – Sunday 20th May 2018: Got lost in the thicket. Tsk!

Sunday 20th May 2018

Welsh: Dydd Sul 20 Mai 2018

0505hrs: I stirred and laid there, the mind playing for once; not on worries, fretting, concerns and fears. Just on the dream that I’d been having… and what a mixed up medley of, well, worries, fretting, concerns and fears the dream was, I suppose! (I’m losing it early today!)

For once, I had a severe and disorientating case of dysania this morning. Not like me at all.

I sleepily went through the motions of doing the Health Checks.

Made a brew of Breakfast tea, and imbibed the medications.

A sense of catatonia and dolefulness hung over me heavily. I assumed this was due to it being the weekend and after Noisy Herbert’s audio accompaniments yesterday, the certainty that they will be worse today, and knowing that the Nottingham City Homes Oberscharführeress told me he is doing nothing wrong…

Oh, I nearly forgot about the ban on my mentioning anything communication-wise between NCH personnel and me on my blog! Sorry, Tsk!

I got the computer on and had to divert to the Porcelain Throne. Oh heck, not a good evacuation at all. More blood than ever before from Harold’s Haemorrhoids. This would be due to my having spent so long yesterday sat down at the computer desk. Klutz! A lot of effort, discomfort and time spent cleaning and medicating after the movement.

The first thing I did when back at the computer, was to create a graphic of the weird dream I had. Well, as best I could recall.

I went to make another mug of tea, still feeling a bit pensive and anxious without knowing why.

Even the new windows lowered my spirits as I bemoaned them blocking out the light, and now giving me six panes to clean instead of the old windows, four. And getting to them is more awkward too. Boy, am I on a downer this matins!

I got on with updating the Saturday blog and posted it off!

0725hrs: As I made a start on this one, Noisy Herbert from above did a bit of banging and clanging about. Just the two, then all went quiet. Nice!

I visited the WordPress comments, it didn’t take long. Only one there. Hehe!

Then onto the WP Reader section.

Had a go on Facebook again, hoping it will let me post, this time. It did too! Got no end done before it all went too slow.

Went to get the ablutions and medicationalisationing done. Long, but not unpleasant event.

Sorted the refuse bags and took them out with me as I left.

Outside the three-flats lobby door, I was gobsmacked to see a right mess on the floor near the new window/air vents. No idea what it was though. Maybe from the.., oh I don’t know, the shredded bits from the insulation being fitted?

Dropped the bags down the chute and made my way down to the lobby of the apartment. Where I met with Julie, no, Josie and Mavis. We had a nattering session for ten minutes or so. Mavis used to live a few hundred yards from where Mam and Dad used to fight each other every day, on Brookfield Place. She lived on Mayfield Grove.

Then, I bade my cheerios, and went out and dropped the empty recyclable glass containers in the appropriated bin. Into which someone had placed bags of household rubbish in carrier bags.

I removed it and placed it on the floor in the corner.

I crossed over Chestnut Walk and turned to take this photographicalisation of the flat blocks.

Not many Nottinghamians about this morning. A few dogs were taking their owners for a walk. But far fewer than usually would be on a Sunday.

Ah, bet they are tired put by watching the wedding and Cup Final?

As I began to walk up the hill towards the tree copse, the beauty of these little flowers, Buttercups I think they are named, caught my eye.

Out now, I was beginning to feel better within myself. Found another footway through my beloved Copse, and took it. A bit tight for room and dodgy underfoot, but it was so beautiful in there.

After getting through and coming out near the gnarled tree at the top of the gravel footpath hill, I crossed over down through a clump of trees to the bottom of the park.

In the thickets I got myself disorientated; All right, lost! Had to double back to get to find the train. It had been built and placed on the British Railway’s actual train line that used to run through the park years ago.

A man and woman were sunbathing with their toddler and had left the pram in where the line was.

I wanted to make some witty comment about it, but they both looked like they were smoking weed. So, I thought that they may not see the funny side, and said nothing to them.

I again strolled off, aimlessly into the thicket and got lost still! What a Shlemiel. In my defence, I was looking for the steps that I knew were around here somewhere, will that do? Hehe! I went back down to the bottom, and back up another way, and there they were.

I kept stopping and just enjoying the peace and quiet.

Naturally, I thought of Noisy Herbert back at the flats, some nasty thoughts mingled in their, I’m afraid to say. Looking around for any signs of wildlife I may be able to photograph.

