I have blogging duties. I needed some cartoons, and I spent three hours trimming them up and getting them ready to use on CorelDraw, which, dare I say this? CorelDraw did not crash all day long! There, now we’ll see if it continues… Dang. Dang, Sang, Dang!
A change in the meal stakes today. I put a can of vegetable soup in the pan and added fresh onions, peppers, mushrooms, and peas. A packet of basil passata, and some Turkish beef, chopped up by my fair hands and mixed into the mix. Later, I added a drop of tasty Polish Krakus beetroot Borscht and Winiary seasonings. I left it on a low light to marinate all the way through, then returned to the computer work. Made a start on the blog at last.
The sun was taking its time getting through.
What a change to an hour earlier that was!
I was struggling with my concentration for hours and hours of making errors on the flog making.
This was a great cloud formation not to miss. Can you see the faces in it?
I baked some potatoes and added them to the saucepan. What a feast. Lipsmackingly Gorgeous!
Carers, as I recall, or don’t. Christopher, Joanne and Victor.
I was pleased to see the plane’s contrails showed up so well in this Kodak Tim snap of the sun on its way down. I loved the E or Pound sign, Little Clouds. Can you see the chess rook just above the sun? The flying fish to the left of the £ sign? I am well pleased with this photo. Oh, I’ve just spotted a spider on it, too! I so love photos that are Pareidolianiable!
Well, something of a miracle happened overnight. Yes! Although it was broken into pieces, I reckon got at least seven hours of sleep! Not been known for many a month. Are things getting better for me? What a stupid question! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
The three medical outings in five days have left me with immense pain from the tubing being moved, tugged and adjusted by the medical staff, and Little Inchies Fungal Lesion bleeding is giving out pain like never before.
It’s wearing me down so persistently. I’d like to explain what actions were taken here in case I forget it later. When she came, I explained the pain to Carer Kara. She kindly rang the District Nurses and advised them of my dilemma. As Kara was rushing off, they called back. I handed the mobile to Kara as my ears were not picking up what whoever rang was saying. It was a Nurse who gave the fantastic advice: “Tell him to take Paracetamol.” (Surely they know I’m on the maximum permitted every day, anyway?) “We are calling on the 30th anyway!” Great, a 7-day wait for pain relief. I am taking an extra Codeine 30g of it, but I do not feel too happy about it, even though they do not help much either. The chance of getting side effects will be multiplied if I take more than prescribed… I’ll look them up while I think about it. Here they are with explanations as to how they affect me personally. Constipation: Dead right there! Spot-on! Feeling sleepy: Check! Confusion:(Unable to concentrate or think clearly muddled thoughts): I have been like this for two years! Feeling dizzy and vertigo: Yes, both; I call them Dizzy Dennis and Balance Bothering Brenda. Dry mouth: Yes! Headaches: Nope!
Anaphylaxis: This is a life-threatening allergic reaction that happens very quickly. It can be caused by food, medicine, or insect stings. Call 999 if you think you or someone else is having an anaphylactic reaction. Symptoms of anaphylaxis happen very quickly. They usually start within minutes of coming into contact with something you’re allergic to, such as food, medicine, or insect stings. Well, that’s as clear as mud. But I’m taking another one, no choice, I can’t bear this pain! That’s handy. There are only two Codeine tablets left in the Carers pot on the desk, and I can’t find any in the medical drawer in the kitchen. Hopefully, some may be due soon. I’ll get in a tizzy if I run out, which I did in the morning!
Good colour.
Morning view.
Much painful urging was needed.
My food order arrived. Spring water. Carers, nurses, treats. Food Glorious Food!
Carer Marie arrived, helped me put the last few things away, and checked some dates.
The pains from the catheter were even worse today! Concentration is done in.
Sky photos were taken frequently as I made a mess of blogging. The pains eased a smidge when I got stood? Ever-changing views of the clouds. Do you see the face? Faces again.
As I was getting the meal sorted.
