– – Over to you, Rishi! – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

05:00hrs: I stirred after spending the night about 50/50 sleeping and jumping awake. Nocturnally, my upset , and were all in activation mode, and a smidgeon of self-pity came over me. As the coughing started. Followed, immediately I tried to mode, by the involuntary sharp in-taking of breaths? Nowt new, it was the same yesterday, but I’d hoped things would have died down a little by now.
Then, as I stood up to get to photograph the colour of the bag’s urine… I emitted what can only be called a cry in pain of Argh! Or similar. As kicked off, and will be with me as I hobble until January the something when the foot-lady calls on me. This is not a good prospect. Then again, have I any good prospects ahead of me? Not had many in the past, either. Haha!
I meandered… well, hobbled slowly to the wet room, for action, a needed activation, from the rear end. I felt no urgency, but thank heavens I went when I did: The second my bottom hit the plastic raised seat, the flow began of its own accord. Eurgh!
To the kitchenette, and took this rather failed photograph of the first morning view.
How I got this, I do not know. But I tried again…
Another cock-up effort.
Although the row of houses looked remarkably like an Indian or Aztec carved head to me. Can you see it?
I suppose me being either a gifted pareidolian or bonkers, see it clearly. Haha!
I was beginning to feel less hassled now. Not exactly what I would call well, or supercalifragilisticexpialidocioused, but betterer the I did when I woke up.

Carer Richard arrived, and he soon got the diabetic socks and leggings on for me. Medicated issued, and he took a note of the prescription meds in the drawer. He took the laundry with him, which I appreciated, cause the last two callers didn’t.

As I got on with the blogging, and finally finished yesterday’s… all of the same ailments, plus the Mystery rib pains, began again.
I was not in good shape when the second Carer arrived.

I tried to get the ode done, but my concentration was bad at that moment. I reckon I’ve caught a chill or something. The were even worse. So, I gave up. I’m going to have an early meal and settle down for a break.
I took a Kodak Tim photo while prepping the fodder to have.
My pareidolia came out again. One of the little clouds (circled, right) looked just like a mouse to me. Just thought I’d mention it. I emptied out what drop there was of urine in the day pouch, and off to get the nosh cooking.
Ten minutes or so later, the empty pouch looked like this on the left!!!
No wonder my innards are playing up, then?
Still, it was a much lighter, almost perfect colour… which baffled me a little.
Mystery photo taken yet again here? Why, what for, when and any reasoning is not on the agenda at the moment. Another accidental activation?
Made a brew and got back on the computer for a while getting some blog catching-up done. Well, I say done, I made so many cock-ups I gave up after an hour or so.
I spent what seemed like an aeon getting the meal prepped, and eventually served up. Crispy potato cakes, garden peas and soya mini-sausages. Some rounds of milk roll bread and a sauce dip at hand. Worth it, even if I was fighting to stay awake. Flavour: 8.8/10. Ate it all up, and delved into the fridge to get some ice cream for afters. Very tasty they were too. I had three bars of wafered ice cream & chocolate. Hehe!

Washed the pots, and down in, or rather on, the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner. Put the TV on, but couldn’t stay awake to watch anything. Zzz!
woke me up an hour later. I was not in good shape response-wise.

I was off back to sleep within seconds of his departure. I think I was dreaming something about my teen years, but I’m not sure if she gave in to my charms or not… because  woke me up on the last visit of the day. Don’t recall much of it. He removed the leg strappings and issued the medications.

But could I get back to sleep this time? NO! Well, I did, but not for hours, which was a little hauling because I knew I had to get up early to get the ablutioning done… this is because I’d left the hot tap running cold again this afternoon, and was irked by my own stupidity yet again, three times in the last three days I’ve done this!
Then, of course, the real reason for my not getting to sleep arrived. … he kept on installing what sounded like evidence in a courtroom being read out… reminding me of my past failings, bad decisions and lack of success. On, and on he went!
When I say he went on, naturally, it was me doing it. I think. If I hate myself this much, the self-loathing must be mentioned to the Doctor on Thursday’s visit. But the shame and embarrassment do not make it easy.

May your foibles prove festal,
Peace dawns, unhesitatingly,
Have fun with your festoonery,
And you avoid anything festy!
You get freebies, frequently…
And you have fun, frenetically!

Fare Thee Well!

04:40hrs: Woke up with a certain reluctance.
was marauding through my mind. I had the sense that he had been having a go at me all through my short sleep. Eventually, I forced myself to move, after realising that it is important for me to get the tended too early… I can’t remember why, but was sure it needed to get done. I grappled my way out of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, twelve years ago from the charity shop, and then started to remove the . Oh, dearie me! Just look at the colour!
Took the above photo, emptied the bag, and got the things ready to go to the wet room to tackle the risky duty of getting Shaving, showering, medicating and dressing done.
The was needed first. At last, a change for the better. No total control from or , although Conrad had a slight advantage.
As you can see, the shaving had the odd little cut accrued, bleeding. Hehe!
I laid out the toilet roll sheets each time I had to use them. You can see how they bled less and less around the horseshoe of them on the raised toilet seat. Pretty!
Obviously, shaving, I eventually saw the return of the Red Eye again! What with blood in the urine, now blood in the left eye again, I awaited the third bleeding session. Pondering on what would be the cause of bloodletting number three. Haha! My guesstimate would be , and or Possibly, mayhap, possible even the .
I got the shower towel on the airer racking, and the nook it off. I’d got the laundry bag nearly full. Adding the towel made it full. I must ask the Carer to take it down with them for me.
Got on the computer.

Made a brew, and took this kitchen window view of the windy morning.

arrived. I asked her to cream the papules, put on the diabetic socks, ankle and leg strapping, and take the laundry down with her. The laundry is still there. But she did a great job with the strappings for me. A lovely gal. Took the rubbish bag with her too.

I persevered with this blog. Praying that the browser does not crash again!
Then started an Ode for tomorrow. Then made some graphics for cartoons later on.

