Good Morning, Mon Amis. I’ve only just gotten around to doing the actual blog now. And it’s 15:30hrs already. Nowadays, everything is just taking too long to get done. The Mystery Lurgy chest and rib pains, Cataract Katey, Dementia Doreen, the lack of mobility with the Catheter needing emptying so often, changing from night to day bags… Concentration Conrad has gone to pot.
Ablutions take me two hours on average. Honestly!
Just getting dressed is a work of art and a strain and pain.
Will I ever see properly again? So I can do the Diary blog properly?
Will the Catheters be a permanent time-consuming feature on my manly, lean, mean, tough, muscular, hard masculine body?
So, I’ll put the photos on and anything of an exciting nature that may have occurred during the day. Not too much chance of that, though. Hehe!
I stirred into a pretend life, and as I moved the right leg, I forgot about the night catheter being attached and trod on the extended tubing while I supposedly caught my balance. Realising my cock-up, I lifted the left foot from the tube… before I’d mastered the balance.
❶ I tumbled back onto the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner. Landing on the arm and causing the delicate rear end to suffer a considerable clout!
❷ At that exact moment, I must have caught the piping on my way down; the night bag began to leak! (These tumbles seem to be almost quotidian this week)
❸ As I was picking up the bowl and night bag, the need for the was sudden and urgent! ❹ I hastened ASAP to the wet room. But: unfortunately, ❺ and horrifically, I did not get there in time!
❻ Messy job again, I got myself and the wet room furniture cleaned up…
❼ And trod on the darned night bag; It burst open! More cleaning up. ❽ The bending down so often to clean things up yet again; started the Mystery Rib Cage Pains off! I detached the night bag and made sure I’d got the day bag valve closed.
I decided as I was in there, to get the done. Stripped off, which sounds and indeed used t lobe a simple job… until the Mystery Pains, Catheter and taking tumbles started this morning. Which went pleasantly well, actually. Considering the half-hour or so of constant cock-ups I’d just suffered. Not a single cut shaving! The teeth bled a bit, although I tried to clean them gently. The eye-drop application went, as usual, more in the moustache than in the eye.
Getting clothes off to use the Throne was naturally done in haste, given the urgency of the need. But getting the day clothes on was laboriously slow and hard work. The straps on the different type of catheter bag had twisted and given me some new welts on my leg. Germolene applied. The new weekly day bag was already twisted, and it took me a while to get that sort of straightened top and bottom… ♫ Come on, let’s Twist again… ♫ Hahaha! had been bleeding again.
After what seemed like hours… Oh, it was! Getting the bag, Porcelain Throning, ablutioning and getting dressed, I returned to the front room. Had left it a mess last night. Hadn’t taken the waste bags with him or cleaned the medicine pot.
Also, he’s emptied the wee-wee bucket and not flushed the toilet. Amidst all the panic stations earlier, the stink was awful!
I got the Health Checks done. I was pleased to see I was in the High-Norm area again. Hoping for a hat trick in there tomorrow.
.
Enjoyed taking these shots of the late, partially clouded-over moon.
Shame they were not so good, but still.
I took these a few hours later on. The seagulls were food hunting again.
If they stay much longer (the gulls), there will be no wildlife left!
The rib pains kicked off again, and my concentration crumbled.
Nothing was sticking in the brain. Memories were escaping.
And I was in the right state. Apart from Carer Ty coming, who the others were is unknown. I do recall asking Ty to make sure he flushed the WC after emptying the pouch or bucket and not to put anything else down the WC.
I kept finding things on this blog that I could not remember putting on it. I was particularly proud of ablutioning paragraphs. Did I do them? These Mind-Blanks do worry me sometimes. But not today. They were accepted as part & parcel of living with Dementia Doreen! That I find weird, too.
I’m sure I took a lot more photographs today.
But these below are the last three on the card at this time?
Apparently, taken as the night wore on?
Better get something to eat. Very nice too!
Arrived to get cataracts… no, not them; the night catheter attached to the day one. Nice to see him again, but he was a smidgen annoyed at the doctor amid hospital crossed lines and different instructions on my taking the antibiotics. Like me, Richard is not getting updated on medical things. He said someone was going to come in a few days to take the catheter out. I’ve heard nothing about this from anyone, either. No one called me to advise me at all?
Getting to sleep was difficult yet again, and staying asleep, was impossible to do. The springing awake with a jerk went on all night. Humph!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Sorry, but I ran out of time today. Photos mainly. Lots of hospital letters and appointments arrived; Carer came to do the medications and catheter but didn’t know how to do it. Still not done yet. I’ve emptied the day bag twice, but essential I have the night fitted, or else I’ll have to stay up all night again!
Not many comments, just what I could recall, but rushed it, not having had a meal yet with all the trying to sort out the needs and what, what with the Cystoscopy. Got to talk to the Doctor cause they said so, about stopping the warfarin?. in one of the many leaflets, maps and letters of advice they sent – that I can’t read them cause of cataracts. Pretty fed up as well; I know the pain of having a tube down Little Inchie into the bladder – Monday and Tuesday, I must have had the tube in and out five or six times. Anaesthetic is not to be used, and what going to go in this time seems about six times thicker. Plus, they may have to go back in and take samples from within the bladder. How much bigger will that tool be? I was at the limit of my pain acceptance Mon & Tue…
Sorry. From yesterday.
0500 this morning.
Below after Carer emptied and removed the night bag, about three hours later it looked like this! No idea what happened!
Morning kitchen window shots
HEALTH CHECKS
Emptied the Cataracts and…
To self: No, you didn’t, you idiot!
“I meant to write Catheter!” – Pratt!
Found that Little Inchie had been bleeding
Confused now, after reading what I could of the instructions, advice, and procedure I’ve to go through without painkillers. Not that it bothered me, a naturally brave, hardy man like me!
HIS THIRD CALL OF THE DAY.
He’s checked up on the web on how to change(fit)
a Night Catheter bag. And with a smidgeon of luck,
got it on and working. Gave me the Peptac medicine
and two Paracetamol. We had a short natter,
and he took the waste with him to the chute.
04:20hrs: Trouble ‘t Mill again, straight away. was bleeding during the night. The inserted tube pulls whenever I move, stretch or bend, I imagine. The new ailments just keep coming! Didn’t bother me, of course.
Off to empty the catheter bag. The last day of the week is today for to call. He took the night bag off and routed the wee-wee to the day bag for me when he came. The man’s been a comfort, laugh and God-Send during the recent medical problems. When he arrived, Richard soon got the bags swapped and adjusted the strapping. We had a natter and laugh after he gave me the medications and pulled my leg a bit. Not literally, Hehe!