Carer Christopher came while I was imbibing the nosh. Can of tomatoes with tomato & Mediterranean vegetable sauce. Sea salted, and Milk Roll bread dunked. Some cheap bacon misshapes cooked in the oven were added. Christopher got the sock off for me.
I’m not sure when I took this Kodak Tim shot. But it looks gorgeous.
The second half of the day is a mystery to me. I took a turn and stopped doing everything. I got down in the second-hand, c1966, £300 charity shop-bought, wincingly grotty, beige-coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, and just stayed there. The symptoms were a new occurrence for me. I was not dizzy exactly, but oh so vague. My thoughts didn’t seem to be my own. Apart from getting up to empty the tank a few times, I sat there for about eight hours or more, seemingly uninterested in getting up. I was so drained, but Sweet Morpheus was not attainable at all. I stayed there for two Carer visits. No meal, and no interest in eating. I left the TV on all the time, with the sound off. The odd dropping-offs were short… and at about 01:00hrs, as I got up to empty the pouch again, my balance was all over the place. I had a sense that I may not have checked the taps and cooker, so went to the kitchen, all fine, then the wet room… Things were fine there, too; as I turned to leave, a short had me walking into the doorframe yet again. Thus, setting off into action. This Accifauxpas seemed good to me. I became a little more compos-mentis of things, but that brought on the realisation that I had not even started on the blog yet. Tomorrow, the Diabetes Phone Call and Assessment are due in the morning. Will I ever get this blog done? Back came the fretting and worrying about just about anything that had been absent during the seizure, and I almost welcomed the concerns and worries back home like a lost puppy! Hehe! A short time later, I took a photo of the morning view and got the ablutions tended to. A shave, sh…, teggies, and shower. I’ll have to rush this one. Sorry for missing stuff and for mistakes that are bound to slip through. It’s been a busy day all the same, so there’s a lot to recall when I upload the pictures. I’m hoping they will prompt Memory Michael., but… Hehe! Some scribble is still readable on the notepad for the earlier part of the day.
06:10hrs: I sprang back to life, full of vim and vigour, bounded out of the recliner and did twenty press-ups, 40 Toe-Touches and 5 minutes shadow boxing… . Back to the truth… 06:10:hrs: As I moved, I could feel Little Inchy’s Fungal Lesion bleeding. I noticed that the urine in the pouch was very dark… I emptied the wee into the jug I use for the day bag, and it looked far too red for my liking. The District Nurses have not visited me for a couple of months now, and I will do my best to remember to ring them later and tell them about the catheter not being removed for so long. Oh, and the electric-like pains in the ankle. Although I’m certain, this is caused by saying I’m sure of something maybe stretching the actuality of things.
Another foggy morning.
,
Foggier now.
Asda order arrived Five items are out of stock. I still have some of my favourites. . These burgers are so nice tasting. The best-tasting baguettes I’ve ever had! Back on the computer.
Carer Shaquille arrived. Did his things, and we had a laugh along the way.
Carer Kara arrived later on. She sorted out some emails for me and showed me how to reject further emails from whoever. It was so easy as well, but with my eyesight, I missed the option at the bottom of the emails in question; it was in light green and or pink. Be lost without her. ♥
The doctor’s surgery rang on the landline, with the NHS Anticoagulation, Deep Vein Thrombosis, and Warfarin test results and dosages.
The Seizure Struck. Well dark when I came out of it.
Beautiful late afternoon clouds. With a brown hue, very pretty!
The brown was turning to blue an hour later. Wonderful variations!
. Took these over five minutes, capturing the sun on its way down over the horizon. And turning red. It made me think of Putin!
Put the TV on.
Does this take you back? Heartbeat is my favourite TV programme.
Sorry, there are so many errors in my grammar and typography. I’m so far behind again. The concentration is bad enough; but I’ve started wandering off and doing other things before the original job was done, repeatedly so. FND and Cognitive Impairment Iris, Who do I blame? Here we go, with the many items and incidents missed, forgotten or I gave up on.
Far too dark again! I’ll try to remember tp mention it to the social lady on Monday when she comes of telephones me. Or is that on Tuesday?
