It took me that long to just get the lead items, graphics, and ode done; it was nearly time to get up from the sleep that I never had… Sorry.

Flash in the dark photo.
Multicoloured morning sky.
Carer Richard got the diabetic socks, leggings and med’s sorted out for me.
Tea, bikkies & a mini banana.
I emptied the catheter day pouch. And no more the 25 minutes later, it was filled again? 1200ml!
Carer Kara came. Checked the catheter, and she said she would change it tomorrow for me. She checked the bank statement, and read out some points on it. But I fear people do not appreciate the FND, Arithmaphobia, and PN effects, which make it so hard for me to get figures, causes and to-do’s in my head and stay there. Confused! Not easy when I keep changing topics or problems, I seem to get in a muddle so easily nowadays, mentally. Kara was patient with me. But not a lot sank in. Bless her! ♥
The pleasure of Nurse Hristina coming to take my blood was another highlight for me. ♥ I mentioned the tablets I’ve been waiting for for a week, the 4-week course of something to increase the Critically low amount of vitamin B12 & 7 found on the last blood test. I’d forgotten that Richard had already told me he would collect them on Friday for me. So, now I must remember the four-week course must be completed.
Tried to take another selfie on the computer screen. I was offering a Mr Spock salute. Hehehe!
Made a fairly good-looking meal. Surimi sticks, tomatoes, Pickled green tomato salad, sourdough bread with chinks of no-butter, butter on them. Four oven-baked potato cakes. Then I added a pot of raspberry jelly.
I made an Asda order for next Tues, 18th, 07:00>08:00hrs. Kara checked this earlier as I had just started making up the order as she arrived.
Lots of stuff was missed today. Not that it matters. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
So far behind again, comments at a minimum; most of them are anyway. Sorry.
A wee bit dark. Haha!
The first morning view.
A bit of bother this morning from . Followed by an Inchy cock-up! I saw the date on the Paracetamol box. I assumed this was the use-by date. I dished them and got another box out of the medical drawer. Then realised the date was the delivery date. Humph!
Eurgh!
I realised I had not had much time before the Carer called, but I decided I could surely get a full stand-up wash and shave in an hour & a half. So, I proceeded at a hurried pace. By Jimminee! I did it when I’d estimated… well, nearly anyway! One teeny-weeny nick shaving, I hit the shoulder on the door-frame, leaving the wet room and got the PPs on without injury! I considered going into a . But didn’t. I found a bruise on top of my left foot, but I didn’t know why or where from. Oh, and I did the shaving while standing in a bowl of hot, disinfected, soapy water with bi-carb in it, so the dirt came up from the feet. And all without slips or injuries!
I got the dressing gown on, and the leggings and diabetic socks out ready, as arrived. I explained that I was not going to put the ankle or leg strapping on yet, and was leaving it for the midday Carer. Because I wanted to get the cream on the legs and let it sink in properly. This does indeed help ease the eruptions, but only if I can get the time to let it soak in properly under the diabetic socks. Which Richard put on for me next after giving me the morning prescription medication and Peptac.
The JS order arrived. I carried the bags to the kitchen one at a time, leaving them on the floor to return to Richard. Who was tired out. He offered to help put the food away, but I thought it best if the lad got home and to bed, sharpish. Cheerios and treats were done, and I returned to the kitchen and the bags. This is when I came over all Pareidolianiable, Hehe! I took a photo of the bags on the floor… I saw something in the photo that had me back on the computer and CorelDraw to make the graphic I spotted. I just had to do it! My sense of humour was alive and kicking!
Back to putting the goods away. The doorstep-sized sliced Sourdough bread was massive. It was a substitute for two little sourdough rolls. I’ll ask if anyone would help by taking half the loaf to use cause it was far too much for me to eat without it going out of date, and I had no room in the freezer. At last, I’d got some of the Branston Fruit Sauce, 3 bottles; although they were not cheap, they remain my favourite brown sauce. The diddly bananas will do for me. Some biscuits, too.
The light arrived, and I took these shots. From the kitchen window.
Again, the bladder pains informed me that the day pouch was backing up. I can’t understand why it has been doing this lately?
Did the midday call. She brought in some mail that had been posted for me. One from the bank. The other is from Lisa in the USA with a Christmas Card; bless her. She is such a treasure to me. With all her ailments that outnumber mine, I think she’s so caring and kind! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Then Kara put the diabetic socks on for me and checked the day pouch. Bless her.
Got a landline call come in; it was Hristina. She is calling tomorrow to take the DVT Warfarin INR blood test for me. All my sweetheart connections today are cheering me up. I took a can of Gin Spritz to neighbour Jo,sie too.
I decided that I’d have the cheapo off-cut bacon today with tomatoes; I’m doing the bacon in the oven, but I had to cut off such a lot of fat that the product that went in the waste bin was three times the size of what made it into the oven. Made them small chunky bits so they cook quicker and crisper. Przyprawa and liquid sea salt were added to the tomatoes in the saucepan, and later, I added the bacon and some soya pieces. I can heat this up easier later on.
Two late afternoon shots.