I made an early meal. Cause I was feeling suddenly so tired and weary. Shut down the computer and put the sliced bacon bits and sausages in the oven at a high temperature.
Added the meat too the tomatoes and added some sea salt. Plenty of bread to help soak up the tomatoes.
One of the best meals for a few days enjoyability-wise! 9/10 flavour rating.

Then the recent ailments returned with a vengeance. Led by , with and an in-form . I felt sorry for myself, forced myself up to wash the pots, then it was down into c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. Put the new TV on, and lay there, totally unaware of what was showing on the goggle-box, trying to will away the aches and pains spiritually… which goes to show you what a clot, I am!
The coughing started again. I found a fair bit of blood on the kitchen towel I used to remove the upcoming dollops of phlegm.
At first, this was a worry, but I soon discovered it was the gums and teeth bleeding, not anything coming up from the innards. Phew!
Eventually, I relaxed a smidgeon as the coughing eased off, and the sore throat seemed to as well. The continued for hours?

I have a feeling I may have used this Fault before? Tsk! Anyway, here’s the result. Sorry if it’s been on the blog before.

.

Cheers!

Since my birth, I’ve been an unlucky Virgoean,
Born proletarian, and abecedarian,
A lack of education and articulation,
A new fungal growth on my abarticulation…
A born loser, an attractor of spite & abusion,
My dreams, and hopes, all ended in destruction.
I’m gullible, submissive, & accept coercion…
From almost anyone, whoever is the person,
I used to get the odd day that was halcyon,
But those times are now long gone…
Got a card and email both a birthday one.
Then continued pondering over the operation…
Will it go ahead? I feel apprehension.
Life is full of mental & health tension…
No one to pay me any attention…
Coping daily with pointless iterations.
And what happened to the United Nations?
No chance of me committing self-jugulation,
My whole life has been a misapprehension,
But I’m used to it now, the dank depression.
The PN problems with my neurotransmission,
Cognitive Impairment Iris? I offer submission!
All my ailments… this is an admission…
Are a part of me, a natural inclusion,
Like the repeated blood transfusion…
This piffle may include some contradictions,
My hearings at the point of decimation,
My eyesight is suffering degradation,
My walking is turning to hobbling and limping!
I still love to do some cloud pareidoliaing,
Cognitive Impairing Iris is most troubling,
So, my memory includes some guesstimating.
My regular falls can be a little nerve-wracking,
The crawl to the recliner, to get up, irritating,
Fall-Team Sarah ordered a bed; I’m waiting…
All a part of PN, the Whoopsiedangleplopping!
Cuts, bruises, dropping things, and falling,
My life must come over as being appalling?
I’m not moaning, more sort of whimpering…
Yet my hopes are not sunk, just sinking!
One Birthday Card, one via emailing…
At least I got two folks me well-wishing!
Many have got nothing,
To those, I’m now singing…
“♥ Happy Birthday to You! ♥”
I hope that your cheer is now replenishing!

03:50hrs: Back to imitation life. I came close to toppling out of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, as I bent down to get freed from the Excellent shade of urine this morning. A fuller bag as well!

Off to the kitchen to check on the taps and cooker.
Taking two shots of the morning view.
Another bad one is aboveThis close-up looked eerie

Got the waste bags sorted from the bins

The Porcelain Throne was visited.

Then I started the
The teeth bled again, the instant the brush got close to one of the few rotten teeth I had left in my mouth. Leaving me with pain from .
A few nicks shaving. A good stand-up bath then tackled the ailment treatments. as per usual. I tried the Sudocrem as the Germoloid and Germolene had very little left in each tube. And not much chance of getting any more. But it is not effective, really. It went on , then painfully onto . I didn’t get any olive oil for the ears either, so used what drop I had left sparingly, and this was not good, as my hearing was so much worse than usual.
Some now water papules coming up on the left leg
You can see the fluid building up near the ankle bone.

The and Spray was applied

Made a brew of Thompson Gold tea.
And got the computer on…

When it returned, the Norton was showing messages that meant little to me. No idea what it wanted me to do. It’s so confusing!

Carer Richard arrived. He looked well knackered, bless him. Not much chin-wagging… if any, today. He kindly took the laundry down with him and waste bags.

So, I got the photos taken of the Ginsters Cheese & Onion pastie with the metal shard found inside. I searched for Ginster’s email number, found it easily enough, and double-checked that I’d spelt it correctly, but Google, did not recognise it? So did another search and found a site to contact them… What a farce!
It was so complicated. But eventually, after an hour or so, it accepted my complaint.
I sent these photos in. They said someone would contact you, but  I’ve heard nothing from them, yet.
Then I lost the flipping shard of metal! The intercom went and it was the ~Iceland delivery coming. After sorting out the food, I just couldn’t remember where I put it, or find it. Grumph!
The form to fill in, well, a part of it.

ICELAND ARRIVE
FOOD!
The driver took the bags through to the kitchen for me.
Some cleaners put away
Panini rolls; went into the freezer, and I took out a loaf of wholemeal to defrost. The desserts, Rustlers and soy balls went in the fridge, and the bananas were on the shelf.

Took this later shot of the puffer clouds.
Back on the computer…

Made the funny ode about the birthday up and got it on here.
Then started to update the Sunday blog.
It took me a long while for some reason. I wondered if I may have fallen asleep? You never know

SUDDENLY FATIGUED – Again!
This scenario has been happening now and then for the last two weeks or so. It’s horrible! Physically drained, feeling so tired, weary. Just had to stop everything, couldn’t even get a meal. I was fixated on getting some sleep. Down on the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, and sleep came quickly.
The 18:00hr Carer called, not that I can recall too much of what happened. I think it was Carer Benjamin. The moment he departed, I was back in the land of nod. He returned minutes later, with my laundry bag, as I was getting my dinner… well, an iced sucker from the freezer. Sad, innit? Then, I had to hang and store the washing. Doing this simple task wore me out!