Gloomy morning view… and sky.
Hours trying to get the blog started. But Iris sent me off on so many other things to do. Carer Chris called, and I have no idea what took place.
Boy, the skies had changed.
I rang Sister Jane. Getting ready to go to the football match at the City Ground.
Ginormous! I’m glad that’s over!
Carer Joanne came. Poor gal has lost her hair. And her catheter is giving her grief too! Not feeling up to much, bless her. But we still managed a laugh or two. I hope she’s going to be alright. ♥
My concentration and confusion was so bad, I decided to make a brew and watch the TV for a while to try yo unwind… Then… I made the mug of tea, but could I find the TV remote? No, I couldn’t! You can see why I’ve got nothing done today, can’t you? I spent over half an hour trying to find it, without any luck. I’d search every room, pocket and drawer. Baffled! I returned to put the computer back on and thought I’d have a last look for the remote I emptied out everything off of the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner, but didn’t find it. I thought the only place it could be, was underneath the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner. So, despite the orders not to bend or do any heavy lifting, I struggled… painfully to edge the recliner away from its usual position a little at a time. Each move was almost crippling my back and knees, but I was determined to find out if it was hidden under the chair. I could only do one chair move at a time. had to rest a minute or two between each one. Also, the rubbish I found each move had to be cleaned up. Another hour or so later, I remembered I’d not collected the brew of tea yet. I was leaning on the arm of the recliner to lift myself up, and got a double-attack at just the wrong time. !, gave way, and the at the same time! I crumpled, banging down in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner. Bursting open poor when I landed! The agony only lasted for five minutes or so. Then I gingerly rose, grabbed a hold of precious , to the wet room to medicate my rear end, and Phorpain gelled . I was feeling a smidge sorry for myself and agree at me at the same time. The day was getting dark, and the blog had still not been started properly yet. Standing still or sitting down hurt after that, let alone trying to hobble around. Carer Chris arrived to break my concentration further on what needed doing. When I told him of my farcical Accifauxpas, he found them amusing. Haha!
I still had to get the £300, second-hand, musty, Haemorrhoid Harold Testing, cringingly beige, not-working, rickety recliner back to its original position. The thought of having to contact the oligarchical about getting a replacement TV remote, I found daunting. Then I went to get the chair repositioned, and guess what I found, when I moved it? Yep! The remote Control!
I can’t see things improving much.
It was well dark now, sod all done.
Went to try making another brew, and noticed the kitchen window view. Bootiful, too!
Back on the computer, forgot all about making a mug of tea again. For a few minutes, things were going reasonably well… Carer Chris arrived. Full of the joys of spring, that cheered me up a bit.
Took two shots before the sun sank.
Gave up on the blog. no concentration left.painfully. The ribs I hit going down on the recliner. And then, the cartilage & ribs were aching away. Then, a flipping and dusted my spectacle and dressing gown with dried flaked-off skin! I got a letter telling me the rent was going up, along with the communal electricity, caretaking costs, and CCTV charges.
And I still had to make a meal yet. The moment I got up, more pain from the back I twisted and ribs. But these things didn’t depress me, not at all. I was already depressed anyway!
At least the skies were changing and nice.
Early hours of the morning, I made a bowl of vegetable chilli. Grand!
I found this photo on Friday that I’d missed earlier.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Hoping for a visit next week from a summat-therapist, phenomenologist, psychotherapist, psychoanalyst or whatever. Then I can… Ah, I’ve Gorrit! A Physiotherapist is being arranged by the Rehabilitation and FallsService. I can remember now the chap who called the other day showing concern over the state of my knees… at least, I think he did. Today was just as before, in and out of connection with reality. I worry terribly about this… then start fretting cause I can’t remember the name of the vitamins I’m told I am crucially (Not keen on that word!) short of on my last INR DVT Warfarin blood test results. Then, I forget about everything as I go into a mind blank or seizure, coming out with not a worry on my mind… until something is mentioned that starts the cycle again.
Up and down emotionally like a yo-yo.