I pondered over the memories of years gone by and recalled some of the things I had got up to in each area as I came to it.

In the bushes with Chrissie and Grizelda (1964 and 1970ish). The football games I attended and never got picked to play. (No blame attached of ill feelings, I was a crap player and knew it, Haha!) The pitch and putt games I played… then realised I’d strayed onto the course during my recollections.

I turned back and went up the big clump to the thicket area.

Still, musing and fantasising without any definitive intentions whatsoever. Ambling, limping and daydreaming of what will never be, shouldn’t have been and never will be.

As I got to the top and realised there was no way out there and would either have to walk back down to find an opening, or carry on up the hill and climb through the fencing to get out. Klutz! Then I spotted a squirrel and followed it with great patience to get some pictures of the little beauty.

By the time I’d stalked him and took the photographs, I was at the top of the thicket. So decided I could get underneath the fence without any bother. Not to fret, it didn’t bleed much. Huh!

A man and wife helped me get back up on my feet, and their dog gave me a good licking. Which I did find amusing, cherished and appreciated.

A park attendant came over to check if I was alright and pointed out to me that I should not have been coming out under the fence, but should have walked down to the proper exit at the bottom. Told off again! Fool!.

Sheepishly, flustered and embarrassed, I thanked the man and made my way to the footpath at the top of the park and turned left down past the Tree Copse and back to Woodthorpe Court.

Got in did the Health Checks and on the computer to do the updating of this diary.

Two hours later, got the nosh on.

Noisy Herbert: Bang, clang.

The beans I tried flavouring a little differently this time.

Curry, mustard, balsamic vinegar and tomato puree. This turned out to have a nice and enjoyable tang to it.

The lemon bliss dessert had some orange flavour essence and bitter lemon juice added, and I also enjoyed that one.

As I was washing up the pots, I noticed the cumulonimbus like clouds had returned to the skies.

Got the Health Checks done, had a wee-wee, settled down into the £300 second-and recliner and got the TV on.

Fell asleep within minutes.

Woke up an hour or so later, (Noisy Herbert: Bang, clang). It was still light outside, at first I thought I might have slept right through until late morning.

I think I was just at my hypnagogic state, and a sudden sneeze just about shook me out of the recliner! This started Reflux Roger off, and I lay there watching the chest as it swelled. Bloated and frit me for a bit. But it was alright, Roger went down and started working again within a minute or so. Phew!

I soon nodded off again.

Inchcock Today – Saturday 19th May 2018

Saturday 19th May 2018

Estonian: Laupäev, 19. Mai 2018

0355hrs: In my expergefacient state, I was immediately aware of my inability to cope sometimes. I felt full of impuissance, powerlessness, unassertiveness, impotence, and ineptness in life generally. I was in a deep EQ self-questioning mode. This is not a nice place to be!

I accepted that I am a natural target in life. Of my pathetic toleration and sufferance being unacceptable. Recognising my sad condition, and wondered if there is a name for it within the world mind disorders?

I’d got myself feeling right low and full of self-loathing before I even attempted to get free of the £300 second-hand recliner. Off to the kitchen, in a moribund state of mind.

Had a bit of luck while making the mug of tea. I spilt some boiling water on my wrist. This made me jump and took me out of my depressive-mode tout de suite! Not only that, but I managed to avoid getting the wrist alarm wet as well. Life’s little victories are so rare for me, but most welcome and cherished!

In pain, but feeling so much cheerier now, I got the Health Checks done.

I even caught the reflection of my face and camera in this snap of the sphygmomanometer. (Fair enough, I didn’t mean to, Hehe!)

The readings seemed alright.

As I was putting away the medications, a call to the Porcelain Throne had to answered post haste. In the past, there have been some very embarrassing times when I have failed to get there in time. This mornings race to the throne was the closest I’ve ever come to a Whoopsiedangleplop, without any accident. Talk about a close call, narrow escape, and close-shave! The evacuation was loose spurting and messy, though. But of very short duration. Needing cleaning, medicalisationing, and anticepticalisationing activities to be performed after the four-second event. Hehe!

By the time I’d finished the cleansing and got back to the kitchen, the brew had gone cold. So I carefully and warily made another mug of tea.

The noctilucence of last nights clouds had gone, but the matutinal blue hue, like the previous few mornings, were bright and sharp.