I got a phone call from the Nottingham City Hospital Urology Department. By good fortune, the lady spoke slowly after I said I was hard of hearing, and I just asked her to repeat the time and date of the appointment they’d made for me.
It’s for Friday, 6th January 2023. At 11:20hrs, and was very patient while I checked the calendar to check what time my Doctors appointment on the same day was. It was okay; the doctor was at 08:30hrs. Thanked her doer being patient with me. Of course, I went into panic-mode-Grade-three. Now I have to try to sort a lift out for both appointments… not too bad a situation with the timing, mind you. If I can get and lift, I can get the Doctor and book a pickup for an hour later, I don’t mind waiting if I get seen too early… Hahaha! the things I come out with!
Then go straight to the hospital; in time. I hope!
Then the trying to book with Easy-Link problems came to the fore.
Over the next three hours, I tried to get through to Meridian six times and Easy-Link five times. No luck!
Blogging
Arrived. Another Saviour! ♥
Emptying the Day Catheter bag. Getting through to and booking lifts not only for the 6th January, doctor’s and but the 9th February at the .
Checking & emptying the day bag. During which, if had not been there, I’d have taken a tumble backward onto the deck! She caught me in time. Thank You, Lisa!
Just spotted these two evening shots from yesterday’s evening view.
After 5 days of going Porcelain Throne usage-free – things started moving. Not-half!
❶ 13:50hrs: First visit. Messy, but not a lot of it.
❷ 16:00hrs: Gooey, sticky, light khaki. Stinking more.
❸ 17:05hrs: Four dollops of giant meatball shaped evacuated. Darker khaki.
❹ 1840hrs: A large selection of dark brown giant worms. ❺ 20:44hrs: Sloppy mess, very light-coloured, little smell, though.
Well, a right mixture there. I’m hoping that when the late call comes and the night catheter is fitted, I don’t get any more summoning to the .
Arrived. Got the medicines sorted. Little chin-wag shared.
At long last, a good stand-up wash and shave with my feet soaking in the bowl with Dettol.
Three cuts shaving, dropped razors, shaving cream, flannel, toothbrush, carbolic soap, nailbrush… and possibly a few other things. Knocked stuff off of the floor cabinet – twice! Nearly took a tumble again. And gave the wet room door a shoulder charge on leaving.
Found this morning’s car park photo; making a mess chronologically, aren’t I?
Arrived and made me a mug of tea; bless her ♥. Gave me the Peptac and washed the plastic pot for me. And she saved me from another tumble: I think I mentioned that earlier.
Got on with blogging. Then answered some WordPress comments.
Got a meal cooking, Cottage Pie and seasoned sliced mushroom.
Took this photo as I put the food into the oven.
Making a bas job timewise.
More photographs from this mid-morning.
Must go now and get the nosh served up.
Back in a bit.
I hope this is going to be fun...
Walking stick, evening wee-p[ouch to carry, a meal to make…
And then getting it back into the front room to eat…
Wish me luck.
I’m not too confident about this, not being an Accifauxpa-free exercise.
05:05hrs: I had woken up a good few times overnight, hate precious time was about 03:30hrs. But miraculously nodded off again. Hurrah! Struggled free of the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. Caught my balance and off to the . A slightly strenuous passing, messy with it too. The worst bit was the stink from the painful wee-weeing. (Urine infection back? I decided to get the tended to, being as I was in there, and did! Just one tooth bleeding and one tiny nick shaving. Had a stand-up wash; it was too early to use the noisy shower. Then realised it was late enough and had a good session under the shower. Dried off without knocking owt off of the floor cabinets! Yes, it amazed me as well! Got dressed and went into the kitchenette.
I saw the state (mess) the kitchen was in and briefly toyed with the idea of cleaning and mopping it. But didn’t.
Got some small new potatoes into the crock-pot on a low setting.
Added some Henderson’s liquid sauce, sea salt and vinegar, giving the strange hue you can see in the photograph on the left here. I returned later to turn the power socket on. Ahem!I opened the kitchen window and took this depiction of the morning’s view.
A little misty, and the twinkling lights from business, along with the hue of the morning, gave an impression of a wonderful water paint job? I went back to the wet room to retrieve the wristwatch and was again surprised to find that I’d done the ablutions and bits in the kitchen, and it was still only 06:17hrs?
Made a brew of Glengettie tea, and took it through to the computer, and perused the scarce-looking memory notes on the pad.
Then, I got such a shock as the started to give the right leg some hammer. I all but fell out of the computer chair! An performed while I was sitting down! Never been known before! In fact, I think I said to last night that it never comes on when I sit down. Big-Mouth! Well, it’s started to do so now! I clouted my right knee and ankle several times against the 1963-built, falling to pieces, Hopewell’s E-Plan Sideboard, with the doors falling off .
I got the Health Checks done.
But I was a little tiny bit disappointed in finding that the NHS site had put me back into the Hypertension Two-Red Zone again. It seems to be jumping between a most and the highly satisfactory acceptable High-Norm and then Hyper-Two? Still, it could be worse? So, Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Arrived as I was making a brew of Thompson’s Punjana. In fact, she finished making the mug of tea for me. We got the medications sorted and had a mini-waffling session, which was nice. Brought a few laughs from both of us, which is good for us, too.
I got the updating of the Thursday blog done; not a lot to go on due to my bad memory and shortage of reminder notes on the notepad. Humph! Posted it to WordPress and Pinterested a few pictures.
Made her second call, a Safety Check on the taps, stove etc. She also gave me an extra Paracetamol cause Anne Gyna was giving me some stick at the time Jo-Anne called.
Went to make another brew, JS Red Label, this time, and I took these snaps.
The bog deems to be clearing now. (within an hour, it was belting down with rain).
The Chestnut Way car park looked well filled up this morning… Ha! Just noticed it is already 14:20 hours
Good job that not much is happening to go in this diary; I’m so far behind. Harrumph!
Aha, there he goes.
Clunk, tap-tapping with the odd whoring sound thrown in to keep me interested and awake.
Bless his cotton socks.
He’s such a nice, ignorantly superior noisemaker.
Hello, an arditamente of rapid tap-tapping there.
He is likely just letting me know he doesn’t give a toss, I suppose.
Still, it didn’t last too long, an hour at most.
Odd, how I’m deaf yet seem to hear laughter coming from above? All part of the paranoia?
I checked on the potatoes in the slow cooker. Nowhere near ready yet, so I turned the heat up to high. Must remember to recheck on them.
I opened the in of ‘Rehydrated Peas’ I bought from Lidl.
Rock hard, sour, terrible! But the last can that I have. So I attempted a rescue job on them. I put some demerara sugar in them and left them to soak in it. Tried a spoonful of them later – EURGH!