Back in the recliner…and the Landline Flashed. I was tempted to leave it, but, rightly as it happens, I had an idea (it was right, too! From my EQ) it might be Sister Jane, so I rose up and answered the telephone. I was not fully compos mentis, but we had a good chin-wagging session. Which, confused and tired as I felt, I did enjoy. Jane is going in for her Glaucoma operation on Wednesday. I wonder if I could get there to show her support? If I remember, I’ll ask the Carer in the morning to see if the people can fit me in for a ride to the EENT? I’d love to get to show her some attention. I’ll do that! I felt a smidge better after nattering and listening to Jane. ♥

Back in the recliner. Zzz! Where I stayed until his last call. I think he showed concern at my lack of response to him. I woke up occasionally, to find the legs had swollen. On the next wakening… Guilt! I espied in the waste bin near the chair… several empty Cheesy Curl packets, and crumbs on the night cover and floor! But just nodded off yet again. After this, it was back to waking up every few minutes with hypnic-myoclonic jerking me awake, then nodding off again and repeating the process, on and on and on, it went!

Today was undoubtedly one of the best days health-wise for many weeks. But the worst mentally.

Ah, well, yer can’t win them all!

My Frustration & Hatred Is Growing!

Excellent 3 for the urine night pouch colouring!

Feet after the little wander around in town yesterday.

Laundry bag return awaited.

I’m not sure why…
I took two photos of the waste bags?

A blurry early morning shot of the car park.

Then two other bad shots of the view ahead.

Got up around 03:30hrs, and the use of the did not arrive until gone 07:00hrs. dominated. Took some cleaning up!
.

Looks like a ghostly seat! I hung the towel over the shower chair and turned on the heater to dry it off. Cunning!
I remembered doing this an hour or two later, and I went to turn off the wet room emersion heater.

The Meridian Domestic lady did not arrive. Hope she was on holiday and not poorly. So I hoovered the hallway. Unfortunately, I my toe on the trolley walker wheel, right against the . This may have had other lesser men cringing and wingeing, but not me. I just laughed it off!

Made an early fine feast of sliced baked potatoes, soy imitation sausages, beetroot & tomatoes, red & yellows. Naturally, no sooner had sat down to watch the TV with the meal tray on my knees, and my taste buds tingling!
14:35hrs: The opticians rang. Can I bring some old spectacle frames in to use in the varifocal spectacles? The one the Carer took for me is too old to get a lens made to fit it?
Back to the meal…
14:48: The Doctor rang to say the Blepha decision will be emailed to me later. Humph!
Back to the meal…
15:00hrs: DVT Anticoagulation rang; the DV vein draining has been cancelled. They will make me another appointment.
Back to the meal…
The potatoes were barely lukewarm by then. How does this happen to me so often? Whatever time I get around to eating, someone will call, or the phone will burst into life.
Still, the nosh deserved an 8.4/10 rating!

Took this slightly better shot of the Chestnut Way car park in front of the flats when I washed the pots up.

I decided to watch some TV again. Huh! Turned it on again, and some sad adverts greeted me.
Kids have to live using underground water.
I noticed my new glasses on top of the cabinet and realised how lucky I am really, compared to some. Then…

The TV went off. A message something about; check your external and internal ariels? It came back on later again.

Oh, getting dark?
Five minutes later…
Another five minutes.

Did the eye treatment. used, then when it had dried, the Gel.

After 18:00hr Carer Benjamin called, and we found we were missing some tablets. I was in a pickle about it, cause it was Atorvastatin, and I had a weirdly strange feeling that Richard mentioned something on Monday to me about it coming later when he kindly fetched the prescriptions for me… but of course with , I’m just not sure. So, none tonight. Benjamin said he would have a look around down in the office for me in case they were in there. Thanked him, and he said he was doing the late call; if the tablets are in the Meridian office, he’d bring them up with him.

I got back on the computer, to find that...

Late Carer Carer arrived. He brought up the missing tablets and issued them with the Peptac; no painkillers were needed. Then attached the night pouch to He also responded to my request for him to hang up the laundry, which was only dressing gowns; bless him.

Turned off this computer, and I got settled in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden itch-inspiring, not working recliner in search of sleep. I put the TV on, cause that usually helps me to nod off, when the commercial adverts come on… but only when there is something on I wanted to watch. Hehe!

Evening, All!

I sprang back into pretend-life at 03:25hrs, and without any hesitancy, dilly-dallying or thoughts of any kind, other than I had a busy day and must start yesterday’s blog. I stood up from the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner.
Forgetting all about the night pouch being attached. I tugged at the long attacked tube extension, and Little Inchies made me jump as the blood flowed. I ended up falling backwards, and as my bum hit the cushion, I discerned that .
Not a very good start!

Waste bag assembled.

Topped up the treats counter.

Kitchen, a good job; the domestic gal is calling today.
She didn’t? I may have got the wrong day…

Kitchenette window view. Still early!

Ablutions. Galore!

Computer booted…
After an hour of trying…

Gave up and visited the…

Medicationalisationings.

Tried blogging again…

After resetting up from the start, comp off, without being able to save work done the returned… then…
Not coming back of its own accord. Rebooted just the box, reset it, gave it a minute or two & tried again…

The NHS Falls Team rang; she is coming later ♥

Carer Shaquille arrived for the early visit and medicationings.

The City Falls Team lady arrived. She was understanding, and we spoke at length about so many things. Of course, I can’t remember much of them now. But the lady was kind enough
to take my email address. She will send me details via email of what has been decided and what I needed to do. Thanked her, and off she went. I enjoyed that visit, methinks.

Next, Carer Kara came on a quick visit. She will return later for the finance checks for me. She did notice the cuts on my head that I thought had stopped bleeding and cleaned and Germolined them for me.

.
Got back on the computer. I would have gone on the , but…
.

Then…
.