As I took this snap from the window, it then dawned on me; How the ailments were again being so kind to me. It really still surprises me how I can wake up to find such vast changes in how I feel, physically. Mentally my deterioration remains on a downward spiral, mind. But, apart from plates-of-meat and Duodenal Donald, it seems that all the other ailments are in a good mood? Scary, but I like it!

I took a photo of down below outside. A blind spot, cause I could not see the screen when I took this photograph.

It came out all shaky and blurry. And, how did the dirty, scratched, bird poo’d on white window ledge come out showing as blue? One of the worst snaps I’ve ever taken!

I then got the vegetables prepared and in the crock-pot.

Tomatoes, parsnips, turnip, mushrooms, orange peppers, marrowfat peas and onions all went in with the Llyod Grossman tomato and basil sauce. (Got it on Special offer, Hehe!)

Made a start on this diary. By gum, it didn’t half take me some time.

Had a wee-wee, then went to make another brew. And grand-tasting it was too!

Onto CorelDraw to create the diary header graphics.

It took me even more hours and frustrations with the computer and the internet connection playing up. But after persisting on, I got them done and filed away. The damned WordPress setting keeps changing to US English, and I have to go out of what I am doing into settings and resetting to UK English. Grrr!

I checked the vegetables in the slow-cooker, made a start on updating the Friday post.

Sister Jane called, and we had a nattering session. I realised I had not finished and posted the Friday diary, so I got on with it.

Back to updating this page, again.

Another nip into the kitchen to inspect the progress of the cooking.

I spotted a largish insect on the outside of the glass in the window. Thinking I would take this chance to see if the new camera would do macro work, I fetched it and did my best to find out how it worked. A terribly sad effort this one turned out to be!

But failure was again doomed for me. I’ve not done any commenting or WordPress Reading yet, and it’s getting on, the body is in preparation for its fading-out stage. But I must remember to get on the web and investigate how to take close up photographs with the Nikon B700.

Taking an ‘ordinary Auto photograph of my beloved Copse was easy enough, though.

I tried changing the settings from Normal to Fine, and this is the resultant picture. Showing the steep gravel footpath up into the Woodthorpe Grange Park pathway.

Bootiful!

I noticed the caked on bird poo on the balcony door windows when I returned to the computer.

The Del Boy Double from Willmott Dixon certainly has a good idea about getting the windows done while the hoists are still available.

What was the name of the Trotters tower block where they lived in the series? Ah, got it. (I looked it up) ‘Nelson Mandela House,’ if that were used nowadays it would be banned, I imagine, by the PC Brigade?

I got carried away while looking up the name of the flats, by an email came in about Nottingham News.

A respected carer milked the bank accounts of two elderly pensioners – and even continued after one of them died, a court heard. “Callous and mean” businesswoman Dain Parsons was jailed for two years and ten months today (Wednesday, May 16) over her shocking spree of dishonesty.

Terrified residents had to be evacuated when an arsonist set fire to a Sports Direct bag outside their flats – causing £17,000 of damage. David Ogle started the blaze in Rose Close, St Ann’s, as residents were sleeping at around 5.20am on Thursday, August 24. He was jailed for four-and-a-half years over the blaze.

A burglar given a second chance by a judge has been back in trouble. Pole Kamil Kratus, of no fixed address, left the court in March with a suspended prison sentence. He bedded down in a Sneinton house because he ‘needed somewhere to live,’ the court had heard after the property was insecure. And he left cigarette butts in the bath and stubbed them out on a rug. But he also helped himself to televisions, jewellery, Pandora rings and bank cards. The bank cards were maxed out on contactless payments to the tune of £250. After he was dealt with, 30-year-old Kratus re-offended weeks later; stealing a £12 phone case from Tesco, in the Intu Victoria Centre, further shoplifting at eight other city centre stores, stealing from a pram on Goosegate, Riding on the trams without payment, and causing criminal damage while on bail. Today (Wednesday, May 16) he received a 12-month conditional discharge for theft and criminal damage. Twenty rehabilitation activity days were also handed out for breaching the suspended prison sentence? I bet that fritten him, Huh!

The noisy Herbert had started banging and clanging around. And, Arthur Itis is attacking my right wrist with a venom. I nearly cut myself earlier when he affected me while peeling and chopping the turnips. Methinks my current niggliness is here to stay for the rest of the day now, like the wrist problem and noisy Herbert’s tonal accompaniments

I caught up with this updating and went on to the WordPress Reader page. Lots of great stuff posted lately.