I left them on low and hope they turn out better later.
TWIT!
Returned to the computer and continued with my suitable graphic-finding mission. Got a couple copied and posted into CorelDraw. At this stage, I smelt the burning!
Panic, flab, I hobbled hastily to the kitchen… CALAMITY!
The new pan with the rehydrated peas had no water left in it at all.
I got out what peas I could, but the others have gelled together like Araldite!
I’d turned the heat onto full instead of the off position!
Soaked the pan, filled it with bleach and washing up the liquid.
The bottom of the pan was unreachable at this stage, so I left it to soak in the cleaners in hopes of rescuing the saucepan.
Cleaned the mess on the hob and stove.
Then got stuck into trying to get the peas out.
It was a slow frustrating job, but then, life is for me at the moment!.
Heck of a job keeping stuff from going down the drain, but used the plastic strainer throughout, and that did the trick. Took me an hour to get the peas at the bottom out.
The yellow plastic scrubber thingy was invaluable, got the job finished. But not until about the eighth time working on it. When I got to see a bit of the black bottom of the pan, a
At this point, 16:00hrs, chimed and came in. As I was telling him about my details, a lack of interest was shown, and he muttered, “I’ll get the medications done!” I think the lad was tired out, done in. Bless him! I looked at the Carers Report sheet later, no mention of the mess and danger I’d gotten myself into. I’d have thought this sort of thing needed reporting? I may be wrong, of course... Jozeph listened to me talking without any response. I asked him to take the waste bag for me, and he took the one hanging up with the ‘Pea-Disaster’ waste in it as well. Hehehe! Jozeph gave me two Paracetomal cause he saw that the Anne Gyna had started to play up; the anxiety, I suppose, also made sure I took the stick with me.
I nipped out onto the balcony, to take a snap of the rainy view on offer. Oddly there were few seagulls food hunting at this time
Had to utilise the now 24-hour WWB (Wee-Wee-Bucket) with some urgency. The trickling leak was painful still and stunk to high heaven again! Strenuous, and it took ten minutes to pass a few fluid ounces.
Back to the balcony. Opened the side window; the rain had stopped, and I took a photo of the mud-slide coming down into the car park from the unofficial but much-used Woodthorpe Park. The seagulls were back, squirrel, wood-pigeon, dove, cat, small dog, baby and rat seeking for supper.
Hobbled into the kitchenette to get the nosh sorted out. I saved some of the spuds from the slow cooker to have tomorrow and halved the ones being used tonight. Had to utilise the now 24-hour WWB (Wee-Wee-Bucket) again. Pain, eventual trickle and the long wait for the dripping of the MAD (Micturition-After-Dribbling) to stop!Which took that long; the flaming meal had gone partially cold before I got around to eating it. But it didn’t bother me. Flavour rating: 805/10! Washed the pots, and the checks were done.
I fell asleep watching ‘Heartbeat’ on the box, and I was well into another weird dream as arrived to sort me out. Hehehe! I think I ought at this time to mention that the names of carers mentioned on this blog are all liable; just might be, possibly, maybe, perhaps the wrong ones. I apologise if this is so.
Personally, I blame for muddling up my brain cells. , and ‘The Lurgy’ for giving me so much constant pain that I can’t concentrate. Of course, that pleasant scumball, pococurante, snobbish, superior-acting, definitely for his mechanical clumping, grinding, drilling and tap-tapping every single day of the week.
By constantly having to take a painful unwilling leak, . To a degree, of course, there are plenty of other self-named ailments to accuse; , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , … I’ve likely missed a few off of this list of the guilty… Oh, Yes… ME!
Arrived. Sorted the medications out. Little natter, checked taps, treat in thanks insisted upon by myself, and Kara took the waste bag as she left, thanked her and locked the door… After that, it’s all a mystery. Nothing on the memory notepad other than Kara’s name… and I’m not guaranteeing that I got that, right?
Woke up, knowing I was having dreams but no actual memories of them… other than a feeling they were not good, at 02:30hrs, convinced, for some unknown reason, that it was about 07:00hrs. And got up.
04:30hrs: I woke wanting a wee-wee, passed it, and had to go to the . A smidgen messy, but no pain and no hæmatorrhœa.
I cleaned up but had already made plans for the day while seated on the throne. I shall get the sorted out as soon as I’ve finished doing the Health Checks, and then I’ll get the medicationalisationings done. Owzat then? Me making plans, blimey!
Off to the computer. No tea, no biscuits, no depression, no, and I do believe I may have been humming the Shadows Stars fell on Stockton tune to myself!
Not the result I was hoping for; a rather high Hypertension – Two, close to the (Call 999) stage Three. I blame and all his extra long all day, and noisier-than-ever bursts of clangs, clanks, Tap-tapping, knocking and drilling yesterday for this! Thanks mate!
I did some Pinteresting when I’d done the Health Checks and updated the Thursday blog. I seemed to be doing well this morning the were not playing me up too much – but that was a silly thing for me to say; they can go offline in an instant, and the brain no longer understands the broken messages, and anything can happen then! Wish I’d keep me gob-shut!
The computer was put into sleep mode and off to get them done. I’d taken the camera in with me and took a snap of the legs after I’d stripped off; the one on the right is after the session was completed… And I’d heroically, bravely, boldly and stupidly used you-know-who to get the long diabetic socks on. Yes, I’d utilised the mocking, fearsome, finger bruising, cutting and ripping green goddess known as ! And came out of the battle with only a squashed ! And a rather large was gone into!
The shaving produced only two tiny nicks on the neck. Teggie cleaning did go badly, though. Another lump had detached itself from the left bicuspid and double molar; the blood flowed, and that took me some time to stop. Thus, started! This is because of the Warfarin INR level is high, at 4.4. (3.5 is the target) That’s why the DVT clinic has reduced the dosage again.
Germolened, Germoloided, and oiled the ear holes. And guess what? , That ignorant slobbovitch from the flat up above kicked off with his banging and knocking again!
I’d had enough to contend with yesterday, over 12 hours of it, and just had to bounce back some similar noises to inform him of the danger he was in.
They were tap-tappings, and I hit the top of the high bookcase with Metal Mickeys’ plastic handle on the hard wooden shelves. Trying to imitate the same amount of bangs (18), I counted.
This did no good, and a few minutes later, they kicked off again. Louder this time, I could clearly hear them without my hearing aids in.
I returned a volley of bangs around the top of the bookcase cabinet, and I kept it up for a few moments. And waited, stick in hand, for the reply… There were many more taps and bangs, but they were all a lot quieter, so fair enough. They stopped after a few minutes. He’s probably going out to see his favourite youngsters with his pressies? I’m dreading the self-centred, impolite, insensitive, disrespectful, snobbish, haughty, pompous, pretentious, uppity, scoffing, contumelious, smart-alecky, ineffable crud-nut coming back.