Carer Kara returned for the finance & paperwork assisting.
I’d have loved her to get in touch with me.
But with so much to do in so little time, it was not possible. I’d love to get an internet service that works… get it sorted out!
But other things took precedence. Getting in touch with the Audio Centre to tell them I cannot find my Visit Record Booklet, and ask if I can go without it. Kara rang them, only to find out the place had temporarily been shut down?
She spent a while going through all my folders in search of it without any luck. Failure again! I am lucky!

Still no internet. Took some photos…
Gorgeous puffer clouds on the horizon.
Sherwood Vale Scene.
Through the balcony’s inner doors.

I must try to get out to get some more of the eye pads & .

Kara returned with the new glasses from the optician, the Carer Jo-Anne had fetched for me; bless her. They are the reading lens ones. Not as good as I had hoped; I have to lean forward more to get a clear depiction of the letters to read. Still, as she said, it’ll take time to get used to them.

The late afternoon sky!
The turning evening skies.
Later on, sunset.
Gorgeous!

Potatoes & bean stew for nosh! Boiled potatoes, mixed beans,
onions and the non-secret addition of some…

it looked like this…
Taste-Rating: 802/10.

Woken twice by the last care calls.
I don’t even remember who came. Benjamin, I think?
I was so tired out and mentally weary.
But I woke up with the night pouch attached.

Carers called. Nor phone calls, No Texts, no other callers.
And… this is true! Guess what went down only three times in
well over six hours?

Mug of Thompson Punjana tea…
and a pot noodle!

After the midday Carer, Rhamat called; she bought my laundry bag, bless her, as I was about to post the finished blog for yesterday to WP.

Now, time for the dreaded full-service
Shave, shower, nasal spraying, teggies, Germolene, Germoloid, Corticoid creaming of , Eye drops, and . Pain Gelling of , , and medicating the tube that is stuck in Little Inchy’s protuberance. (I cringed when I wrote that, you know!) Then when dried off with the towel, that came back from the laundry still damp earlier, Sprinkle some aftershave to stop the inevitable cuts and nicks I’ll get shaving. A splash-over with the Brut, eye-drops… Oh, I may use the as well… it’s overdue!
I May Be a While... Hahaha!

I’m back – it didn’t go very well!
Certainly not as planned or hoped for.
① I thought I was in need, at long last, of the . I was wrong. I realised this after about 5 minutes of astronomically induced amounts of spurting (the pot noodle?) winds finally ended. I gave up!

② Got the teeth done; results can be seen above after I’d got dressed, 2 hours later, abluted! Haha!

③ Shaving: I dropped the canister of shaving foam, and it (as dropped things usually do for me) bounced off the side of the sink and fell right on the worst toe possible; My!!!

④ Getting into the bowl of water to do my feet medicationalisationing – I got a !

⑤ Into the shower, got the heat right, and dropped the shower gel bottle. I needn’t tell you what it landed on. OUCH!

⑥ My final occurred; I head-butted the shower power box. Getting a tiny little scar for the cut that I accrued. Tsk!
I did the medicationalisationing without any further injuries being suffered!

⑥ However, there was a late . Getting the Depend Protection pants on, I had a wobble getting the left leg into them. And against the floor cabinet corner… but remained on my feet!

I had to put the still-damp returned dressing gown on, as it was the only one thick enough to wear, as the weather had suddenly changed. The wind was howling now. It suddenly went dark when Carer Benjamin had been here for five minutes. As he left, I took this snap from the kitchen window. As I opened those mentioned above, I thought I would get blown over, so strong was the wind.
Murky?

Later one…
As I began preparing the late nosh…

Nosh Sorted!
Prettily presented plate of provender…

Simply battered balls and potatoes.
No-Butter butter and BBQ sauce, put on each half a potato with a bit of salt and vinegar on the battered No-Fish fish balls. Bootiful! Taste Rating 808/10! Ate it all up, put the empty food tray on the carers table, and fell into a deep sleep! Not for long, though…

Carer Richard arrived to sort me out. Although, at the time, I recall only wanting to get back to my precious, in short-supply sleep. Hehe!
A STROKE OF LUCK! (At Last!).
Tonight, finally, after a week and two days, of farting about trying to get the Blepharitis Gel tube to work properly…
It dawned on my impaired brain what I was doing wrong! How the heck? I didn’t realise it before; it beats me! I’d tried to apply it to the eye pad like you would with a standard toothpaste tube. Then understood I had to press the thingamabob at the top to release the gel. !
Ah, well!

As usual, being woken up again was no longer interested in letting me get back to my much-needed sleep. Humph! I nearly reached a state of stupefaction a few times, but on every occasion this happened, I’d burst awake with jolting, jarring, buffeting, twitch, tremor, juddering, judder! So, I cursed a little and gave up any idea of getting any sleep. And turned on the TV.
To find that replay football matches were on the channel.
This comforted me; the first of the new seasons’ Premiership League game highlights were showing. The first match was Chelsea v Liverpool. I nodded off into the land of nod in the game’s first minute.
Waking up with the regulation shuddering, flapping, and threshing about. Waking as the programme was finishing to realise I’d missed three other matches as they displayed the results as the programme closed

Spent what was left of the morning failing to get to sleep. At least the darned left me alone.

TTFNski!

After briefly calling on Warden Deana, I made my way back up to the flat. En route, I decided I could get a lot done if I could escape down to Sherwood.
Food from the Ozam shop. Batteries & Anti-diarrhoea tablets from Wilko. A watch battery from the cobblers on Haydn Road, Get a flu jab arranged at a chemist. Call on the opticians to book an appointment to get an eye test & new spectacles… Oh, Yes! This, I determined would be a productive hobble…
Of course, I should have known better.
I went up into the flat and was well-pleased with myself for remembering to take the Kodak with me.
Again, my emotions were deluding, hornswoggling me.

I got down and out to the bus stop. No one else about, I thought I’d take a photo or two of the shelter and flats…
I realised that I had left the SD card for the Kodak, on the computer! Grrr! .
Not enough time to get up to the flat to pick up the SD card, and back in time for the bus. Which was due in 8 minutes.
I’ll have to buy one in Sherwood.