Did the first evening call. He was half-with-me and half-not. He selected a nibble and bottle of pop and took the laundry bag with him. I hope it comes back this time! As he left, I spotted the sunset, and it was about to sink out of view. I hastened to fetch , and as I , into the balcony to take a couple of shots. I got the first one just as the sun seemed racing down over the horizon. By the time I’d got set to take another… The sun had disappeared!
Finally, I made a start on this blog. Talk about getting further & further behind...
Many hours later, I decided to give up and get the meal heated and eaten. Hehehe! It went down gorgeously. Well worth the long time spent in preparation. I ate the sourdough bread and most of the tomato and bacon mix. Great!
So many again today. It is now gone 18:00hrs, and I have only just started on this blog!
The Major , was with the Ode creating. You wouldn’t believe how I was struggling with the graphic header above on CorelDraw without even starting on the ode-making itself! I’d eventually, after several hours, got it how I wanted it. Copied it and turned the copied version to BMP; I usually do this so I have a vector copy to restart over with, in case of errors, cock-ups etc., grammar-wise or colour-wise.
It was well into the afternoon by then.
I went to make a brew of tea, saw a fire through the kitchen window across Sherwood, and took some photographs of the smoke for this blog. When I returned to the computer… I deleted the Bitmap... and the Vector graphic. Not noticing at the time. Then, I spent hours doing the ode wording to try to get a bit of humour going, changing and tweaking it here and there, and eventually, I was satisfied that it was okay and error-free. Then, I realised the header graphics had both been deleted! Self-Hatred flourished! I never got caught up after that.
Gonna be a long day! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I awoke after another lousy night of odd dreams (Hence today’s Ode). Unaware of the upcoming disasters! I got the nocturnal Catheter pouch off, and as seems usual lately, I had to visit the Porcelain Throne. Ruled the evacuation, but not so bad as yesterday. I thought to myself, Ah, things might not be so bad today, a decent start… I should have known better, of course.
I returned to the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner. Noticing the six empty packets of Cheese Curls in the bin near the ottoman. I know I have many problems, , and the newly diagnosed but surely I should remember eating all those darned nibbles nocturnally? The mess of crumbs in the quilt cover and on the floor made me madder than ever with my nighttime feasting! What? Into the kitchen to get the potatoes in the crock-pot. I have now been cooking for 13 hours! I took a shot of the morning view. But it was not a very good one again. Oh, dearie me! Trotsky was bad to his worst, or best, whichever way you look at it. I can’t believe how many toilet rolls I’ve got through in the last few days!
I got the computer going and was still in semi-hopeful mode, hoping to get a move on with my blogging, which I was far behind with anyway. Got another photograph taken as the sky out there turned to a beautiful blue hue. I thought things were going so well with the CorelDrawing. Humph! I went to make another brew and took a shot. I’d sooner not go into detail here, as I was a bit angry with myself, putting it mildly. But after a while grafting away, I found my cock-up with the graphic headers! Grrr! Carer Kim did me today. A refreshing change to have someone who listens and laughs with me. Bless her! I spent so flipping long concentrating on trying to salvage the artwork (I couldn’t) and started all over again: It was not until the pains from the bladder told me, that I realised I’d let the day pouch overfill, and it had backed up.
I am off to the wet room this time to empty it, as I needed the Yet again! Another messy, time-consuming cleaning-up job! The sky and clouds were darkening already. But still looked beautiful to me.
I have to say, if I have to leave this flat to go into the care home, I’m so going to miss the views.I did my best to concentrate on the blog, but for some reason, I struggled. I spent far too long making corrections… well, making errors too, of course! Then a bit of excitement. I spotted what looked like a fire in the distance in Sherwood or Basford. I could see the blue lights, presumably from the fire engines. So fetched my to take some pictures of the smoke. It looked to be clean smoke coming from somewhere. Then suddenly, some brown smoke appeared. Got a decent photo of the brown stuff here. Nothing on the local news about any fire later on?. Closing the window after taking the photos, I knocked over the kitchen’s knife block of off the window ledge. Only a smidgeon of bleeding, which was soon stopped when I splashed on some Brut aftershave on both fingers. Made a start on the blogging yet again, but was feeling a little depressed suddenly. So, on seeing the sun setting, I took two more pictures of it. As bad as I felt emotionally, I still got pleasure from standing at the kitchenette window, looking at Nature’s display of power and beauty! A couple of hours later, I’d got the CorelDraw graphic redone. Carer Kimberley arrived, and that cheered me up. As she left, I took some more shots of the evening sky. The clouds had broken up. Letting the dying sun through. Bootiful! Though not particularly good photographs. The colour itself was unique to me. This last one on the right shows how quickly the cloud reappeared and the sun sank behind the horizon. Now prepare some food if the potatoes haven’t fallen to pieces with their marathon cooking session. Hehe! I hope to be back in the morning to catch up. TTFN.
Monday: I’m back. I got the fodder sorted out. I’d better put the puzzle result in here now. So I do not forget to put it on. It best me completely… Arithmaphobia, you see.