I checked the crock-pot vegetables again. Blimus! It’s had six hours on auto, but nowhere near ready yet. I wonder if it’s broken or summat?

Did the Health Checks and some more prep work on CorelDraw for WordPress.

The meal was delightfully tasty tonight.

Regretfully, the lemon yoghourt had gone off. Eurgh!
Five days in use-by date too?

Got the pots washed and a tub of nibbles at hand on the Ottoman, and settled down on the £300 second-hand Recliner, to watch the Cup Final.

I stayed awake for the entire match that I thought was not one of the best finals ever by a long stretch.

Noisy Herbert above was doing a lot of clanking and banging again.

The match all finished, as was the nibbles, I went for a wee-wee and rinsed.

Getting to sleep proved more difficult than it has been for ages. Well gone midnight before I slipped off into the land of slumber, so very late for me.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 3rd April 2018: I was treated contemptuously and disrespectfully today. Feeling aggrieved and dejected. Sorry-for-myself and dispirited with life, now! Duodenal Donald is rampant, too. Tsk!

Tuesday 3rd April 2018

Dutch: Dinsdag 3 April 2018

0255hrs: I woke and lay there a while to gather my thoughts when the brain joins in with the body and comes to life. The mind united with my blubbery body and cascaded into my head, philosophies, axioms, theories, fears, trepidations and a twitchiness that I have never suffered before. Some form of paramnesia? It took me a while to clear most of these perceptions and unfathomable nervous concerns from my grey-cells.

0305hrs: The extraction of the body-mass from the £300 second-hand recliner was almost effortless and mostly pain-free. (Confusing as to how this can change every day, I seem to wake-up a different person physically each morning?)

Off to the kitchen to have a look what the weather was like. But I could not get out of the new windows to take a decent photo, so I nipped into the spare room to make this one.

Getting the tablets, sphygmomanometer and medications out of the drawer, I dropped the olive-oil dispenser, and the rubber end-squeezer broke, distributing the Olea Europaea as mentioned earlier over the floor. Fancy that, I said! After Sunday’s farce in not being able to get back up after getting on my knees to clean this same floor, I got the mop and bucket, using these to clean-up.

Feeling rather proud of my achievements, I emptied the water from the bucket into the Porcelain Throne and spilt some dirty water over the bowl onto the wet room floor! So refilled the bucket with clean water and disinfectant and mopped up. I might have muttered something along the lines of; Botherations!

Back to the kitchen once more. Made a brew an did the Health Checks

The Sys has come down at last, and the pulsation rate increased a tad too.

Took the medications with a small mug of the Assam tea.

To the computer and made a start doing the updating of yesterday’s blog. Got it finished and posted off to WordPress.

I had a look at the Nottingham Weather forecast for this week.

Seems like showers, thunderstorms, rain and cloudy for this week, then. Fiddlesticks!

Then I started this diary off. I broke off to have a look on YouTube, watched a video on the Grenfell Fire. London Fire Brigade had stopped using the high-rise ladders some months earlier. A spokesman said, they would not have made any difference. Then they said they were going to use them (Long Ladders) again! People were getting phone calls from relatives trapped on the higher floors, with no hope of rescue. One family, who all died, had rung the fire brigade eleven times, each time they were told to stay in their flat and await rescue! Brigade officers all thought people should have been ordered to make their way out. Perhaps some would have been injured or wounded in the ensuing panic, but he felt that fewer people would have become statistics than there was by telling them to stay in their apartments.

This upset me somewhat, naturally. I had tears coming down my cheeks. I closed down the computer and got the ablutions started.

Had a good session. Took the black bags to the rubbish chute.

Noticed the rain was beginning to fall a little as I got ready to leave.

As I was just about to open the door, a knock came from the other side of it.

It was a plasterer-bloke, who asked if he could do the plastering on the balcony window now, cause he’d had been let down with arranged appointments.

The plasterer looked so sad. So I agreed and then left the door unlocked and shot off and down in the lift.

Some naughty person had left the fire doors wedged open in the foyer. Tsk!

I went through and outside, the drizzle was trying to come through, and the sky kept going dark as I walked along Chestnut Walk.