Dropped, literally, off the bus at the bottom of Winchester Street. Two passers-by kindly untangled me from the, my having fallen getting off of the vehicle courtesy of , and they got me back on my plates-of-meat.

This was a bad start… but things got worse later!

I hobbled along to the Ozam store first. Feeling a smidge nervous, now, and a few blasts from didn’t help.
It was a struggle to get around the store with the , and I ended up getting stuck at the end of an aisle, too narrow to push the trolley through, so ended up trying to lift it over the things in the aisle… An unhappy-with-me assistant came and lifted it for me. I paid my dues, and set off to the Cobblers on Haydn Road, to get the watch battery.

All of the pavements were uneven, wheel trap potholes, or had cracked tiles. Now I was even more nervous; took my time as seeing the cracks in advance, was not easy with my eyesight.
The Cobbler chap soon sorted me out… Well, as soon as he’d spent ten minutes talking to his mate.

Then I went into a shop to buy another SD card so I could take some photographs. The chap was a smidge superior speaking to me at first, but when I apologised for the shaking telling him it was due to , he said his brother had it as well and seemed to change tack with me; he was so friendly and helpful! I asked if I could take a photo to make sure it works on the Kodak. I took a snap of the chap! It worked!

Paid and departed, crossed the road, not a mean feat with he Sherwood madmen drivers on Mansfield Road I can tell Ayer!.
Hobbled up the road, and called in the Co-op store to see if they had any decent tomatoes or garden peas. They had no garden peas, and the tomatoes were a little spongy! So I left. Not responding to a beggar that is always there outside the shop.

Up the hill some more, and into the Opticians.
Who made an appointment for me for next Tuesday.
The kind lady told me to see if any of the frames on the old glasses were okay and bring it with me, to have the lenses fitted to it on the new prescription. Good timing I thought, 09:40hrs, I can catch the 0932hrs 40 bus down, hopefully getting up to the opticians in time. But, of course, this is me we are reading about, innit? I realised I’d got the Iceland order coming on Tuesday, twix 8;00>20:00hrs, after leaving the shop. All is not lost though! It is Friday lunchtime now, and I managed to change the Iceland order to Wednesday…

I limped carefully up the road to the chemists to ask about the flu jab. I did notice as arrived, that it is no longer a Lloyds Pharmacy sign above the window. Got it and asked the assistant about how I can book a flu jab. She said we don’t do them now – but the All Night Pharmacy will do them!
Great, I’d just walked agonisingly to and from yards away from the All Night Chemist, then the length of Sherwood back up to what was Lloyds Chemist, not I have to all the way back to the other end, the returned to the middle to get a bus up Winchester Street, home, hopefully!
Still, I got some more photos taken en route.

THE ALL-NIGHT PHARMACY VISIT

I hobbled into the shop… the pavements were even worse at that end of the road. I nearly had the 3-Wheeled-Walker over a couple of times getting there, and had to get back afterwards!
I asked about my booking a flu jab, and a dagger-staring look of incredulity back… “We do not do flu jabs until September!” I actually apologised for asking!
Then inquired if they sell the anti-diarrhorea capsules.
12 capsules for £4.44. No wonder Asda have run out of there’s,
They are 6 for £1.09. Same ingredients.

I started the hobble back to Winchester Street and came across this white van parked on the already damaged kerbing. I had the choice of walking on the road, or broken tiles… I opted for the cracked, broken tiles route.

I eventually got to Winchester Street and started walking up to the bus stop. Remembering that I had a watch that worked on now. It had gone 18:00hrs! Blimey the time had blown!

But the thought that I would soon be back in my padded cell and get something to eat spurred me to the bus stop!

According to the sign display, the next bus was due to arrive in 22 minutes. BUT! It was a 40X! Which do not go to the flats.
I started the long uphill trek up Winchester Street Hill.
I needed the exercise I suppose.

Finally, all weary and dodgy on the feet, Winwood Heights came into view! It dawned on me that I was lucky to live here… avoiding going into a home is my plan. I know it will have to come as things worsen mentally and physically. But not yet!

I took this photo of the wildflowers on Citrus Grove as I neared the Winchester Court entrance. Bootiful!

Crossed over the road and passed the bus shelter to the main entrance swipe doors…

I hadn’t noticed when I left the flats earlier in the day, that the window had been broken. I knocked on the Meridian Carers door to tell them I was back. No reply. Cause maybe I didn’t knock hard enough? Nobody about that I knew. I went through into the Winwood Heights lobby.

Through the link passage from Winwood to Woodthorpe Court.

At last, back in the flat.
Emptied the pouch.
Got the receipts, purchases and food put away. And hastened to make a much-merited meal. Using the smoked cooked belly pork from the Ozam store on Milk Roll Bread, with huge chunks of the not-butter butter, which I adore the flavour of!

Put some pickle on the bread, and the none-meat pies that I’d halved, and served it up!

Tomatoes and pickled beetroot too!
Meal of the week!
Flavour-Rating: 9.3/10!

I made up the route maps I used in the morning to go on here. This is the second one, with the routes walking taken.

Carer Chris appeared. No more eye drops for me. That is until we get clarification. Chris attached the night bag to
day pouch.

After eating well, I took this one photo of the evening…

Superb Nature at its finest!

Cheers!

Up at 04:35hrs. (I thought it was later)
Removed the attached night bag with some effort, from . Empted and wrapped the night bag in another bag, and sealed it in the yellow box.

It looked nice and light in the first picture.
I took a second to show the content level.
It now looked darker?

Stripped off to go and to get the ABLUTIONS done. By the time I got inside the wet room, a sudden grumbling from the innards, forced a change of plans, and I lunged towards the much-needed swiftly . I half-expected a fully-controlled evacuation; it felt solid enough, though, and the current regulation two torpedoes almost shot out, creating a tsunami in the bowl. Six trips to fetch water to refill the not-working, unmended W.C. tank.