I got the spuds from the crock pot, dried them off, burnt them and cut a finger, then got the unskinned spuds bashed up in a mixing bowl. Add liquid sea salt, a sprinkle of basil, and a drop of blood from the finger, and put it into the oven for an hour or so to hopefully brown off. As the potato was nearly burnt enough for my tastes, I put some Walls sausages into the new red microwave cook pot for two minutes. Then put the disposable foil dish with the burnt nicely spuds & cheese onto the tray, and I added the sausages, two ready-sliced cobs, a pot of sauce dip, and a tub of lemon mousse.
did the last call. Ointmentated the leg wounds for me. Little chat while she issued the medications, thanked her, and off she went. Bless her!
As tired as I was, and believe me, I felt drained, and sure that Sweet Morpheus would be no bother tonight. Huh! Was I wrong! (Yes, I was!) I must have been in the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, for well over 7 hours. I fell asleep dozens of times, but the waking-ups seemed much more frequent. Come my usual stirring back into imitation-life time, was spent dozing and waking up again. I resisted the temptation to get up for about an hour or so, still feeling physically drained. I felt . With a decent flow this time, so was forced to get up, clean things up, and get fresh PPs on again. Worra Night! Why was the night so broken, sleep-wise, with no dreams, nightmares or even any hassle?

Great healthy colouring!
A blurry first photo.
Later and lighter. With the moon lingering?
Brew and computering.
For the next three hours, yet bits I recall very well. Carer Marie arrived and helped me search the flat for the missing laundry bag that I felt had not yet been returned. No luck. And Marie and Joanne returned, on their tea breaks, to give the flat a good rummage looking for the bag. Bless them! No signs.
Fatigued and confused, I stopped blogging and made a meal. Recall taking a photo of it, but it didn’t make it to the SD card. Another of the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind?
Washed the pots. And took three snaps of the stainless, yes, I said rainless view on offer from the kitchen window. Hehehe! To the left. The suspected cannabis growers dwellings. Straight ahead. Showing the house that had been having improvements done now for about eight months on their roof extensions. A rare sight to see any workers working, but one saw one today.
To the right, behind the beautiful tree copse.
Carer Victor did the last two calls. I took his Health Checks on the next to last call.
A confusing day. Mind Blanks, drifting off into sleep, even when on the computer. I’d had the longest unbroken sleep for ages, yet this did nothing to curb the drooping eyes, lack of concentration and endless run of depression bouts, varying between a few minutes, and hours. I have been nibbling all day long, never eaten so much in a day for many a month. Generally feeling fatigued without cause or reason.
0400hrs; Woke up, and just laid there, almost unthinkingly, in the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop. Four what must have been an hour or so. Joined by , which I don’t think bothered me too much at the time. It felt like having a video playing repetitively in my head, over several mistakes and bad options I’d taken many years ago. I surrendered any resistance, considering myself worthy of the self-lambasting verbal flow.
A good shade this morning.
Three early morning views. The high moon in the amazingly light sky.
When I got back to the kitchen, the sky seemed to have gotten a lot, very grown much darker? Or, did I set wrongly? Closer up. Even closer.
Not sure why I took this one.
I mosied along to the computer and got myself in a pickle, as I made so many errors, unfelt key depressions, and ended up having to close each open programme, and restart, in the hopes of getting the keyboard that I’d some-buggered up. Miraculously, when I rebooted it was working again.
This temporarily cheered me up.
I went out on the balcony to try and take a shot of the end car park, now seemingly permanent mudslide.
A pad patch here. Two hours at least. I’d just become aware of things, and a new Carer Called. I hope she does again, too. , a lovely gal. She introduced herself, and got the leg strappings on, and sorted the medications for me.
Well, blanks, really. Several over about an hour
I can recall taking this shot. I was in a depression at the time; the keyboard was playing up again… or maybe was, or both of us?
A Carer called, who and when I’m not certain. But after she or he had been, I deflated spiritually and physically. The computer turned off, and I got an early meal made. I swear I thought I’d taken two photos of that meal, recalling that the first one was so bad, that I took another one. But much, much later, hours later, after my failed attempts at sleeping or watching TV, when I got around to putting the photographs on the blog, it was on the card. Yet, the photo of the ice cream I had for desserts, was there on the SD card? !
The attempt to get to sleep failed. So, I tried watching TV. That failed and became so annoying, I got all agitated with myself. I get have few nodding-offs of a minute or so. No phone calls came in all day. Which is not unusual, but this brought on another depression and bouts of self-pity. I am having a bad day. Cheered when I had an Email from HRH Lisa. ♥
I literally sat there afterwards, with the TV pointlessly on, not being controllable, as, indeed, my mind was in a similar position, hazy.
I decided to get back on the computer again and I might as well stay up to get some New Year fireworks shots taken. But my confidence in getting any is minimal, to say the least. But I’ll try, but will I cope with falling asleep and missing them… or the shots coming out badly? Which is likely, as I type this, my old friend is kicking off, and not showing any signs of stopping yet.
Pressed on with this blog, to get as much done as I can before the planned fireworks photographicalisationing begins. If I don’t fall asleep! I didn’t. I think I was doing graphics for the blogs for a couple of hours, but it was going excruciatingly slow. The late Carer removed the ankle and leg strappings and ointmentated the lower legs. They were not painful at all during the day but started itching away on removal. Resisting scratching was a hard job. Hehe! However, they were a lot better than they had been lately, so a positive at last. The only pain was from the ingrowing toenail toe, that I proceeded to make worse by stubbing it on the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, grotty, cringingly-beige-coloured, much-dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner leg. It seems to be going a darker colour and bent more now?