I stopped to take a picture of the works around the flats, en route to the Obergruppefurheress Wardens HQ and Social Hut. I remembered there was a meeting later today, one of the instructional ones about new things being fitted.

I pressed on the shack. Where a good few residents had gathered. Jenny was organising things for the meeting later on. Cindy and Eric, Big Bad John, Welsh William and about five others were there. I had a chinwag with the ever heartening Jenny then pulrcritudinic Cindy, I’d remembered to take Cindy’s nibble bar.

The bus came, and as it started to rain, the L9 arrived, so none of us got wet. (But I did not get excited, for my EQ told me things were going to get complicated and harassment would follow. It’s rarely wrong, unfortunately.

Had a go at the crossword on the bus. But gave up, my concentration was not right.

Dropped off on Upper Parliament Street, and hobbled up Broad Street up to Hockley and turned right up to and down Victoria Street.

Some retail buildings at the end of Broad Street had closed down and been vandalised. But the ever-optimistic plutomania-ridden Estate Agents had still placed the For Rent signs up.

The Poultry, where the trams run up and down, (When are haven’t broken down, knocked someone over, had a crash, or had a technical failure, that is of course) and where the ‘Posh Shops’ are. I’ve no idea why, there is insufficient parking for tenants and owners, let alone the shoppers being barred from parking on the street. The shop on the right, well, bar actually, is where the stabbings were last month.

I limped down the road and took this photo of the back of the Little John bell tower.

The drizzle started to come down again, but not enough for me to get the umbrella out yet.

Carried on down to the end of South Parade, and over the road then left down onto Wheeler Gate, to the Poundland store, and had a  look around, hoping they may have some Magnesium tablets on sale. Nope! I still ended up spending £9, though. Chocolate Brazil Nut misshapes, chocolate almonds, some nibbles for the Social our handouts, including some half-price easter eggs. Biscuits as raffle prizes, and two packets for myself, of Raspberry jam Viennese at 2 for a pound. And some yoghourt covered peanuts. I also got two large easter eggs for only £2, an Aero and chocolate button one. Oh, and a packet of Earthworm Pellets to feed the Mallard with on the canal.

I exited the shop, and hobbled along to the end of Lister Gate and through the dying Broad Marsh Centre (Mall) and out and over Collin Street and down Carrington Street, over Canal Street and up to the canal.

As I was leaving the centre, a young girl was sat against the wall and asked if I had any money to spare. The unfortunate thing had blotches and spots on her cheeks. I told her no, no money, but I do have an easter egg for you. I handed it to her, her face lit-up and she thanked me. I think the novelty of being given something to eat, cheered her a little.

Apart from the drugged up alcoholic youth who is apparently a well-trained member of the Nottingham Pavement Cyclist Squad, as he rode off of the pavement onto the road without even looking, while drinking from a bottle, not using the handlebars, and undoubtedly unconcerned about the Highway Code. He probably thinks the Highway Code is a new form of Asian Flu. Hehehe!

You can see the last bit of the Broad Marsh Bus Station and car park as it is being demolished.

When I arrived at the Nottingham Canal, I stood a while letting memories flow to and frow. This is the canal that I got thrown into when I was about five or six years old. Although not from this bridge, one further along.
This got me thinking deeper, nearby was the spot I used to wait for Dad to arrive in his British Railway Horse and Dray, then later the British Railways Karrier Bantam articulate lorry and trailer.

I looked over the side of the bridge, to see a bloke sharing a bag of glue with another, and smoking a slightly thick roll-up between them. I thought they were risking things a bit, I felt that adhesive was susceptible to burning?

I moved to the other side of the bank, in case the gentlemen saw me took offence.

There were no mallards about again today. However, the Canada Goose (My sweetheart from Canada, Pattie, told me off for calling them Canadian, it’s Canada), and the pigeons enjoyed the pellets I threw down for them.

I made my way back a different way, through the shopping mall going in from another entrance, into where the Wilko store is. I called in to get some Magnesium tablets. I couldn’t find any, and no one was about to ask. So I went to the pay desk and inquired of the lady there. She went to have a look for some but returned with the news that they do not have any in stock. Shame that, if the hand or leg cramps cone on tonight, I will suffer. She said you can try the shop next to Brighthouse. So, I thanked her and visited the store. Again, I could see none on the shelves. I asked a young lady, and she shouted out for to a youth, in nappies (Well, he was very young, Haha!) to look for me. Negative again. They only had some Magnesium tablet that had Vitamin E in them.