Got carried away there, sorry…
Was beginning to get a smidgen worse as I exited the wet room – Smelling all nice and fresh, the smell of the medications wafting up my nose. I went into the junk room to select the day clothes… and… ! As I was reaching at full tilt to get the jumper from the clothes racking, presented me with one heck of an . Short & sharp, but it had over, and I fell into the clothes and slid gently to the floor! Breaking a few clothes hangers in the process and landing on the right knee, which did not please .
The hobble on my hands and knees out into the hallway, into the front room, and the struggle to get myself upright using the weight of the recliner took a long time, but I did it. How things were going, a . I was not hurting, apart from . But that was nothing to do with the tumble.
I soon recovered, and I made my way to the kitchenette to get the kettle on to make a brew of Glengettie.
The red line on the horizon caught my attention, and I went for the Lumix camera. It was misty, so not the best of conditions, but it still looked good to me.
Then I took a shot of the bottom field with the frost still not melted. There were many seagulls about circling and threatening, zooming low. Had they seen a rat, cat or lone dog that they often make a meal of? I missed them all in the photo but caught some a few minutes later.
Took a photo of the drug-dealers house street. You can see which it is by the lack of frost and snow on the roof; no doubt they are growing cannabis or whatever in the loft, hence it being the only house with the attic being heated?
Took another shot of the horizon.
Then one of the Winwood Heights car parking on Chestnut way. Oh... I caught some of the seagulls on their breakfast safari in this one. Hehehe! I made up some waste bags. The nice gentleman in the flat above me offered some accompaniment for me.
This time the tap-tapping was almost musical? The uncommunicative: laconic, taciturn, aloof, Laodicean, reticent, stoical, unruffled, equanimous, unclubbable, unforthcoming, stand-offish, unapproachable, haughty chap, was producing some good stuff, I thought.
A piacere, which, considering he was only using what sounded like a sledgehammer and mallet (Maybe a nail hammer as well), was pretty impressive. I was just getting into it, and he stopped.
I must go on the web to try to find some cartoons to use over the next few days. I may have to stop suddenly. For I have the Amazon deliveries that are due today, and they are currently (0335hrs) being given an ETA of twixt 03:40 > 0640hrs. Which possibly means it will be here by 22:00hrs or tomorrow.
Weary, tired, computer off.
Woke me up. Issued Peptac, checked taps and stove. Had a mini-natter. Took bags And amazon boxes with her.
Woke up by the kind, caring, sympathetic noisy Git-in-the-flat-above, Herbert. Knock, knocking for a while.
Woke me up. Meds issued. Mini natter enjoyed.
21:45hrs: Woke up to some strange different noises from the Management protected and defended, unneighbourly, superior-natured Gentleman in the flat above. Not sure what caused them, a sort of chugging sound?
22:10hrs: Ah, that’s better, back to his regulation mode of tap-tapping, with the odd clunk thrown in for good measure.
I kept trying to fall asleep again but ended up turning on the TV. Ah, that did it! Zzz!
01:30hrs: With a jerk, jump and shock! Not the foggiest idea what had caused this rude awakening? but it buggered me up, and I spent the next four hours or so desperately trying to get back to sleep – No chance until about 05:00hrs. Off into bliss!
05:20hrs: I more or less erupted into wakefulness.
I was half over the edge of the cushion on the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, incommodious, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner.
For this, I blame the nightmare I was having, the slippery materialed new dressing gown I had on… and I might as well blame as well. Oh, and myself, I suppose!.
Although, is yet another possible (definite) reason for my poorlier than it should be, health. Nicknamed Herbert’s real name is John, I think, the protected from criticism, imperviable to criticism, animadversion or condemnations. A superior acting gentleman, urchin. An untouchable, pompous, arrogant elitist!. He’s not a nice person to those he’s making life a misery for with his constant everyday noise-making. Made invulnerable and defended by those in control of the Independent Living Organisation. I pray I do not meet him face to face ever again… I’ve never ever lost control physically… yet! Doing so could well see me off – but he is seeing me off slowly with his grinding, tap-tapping, drillings and knockings every single day! Such a supercilious sod.
I think there’s just a minimal iota of an idea, that he may be getting to me?...Hehehe!
06:00hrs: I looked at the clock and realised I didn’t want a wee-wee – this is the first day’s awakening for months that I didn’t want a pee on stirring back into resat life! All very confusing! Nonplussing!
started to kick off straight away, might be the late medications yesterday? But she’s been much worse, only short stabbing pains at the moment. It does not last for long, with plenty of breaks in between.
I rose from the £300, bought nine years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly, sickeningly beige-coloured, many crumb-containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner, caught my balance, grabbed 4-pronged Metal Micky, and off to checks the taps and get the kettle on for a brew.
I tried to get some decent photographs of the pretty morning view. I don’t think I id too well, do you? Haha!
Housewife Mode-Engaged! I set to getting the waste badges sorted out. Cleaned the sink area… well, tidied it up a bit, then! Got some more paper towels out to use and made a brew of Glengettie tea. Took the mug to the computer and checked for any messages or comments that may have come in from my hundreds of blog fans throughout the world. I answered them both.
During this, I kept hearing the oddest noises and thought it might be someone knocking on the door. I should have known, of course – it was the Herbert in the flat above giving me a concert of tap-tapping, knock-knocking with the odd loud crunching sound thrown in for good measure. I have to put up with this noise every single day, and at the weekend, it gets even worse. Still, no hard feelings, after all, as the Nottingham City Homes manager said to me: “He’s a wonderful man and makes steam engines for the school…” Nuff said. That was seven years of noisy hell ago. I wish him no harm, do not place curses on him, refuse to give him a neck-chop when I get near enough to him, swear about him, or hate him… just the noise he makes so regularly. I hope whatever it is he’s making comes out well. And the children, he seems to like, enjoy them.
As I moved on to updating the Inchie Today for yesterday, I heard a noise that sounded to my ears like firecrackers; it kept on for a few minutes, and I just had to have a look around in case someone was at the door or something may have fallen over. I had a momentary vision of an alien sliming along into Do-No-Wrong, noisy, snotty Herbert’s flat and slowly eating him alive. This cheered me up a bit; no harm in having a dream? Naturally, the noise was coming from the flat above. He got but more violent with it this time. Thuds bangs, and somehow, with tap-tapping in the background this time. Damned clever chap! I gave a tap or two with Metal-Micky’s handle on the high bookcase in return. He just carried on.
announced the arrival of . He got the medications sorted alright, and we had a little chat. He checked the taps and cooker on his way out with the waste bags for me. Nice lad!