Around 23:00hrs, I tried to take a decent shot of the end car park mudslide; you can just make it out.
The time (midnight) came for me to attempt to take the New Year fireworks photos from the kitchen window. Unbelievably bad shots they were too!
For a New Year, suitably so, Artistic, but not a Gainsborough, Showing a hint of fe-fi-fo?

I realised I needed a good shave and wash when I sniffed my torso as I got up to release the nocturnal catheter pouch. Hehe!. The urine was a little dark again. I was hobbling a smidge dodgily. I went into the kitchen, with the usual fear coming on that I’d find the hot tap or stove had been left on, but all was clear. As I took a photo of the high-in-the-sky moon. I made a right mess of that one. Tried again… This one was not a lot better.
Getting the diabetic socks off was not easy, and twice, I nearly took a tumble trying to get back upright after each sock was clawed off the legs. It had to happen, of course, as I tripped on the leg quilt that I had taken off. Somewhat painfully, although I didn’t hit the deck, managing to lean toward the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop, which broke my fall.
. This displays my stupidity, as I was about to go to the wet room to have a stand-up wash and shave, thus washing off the Germolene in the process. Humph!
Off to the wet room. First things first… Yellowy, runny, stinky! Above all, it was messy!
I’d got the larger Morrisons PPs on and set about removing them along with the dried blood from , after he’d been tugged at by the . The crusted haemoglobin broke, and red flowed down my leg onto the floor. I had to clean it up before starting shaving, in case I slipped on it. That’s two close calls this morning. At the back of my mind, I knew a third was due. A good job. I rose early again. But had to rush things a little in case the Carer called early.
Got the floor cleaned and started to get the shaving done. Things went well today. Just one teeny-weeny nick on the ear hole. But not for long... Putting the razors away and dropping them both it was a deja vu again! I hit my forehead on the edge of the sink, and noticed, somehow, I’d missed it earlier when shaving, but the red-eye was back again. Well, that was the third out of the way.
Dressing gown back on; it was a little cold without the strappings and socks on. But not for long… Ten minutes later, arrived. She Germolened the right leg for me first off. Then got the diabetic sock on for me, and we got the leg straps on between us. She did a good job of them. Then she issued the medications for me. She’s spent a little longer with me than usual due to the extra fittings needed, and she had to rush off. Bless her. Did a good job all around.
I was on the blogging, and doing well, I thought. Suddenly it was three hours later, and called on me. I was in a bit of a state of losing the memory of what I’d been doing for so long, and I mentioned the FND symptoms, of which memory loss is included, and she listened to me, which was nice. She took the laundry down with her for me.
After she’d departed, I made a brew of Glengettie.
Then returned to the computer to see what I’d been doing for hours. I came across a cloud photo that I must have taken earlier too. This inspired me to take a look at the end car park mudslide, and I took this. The pool had shrunken a little.
The leggings had not slipped. Mariam had done a good job on them this morning.
I made another mug of tea, and to my surprise, turned up. Where had the time gone? I was not concentrating at all.
No rush, I related the FND findings, but each time I looked at him he was on his mobile phone. Hehe! Nothing unusual with that. I was getting things off my chest to anyone who’d listen today. Even those who didn’t listen. Hahaha!
It is not advisable to think that because things like & have occurred three times in a day, and you have prevailed, it does not mean the fourth will not be the start of the next three. If you get my grift? I decided to get the oven heating up for the sausage and roast potatoes to be cooked for the daily meal later on. I dropped the tray of potatoes, oh Woe… The dish landed on my ingrowing toenail toe, Slipped, retrieving each potato… On the oven, I banged my elbow, Got them in the oven, on the wrong regulo, And I’ve lost my remaining libido! Hehehe!
Do not be idle like wot I was, and buy any Asda prepared frozen roasting potatoes for any meal. You will not like them unless you like the flavour of mushy-crushed cardboard. I imagine if anyone ate them, they would end up with tummy aches, as wot I did. And I only ate four of them before dishing the others in the waste bin, post haste. Although Not Glorious This Time!
Washing the pots, and the view on offer from the kitchenette widow, although a little dull with the clouds, was still Bootiful! Then a closer Kodak Tim shot was taken. A charm in this one?
I had to take off my nocturnal pouch in the night. I’d forgotten to ask the Carer to empty the day bag before attaching the might pouch, and the bag was getting too full and rather painful in the bladder area. Ruined my sleep as well with having to get it taken off. 05:00hrs: Hence, the colour of the urine when I got up in the day bag, was far too deep. Humph!
Meandered into the kitchenette, got the kettle on, and tried for a change, to take a decent morning photograph. They were of my usual standard – rubbish!
Made up a waste bag from the others, and as I placed it near the front door, I had to hasten… well, hobble swiftly to the wet room for the morning session. Gorblimey, that was messy again!
I attempted to take a Kodak Tim shot worthy of presenting in this marvellous, entertaining, fascinating Daily Inchy Today blog. (Ahem!) The first one wasn’t… The second is even worse. But the sky came out alright.