I cannot recall making this order for Iceland at all! Obviously, it was me who made it, cause all my favourites were in it! Understand that this is my third food order this week! No Carer Kara to limit or check on things; she is off for two weeks on holiday. More of the regulars may be off, too. Because Carers from other establishments are calling. This tests my memory to its limits and beyond, trying to remember things that need doing on each visit. No idea if I’ve said right or wrong to the Carers; it’s frustrating. Back to the unwanted, unnecessary Iceland order… Got the bags into the kitchen. Lucozade treats, iced drinkie, bleach and what the heck was getting more pasta sauce in for? I’ve at least ten bottles on the shelf now! I suppose I could claim that can take the blame? Choca-blocker fridge! Unbelievable! I need help with this!
Trotsky held the advantage.
The NHS sent me a new ailment warning wristband. Any more, and I’ll run out of wrists to put them on. Hehe! Ah, well!
I found this one! Smug Mode Engaged!
THE MEAL.
A cold one. Orange and brown sliced tomato baguettes slathered with butterless salted butter.
Surimi slices, and sliced cold potatoes. Gorgeous!
I think Carers Chris & Victor called today, and some unknown ones.
Sister Jane called me… or did I call her? bled a lot and often. . And were busy giving me bother. But particularly painful was . I seem to be getting pains at the back of both cartilages recently. When walking or lifting either leg. Electric-like Peripheral Neuropathy pains in both ankles. All I can say is thank heavens that I am so pain-tolerant, brave, heroic and spit & laugh in the face of pain. Hahaha!
Feet after the little wander around in town yesterday.
Laundry bag return awaited.
I’m not sure why… I took two photos of the waste bags?
A blurry early morning shot of the car park.
Then two other bad shots of the view ahead.
Got up around 03:30hrs, and the use of the did not arrive until gone 07:00hrs. dominated. Took some cleaning up! .
Looks like a ghostly seat! I hung the towel over the shower chair and turned on the heater to dry it off. Cunning! I remembered doing this an hour or two later, and I went to turn off the wet room emersion heater.
The Meridian Domestic lady did not arrive. Hope she was on holiday and not poorly. So I hoovered the hallway. Unfortunately, I my toe on the trolley walker wheel, right against the . This may have had other lesser men cringing and wingeing, but not me. I just laughed it off!
Made an early fine feast of sliced baked potatoes, soy imitation sausages, beetroot & tomatoes, red & yellows. Naturally, no sooner had sat down to watch the TV with the meal tray on my knees, and my taste buds tingling! 14:35hrs: The opticians rang. Can I bring some old spectacle frames in to use in the varifocal spectacles? The one the Carer took for me is too old to get a lens made to fit it? Back to the meal… 14:48: The Doctor rang to say the Blepha decision will be emailed to me later. Humph! Back to the meal… 15:00hrs: DVT Anticoagulation rang; the DV vein draining has been cancelled. They will make me another appointment. Back to the meal… The potatoes were barely lukewarm by then. How does this happen to me so often? Whatever time I get around to eating, someone will call, or the phone will burst into life. Still, the nosh deserved an 8.4/10 rating!
Took this slightly better shot of the Chestnut Way car park in front of the flats when I washed the pots up.
I decided to watch some TV again. Huh! Turned it on again, and some sad adverts greeted me. Kids have to live using underground water. I noticed my new glasses on top of the cabinet and realised how lucky I am really, compared to some. Then… The TV went off. A message something about; check your external and internal ariels? It came back on later again.
Oh, getting dark? Five minutes later… Another five minutes.
Did the eye treatment. used, then when it had dried, the Gel.
After 18:00hr Carer Benjamin called, and we found we were missing some tablets. I was in a pickle about it, cause it was Atorvastatin, and I had a weirdly strange feeling that Richard mentioned something on Monday to me about it coming later when he kindly fetched the prescriptions for me… but of course with , I’m just not sure. So, none tonight. Benjamin said he would have a look around down in the office for me in case they were in there. Thanked him, and he said he was doing the late call; if the tablets are in the Meridian office, he’d bring them up with him.