I made up a bottle of spring water and added some lime juice, went to put it in the cubby-hole on the Hopewell’s 1963-built, falling to pieces, E-Plan Sideboard. Where I espied the Carers & Nurses Christmas bottle for them to choose. I must remember to ask a carer if there are any more names to go down.
The unfriendly, bumptious, toffee-nosed, self-important, snotty-nosed, condescending, sanctimonious animal in the flat above has never been as persistently noisy as he is today. If I meet up with him, he could just be ready for a fall! I am not a violent person, but many years of putting up with this protected by the Council Management turd; is getting to me now!
There will be a clash coming unless he cuts down on the banging about soon! The pococurante, dismissive, disrespectful, git… will no doubt lose out in any conflict, despite his grandeur and overconfidence, and I will end up in prison… the Prison Hospital, I hope. Then I might get the Dementia, DVT vein, and Cataracts seen too? And a new PC to work on? Be fed meals? Sounds good to me. Sorry Herbert, this is your last warning! (It’s not really; he’s in no danger from me).
Arrived to do a quick check-up and Client Review. And during the questioning and answering session, witnessed the noise that I was suffering from the flat above! As for myself, I can never tell if it’s him or someone banging on the door! I explained this to Kara. This is why I do not wear the hearing-aids when in the flat. Unfortunately, I can’t hear the fire alarm either, then.
But it doesn’t matter as long as Herbert can get away with such antisocial behaviour and him being immune from doing any wrong… the nasty, noisy bully.
Now then, can I remember the recipe from Grandma Griselda? Toad’s legs curdled with the blood of a Vampire, 2oz of Basil, 1 litre of Double strength bleach, and a tablespoon of TCP. Oh, what were the other ingredients? Eye of a newt and toe of a frog, the Wool of a bat and the tongue of a dog…
No, hang on… Am I getting mixed up with Macbeth? Hehehe!
At last, a decent mug of Thompson’s Punjana and three biscuits to dunk in it. By gum, this is a good life!
Hahaha!
Arrived, and he got me sorted out with the medications. I dropped one… Fool? Me? Yes! We couldn’t find it, but worked out it was a Codeine 30g, and although we were low on many tablets, plenty of them remained, so he gave me another one.
That git upstairs is driving me mad with the tapping and knocking.
It’s not doing my health or temper any good! It won’t do him a lot of good when I meet him again! The ignorant &^%stard!
I foolishly went on Amazon to see if they had any small Air-Fryers on offer – and ended up ordering one. There’s no stopping my sinking bank balance or stupidity!
. I went to get the kettle on again and took these photographs of the front car park. The left one to the right, the right one to the left… I think. Hehe!
Then Spend-the-lot Inchie actually went back onto Amazon and ordered a new keyboard. I’ve got to stop doing this!
I am so angry with myself – I could almost cry!
What the hell is the matter with me?
No need to answer that, folks; I’ve a sneaky feeling that I know, but not keen on admitting it, if you know what I mean… which is probably more than I know!
Nearly 18:00hrs and the Perfect-One, protected and adored by the management of Nottingham City Homes, is off again with his banging away! With any luck, he’ll have a heart attack before I see him again and save me from getting arrested for GBH. It’s a living hell! But I don’t truly mind a single bit. It’s all said in fun…
Oh! I’ve done the . I’d better get them done then…
Dang and bother and . I’m back in the Hypertension Red-1 zone again. Think I got spoilt with two days in the HIGH-NORMAL Pink. Hehe! Still, it’s been worse.
I was making slow headway with this blog, but better than none. Meant another long day for this old man. Hey-Ho!
Not has anything to eat yer, apart from three biscuits. I went into the kitchen to get the cooker oven heating up. And I was so glad I did; for the red moon was going down on the horizon; quickly too.
The results were very pleasing for once. Of course, I forgot all about putting the oven on.
Great balls of fire! He’s off again. A mechanical concert of bangs, tap-tapping and the odd clunk in between!
I went back to the computer and realised I was missing my beloved ‘Heartbeat’ on TV channel 10. Did some more updating of this blog while half-listening to Heartbeat… I don’t put it on loud cause being a much better and less snotty A-hole than, let’s say, Fart-Breath, living above, and I don’t like to make noise and disturb my neighbours. Grumph!
An hour or so after taking the photos of the sunsetting, I then noted that I had not put the oven on after all. So I did.
It wasn’t really a depression I’d sunk into; more a moment of self-disgust and or loathing… no, it was depression. Tsk!
Got the nosh sorted out, well-gone 20:00hrs now… Oh, no, gone 21:00hrs! At last, the noise from above had ceased – but I’m anticipating it starting again, like last night at gone 22:00hrs.
NOSH TIME COMETH:
A decent-looking nosh, but unfortunately, the photo and all taken since were recorded on the Lumix without my having a memory card in it. I’d left it on the computer yet again.
Flavour Rating: 8/10.
Woke me; I noted I’d fallen asleep watching Heartbeat; I’m missing more than I had watched lately. Thanks to turd-face up above, wearing me down with all his bashing and banging about, I’m so tired. Jo-Anne got the medications sorted as I was about to eat the meal. Left a pot of Lumix for me to take after the meal. We had a natter and insisted she selected her choice of thank you drink. Went with her to lock the door, and she took the waste bag with her to the chute on her way out.
06:00hrs: Woke requiring a wee-wee; rather urgently. Rose carefully and caught my balance, and over to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), and had to be patient as there was a lot of PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling); The were not getting messages through to the brain, which kept up the after-dribbling going for more than ten minutes at least. Eventually, it stopped.
Then straight away, after storing Little Inchie in the PPs, an even more urgent call came – To the . yet again! Bum down, and the evacuation started of its own accord. But no complaints; although it was messy, it was all over in seconds. But on cleaning up, the tissue was red with blood. Deep red, so I didn’t fret about it; it was almost certain to be just bleeding. Washed things, and I medicated the rear end with Germoloid Cream.
Then olive-oiled the ear-holes.
Got the eye drops done; maybe 5% got in the eyes. The rest down the cheeks and somehow into my nose, down through the moustache, leaving it with brown streaks, and into the mouth.
Went to the kitchen to make a mug of Glengettie tea.
The fog was lingering outside, and I took this blue-hued morning shot of the view. I’ve now forgotten the word I was about to use to describe it. Humph!
Never mind, getting used to forgetting things comes with Vascular Dementia, Doreen’s attention.
But it’s hard to live with. Then, after another wee-wee, I got the Health Checks done.
Oh, heck! Back up again today.
Into the Hypertension Two – Red zone.
Ah, well, it has been higher before. Maybe the tension from Friday’s cock-ups?