Carer Christopher arrived. I mentioned my forgetting to ask him to empty the day bag last night before attaching the night pouch. He did a good job in getting the leg strappings on for me. Medicated too.
Got on the computer and confused myself as I lost concentration and somehow started doing different tasks at the same time – and lost track of what I was doing. I’m doing this more often lately.
Hence my disappointment at not speaking with the Doctor, the Cognitive Impairment Psychotherapist, on Thursday. I wanted to speak with someone who understood and may have been able to give some advice or guidance to me… But, No!
The needed emptying. Still looking too dark to me. I drank more
Carer Dochal (I think) arrived. Medications, check on the lifeline check was done.
Back on the computer trying to sort out where I was before. Sister Jane rang me. Said she’d given me her new address in with her Christmas Card. She’ll email it to me as well. I emailed it to Obergruppenfurheress Warden Deana later on, for the record.
Back on the Computer… and the door chime rang out. It was a delivery of the table I’d ordered. I’m hoping that it will fit under the chair so I can eat with less chance of spilling, knocking anything or dropping stuff on the floor; curtsey of Shaking Shoulder Shirley, Dizzy Dennis, an involuntary Peripheral Pete Leg Dance, Reflux Roger, Loss of Balance Belinda, or Colin Cramps. But I fear things are not going to work out. Why? I’ll tell yers! The well-sellotaped box it arrived in, was awfully light. I can imagine myself getting the shakes and knocking the table about with ease and spilling, dropping and swearing a little, maybe, when I use it?
An hour or so later, the pouch was near;y full again! But it did look a ‘lighter shade of pale!’ (Wasn’t that the title of a song back in the day?).
At last, it’s getting lighter outside, too. Well into the afternoon now as well.
Back on the computer. Creating the ode of the day now… But inspiration & concentration is still scarce. Getting dark earlier than ever.
did the next check. I took his Health Checks before he left. Another good one from the lad, a healthy specimen of a Carer. Hehe!
Caught some contrails in the oddly coloured evening sky, with the sunset… It was Bootiful!
Then I set about getting the roast potatoes out of the oven, and into a pan of Chilli Soup with added soy, liquid smoke flavour and Worcester sauce. Flavour Rating: 9.2/10. Gorgeous!
Went to wash the fodder things. How the view had changed from 30mins ago!
I bet you all got this one!
Closed the computer down and went to check that I’d not left the hot water tap (faucet) running. Another change of view.

It is not a record, but it is still a pathetic oligarchical failing: As per writing this.
03:00hrs: Worryingly deep-coloured urine today?.
The need for a good ablutionalisationing session was smelt as I passed wind, removed the nocturnal crumbs from the dressing gown, and tackled the escape. That being from the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, itch-encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, catheter tube yanking, recliner. My chicken legs were not looking any worse! Deciding on taking an early morning Sh_ _, shower and shave, I removed diabetic socks from my legs… This was … but naturally, a man of my bravery, healthiness and pain tolerance didn’t flinch and had to keep stopping to catch my breath and cursing at any time. The thought of me taking a couple of minutes sitting there to recover from my efforts is ridiculous. My chicken legs were not looking any worse!. Hobbling into the wet room. I realised I was leaving dirt marks on the floor from the bottom of my slippers… So, I had to get the slippers washed and left to dry. It was hard work doing everyday stuff lately, but it gets more complex each day. (Hidden plea for help here… Hehe!) Cleaning the teeth, unfortunately, left me with , and, not a little pain from the bleeding gums too. The shaving left me with several tiny cuts all around the cheekily growing stubble at the top of the back of the neck. Showering: A Challenge I did not respond to very well this morning. The first snag was working out the best way to get the feet washed with the minimum danger of falls. I got a bowl next to the shower chair and put some Dettol disinfectant and shower gel in it. Filled it from the shower, and of course, the drain pump started chuntering away because no water was going down the drain at the time… So cleaning the feet was a rush job. Then, I had to empty the bowl slowly to not overfill the drain flue. Then, I got out of the shower without any slipping and put the bowl away in the corner; I dare not leave it in the shower for fear of forgetting all about it and having a tumble, trip, fall, or another While doing this, I had to divert to the As much as I was getting chilly sitting there covered in cold water, I had to wait a few seconds to recover from the efforts of encouraging the evacuation. Getting back into and under the shower as hastily as I could once I moved… I against the shower chair leg, and as I did this, (I know, you don’t believe me… I’m even doubtful, but the pain memories help) but, with dear giving way at just the wrong moment, she crashed into the chair arm. I got in the chair and spent considerable time recovering, just letting the water ooze over me. That was nice!I had to stand up to deal with the more intimate departments that needed attention, but this was no bother… needed no medical attention, but this was no bother… I also like this statement. I’ll repeat it; intimate departments that needed no attention! I even managed to get dried off with only one mishap: when I got the towel from the airer, I knocked it over. Got dried thoroughly and commenced the medicalisationings.. . Then, I splashed the Brut aftershave on the neck nicks that were still bleeding. Tried the new medications for this. Then, Phorpain gel was used on several areas in need of it. , with an extra bit on , as she was being a bit of a nuisance to me this, as she does most mornings. them both next. Did the nasal cleaning. And because of the irritation in the and the infested left eye. Then the challenge of an everyday fear that is done with a certain degree of apprehensiveness, almost dread! Getting my nappy… diaper… Well, Protection Pants on. Which would be difficult enough without having to cope with getting them up beyond the hanging below the knee, tubed! It’s a work of art, I can tell yers! A formidable one! However, I can report for once that there were no or of any worth mentioning. I still don’t know how I managed it without the usual pain and mishaps?