I started to make my way to the other end of the building, to call in the Boots to get some of my tablets, and noticed the Heron Food Store was still open, so I wandered in. Another mistake! I came out with biscuits, biscuit, biscuits (Well they were very cheap!), some nibbles to go in the hand-out box, a box of belly pork and sauce to cook for nosh tonight, some gammon end-bits and some biscuits. Hahaha!

When I got near the Boots store, several officers of the law, (I didn’t realise Nottingham had so many left nowadays) were sectioning an area off from the public. Thus, I never did get any Magnesium tablets, Phuh!

Back into town and caught the Lp bus back to the flats. Met tenant Mary (I think that’s her name, I get confused you know), and we had a natter on the bus back.

Dropped off and called into the Obergruppenfurhresses Hut.

I was still in time Jenny told me, to get to the flat and drop-off my bags the get back in time for the meeting.

So I shot off and to the apartment.

Took this photograph as I hobbled along, feeling in rather a decent mood for once I was indeed.

Getting into the outer hallway to the three flat’s doors, was so disappointing and instantly down-heartening. Worse than that really!

The state of the carpeting was terribly dirty and covered in bits of plaster and its dust, from the plasterer’s workings I assumed.

With trepidation, I entered the flat.

I have made a post about this incident and the effect it had on me, I’ve already posted it, mostly just all the photographs of the mess!

He’d left plaster in the kitchen sink, every carpet had residue, lumps of half-dried plaster and dust all over them!

Curtains left on top of the heater! He even got plaster spilt on my little corner shelf unit. Plaster on the windows. Plaster on the armchair.

Every time I walked anywhere, I was spreading it around and making things worse! I was in a panic!

I spent an hour or so trying to hoover and brush up the dust, deep-set, lumps and granules from the carpet. All I achieved was the hoover battery ran-out, and I slipped when using the scrubbing brush to try an loosen the crap on the floor, bruising my knuckles. Then, trying to get back up again, hit my head on the door frame!

I decided that I must go to Sherwood and try to get some carpet cleaner, and magnesium tablets if I remember too. Even with Duodenal Donald and Dizzy Dennis nagging away at me. (Thanks again to the health-threatening so-called improvement works). Looked like I was getting Nervous-Hives coming back again on the head and face? Humph!

Off to the shed, where I asked for advice on what type of cleaner to get. Jenny and Cyndy suggested Vanish. I told them of the mess. Then set out to hobble to the shop.

I met with Obergruppenfurheress and Obergefreiteress Wardens Dean and Julie further down the road. I began to tell them of my problems. But, the rain started belting down at that time, Deana told me to talk to them later in the day and in the dry of indoors. I went on a few paces and thought I would return to the flat, as the rain really got nasty then.

Got in and I was in a right mood with myself.

I made up the extra post with the photos of the mess left by the plasterer and posted it.

Now I was really getting ratty. This was due to it already being past my head-down time, and I was nervous about not getting up in time for the blood test in the morning.

Stupidly, I decided to update this diary. Which tool hours further.

Got the meal (Belly Pork) in the oven cooking. Now, my head-down time was really, well gone.

Got the fodder served up. It looked and smelled terrific.

It was terrible tasting! I don’t think I ate a quarter of it. Perhaps my being depressed and morose about the way I’d been left in the quagmire and let down by the plastering chappie and lack of response to my plea for help?

I wrapped and binned most of the meal, had a wee-wee and washed the pots.

Did the Health Checks.

Even the beautiful sun-going-down sky photographicalisation was taken without any genuine appreciation of it, just automatically.

I felt right down in the dumps, bitter and twisted silly thoughts invaded my thoughts as I waited for sleep to arrive. Pondering over the execrable way I thought I had been treated, with contempt, by leaving me with all this hassle and worry, and as I wrote earlier, Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyne and feeling so isolated and nervous. Maybe I am suffering from GAD?

Worried about getting up in time, with it being hours beyond my usual Head-Down time. I don’t want to be late at the surgery for the blood test.

Goodnight all!

Sorry for being so down-in-the-mouth and despondent.

I hope for good news, help (Changes for the better) and cheering myself up soon.

But I won’t hold my breath! Hehe!

Life is not so good with all this undeserved nasty extra-hassle.

TTFNski, each.