I got back on the computer, to find that...
Late Carer Carer arrived. He brought up the missing tablets and issued them with the Peptac; no painkillers were needed. Then attached the night pouch to He also responded to my request for him to hang up the laundry, which was only dressing gowns; bless him.
Turned off this computer, and I got settled in the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden itch-inspiring, not working recliner in search of sleep. I put the TV on, cause that usually helps me to nod off, when the commercial adverts come on… but only when there is something on I wanted to watch. Hehe!
POLITICAL CARTOON – Naughty! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – The spelling mistake was on purpose – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Well, the visit to the produced some action this morning. Fair enough, it was phooey, sticky, falling apart on hitting the water, khaki-coloured mini-torpedoes that evacuated with ease and no pain. Yet somehow produced a little blood to decorate the WC and my bum and legs. Unfortunately I my toe on the floor cabinet corner when I bent down to clean the blood from the WC. No bother, of course, not for the hero of my sturdy, manly-pain-bearing capabilities. No arghs, cursing or swearing, spitting, growling or self-pity. Well, just maybe the odd cringe and wince. Hehe! Carer Jo-Anne called the opticians for me to clarify what they rang me about last weekend. It seems my spectacles are ready to collect, and I have to fetch them to see how I go with them, and then they can do a reading pair. From what I recall, the left lens will be apparent, ready to be swapped when, or if, the left Cataract ever gets done. I’ve no idea if this first pair will be distance or a reading lens fitted. If the Blepharitis is not cleared when I get to the hospital for the left eye cataracts to be done, I’ll be refused and go back to the start of the waiting list again. As it took me over two years to get the right eye done, you can understand how apprehensive I am. Then surprise, surprise, and a Great one too! Nurse Hristina turned up to take my blood today, not Wednesday! The INR level is still worrying them. Far too high!I got the new dosage sheet Yesterday. Far too high. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Night Pouch removed
The legs and ankles were much better this morning!
Trotsky was in charge again!
Taken through the balcony doors and window. Drizzling.
Washed the plates, great!
GOT CARRIED AWAYDoing the day’s blog, I came across a notepad page that was only partly completed; let me spend, wait for it… over 6 hours doing the ode page words! And it’s not finished yet! I simply plodded on uncaringly until the Carer arrived… Tsk!
Got on to CorelDraw. The flipping day’s nearly done. Still, I did stop to take some sky photos occasionally.
Photos were taken while Carer Benjamin was here. Caught Benjamin taking a selfie on the balcony. Hehe!
As of 15@45hrs…
Here are the sky photos in the order they were taken. The first one. Above and below from the balcony. Getting darker earlier now. Looking almost scary now… Still Bootiful, though!
Time to get the nosh sorted out… well, it’s well gone the usual time. If I get a crack one, just knuckle and potatoes, methinks, saving some time. That’s a rarity. No, a sudden change of mind hit me.I had battered balls, bread and peas; that’ll do me. Wonder if I’ve got any crispy onions left in the cupboard? I’ll Soon find out! Nope! So I added some to my Asda order for the morning. The nosh was cooked and served. Nothing special, but So-Tasty! Flavour Rating: 8.8/10.
Washed the pots; I took care cause carrying the night pouch and can be a bit hazardous. In fact, using Metal-Mickey, helped me avoid a when I against the radiator as I went to take these two early morning photographs of the view from the kitchenette window. High in the sky… and down to the houses.