I left the bandages and straps to soak in the wet room sink. I can dry them later on. Can I use the microwave safely to do this little task? If anyone has advice for me on this, please?
I emptied the wet room waste bin and took it to the kitchenette. Got the kettle on to make a brew but never got around to it and went brewless all day. I didn’t even bother to try to take any early morning shots today, not with my recent abysmal record. It’s a wonder that I’ve still got any skin left on!
I dabbed some Sudcrem on the forehead, chest and cheeks.
I’ll leave it on for a while to allow it to soak in before rubbing it in. It didn’t work well the last time I tried using it.
Should I suddenly sneeze, the dressing gown, computer keyboard and carpet are covered in lost bits of skin. Devil-of-a-job for me to get cleaned up! Tsk!
I got on with my blogging catch-up, then arrived and got a bit of a shock. HaHaHa!So did I when I noticed what she had seen; I’d forgotten to rub the Sudocrem in the face. Poor gal, what a shock for her. It’s a bad enough face to look at without the cream on the mush, making it more scary for the gal!
Grangnagles!
During one of the multitudinous failures of Oligarchal, conspiratorial, hermetical, and surreptitious, owned , I sorted the waste bins and put them near the front door.
There were still no signs of the owned internet shower’s signal returning, so I ventured into the balcony to take a shot of the end car park. The mud-slide was active this morning. Took a view of the sky to the North.
The rain was persistent looking today. Then, a shot of the viewhead, which is to the West. Followed by a picture to the left, in an Easterly direction.
visited. Had a little laugh and joke before she departed. I was getting more & more annoyed with the interruptions from Mike Fries, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Liberty Global, who took home a $64m salary in FY2, . I was close to giving up. Hence, I am now even further behind with this blog. 9 hours after waking, and I’m only up to here with it. I keep saying to myself that I will have to reduce the content of this blog, but I do love it when someone says they like it or get a laugh from it. I’m addicted, I suppose? There are other more suitable words than addicted, like besotted, smitten, habituated, or mayhap dependent on it, to help keep my sanity, as much as possible, escape the ever-grasping, clutching more of my brain from Cognitive Impairment Iris.
failed yet again, I went to the kitchen to photograph the view. The first one on the right didn’t seem too bad at all to me. So, I tried to get a closer shot of the houses and bottom field greenery. Well, that didn’t work, did it? I failed again! Undaunted, I tried once more in a different shooting mode selected, with . Humph! Another failure! Time to give up, methinks. I might try again later.
I realised that I hadn’t had a meal today. Mind you, I wasn’t hungry at all! That’s not me?
The two last calls of the day from the carers were made by… Well, erm…Either, or, not in any particular chronological order, and or . I think. I was so worn out, tired and in need of sleep again. I think it was Christopher first, then Benjamin who got the diabetic sock off for me, I was half asleep each call.

At least Mike Fries, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairperson of Liberty Global, still gets his guaranteed take-home salary of $62m, FY2, with bonuses and an open-ended expense account. So, it’s nice that I can get the satisfaction of knowing that my being so gullible, near to bankruptcy, stupid, incapable and mentally disturbed, gives me contentment. I get a warm glow from within, knowing that my failings and incompetencies are contributing to the money-monger, blithely unconcerned about customers, with their sham, bogus false interest in offering a workable internet, financial welfare. .
03:50hrs: The catheter nocturnal pouch was removed.
.
Much later, went to make a brew of Glengettie. The house that’s been being done up for about three months, didn’t show signs of activity.
The tea was placed near the out-of-action landline telephone, and I let it go cold.
arrived, and did a grand job of fitting the new . Medications were handed out and then the lad set about replacing the Kevla-ended for me. Shaquille did a very good job of them as well! Thanks, Shaq!
Doctor Vindla phoned on the mobile. But it was hard to hear what she was saying… and made things worse with having just gone down for about the third time, and me losing some work I’d done, and I was getting all uptight at the time she rang me. , with me not hearing her, she could now not understand me. In the end, she did say,: “Ask Carer Kara to ring me, so she can explain. I can’t understand what you are saying!” Embarrassed, I rang off. I’ll ask Kara if she calls later. I tried to find the list of things to mention… if I actually made one, I was possibly waiting for to come again, so she could go through it with me to check I’d not missed anything? Anyway, if I had, I’d lost it. Ah, life can be a bummer!