I was cleaning the kitchen floor near the cooker when arrived. Always nice to see him, even when he is yawning; Haha! But he wasn’t this morning. got the medications sorted out, and Peptac was given to me. We had a chat for a while. Richard got a phone call on his mobile and apologised. No need for that, mate. He told me about his problems with his Diabetes – 2. Nice to listen to him; he did it to let me know others are suffering as well, I think. A tactical ploy? Hehe!We had a laugh about things… he has a skill for making me feel good!
Visit number three. Another good one, and no bleeding this time?
Got the computer back on… and…
Cragknangles!
I could not save the work I’d done on this blog. So dare not turn off the computer. So left it running and went onto CorelDraw to do a graphic for tomorrow’s blog.
Took another wee-wee, washed and sanitised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket). Accompanied by Herberts
mechanical largo of noise.
Made another brew, Thompson’s Punjana, this time, and the internet came back on. Well done, Fries! Got the Sunday blog completed and posted off to WordPress.
The DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) nurse, Hristina, arrived.
She took the blood sample for the Warfarin INR testing.
Lovely gal, a treasure of patience with me, and listened when I talked. Bless her Cotton Socks!
Half an hour later, the Carer Manager, Tina, arrived. We spoke for a while, mostly me telling her about the odd memory blanks I’d had last week. I thanked her for the extra care she had provided for me. Another lovely, patient-with-me gal.
When Tina left, I did it again, and I lost a couple of hours altogether. But am pretty sure I was working on CorelDraw… of course, when I say pretty sure… Irestarted this update, but with little to add to it, really.
The doctors’ surgery rang with an updated Warfarin dosage. INR level is now 4.6, dangerously high. The man asked if I was taking the correct dosages, I told them the Carers take care of that nowadays, so it should be right.
I made a list of the new dosages and planned to put it in the Carers folder, but didn’t. (Dementia Doreen and a mind-blank?)
Later, I found I was being given the wrong dosage, but somehow noticed it? Got the new list onto the folder.
I thought I’d get the meal started; the pots were nearly ready in the slow cooker. And I’ll settle to watch a frost episode while I eat it… not the Frost episode, the meal. An odd-looking meal this one was.
I mashed a whole boiled potato mashed with Leicester cheese. I added a blob of vegan butter, sea salt and a dollop of BBQ sauce on top. A Vegan Shepard’s pie. Three tiny oven-cooked rolls and got chomping away at it until it had all gone. Taste: 8/10. Turned off the computer and promptly .
Woke me up. I’m afraid I was a smidge out of it with sleepiness lingering, and I may have been either gabbling on or non-responsive to the lad. Had the Peptac and tablets, and he was soon gone. (I think). The wrong dose of Warfarin was given to me. (Amazing that I noticed in my half-asleep mode). Gave him the new dosage list, and Ty stuck it onto the Carer’s folder cover. All okay now.
.
Woke me up. Peptac served up. Chatted about the ailments we share, and we managed a (precious) laugh or two. Took the waste bags with him after checking the taps and cooker.
. Slept with just two rises for a wee-wee and one messy Porcelain Throne.
Woke at 07:20ish hrs: After what must have been one of the worst nights ever, for the repetitive nodding-off and jarringly springing waking again, minutes later! Pains from and the bladder side of the stomach. This had me a smidgeon worried! announced the arrival of , who seemed up for it, until the yawning began. He’s struggling to get sleep the same as I am. poor lad. Richard got the medications given and went to check the non-prescription drawer for out-of-date products. Which resulted in two, I say two 15l carrier bags of stuff to throw away! He’s a good lad to me! I had to nip into the wet room for the third wee-wee of the morning. The precious ones were flowing decently; this one was back to having to force things out and getting only a sprinkling… but this time with a difference. The stink was the worst I’ve ever smelt in 76 years of weeing! It was repugnant! Not that I understand much about it, but I got the idea that now the flowing was starting again, the old stored liquid in the bladder may have been being forced out? I mentioned it to Richard, who smiled and said I know. I smelt it and heard you cursing about it, talking to yourself! It really annoyed you didn’t it? I’ve never heard you swear so much! He was spot-on the button with his comment. Hehe! I really thought the urine infection was on its way back. Richard departed with the two bags of out-of-date medications and two bags of general waste with him for me. Richard even made me a brew of tea! He may call on me for the late check visit but was not sure. I hope he does, he always does his best to cheer me up and have a smile or two, and that’s precious! However tired he is.
As I got back to get the spud in the slow cooker, Herbert, my noisy neighbour above, started his bang-banging. I wonder what he’s making today? I got to drinking the mug of tea that Richard made for me and gave me a good shake. Thus I spilt the mug of tea… she’s been so kind lately as well, but she caught me out this time. I swore, cleaned up the mess and made another one. I took these shots of the view from the kitchen window while waiting for the kettle to boil again.
The top one had the moon just disappearing from view on the horizon. Why it came out so dark. I know not.
The second one was a mystery to me? How that one came out so light is another mystery to me!.
The third one came put as it looked to the eyes. The bottom field with the housing at the back, no wonder the frost, according to the computer, was -2°c!
The last one was another disappointment. I tried to brighten it a bit, but I ended up with a white sky, and still, the houses were unclear? . started off next. But this didn’t bother me too much because the pains from the bladder seemed to be lessening. What’s going on in there? Herbert went into another bout of almost musical banging about. I think he dropped a sledgehammer at one time. Hope he’s not injured himself at all.
It took me a long time, but I got the Tuesday blog updated and sent off to WordPress. Then, during an hours-worth run of wee-wee taking, I got the Pinteresting of some photos done.
WordPress Template preparing next. That went well. Then made a start on this blog. arrived but did not press the door chime. I pointed this out to him, and we had a laugh about it. Made my point that I could have been using the bucket and needed to know when someone was about to come in to give myself time to shout not to come in yet. Still, a nice lad. We had a little natter and a laugh.
Ah, well, back up to Stage Two Red Hypertension again. Can’t win ’em all, can you? Well, I can’t. Hehe! It’ll be lower tomorrow, just you see! EQ told me, that he is rarely wrong.
Was getting noisy again. This time I replied with a clout of two of my own on the top of the high bookcase, but only the same amount of bangs and thuds that he’s sent down to me over the next few minutes. Not that it stopped his banging about, of course. Thud, clunk…
announced the arrival of . She told me the fire alarm was going off, but I could not hear it in the flat.
She issued the medications, and I asked her to check the taps for me on leaving. But I wouldn’t let her go until she told me the fire alarm had finished.
we took this photo of an engine sown below outside. Others arrived later.
The alarm was still ringing ten minutes later. A live one, mayhap, this time?