Settled into the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. Moth-eaten, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, bedraggled, dilapidated, crumb-containing for my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. In search of . But he was in a stubborn mood, and it took me a couple of hours to nod off. I noted the time, 03:00hrs, when I knocked a bottle of soda water off the ottoman tray. Used the torch to check it had not burst open and saw the big battery clock. It seemed that seconds later, I was in the land of bliss. Ahh!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – A terribly painful day. The left hip, mystery rib-stabbing pains; left and right today! The infected right leg looked so much calmer and had never been so painful. Three Porcelain Throne visits, every one of them Trotsky Terence controlled. (It didn’t half take me a lot of time to clean up after each call!) Worry over the changed Cataract procedure day; it’s now next Wednesday.Getting a lift rearranged, me forgetting if the booking has been made or not… Letter from the Doctors, casually telling me to call and book an appointment for my flu jab. How? When? This means begging the Carers to phone them and the Easy-Link for me. Also, about the penicillin running out. Carer Richard told me to call the doctor to get some more. Carer Kara spent a few minutes helping me, but I’ve lost memory of what she said now. Letters from National Insurance, the bank, and Virgin all need help for me to grasp what needs doing for each one. This is worrying. I’m not coping very well. Yet, I can do my stupid odes & blog. But they take so long nowadays to get done. I keep having problems with the neurotransmitters failing, dropping things more often, and making even more cock-ups on the programmes WordPress, MS Word & Excel & CorelDraw, which costs me more time than I haven’t got. The thought of having to give up the blog sickens me. But the constant pains today have blocked me from working things out. And, of course, Liberty-Global Virgin Media is ever going down. I just can’t get any help with this. The British Gas keep telling me to send them a reading, but I can’t understand when I open the box, there are two readings, which do they want? I’ve asked the Warden and all the Carers, but none of them know about this problem? I thought about ringing the Dementia or Social Services. But will I be able to hear what they say? I’ve got so many cataract procedures and test coming up. A DVT vein procedure, and want to get to the call-in centre if the leg injury infection doesn’t ease off soon. I’d hooped the NHS falls team would have been advised by someone of my four falls in four days last week. That spilt out, didn’t it? Sorry about that, but I am getting desperate for help.
On with the condensed detail-wise blog… – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Night Pouch.
Waste bags made up.
Photo of yesterday’s meal found.
YESTERDAY’s PAREIDOLIA PHOTO I spotted another option: Maybe the ball-shaped cloud was from an alien craft and had just dragged France in the ball to take it home and study it? Hehe! Many failures in the first hour and a half…
Despite the occasional agony from the infected right leg wound, the feet and legs looked calmer?
View from the computer desk through the balcony.
I went onto the balcony, and the mudslide shot first. Then the front car park.
3-hours later, the failures were at…
The pains persisted in my right leg. Walking was difficult, especially if the hip. It was playing up at the same time. Inside of the limb. With my leg turned in… I’ll not try doing that again. Hehe! An odd swelling coming up now on the ankle? Still, it does look pretty.
A good downpour late in the afternoon.
Early Nosh Sorted Out With a special self-treat to follow… Vegan Icecream!I added some delicious mild Polish raspberry juice. And very nice too! Not overstrong, perfect!
Total failure count, as of now, only…
Much of today was lost to my mind. But all I can be sure of happening, with the aid of a few scribbled notes, and these photographs helped.
I burst into life with a jolt, inane muttering coming from my mouth; I must have been in the middle of a dream? I detached the night bag from . Decent-coloured urine this morning. The need to use the arose, and so did I from the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner, caught my balance, grabbed , and off to the wet room. The evacuation session was completely different this time. in complete charge. Messy!
A stand-up job. Bleeding aplenty from various departments during the washing-up, of my magnificent, muscular, firm, women-attracting body. Where from? I’ll tell yers: Teeth and gums, nose, chin, neck, head and of course the regulars, , and poor old . Oh, naturally from the inserted tube. The took me half as long again as the flipping wash & brush-up did. Ten minutes on the computer, and… And, these oligarchs, heroic internet blockers who claim this: “Liberty Global is a world leader in converged broadband, video and mobile communications and an active investor in cutting-edge infrastructure, content and technology ventures” – Financially they may be, but the service is crap!
Within five hours it had been down nine times! (And more followed!) By the end of the day, the smoke & mirrors money fanatics had failed me no less than 22 times! I really must say, My hatred for them grows!
I tried for ages to get a hold of neighbour Josie, to give her some coffees and a pink G&T. I sensed she was in, but it took me six tries… which was something to do each time that $26 million salaried boss Herr Fries led and owned companies internet failed, again and again!