I was busy farting around for an hour or so, trying to get the back online. And chimed out from the front door. I was delighted to see that it was no other arriving than the pretty, kind Obersturmbannfuhreress, Ice skating champion, florist, ILC (Independent Living coordinator), and, not to be messed with, saviour and comforter, Warden Julie. On a rescue mission to save me yet again from my unreliable imposed picklement, danger, fretting and getting further confused, Bless Her ♥! She whipped a box out of the bag, to reveal a temporary box to use for the Alert Alarm replacement while I awaited the arrival of the connect device from to be delivered, to get the phone working again. Julie fitted it in no time for me. It had go on the floor, cause the lead was not long enough to reach any furniture. I immediately clocked that this was excellent! When I take the odd tumble, I have to go on my and , with knees, with the risk of bursting to get to the alert Box anyway, so it would be easier to use it now. Clever stuff, Julie! I fang you!
called. I explained about the Alarm situation, as told to by ILC (Independent Living Coordinator),
Oberstgrüppenfuhreress, Warden and Primo Ballerina, Deana yesterday, told the Carers that when the link comes from Oligarch-ridden arrives, the Carers must advise the Wardens of its arrival, so they can arrange to have it fitted so that the landline telephone will work again. Of course, this is subject to its actual arrival, and relies on not to make any more cock-ups that they already have made! What am I saying? The total brown-outs in the last four hours are standing at nine already. Last week they failed to get a connection to me or browned out at least 85 times. They sent the wrong date for the fibre change that lost me and so many others the use of their Alarm Alert boxes and landlines… so expecting the number-crunching, dodgy-dealing number-crunchers at , to get anything right, is something one doesn’t get too hopeful about. Pessimistic, morelike. Hello, another update on the quality and service of here.. From who pay their cliquey, elite, select CEO $62 million a year. Jealous? Me! Yes!
I treated myself to one of the Iceland vanilla ice cream tree suckers.I liked these; they were not sickly sweet. A nice flavour and, with my rotting teeth, is very easy to eat!
, who fitted the ankle and leg straps back this morning, did an excellent job on the. He’s got the knack, no doubt about that! Cheers, mate! As the darkness began to fall, I took this shot through the balcony doors and window from the computer chair. Well, I had plenty of time, what with more browning-outs from the figure-shuffling, illusion, deception, hocus-pocus, mumbo-jumbo, and number-crunching, .
It wasn’t letting me get the signal back, no matter what I tried this time. I cursed out loud, wishing the cacodemons would get my own back for me, and ease my hatred by painfully killing off as the Oligarchal financial entity that it has become, and the bosses at the same time. A man can dream!
I shan’t tell you about a little daydream I had whilst suffering with the painful, smelling, stinking, second evacuation session. But there’s a link in there about my thoughts, dedicated to….
FIND THE FAULT I bet all the English folks got this one right. As you see, the driver’s half cab on his 1959 double-decker bus, was on the wrong side in the top photo. Did you notice the metal discs on the back of the seats? I think they were ashtrays and cigarette stubber-outerers? I thought this might be another Fault. As cigarettes and smoking, were not allowed in the lower saloon, upstairs only. Or, I may be wrong. It has been known. Hehe!
The potatoes had boiled sufficiently for me to get on with making a feast for myself. It took me a long time to get the flesh from the skins of the halved potatoes. Then, it took me a good hour to chop & mix them with the Cheddar and Leicester cheese, then scoop the mixture, seasoned with sea salt, Worcester sauce and black pepper, back into the husks. Next, I put them into the preheated oven and Germolened my burnt fingers, where I’d cut where I caught some fingers on the oven racking and dropped the knife, and it fell on my ankle left bone and cut the same finger as I rescued it from the floor. Then clean up the fallen and trodden on bits of flesh from the kitchen floor. By the time I’m done all this, the potatoes were checked, and found to be ready for noshing! Good job I’d put the Germolene on, cause that’s where I might have burnt myself again, taking the tray out of the kiln.. 4: I nibbled a bit of the crispy potato top plating them, and it tasted so nice, that I hastened to get settled down and start eating them. I was just finishing the last one off, and the smell of burning that was coming from the kitchen
5: This told me I must have left the oven on! I grabbed the , and went to the kitchenette to investigate… As I was going in the doorway, not wearing my spectacles 6: I suffered a short . As I automatically reached to steady myself and help Metal Micky keep me upright, 7: as my hand connected with the surface and edge of the counter corner… 8: (The light was not on yet), I remembered I’d put the sausages I’d cooked on there, and forgot all about eating them, in my haste to consume the cheesy potatoes! I think it was then two of the bangers burst open and sprayed me, my dressing gown, running down the side of the cupboards and onto the floor with their contents, that I wanted to cry! The blasted was enough to break anyone’s spirits. But now, at my getting tired and weary status, I faced all the cleaning up to do!
NOTE: Writing this, tomorrow night; yes, the acted up even more tomorrow! Do you know, I nearly deleted it? No one is going to believe that anybody can have such persistent, on-stop, unending, Voodoo or hoodoo-plagued bad luck when they read this! I was a little puzzled myself!
I’m already 24 hours behind with the blogging. So, until… well, if ever there is a vague chance of Working properly again, as it did when it was owned by Richard Branson… I’ll never forgive him for selling his to the plutocratic, pathetic, figure amending and altering, analysations, deconstruction, dissection and manipulativeness of their evaluations, interpretations of the real facts that exist! Yet they continue to buy into so many more internet suppliers companies or buy them out, so as to get their Oligarchal advantage; thus, they can get away with being such crap providers, cause as I see it, anyone leaving Virgin, can only move to another supplier that will own or part-own anyway!