Five cuts shaving, all in the neck area. Let’s face it, that should be expected; this is the only area on the head where hairs grow still. apart from the ‘tash, and that is running out fast. Hehehe!
Body wash completed. It is not so easy doing around , or the inserted tube in Little Inchie. Even in the bum cleaning session, I dropped the cloth twice, then got over-enthusiastic and got the external perishers of ! Tsk!

I struggled to get some cream on the right ankle ulcer.
Looks like it is developing and ready to burst out again soon.
He’s not done this for many a month.

Oh, Sod-It!
Just got the aftershave, and deodorants were used, medicated the various areas in need; and could hardly believe it, once again, the was needed! now in full control. Gooey, yet splattery. What a mess; it took me ages to get the porcelain and, yes… floor, and I cleaned up again!

Then, of course, the job of hauling water to refill the tank.
Got it all sorted in the end.

Got the waste gag sorted and ready to go.

Got the computer on. Carer Kara arrived. Soon got me sorted out. Eye drops, medications, and bless her, she rubbed some
into my back.

No sooner had she gone, than a worryingly third summoning to the was needed. was in full flow now. I’m concerned about going to the hospital in this state… don’t need any more in that department! I’ll put some toilet rolls in the trolley.

Made up some Soda water drinks, adding the raspberry flavoured juice in them.

Checked the kitchen. All safe.

Turned off the computer, and started to get the things ready before my last clean-up to set off for the lift.

Sister Jane rang me with news of an incident that has closed part of the City Centre, ST Anns and close to me, Magdala Road!

This is the latest from the BBC

What do we know so far?

Developments in Nottingham are moving fast – and we are working double time to get you the full picture.

Here’s a rundown of what we know so far:

  • In a statement, the force said it was called to Ilkeston Road in the city at 04:00 BST, where two people were found dead
  • Officers were called to a second incident on Milton Street, where a van had attempted to run over three people, who are being treated for their injuries, condition unknown.
  • A man has also been found dead on Magdala Road
  • Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Home Secretary Suella Braverman say they are being kept updated about developments
  • Chief Constable Kate Meynell says the three “horrific and tragic” incidents are believed to be linked

OF course, even if the culprits are caught and given life imprisonment; The murderous themselves, Parole Board animals will ensure they get freed to kill again in a few years!

Getting ready for the hospital trip was something of a daymare!

❶ Managed to get the trousers. (No socks attempted, no help).
❷ Getting the shoes on was the hardest part, and as gave up, to try again on the first one. , the urine flowed from the Catheter! Arrgh!
❸ Had a hell-of-a-mess! Peed on my legs and feet, the trousers, the shoe, and it took so long to get cleaned up…
❹ Then, the trousers were thrown out, and I had to get another pair from the racking – time running out here…
❹ But the fresh pair were too wide, and then I had to get the belt threaded through the hoops. Had to take the trews down to enable access… all the time worrying about another catching of the valve and leak!
❺ Got them back on, and then the challenge of getting the shoes on started again… it was a painful battle, but no help was available; so I pressed on. It took me ages to get them on, and I could not get to straighten the tongue, so I had to wear feet crippling painful shoes all day.

Then a mad rush to get down to the lobby in time. I managed with three minutes to spare, then spent the next ten minutes sitting in the lobby, worrying if, in my haste, I might have left a tap running, or the stove on in the flat… Oh, dearie me!

The lift arrived, no signage on it, so I hoped it was them. It was! I got onto the bus, tied down in the seat, for a worrying trip, as the seat was narrow, and pressing against the one in front, threatening to burst or cause to leak from the valve of pouch!

ARRIVAL AT THE HOSPITAL EENT

The driver got us hastily to his next pick up neat Middleton Boulevard. Collected a lady, and on to the QMC...
With him having the lady in the mini-bus, the driver could not escort me to the department needed, but I felt confident I remembered the way from the last visit. (I didn’t, how wrong can one be?) I got in through the doors, and…
, and kicked off. Add that there must have been a somewhere during the next few minutes, because; The next thing I recall is being on another floor and simply lost! Someone came to me and asked if I was alright. Showed him or her the letter, and told me I wanted the ground floor. Took the lift down, and by the time I got there, my mind was clearing nicely. Found my way to the reception.

I tried to sneak a photograph of the large waiting room. Realising although I’d remembered to take the Kodak, I’d left the SD card in the computer at home. Grrr!

As the lady told me to take a seat, the Mind-Fog returned. I sat down, and within minutes a lady came to collect me. A stern young lady. Not forthcoming with any details but went through whatever procedure it was checking each eye. Opened the door, pointed to the seating, and said, ‘Wait there’, so I did.

I rearranged tackle to a more comfortable position, I was collected by another medic, and I walked into another waiting room, and took, as instructed, a seat to await being called into the next surgery.
Then someone else came out and took me to a treatment room there. This lady did a few Eye Tests on the machine… And on another machine, then eye tests on both eyes.
Both repeated using an. OCCLUDER
What is the purpose of an eye occluder?
I looked it up: A pinhole occluder (an opaque disc with one or more small holes) is used to determine whether the reduced vision is caused by refractive error, possibly Myopia.
If this is the case, the pinhole will cause an improvement in visual acuity. It improved one of the eyes but not the other, I can’t recall which one, though. My guess is, it was either the left or mayhap the right one! Hehehe!

Back out and led to yet another waiting area. Shortly another lady came to me, to tell me that this was for the last checks, with the lady in charge. Dr Dahlia Said. Off into her office, and some checks made in both eyes with weird squiggly colours and lines flashing. She did not look too happy and silently consulted her computer. Then, gave me the results of all the tests collectively; I may have got things wrong, but this is how I remember it going.

The right eye: with the new cataract: Tiny crack underneath – further investigation needs surgery and an x-ray. It’s possible the cataract will need removing/lasering and a new one fitted; then, a new cornea will need to be put over the eye. Overnight job if done together.
I was given a prescription, to take to the Hospital’s Pharmacy for filling. These will be for two different eye drops: both just for the right eye. The first one will need putting in four times a day, for a month – important you do take them on time and miss none of this first course of drops.
The second bottle of drops, is totally different, which should help during the upcoming surgery. Do not mix them! These are also four a day, for the next month. Take extreme care not to let any of either medication spill on your face.