Carolynne and I went out into the flats’ lobby. I could hear the alarm going out there. I opened the door a bit, and both of us could smell burning!
I told her to come back into the flat until the alarm stopped. Which she did.
As we were both coming in, she said the alarm had stopped. Off she went. I hope the lifts were working again for her; I imagine they would have been turned back on now the alarm had stopped.
The temperature now showing is minus 1°c. I wonder why it keeps changing from Celsius to Fahrenheit? Hello, it’s just changed to a snow warning icon?
There’s scum, and there is Scum. The lousy inhuman SCUM that can do this without checking or getting help, should be hung! Then again, I truly think that Parole Board members who free convicted killers to kill again should be hung as well.
I wonder what the shitbag’s reasons were? In a stolen car? No insurance? No licence? Wanted on a warrant? Drink driving? Or maybe all of these things.
I bet the judge lets them off with a dangerous driving charge.
Some smart-arsed lawyer will earn his money defending them and conning the condemnable judges in which we are supposed to have faith and belief. Until your daughter is killed by them again, as the overpaid pathetic Parole Board sets them free early on licence… Grrr!
Better get something to eat, then. Oh, I’ll check to see if any new figures have come through for Covid for Nottingham first. Aha, got to these numbers through the Nottingham Evening Post’s links. Not sure of the period it covers, but is the latest one on it.
Hello, hello, hello! and . Is this not a Boll-Weevil I have on my finger?
Gawd Blimey, please say no; I don’t want an infestation of them again!
This one was on the draining board in the kitchen. I shall keep my eyes peeled while making the meal for any more of the little blighters! Oh, please, no!
Oh, heck, I missed these pictures I took during the day.
The top one looks like late afternoon.
The middle one this morning?
Well, I think it was. Maybe, perhaps, possibly, mayhaps, presumably. in all likelihood and possibility, taking all things into consideration, it’s likely that I may be right or wrong…
The evening and last one, I think I took whilst (I’m almost sure) was here with the fire engine viewing.
Of course, it could have been anytime, really.
This time, I must get the food prepped. A simple fayre for a simpleton fella! Cottage pie, the slow-cooker cooked for wight-hours big potato, with liquid smoke added to the spud, and BBQ sauce to the cottage pie. I don’t ask a lot... I don’t get much, either. Hahaha! But I did enjoy this dishful and the following Vegan Soya lemon yoghourts.
I then launched into mission-impossible mode! Trying to get to sleep and stay asleep. It was a bridge too far, an extremely difficult, nay, impossible, unattainable, forlorn, unexcogitable, hopeless task! I got the pots washed, and checks were done.
Within minutes of getting settled in the £300, used, second-hand shop bought nine years ago, c1966, discomfiting, alarmingly Kari-beige coloured, crumb containing, TV remote hiding, not working recliner, I floated off into what I thought was going to be, a deep sleep.
A few minutes later, I woke up calmly. (No jerking a jumping at all!) That was the end of my kipping!
My body was telling me I needed sleep. But, it was not to be.
I even put the TV on in hopes of the averts helping me to drop off. It didn’t help! I lay there hoping, praying and swearing to myself, for Gawd knows how many hours. Then around 07:10hrs in the morning, rang out and almost reluctantly, I limped to the door to let in.
04:55hrs: I woke up for what must have been the 20th time overnight and decided to give up trying to sleep and get up. The instant I rose onto my feet, a giddy spell developed, and at the same time, I realised I was not in full control of things in my head. A confusing babble of thoughts raced to and fro. I think I did the right thing; I sat down and let Dementia Doreen have her run. As it happened, she or whatever the cause, was bringing forth ideas, regrets, guilt, mistakes etc., so fast, I was barely bothered by it.
But it left me struggling to concentrate for a few hours.
Some things seemed foreign to me, not everything to mind. I can recall, over the next hour, a few incidents, which I’ll share with you, and the Dementia nurse when I see her again. If I remember! I had three trips to the Porcelain throne in about 15 minutes. On the first, I actually had to think where the flush was and was physically reaching up for a second to pull the nonexistent chain?
On the last call, when I decided to put some olive oil in the ears, I could not pick up the bottle. No reason at all for this, as far as I could tell. I just could not grab the bottle? Seconds later, I tried again, and no problem, all back to usual?
I really want to tell the nurse and Carer Richard about this; it was so weird. I’ll tell Richard he can pass it on if he sees the nurse again.
I felt disorientated for a time.
As I was making up the waste bags, I stopped to take some photographs from the kitchen window. I suppose because the scene looked so beautiful. Yet no different than usual, well, it was to me.
Then I forgot all about the waste bin bagging and found myself putting the laundry to go into the big bag.
I went to get the kettle on and realised I’d left the flipping tap running again! My self-hating and inner lambasting erupted. Worran, odd morning.
♫Things Ain’t Wot They Used To Be♫.
Made a brew and checked that the Georges-Asda dressing gowns were still coming. George’s says delivery today, but the transport company (Hermes, I think) only say estimated to come today? Not another Amazon-like farce, Please!
Arrived. Helped me with the computer order and Amazon cock-up.
Didn’t take the waste bags with him. Got him all day today, clever lad.
Updated the Friday WordPress blog. Went on WP comments. Then Pinterested some photos.
Arrived, but I forgot to ask him to take the waste bag again. He departed, leaving it on the box in the hallway near the door.
I was so tired. But had to try to stay awake in case Hermes delivered the dressing gowns. (Ha!) What a dreamer this idiotic, retarded, in-pain, beyond-help, uneducated, bald, large right testicled, mentally and physically crumbling old-timer is!
Euthanasia comes to mind.
As I was taking these pictures of the brightest part of the day, and I thought pretty too… A vicious tummy ache started. Bladder side. And I am now worried, as I was of writing this at 19:35 hours, it is still giving me some stick. Getting no easier, despite taking extra Peptac. This is not good. I fear the wrist alarm may have to be activated if it gets worse.

A MURDER INVESTIGATION AFTER A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD WITH STAB WOUNDS
Somehow headlines like these in Nottinghamshire shock us less and less.
As usual for the Nott’s Police, out goes an appeal for anyone who caught the scene on their car cams. Anyone passing by noticed anything unusual.
CCTV, dash-cam footage.
It appears the Police have arrested a woman and are questioning her.
That’s good.
I wonder if it was what they call a domestic?
Will a lawyer be building a defence at this moment?
Wife beating? Mental Stress, did the man drink at all or take drugs?
Whichever, the Parole Board will free them early.
Arrived and did the medications. didn’t stay to make sure I took the Peptac. Didn’t do any tap checks or take the waste bag with him. I know I’m right about this; because the bag was still there in the hallway, and… when I went to wash the Peptac pot…
I FOUND THE HOT WATER TAP I’d left RUNNING. Hot water, stone cold. Mess on the floor and counter. Not my day, is it?