Quote from Mike Fires, CO: Mike Fries Liberty Global delivers next-generation products through advanced fibre and 5G networks, providing over 86 million connections (That doesn’t work, but he fails to mention this in his comments!), across Europe and the UK. Quote from Wallmine: The estimated net worth of Michael T Fries is at least $175 Million dollars as of 1 May 2023. Mr Fries owns over 215,802 units of Liberty Global plc stock worth over $28,917,283 and over the last 10 years, he sold LBTYK stock worth over $22,634,655. In addition, he makes $123,254,000 as Vice Chairman of the Board, President, and CEO at Liberty Global plc. Oh, I am pleased for the Oligarch! Well, that’s a new record for him. Well done, Mike! (Spit) He’s left hundreds of people in care without any alarm lines and telephones, too. Tomorrow, today’s count of failures was dwarfed by shame; he more than doubled it!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – High & Lowlights… The Ablutioning sessions, of which there were many, were all unpleasant affairs, with being in full control throughout.
The telephone and Panic-Alarm were still not working. could not find my mobile phone anywhere. I did eventually find him, hidden within the depths of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand, bought for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner. Amazingly, I seemed to have wrapped it up in a blue plastic bag & tied it up in the way I would for the waste bin bags? Don’t ask; I cannot remember doing this at all, apparently, I did it in my nocturnal slumber?
ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Warden Deana, had finally been told that the phone and alarm were not working, and she responded by coming to see me, to explain. She had not been informed until told her this morning. Bless him, of my problem. It turns out, that many other tenants have the same problem and are telephone and Panic-Alarmless, just like what I am. She had rung Virgin about the situation, and got a reply, from .
Apparently, the letters sent out, told us that we had until December whatever to sort out the fibre change; in fact, it was November, not December, in error. Not bad for , those who pay their CO, $62m million-plus salary with guaranteed bonus in shares, and an open-ended expense account. Worryingly, they own or have money invested in every single internet supplier in the UK. Virgin, BT, Vodaphone, EE, Three, Talk-Talk, and dozens of others in Europe! They are all going ‘fibre’. I wonder if they all left people at risk without the safety of their landlines and emergency alarms?
I’ve written before about the failing of . Mainly due to my jealousy of how much Mr Fries gets for letting such things happen, and still gets his million in slaty and bonuses. I did read that during the Covid period, he got a $1m monthly bonus! $62m a year! Jealous? Me? Spit! Especially as he left me in the shit! Truly Oligarchal!
Anyway, thanks to Deana’s intervention and help, each abandoned and let down by , will receive an adaptor, which will be posted to us. I have got to ask the carer on the day to inform Deana, and she will arrange for it to be fitted for each client. Well, that’s saved s from sending people out to fit them, hasn’t it? Further proof of my suspicion of the smoke and mirrors, thaumaturgy, number-crunching, figure-shuffling, illusion, deception, and hocus-pocusing, that is a daily part of their activities. I’m glad I got that off of my chest… just waiting for the incoming Lawyers (Bet that they have shares in them, too) letter, summons for slander, or whatever it is called – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Onward…
Got up at 04:00hrs. I took a photo of the nocturnal catheter pouch and busied away cleaning and sorting
Great balls of fire! I nearly took a decent shot of the early morning view from the kitchen window… Wow!
During the ‘Couldn’t get a connection with for two hours”, my spirits sank to a new depth. Surely they had not cut off the internet as well! Argh! Turned off the computer, and I tried again, but no luck. Reset the router. But no luck! Took the router plug out of the socket. Waited half a minute, and back in and turned on the power. Surely this time, I thought. But no luck! While I was pondering on what else I could try… Norton came on, telling me I was connected to an unsafe connection? I did a Norton Virus Check. Then goon with the blogging at long last… Within a minute, the connection was lost again! I tried resetting the router again. Minutes later, it was back on. Had to go through another Norton Check. But this time, the stayed on. Well, for an hour or so. It went down several times again later, but I didn’t have to resort to all that bother these times. But of course, I am developing a hatred of Norton now; it comes up each time I reconnect… Ah, I wonder if they have investments in Norton too? Scumballs!.
A couple of photographs here that confused me. Why did I take this one? And what was this one of?
Got the waste bags sorted.
Then the Asda order arrived. The man put them in the provided Iceland bags. Bad news on the tomatoes. They were Spanish and bitter foul tasting. I wish they’d say where they were from on the internet listings! Wonder how many will have black spots on the this time? Bottom freezer draw. Middle freezer draw. I didn’t photo the top draw, cause I couldn’t open it. Too full! Hehe! Top food cupboard. Bottom food cupboard. I’ll not starve then! Mind you, I might bleed to death, die from another stroke to heart attack; thanks very much to cocking things up again and leaving me without a lifeline. Humph!
Teatime views. An odd bit of blue on the clouds? Pretty though!
Curried beans, tomato passata, with I got a mite carried away with the seasoning? However, Taste-Rating: 8.6/10.