The left eye: Needs the cataract done afterwards. The
Glaucoma drops are not to be supplied until all is as it should be with my cataracts on both eyes. The main treatment will be just eye drops initially. Hey-Ho!

On my way out, a lady stopped me and explained that my going to the Pharmacy at the hospital at this time, would possibly involve a 5-6 hour wait, as they get very busy. So, we will post, it in the mail to you. So you can leave now. That was extremely nice of her, and I said so. ♥

So, off to the front door forecourt area, without getting lost, I might add.
I had a farcical chinwag with another old-timer who was waiting for a lift. I’m not sure of what he was saying, any more than he knew what I was going on about. Hehehe! But we both seemed glad to have some sort of a natter, I think.

My lift arrived spot on time. And was driven Stirling Moss-style back to the flat in Sherwood. As we passed the Willow House Chinese takeaway, on Mansfield Road, all illuminated, I really would have loved to get something to eat.

No bother from the usually troublesome flipping bag, when I go out at all. The bag was not half full when I got back into the flat. Which I found . Up to the flat. considered calling for a takeaway, but relented.
I called Meridian’s Nightline and told them I was back home from the hospital, and asked them to inform the Carer for me. Which he did. Carer Chris arrived. He arrived ten minutes later. I nearly bored him to death with my tale of the trip to the QMC. Hehe! Medications were given, but no Phorpain Gel, as I forgot to ask him, me wanting to relate the day’s happenings. Haha!
Eye drops were issued. Peptac taken.

THE NOSH
Chips in gravy, two roast potatoes, both done in the microwave.
I’ll not bother with these again. Two wholemeal rolls to soak up the liquid… it was horrible!
Taste rating 3/10. That was generous!

Put the TV on, and fell asleep.
Woken up with Carer Chris returning.
He got the eye drops in and sorted out the night back being attached to the .

An earlier photo that I missed. Tsk!

EVENING ALL!
Wednesday evening by the time I got this done. Humph!

Sleep? What’s that, then?

Another quickie here, folks, sorry.

Up at 06:20hrs. The night pouch was removed. Which started off very annoyed with me, Back-Pain-Brenda, for the rest of the day. Huh!

However, the urine was a healthy colour. Got the pouch emptied. Wrapped it was per the instructions in a blue bag. Then thought I’d better get a shave at long last. I stripped (Not the catheter, of course) and had a good stand-up body scrubbing session. As I was about to get the shaving done, the door chime chimed. No, I didn’t mean that… the intercom chimed; luckily, I’d left the wet room door open, or else I’d never have heard it. It was the Ocado delivery I ordered last week and forgot all about, and ordered an Asda delivery for today as well. I know, four weeks on the trot now that I’ve done this. Is there no hope for me?

Not a lot of things, though, but some expensive stuff in there, And some favourites that no other store stocks now?

Like Marmite crisps, well loaded up now!.

The costly Flash mop thingamajigs, wet and dry pads.
They were on sale at half-price!!!

Then the Lynt Easter eggs the carers like, and fresh (Kenyan) podded peas: neither of which are available elsewhere!

Some reet treats here, Alcohol-Free fizzy pretend champagne.
Blood orange tonic weather as well. I shared a bottle of the ersatz plonk with someone later on.

Then after getting things put away and taking a painkiller to appease the bone-shaking Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, the door chime did go off, and in came Carer Richard as I was putting the kettle on.

The lad got down to sorting out the medications for me, and we had a few minutes of the nattering session, during which he gave me some advice. He was feeling a smidge better, he said this morning. Great news; if he meant it, bless him. Off he trotted, with me telling him to get to bed. Hehe!

Moments later, the Asda order arrived. A big one this was; it filled eight carrier bags and two boxes.

Accifauxpa getting one of the carriers inside.
I was carrying it with both hands and tripped over the stick as it fell from my arm… This caused the inserted into Little Inchie Catheter Cathleen tubing to be yanked a little. Christ, it hurt! Still does, actually, nine hours later!

However, being the trooper, hero, and brave bold man I am, after stopping the bleeding, I just got on with the mammoth job of sorting out the delivery. Naturally, it didn’t bother a man of my calibre in the least.

I realised that I’d bought several packets of pickled onion crisps. Cause I’d forgotten that I’d ordered the Marmite crisps. I may have to live on them for a few weeks… along with the Cheesy Curls…
But no, to my amazement, they had delivered so many of the items that they had not had in for ages, I ordered two of them or another variety… they fooled me and only had one item not available.

I  restocked the Carers and Nurses shelf.

Hohoho! Just look at the new biscuits they had in stock!.

Galaxy Chocolate digestives – Bootiful!
Maryland Cookies – Caramelised! Great!

A sliced Farmhouse loaf!!!

Very Nice!

Well, a nicely stocked fridge & Freezer now!

I am a glutton!

To say how busy I was all day…

Thus not concentrating on drinking, I was pleased with the
urine flow. Although in the evening, it did get a bit bloody.

Just after midday, a shot of the Sherwood housing.

Then things got busy and went pear-shaped after Carer Kara, Sarah or Samantha visited to see me…
Sister Jane rang, and we had a nice gossip.
Nurse Christina called to say she would be coming tomorrow to take the INR blood test for me.
Esther called to see how I was. Bit unfortunate in the timing cause just as I caught the damned catheter tube again, Argh! And the blood flowed as she rang, so I could not concentrate properly on what she was saying.
Then a belated Amazon delivery arrived, washing soda.
Then…

It was getting late, and my eyes were as usual, getting increasingly blurred; I think I must have hit the wrong combination of keys, and CorelDraw froze on me!  I lost all the work I’d just done as I was about to save them to file. Grrr!
I had to force close things and restart the computer. With fingers crossed that all the photos of the sunset and the day’s happenings would still be on CorelDraw – HA! No chance! I booted and opened CorelDraw, and ALL THE WORK I’d done over the last three hours HAD BEEN LOST!
Not only did I have to do it all again, but the file had to be name changed, and I lost over an hour trying to find the original to do so!