20:25hrs: Got a text message coming in on my mobile. Which depressed me so much.
Just like the messages from Amazon started. False promises? They went on for five weeks after the assured delivery date.
I thought with George-Asda offering a one-day delivery for an extra £4.95 or whatever it was, would assure me of getting a shower and shave and having something clean to wear, like a dressing gown. So I paid up, full of confidence in the superior service of Georges…
After waiting in all day with no TV on so I could hear the intercom buzzing when the delivery arrived. (Yes, I still thought it would arrive. What a burke!
I spent hours fighting off and falling asleep. Then the stomach ache started, and Carer Ty failed to do the tap-running checks. I found after he’d gone, I’d left the hot tap running again, a mess to clean up – Ah, all that bending might have started the stomach off? I wonder if the dressing gowns will come with the Asda food order in the morning?
Arrived for the last short safety checks and gave me a Paracetamol to counter the tummy pains. Which I do believe are getting less severe now? A little natter and treats selected, at my insistence. ♥

Another punk who can’t hold his beer. Chittock; is a suitable name for a Shithead wino.
What a cowardly bully he obviously is.
Blaming things on his drinking, thus getting the sympathy of the port drinking judges, judging by the pathetic sentence they gave this animal?
Now we await the Parole Boards scumbag’s decision to free Chittock early on licence. Will he do a year, even?
Well, I can’t get a wash and shave, no hot water.
But I can get down in the second-hand, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe-producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, blown-up testicle-squashing incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, and pray for sleep. So, I did!
Gave up and made a meal. A can of Chilli-con-carne, with some roast vegetable sauce, added. I heated two cobs in the oven and had a pot of the soya lemon yoghourt.
Very nice, too. Taste: 7.4/10.
I was just nodding off and chimed out, and the late safety-check Carer called. I’d forgotten about that!
It was . Nice to see her. Told her about the stomach cramps, and she gave me a Paracetamol with the Peptac. Selected a treat, and I went with her to lock the front door as she left.
Sleep came quickly enough, but yet again, the jumping awake throughout the night pestered me.
06:30hrs: The eyes popped open. The brain refused to engage a gear, I think. Because I found myself wee-weeing, then sorting the bins out, making up waste bags… then sitting on the Porcelain Throne. All within 30 minutes! Washed and refreshed, I got the computer going and got the worked out. Adding up to the NHSS analyser placing me in the Hypertension-1 Red area.
Which was not bad, looking at the previous week’s returns.
I see there is a good mix in levels recently: I make it 3x High Norms, 1x Hyper Three The highest), 1x Hyper Two, and 2x Hyper Ones.
The Normal one on Thursday stands out like a sore thumb.
Today’s Hyper-One was very close to being a High-Norm,
So no complaints there! Well, it had to happen again. Virgin Media went Down! Didn’t it, Mr $26 million a year salaried boss of Global-Liberty Fries, who bought Virgin Media and told the customer call centre staff in England, never to mention Liberty Global to customers!
There has to be something dodgy about this, surely? Financial wizardry? Money-Laundering? (The act of engaging in transactions designed to obscure the origin of money that has been obtained dodgily). Figure manipulating? The ulterior motive that will lead to bigger profits? Deceitfulness? Deception? Dishonesty?, Dissimulation? Double-dealing? Hocuspocus?, maybe Jiggery-pokery?
Why pay $24b to buy a company just to run it into the ground? I wonder if Liberty-Global’s lesser financiers in the insurance business are involved somewhere along the line?
No, I’m not jealous of the man just because he gets a ridiculous amount in salary and guaranteed bonuses, even an unmonitored expense account. Nor that he is totally incapable of running an internet service that may manage a day without going offline. Or that he keeps putting up the prices to customers. then advertises his business as ‘Super-Fast’, ‘Most Reliable’ etc.
Arrived without pressing the door chime. I asked her to do so in future, please, nicely like, and explained why. She said she would when the reasons were given to her; bless her. We had a mini-natter and laugh, and off she trotted.
Ah, Liberty-Global Virgin Media came back online. Don’t anyone tell Fries, though; someone at Virgin may get into trouble for doing something right! We can’t have competent people working at Liberty-Global; it’s not natural.
I made an Asda order for Sunday delivery. This should give me time to sort out Richards in thanks treats, so he can have them on Monday morning.
I even managed to find the ‘No Substitutes’ page and used it for most of the items.
As I was closing the site, I espied a link to Georges Clothing, so went on to investigate if they had any dressing gowns in stock. I feel awful about wearing the one warm one I have left on for so long.
Of course, if the ones I ordered from Amazon had arrived, there would have been no need to get any others, but they haven’t. Before having a look, I checked on Amazon to see if there was any chance of them arriving.
Nope, but they did say it was the Post Office worker’s actions that were delaying the gowns from arriving.
Also, I couldn’t cancel the order until I had contacted the seller? Swine!
So I contacted them via the link on the page. Explaining that I’d had to buy some elsewhere, so wish to cancel the order.
So having contacted the seller, I went to cancel the order on Amazon. I got the above answer; If the seller does not resolve the issue within 48 hours of your first message, you can revisit this page to ‘Check’ if you are eligible to ‘Request’ an A-Z Guarantee refund. This stinks! Note the ‘to see if you are eligible… I’m not going to get a refund or the bloody dressing gowns at this rate – and still, I can’t cancel the order! Which Amazon has taken the money for!
Arrived. She was busy on the mobile, trying to get help for a previous client from Nottingham City Homes. No problem with that. She got the medications sorted and gave me help with the Amazon issue; bless her ♥. Got the refund from the supplier! We had a little natter and laugh, and I insisted on her treat in thanks for being chosen.
I updated the Google Calendar with the two deliveries coming, the dressing gowns and the Asda food order.
Got an imitation beef pie in the oven cooking.
Chips in curry in the microwave.
Made a meal of sorts, and with the two last slices of wholemeal bread and a pot of soya lemon mousse, I tucked into it.
I enjoyed it, too, for once.
Flavour rating: 7/10.

Four years? Bearing in mind his history of armed robbery, is this a deterrent or Present for him? And what a mitigating statement from Raglan Ashton to read to the court, and still he gets only four years. Look at him! Unquestionably the pathetic overpaid Parole Board parasites will free him on licence within months! But it will be kept quiet!
Got down in the recliner and awaited the last Carer Call of the day. I really wanted to just sleep. Ah, Sweet Morpheus Came in and gave me the last dose of Peptac, and checked the taps (faucets) were not running. Took the waste bag with her on departing; bless her.