Domestic Denise called. Shocked at the state of my leg. I think she mentioned it to Carer Kara, who called in quickly to check on my leg wound. Creamed it for me. I’m worried about going in the taxi tomorrow to the Bank meeting, it is painful, and my wearing trousers are bound to hurt more. Poor thing, Hehe!
Laundry returned.
Something else to do while the Liberty-Global internet is down. I made a brew and had two cookies… oh, three!
While a carer was here, ILC (Independent Living Coordinator) Generaloberstess, Ice skating champion, florist and Warden Julie came in. I’m not certain what took place but think it was about ordering a lift with for 21 July for the EENT Hospital. Kara spoke but, I didn’t catch it all; bad timing with my old ear wax crackling again.
Back on the computer…
Ad an early meal, just a small one. Sarnies, tomatoes and beetroot. Nice!
Not sure why or when I took this one. From the computer desk through the balcony.
Carer Chris did the last two calls. Asked him not to put the night bag on, I’ll do it, cause going into the kitchen to make a meal with tube and bag to carry along with a walking stick, is too risky in my state. Mind you, there is always the chance of , , or maybe even a kicking off when I bend, so there is no winning either way. Hehe!
Well, fancy that, I’ve not had two meals in a day for a year or so. I good sign, mayhap; or not?
Then, washed the pots and… took a shot of the end car park as it was beginning to darken a little. We can’t have had much rain lately; the mudslide from Woodthorpe Grange Park was noticeable by its absence!
Waking up to the flashing light from the TV screen, which did the cataract no good. I went to check the kitchen and wet room for anything left on or off that shouldn’t be. The amazing blue hue of the night.
I had got to keep until 03:30hrs and was deep in the land-of-Nod when chimed from the front door ringer. Rudely bringing me back to ersatz life again… I wasn’t keen on it, though, with the pains and aches from yesterday’s tumble making themselves felt before I’d opened my eyelids. As the lids opened, with a blurriness the same as yesterday’s, thanks to the ailments contained within both eyes. , no medications for her, then there was and . I spotted that the, erm… whatever it was that had erupted twixt my Man-Breasts and titanically flabby urine-filled stomach; was getting paler… dying off, methinks? As a perky Carer Chris was on his phone, I spotted that the leg ulcer, ... on the right leg was leaking just a smidge of fluid close to the foot. on the left, also spurting a drop or two out, and the cover was wet from earlier escapages of lymphatic fluids as well. . Carer Chris approach me with the bottle of eye spray and got them like a professional! Sorted the medications, then counted of the five minutes required before dealing out the slightly more uncomfortable vial, and in they went too. He checked the time on his mobile to count down the three minutes that I had to stick my index finger in the noses corner of the affected eye. I have to say, my vision is getting bad now. No doubt cause will be the new drops treatment. Got to be done, though. Carer Chris departed, and of course, after he’d gone, I realised I had not asked him to apply some Phorpain to help relieve , and the now kicking off with steadfast determination. Humph!
Still no need for the , and there were none yesterday either. A smidge worrying, that!
I got the computer on. I hardly need to tell you this, do I?
At least this time, it returned without me having to faffle about resetting the box this time.
I missed putting on this photograph I took when taking it off day pouch. Good colour! Five minutes later, the internet came back on, and I started to finish Tuesday’s Part Two blog…You know what’s coming, don’t you? Yes! I don’t know about ride… More chance of them sinking, I think. But I believe they are doing this on purpose, part of a financial master plan to boost the share of the oligarch’s top list? Part of their financial ambidextrousness & number manipulating profit schemes?
What a magnificent view this morning from the kitchenette window. Absolutely Gorgeous morning colours! Being something of an amateur weather forecaster… Well, my Dad used to say, ‘Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning. Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight!’ And, ‘I could be right, I could be wrong, but black clouds in white, there’ll be rain tonight! He also used to call me; A useless article. As much use as a fart in a cullender. God’s gift to stupidity. And “Are you sure your mine? I’m not!” All mild compared to Mother’s message to the midwife three minutes after I was born… “I don’t want it; throw it in the Trent!” But, years later, when the midwife told me this tale, and I went to inquire with Mother in case this was true, I couldn’t find her. She’s just been arrested for running illegal bookies in the front room. But it weighed on my mind, and after she got bailed and back home, I asked her. The reply? “Yes, I did, but I took to you a bit later!” How comforting life was as an ankle-snapper for me.
Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina Deana came in, I’ve not seen her for months.
The Nottingham City Homes Monitoring the Alert Alarms that I used last night, had asked her to check on me, to see if I was okay. Which she did!
I told her of the tumble. And about my waiting for three months to get the water tap in the sink, and the Water tank going. Expressing the pain my back was in before the fall. was even worse now, with buckets of water to be carried from kitchen to W.C. every Throne visit for three months.
Then had another tumble while she was here. Tsk!
Deana said she’ll ring them to see if they can get any earlier.
I’ve not heard anything from her. So I assume they cannot. No text messages.
Carer Kara arrived as Deana was leaving.
She was in a rush but showed compassion. Did the eyes and checked the catheter for me after the fall.
I made a new, one of the two permitted-a-day mugs of tea. I brought the mug to the balcony and took this snap before having a go at and finishing Tuesday’s blog two. The data analytics manipulators, the specious, untrustworthy, money-juggling, dubious, substandard internet suppliers, and legal financial fiddling experts who have a share in or own 40% of all the UK’s companies, and pat their top dog, Mr Fries, over $26 million salary, with a guaranteed bonus and an open expense account, went down again. Tea & bikkies again, while the Liberty-Global Virgin Media excuse for an internet service was down. The capricious, profit-seeking, cruel, fallible, undependable, company who have just put up their charges again. Fancy that!
Carer Chris called again, eyes, medication, and the second eye drops. Several unbroken hours of blogging were enjoyed.
On Chris’s next call, he picked up some letters that had been posted. One, with increased doses of the Warfarin tablets. The second was from the Queens Medical Centre, the EENT department, with an appointment for me, regarding the cataract situation. Chris checked that I’d done the calendar entry rightly. I begged him to remind me the Thursday the week before, to phone the lift people to try and book a lift there and back. It’s on 21st July at 12:10 hours. It is for a Booked Refraction, whatever that is. I looked it up: Refractive cataract surgery starts in the same manner as standard cataract surgery. Your natural eye lens is removed. However, it is replaced with an advanced multi-focal lens that corrects your vision. Refractive cataract surgery can correct near and farsightedness as well as astigmatism. Of course, I knew that! .
Pareidolian’s Delight.
I think I found many figures and faces in every one of these four photographicalisations. They all amazed me. A camera, various faces, claws, jigsaw pieces, and a shield.
I did detect a few slightly darker patches of cloud in amongst the others; rain is on the way, mayhap? This one on the left, was almost like countries, islands on the sea? But, with the state of my eyes. May not actually be in there at all. Hehe! This wider shot is so interesting to any Pareidolian with half-decent eyesight.A poodle, amongst others. Grrreat!
An hour or later rain cameth. Short and sharp. I went on the balcony to take this shot through the window of the car park below. The roadway barely looked wet to me? From the end opened window, it was a different story. The mudslide puddle that came from Woodthorpe Grange Park, seemed much bigger than yesterday to me.
I made a start on this blog. I was getting tired now, and as usual, my eyesight and hearing both faded.
Going to make something to eat and get my head down… that’s the plan. The simplest of meals tonight. Baked beans & beetroot cubes, with a dollop of concentrated Borscht, some of the tasteless sliced bread rolls to dip in the Borscht. I enjoyed it, but not the cleaning up afterwards. After washing the well beetroot-stained bowl and spoon, the tray needed doing. Then by overly-large flabby stomach and legs, had to be de-beetrooted. Hehehe!
The Careress arrived, Carolynne, I think it was, not seen her for a while. Meds and eye drops were sorted. And I remembered for once to ask her to attach the catheter night pouch. All done without any problems.
I settled in search of sleep… and found it. Grrreat