Not going too well at the moment!

Carer Charley arrived, and we laughed and nattered for a short while, which cheered me up a smidgeon.

I took the above picture while waiting for the kettle to boil.

This below is the last day photo I’d taken and forgot to put on earlier.

You can see the sunset getting ready to appear at the bottom.
And Bootiful it was when it came.

I had another bash at this blog, then got myself something to eat.
A reet treat, too!

Well, apart from the soggy tomatoes and not nice
Kenyan peas and slightly tasteless potatoes,
The imitation pork & strawberry cheesecake
were fine. Taste-Rating: 6.2/10.

Arrived. Got the
and the medications are given. We put the world to right during our three-minute chinwag. (We brought back hanging, 20-year minimum sentences for anyone who kills anyone with a vehicle, Escooters, or bike) Made a life term to be a life term for murderers, and got rid of all the Parole Boards, and sentenced everyone involved in freeing a convicted killer to murder again to life imprisonment on bread & water, with no visitors and no medical treatment. Made cannabis legal, unless when driving. Brought down the cost of Vodka for Richard, and Marmite Crisps for me. Well, that was a fine start. Now we have to form a political Party.
Hehehe!

Pain, frustration and everything taking so

long to get done. My blog suffers again!
If things don’t improve soon… I’ll sulk!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

This morning’s awakening tales may be the longest bit in the diary.
Horrendous is the word, methinks!

I stirred back into pretend life early; I think it was.

The moment I learnt forward to have a peep at the overnight catheter pouch in the bucket – the started off!

.
The urine looked a smidge, like it had blood in it.
I removed the night pouch, gathered the bowl and went to pack away the used bag, visit the Porcelain Throne, and have a clean-up…

.
Oh, Heckithump! . The day bag appeared to have clod specs on it. I made sure it wasn’t something stuck to the outside of the pouch… Nope! They were inside! Then I deposited some evacuated waste from the rear end…
.
BACK TO SQUARE ONE AGAIN!

Not only was Little Inchy bleeding from the tubing now the rear end was bloodied as well. Just as it was four weeks ago when I first realised I had a problem with the urine infection, and ended up at the Queens Medical A&E and the for two days.
Still, no panic yet. I’m seeing the Doctor in the morning. Initially to get advice on what the has decided needs doing, and have told the Doctor about my condition.
It’s all go here, with nothing happening… apart from being in pain for four weeks without any break. You don’t like to complain, do yer?

.
I’m not sure why I took this picture.

.
These poor-quality shots were taken.
.
Tried this one again…
.
Ah, well, a little better, mayhap.

Messy kitchen.
Messy kitchen with the light switched on.

When called, the catheter day bag, after being emptied half an hour before, was at bursting point! It’s getting that red tinge to it again it.

Yet three hours later, this is all it had amassed?
Getting confusing this is…

I made an order with Ocado. As I told on his next call,
I took my time and made sure I ordered it for the right day this time… A temporary We’ll see?

Getting a little hungry now as the light begins to fade.

As I settled to get the early meal, having abandoned blogging.
I (Well, Little Inchie too!) was just in so much pain; tired and knowing I had the appointment in the morning, was determined to get the best proper session possible done. And bravely (Haha!) opted to have a good shower, despite .
But first, the meal… I took a bite of one of the potato-rostis and realised that the dark centre blotches on each one were not BBQ sauce at all!. I spat out the spud. And put the rest in the bin straight away. Which sort of ruined the feast completely!
After eating what was left, a . I got the packaging from the waste bin and used the magnifying glass to find and see the use-by date… Ahem! Oh, dearie me!
January 18th!
BOING!

The session went wellish… apart from…
① Another mini-chunk was broken of a bicuspid.
② Three cuts shaving…
③ Dropped the razor three times, retrieved using the picker-upperer
④ The top grip on snapped off in the shower!
⑤ That cost me half an hour putting right… well…
⑥ I dropped the shower head…
⑦ Landed right on my

: Dropped the olive oil bottle, didn’t break, but me took ages to clear it up, and then started!

: Ran out of Daktacort to stop Little Inchie bleeding!
     However, on the bright side…
, No , or attacks! I was also free of routines! , the, were kind to me, too! only toyed with me for a minute or two. And ‘s visit was the shortest ever! No shower power box head-butting, and NO TUMBLES!
So, overall, I reckon I got off lightly this morning! Erm, I mean tonight!

Arrived as I was finishing getting dressed and preparing things to take with me to the doctor’s visit. He got the medications given to me and to use attached the day pouch. Adjusting the loose straps for me. Bless him!
He checked the taps and cooker, and all were okay.
The lad was very tired and swearing a lot. Not that this stops him from caring for me in detail: He reminded me to ring for a taxi to get to the surgery in the morning. This lad is a good ‘un!
I hobbled, night bag and bowl in hand, stick in the other to the door with him. Said our fare-thee-wells, and I locked the door.

Back in the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. Where with the tubing hanging off of my leg, the pouches feeling so cold for some reason, and the leak bowl in position – I had a few moments of indecision; call it wavering, hesitancy, vacillation, irresolution or doubtfulness regarding whether to catch the bus or to order a taxi in the morning. ‘Dithering commenced’.

I wanted to walk, but I’ve not been out on a walk for ages… a chance to prove I can still do it, mayhap? I soon realised that would be too much – then thought about getting the bus down the hill into Sherwood and busing it to Carrington… on the other hand, if I felt okay, I could walk it along Mansfield Road up the hill and down into Carrington. I’ll have the three-wheeled walker with me, so it could work? Or should I use the telephone number that Richard found for me and call a hire car? For some unfathomable reason, this was playing on my mind for hours?

I nearly forgot the evening sunset shot!

Erm… Evening all!
